why YOU should be using AZELAIC ACID
azelaic acid is a super amazing ingredient in skincare ! it aids in: even skin tone target stubborn spots soothes irritation & redness PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster 🍃key ingredients 🍃 azelaic acid (skin brightening, texture improving) glycerin (skin replenishing) salicylic acid (exfoliant) licorice root extract (skin soothing) I really really love this product!! it claims to do what is listed above, and I must say that it does this. I use this every night in my routine. it is a cream texture which I was surprised with at first because I had previously used the NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% which is a serum formula. before using this product, when I would pop my pimples...(I know I know, but we have all been there right?!), I would wake up with a huge scar on my face with redness everywhere! NOW, (for the occasional time that I do get pimples and pop them), the redness fades very soon after and I wake up looking like I never had a pimple there in the first place! my jawline tends to be prone to texture & pimples, and I believe that this product is a key reason as to why I don’t get many bumps or pimples there anymore!! I swear by this product and will definitely be trying to repurchase it in the future if my budget allows me to haha. PAULA’S CHOICE: 1oz for $36

🍒ANY FARMACISTS OUT HERE?! 🍒
🍒 Are you a Farmacy lover? Perhaps a self proclaimed Farmacist? 😉 What are you favourite products?! What others do I NEED to know about? Cue, my first ever Farmacy purchase! I’ve been eyeing this brand forevvvvveer, and I hear nothing but good things from all you skincare lovers on here! I try not to have too many products on the go at the same time, but now that I’m finished my Biossance eye cream, I thought I’d give Farmacy’s Cheer up, and Earth Harbors Aqua Aura a spin before I resort back to my HG eye cream (Biossance). 🍒The texture at first feels very soft and plush almost, but you can definitely feel it absorb as a thick cream! It feels super hydrating a soft on the skin when patch tested. 🍒It claims to firm and smooth the look of fine lines, with 4% vitamin C, natural peptides and Caffeine. While three types of vitamin C including acerola cherry rejuvenate the eye contour and help reduce the look of dark circles. 🍒This little guy goes for $58 CAD for a 15ml pot and has a 1 year P.A.O lifespan! Based on patch test I’m excited to dig into this and have high hopes for this product! Can’t wait to update you with my results ! Simple Look Friday
Hi Cherie! I hope you’re all having a great Friday!! my favorite look is a “natural” look. I love dewy looking skin, but I don’t like looking like I’m wearing so much makeup! My current go-to look has been quite simple! I wash my face with CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin & then I use I'm from - Rice Toner Once that fully absorbs, I’ll lightly pat The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% over my skin. Finally, I’ll put ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream all over my face & neck. I LOVE this stuff. It hydrates & moisturizes without being too much & it smells amazing!! That’s it for my face. Then I’ll move on to my eyes. I’ll put trèStiQue - Conceal, Cover & Correct Crayon & then use MAYBELLINE - Hyper Easy Waterproof Liquid Liner In Pitch Black in the top corner of my eyes, I do this to highlight the mascara I’ll be adding next. Finally, after curling & brushing out my lashes, I will put MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect on my top & bottom lashes. Finally, I will use WINKY LUX - Limited Edition Flower Balm on my lips. This goes on clear but then turns this pretty bright pink color! I love it because it always keeps my lips hydrated! & that’s it! My natural makeup routine! Thanks so much for reading & I hope you guys try out my look! Talk to you soon! 💖💋

Updated Night Routine!
I had a lot of empties in January, so here is my updated night routine! I have a post detailing actives that I use and my schedule around those actives, so they won’t be included in this post. My first step is my double-cleansing step, I use the Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser (📍)to remove SPF and makeup, which I really love, it’s very unique, but it doesn’t break me out at all. Then I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser (📍) to cleanse a second time, I really enjoy this too, my skin tends to freak out when it comes to Laneige’s fragrance, but this is fragrance-free!! After cleansing I steam my face with the Dr Dennis Gross - Pro Facial Steamer which I feel like has really helped the hydration levels of my skin. After that I’ll apply the TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener (📍)which I also like, but I’m not sure how much it’s really done for my skin for what it’s worth. I’ll steam again, for about 30 seconds and then go into my PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum which is the only serum that can truly repair my moisture barrier when I’m breaking out. Then my eye product is The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (📍)which I’ve been loving a lot too! My current winter moisturizer is the Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream which again, I like, but it feels like it puts a barrier on my skin, which kind of felt weird to begin with. After moisturizer, my last two steps are to treat any breakouts or spots with the Murad - Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment and use something to lock it all in like the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil it does the job, but smells super weird. The only way I’ve been able to describe it is, picture the olive bar at a local grocery store, and the smell that comes from that. Not super pleasant, but it’s okay. 📍= product was sent to me for free
These are my ride or die
So, I have an autoimmune disease and I tend to have lots of inflammation. That being said, when I wake up puffy like a blow fish 🐠.... these are my life savers ! The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this little baby packs a punch! De-puffs and gives my eyes a wake up call!! It is unique in that it is not a cream. At first I wasn’t sure, but I’m hooked. One drop on each eye does the trick. Easy to apply, smooth and silky! Wake up those peepers with this little bottle of magic 🪄!! mizz bloom - JADE ROLLER this is my go to in morning to drain my lymphatic system. I keep mine in my skin fridge, so it is nice and cold! Add my serums and then have a nice little roll! De puffs my face and helps with contouring. T
My skincare routine for DRY SKIN
So I have dry skin and it is a bit sensitive and I found that these products worked best for me. I apply it in such order 1) Cleanser 2) Toner 3) Serum/Booster 4) Moisturizer 5) Sunscreen (AM only) For the cleanser LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser I really enjoyed it. It did wonders for my dry skin. It has a creamy milky consistency that doesn’t lather ensuring that your skin isn’t overly stripped. I would also recommend this product if you have sensitive skin because it has 8 ingredients! For sensitive skin it is better to use less ingredients to ensure that your skin doesn’t get irritated. I would compare the consistency to CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Next I use a toner. FARMACY - Deep Sweep The only reason I actually use it is because of the BHA. I found it to not be irritating and my skin didn’t have a tingling feeling either. Since I do have dry skin I don’t use it all over my face. I only use it on my chin for whiteheads and on my nose for blackheads. Another plus is that this toner is alcohol free! After that I use a serum/booster. VERSED - HYDRATION STATION Booster With HA This booster is really good and I didn’t find it to be sticky as others might say. It has a lightweight consistency and almost feels like there isn’t anything on your face. After I apply this booster my skin feels really soft and hydrated which is a must for dry skin. Hyaluronic acid offers those benefits. The moisturizer I use is the HONEST - The Daily Calm Lightweight Moisturizer When I found out that Honest Beauty came out with this formula I was impressed because they usually use fragrances (essential oils) in their products. I decided to give it a try because it is fragrance free. However, it had a noticeable scent to it that wasn’t pleasant. Yes it is fragrance free but it just has a noticeable “lotion” type smell that you can smell all day. Besides that one problem I have no complaints. (If you have moisturizer suggestions for dry skin please let me know) Finally I use sunscreen. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA +++ This right here is one of the only sunscreens with zinc oxide that doesn’t leave a white cast. Sunscreen is an essential part of your skincare routine no matter what your skin tone is. You should definitely be using one especially if you exfoliate. It feels like there is nothing on your face. I definitely recommend this one!!
In the AM I wash my face with VERSED - WASH IT OUT Gel Cleanser then I rub in 4 drops of VERSED - HYDRATION STATION Booster With HA . It says to use 1-3 drops but I found it works better to use a little more. Moving on to make up, I shake up the Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint and apply 4 finger tips worth to my forehead cheeks and chin. Then I mix a little Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color and MAYBELLINE - STROBING LIQUID™ ILLUMINATING HIGHLIGHTER together on my hand and tap cheeks until satisfied. I use my finger to apply MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Eye Shadow . I put a little SEPHORA COLLECTION - Colorful Shadow & Liner on the inside of my eye and line with KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - KVD VEGAN BEAUTY Tattoo Liner

2020 empties and new goodies!!
here are all of my 2020 empties!!! i went ahead and categorized them by brand so that i dont get things mixed up. etude house ——————— ETUDE - SoonJung pH6.5 Whip Cleanser my favorite fungal acne safe cleanser!! its perfect for dry combo skin! ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner a great fungal acne safe hydrating toner! better for dry skin, it would sometimes leave me oily at the end of the day. drunk elephant ————————— DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum although this serum isn’t fungal acne safe, my skin seems to enjoy it. it has a gel texture and actually regulates my oily forehead DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream another non fungal acne safe products. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Deluxe Sample again... not fungal acne safe but STILL didn’t cause me to have any breakouts!! the protini feels similar in terms of thickness and the over all feeling on the skin but it feels more “ wearable “ first aid beauty ————————— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i was super excited to tey this out because the ingredients are fungal acne safe and the claims were ideal for my skin type but sadly i was disappointed 😞 it didn’t control my oil but rather left mw with this shine on my forehead! and it didn’t moisture my dry cheeks. epic fail FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream this is a very basic fungal acne safe moisturizer i recommend to literally every one. i do like it and all but i find my skin still breaking out while i use this product. i would give it a 3 1/2 stars but i cant. CUROLOGY!!!! ———————— Curology - Curology formula Curology - Curology formula if you have fungal acne THIS is the treatment you NEED to try!!! my holy grail!! naturium ————— NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream technically this moisturizer isn’t fungal acne safe because it contains polysorbate HOWEVER its one of the last ingredients listed so its not likely to have any affect. this is my FAVORITE MOISTURIZER!!! super affordable and feels luxurious and its amazing on my combo skin NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% my favorite fungal acne safe niacinamide serum!!! its affordable and it does exactly what it claims to do. literally cant get any better than this other lonely products ————————————- boscia - Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer this is a fungal acne safe moisturizer however its not very good at moisturizing or controlling oil 😕 but the packaging is cute i guess

✨NEW HOLY GRAIL EVERYDAY PRODUCT✨
found a serum that truly works!!💕🧡 StriVectin - Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum This product has made my skin feel more hydrated and my skin has been glowing ever since I started the product. This actually gave me instant results by the second day and I love it! The formula is super light weight, non-sticky and absorbs quick. It does have a light citrusy scent🍊.Although, I try to refrain from scented products for my face but this was an exception because this really worked for me. So if you’re looking for a serum to add to your skincare routine I would highly recommend this product! Texture: not to watery, just about right. Best cleanser for acne prone skin
For #fridayfavorites I want to highlight a #cultfavorite COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser After hearing so many good things about this cleanser I had to try it. I ordered it from Stylevana and was happy that the order arrived in a week! For 11 CAD I think it’s value for money considering how good this cleanser is. It’s very gentle on my skin and I tend to use this cleanser more often than others. It has a gel like consistency and is not too foamy and a little goes a long way. It washes away impurities without stripping my skin. It has a low PH which is said to be effective in protecting our skin’s acid mantle. #acidmantle protects the skin from harmful bacteria that can cause acne and other skin problems. Low ph cleansers are also good for people with eczema and dryness. FUN FACT: did you know this product was crowd sourced!! Customers gave feedback to @cosrx asking for a low ph cleanser and they delivered! Isn’t that awesome! #fridayfavorites #funfactfridays #cosrxcleanser #cosrxph #fanfav #kleanbsecrets #myfavoriteproducts #skincareproductsthatwork #skincareproducts #skincarephotography #productphotographer #productphotography #torontoskincareblogger #skincareformen #skincareforallcultures
Get unready with me PM
After I do a double cleanse to remove makeup and sunscreen I'll use these products which are my favorite for my nighttime routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft without stripping the face of it's natural oils. It contains Ceramides which are great with not only hydrating and restoring the skin barrier but they're great for skin with redness or rosacea. 10/10 - basic cleanser that's not too harsh and gets the job done. [Get more out of this cleanser by applying it to dry skin (not moist or wet) and then adding water to lather it into skin even more effectively] The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (for any skin type) immediately leaves the skin with a beautiful glow as this Vit B3 will work its way into the skin to remove hyperpigmentation as well as post acne (red) marks. Niacinamide or Nicotinamide is known to calm redness in the skin, and most especially help treat rosacea. This product works wonders and I have found it to personally work better for my skin than Vit C. 10/10 - my absolute favorite part of both my daytime and nighttime routine 💕 Will always repurchase. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin will moisturize and help restore the protective skin barrier with three essential ceramides. (Again your red skin will love those CERAMIDES) I absolutely love this cream for the PM and always will. Great effective moisturizer that will always hydrate my dry skin in all seasons. I love anything that's fragrance free, especially since this moisturizer is obviously left on my face over night. 10/10 SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule Facial Serum (for any skin type) I'll apply this pure Centella Asiatica (100%) ampoule occasionally after my moisturizer. It's known for its calming effects of any redness (rosacea or inflammations) or irritation on the skin. My face not only feels soft but soothed. Can I just say I absolutely love its beautiful packaging (which is partly why I also purchased this) ! 😍 8/10
My Favorite Centella Product for Angry Skin!
Although I’ve only been using this product for 2 weeks, I already love it for a few reasons: 1. It’s pure 100% Centella Asiatica Extract, and thats hard to find. The CosRx Centella Ampoule, for example, only has 85% Centella Leaf Water, with the extract being minimal, at the very bottom of the ingredients list. 2. It’s not irritating. Because it doesn’t have a long ingredient list, I haven’t had any irritation problems, and I’ve got super sensitive skin. 3. The texture is great. It’s almost like water in texture, and it dries on the skin really nicely. There’s no tackiness or over drying. Often times, I like to mix a few drops with my moisturizer, because it helps me use less moisturizer, and it makes for such a nice texture. 4. It’s hard to say for certain what the results has been so far, but I think it’s working to help calm down my inflammation. I’ve recently had really congested skin, with lots of patches of breakouts and discoloration. The past week my skin has been a lot calmer, and I attribute that to the combination of my Paula’s Choice Azelaic Acid booster, and this Centella Ampoule. Overall, I’m really happy with this product. A little goes a long way, and for $20, it’s totally worth it. It’s time people stopped sleeping on SKIN1004, because this product is a gem. Why does my skin react different night vs day?
Over the years I have gone through hundreds of products figuring out what works for me. I have finally found a good set of products that I love, but sometimes when I use certain products in the daytime (such as Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and certain facemasks, I breakout so much worse than I do when I use the same exact product at night! I am confused by this so I have been wondering if it’s related to my oil levels throughout the day or what? Should I be using more drying products in the day time and hydrating at night? The only ones that really work for me day and night are The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil although I know Hyram has said oils are not for the face
getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.

Drunk Elephant- The Littles 🐘
I won this cute little kit in a raffle & I couldn’t be more thankful! I have always wanted to try these products but never wanted to spend the money on all of them incase I didn’t like them! Inside this kit are the following products: DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 That’s literally a whole skincare routine! So far I started out my day with one of Drunk Elephants infamous “Face Smoothies” I washed my face with Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser & then combined C-Firma Day Serum, Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, & Protini Polypeptide Cream together on my mixing trey with a disposable skincare spatula! I applied it all over my face & neck. Once that absorbed, I applied Umbra Tinte Daily Defense SPF 30 over my face & neck & was done! I love how the kit comes with steps to walk you through different routines you can use in the morning or at night! I will do a follow up review after I have used all the products for a few weeks! But so far, my skin feels & looks great! I have been breaking out lately & haven’t felt the best about my skin so I really needed this pick me up!! Thank you for reading! You guys are the best!! ❤️ @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
THE BEST MOISTURIZERS I HAVE EVER BOUGHT
These are my HOLY GRAIL moisturizers. I spent so much time looking for the perfect moisturizers, and I have arrived! 🤩 And everyone could benefit from any of these. I'm a huge believer in that even if you don't have "sensitive skin" it's so important to use moisturizers with non-irritating, and barrier protecting ingredients, that won't clog pores or cause breakouts. I am super prone to clogged pores, fungal acne, and breakouts, and I am extremely picky about my moisturizers. I only use ones that don't clog pores! For my oily skin babies, the #La Roche-Posay - TOLERIANE FLUIDE OIL FREE MOISTURIZER[products]#[FiveStars] is amazing! In the winter I found it to be not moisturizing enough, but in the summer it was perfect for my combo skin. There is no chance this moisturizer will clog pores or irritate breakouts. It's so lightweight and wears great under makeup. It's also oil, essential oil, and fragrance free. I do find this a bit overpriced, especially since I went through it pretty fast. It's the most expensive out of the three of these, being about $30. Some say this is purely an oily skin moisturizer, but I think anyone can benefit from the Benton - Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel I love using this especially after a chemical peel or when my skin is irritated. It's extremely calming and redness relieving. I find it to be both moisturizing and hydrating, especially when I lock it all in with my vanicream moistuizer which I will mention next! This gel is the only moisturizer I use on my forehead because it's AMAZING for FUNGAL ACNE. It has antibacterial properties and doesn't promote growth in fungal acne. It's smoothed down my forehead so much, and it's only like $15! Now let me tell you about the #Vanicream - Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer [products]#[FiveStars] . This is the BEST moisturizer I've ever owned in MY LIFE. Even though I don't have super oily skin, I still crave a deeply moisturizing moisturizer with ceramides and humectants. But most of them out there aren't suitable for acne prone skin. So for those of ya'll with DRY, ACNE-PRONE skin, you will LOVE this. Same with aging skin, sensitive skin...if you have SKIN you will love this. This moisturizer has squalene, Glycerin, and 5 key ceramides, and it's $14.99! And it's guaranteed NO reaction or NO sensitivity, which I love. I picked this up after I was sick of using the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream and found that it was breaking me out, and wasn't moisturizing enough. It has about the same texture, but the vanicream is less gel-like. BUT with the added antiaging and peptide/ceramide benefits, you could say this was a dupe for the DE one...just better!

YTTP Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser This stuff is so great! I’ve been breaking out lately and my regular oil cleansers just didn’t cut it. I think my skin might just be purging because it wasn’t used to so much oil but who knows. But this definitely helped get rid of a lot of those breakouts. This is also so gentle it didn’t strip my skin which honestly shocked me because a lot of “gentle” cleansers absolutely kill my skin. But this is super! I read from someone’s review on here that this is an oil based cleanser according to the YTTP website but I couldn’t find out if that was true or not 🤷🏻♀️
Current morning & night routine ☀️🌙
Hey beauties! I wanted to share my current skin routine for morning & night, since I've updated it with some new products that I'm enjoying and it's been working for me. Hope it works for you too! :) ☀️Morning: 1. I typically don't wash my face since all I did was sleep and I do this routine pretty soon after I wake up. So the first step is really to use almost a whole pump of OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum on my whole face 2. Then I use about a dime sized amount of myKiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream 3. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom goes on my lips - I prefer either fig, birthday, berry or coconut 4. Volia! That's easy :) 🌙Evening: 1. Cleanse my face in the shower using a half pump of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser 2. After my shower, I sometimes use my facial roller (it's SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Rollerand Idk what to rate it as since it's the only one I have) 3. Next is the serum - depending on what's the issue; if it's acne:Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, redness and/or irritation: Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, or just feels ok / needs a little something to smooth out or be more hydrated: TATCHA - The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment 4. If I want to use an eye cream, I go with the Ole Henriksen banana bright eye creme from this set: OLE HENRIKSEN - Let's Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set it's a half size one and the set is only $40 5. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom again because it's hydrating enough for me (yes my lips do get dry since they're a little chapped when I wake up, but I don't think I necessarily need a lip mask) 6. Of course, the last step is a facial spray, and it's always my Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spraybc I can't live without it. In case you're curious, the total price for my routine is $363!! (that includes all the products I mentioned) 🤯

It’s empty and...it’s worth it!
Hiya! I was lucky enough to receive this elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 from a giveaway through@cherie(thank you 🥰🥰). It actually lasted me way longer than I thought it would and... I miss it. The good: + Feels like a very light-weight moisturizer + Works well with all types of makeup on top (no pilling) + Easy to reapply and absolutely no white cast + Great packaging, I love the pump + Definitely plays well with active acne and general acne prone skin + Absolutely zero skin irritation, it feels very very gentle + Doesn’t leave skin oily or too shiny The not so good: - It’s actually kind of hard to find... so to buy this I need to either order online or pick up from a dermatologist. It’s not a super affordable sunscreen, but I’m okay to invest a little bit more money in sunscreen. And this also feels like it’s worth the price tag. I’m currently working on another bottle of sunscreen but once that’s done I’m likely going to be going back this one. If I can find it 🙈 Ps I have combo, acne prone skin
Ok guys if you been following me my bumps are starting to dry up and now I have dark spots. My right side is completely healed and the left is my trouble side. After seeing my dermatologist for my follow up appointment she went up on the dose of the retinoid I use at night. If you are wondering my routine this is what I'm using. Also go look at my old pics to see where I started from. Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask I love this as it dries out my bumps LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I use this at night and love how it's super light CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion light way and keeps face moisturizer at night elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I use the tinted version now great for black girls only in the morning and I do two fingers when I apply it The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I just started using it super light weight. I started as a suggestion to help purging. Haven't told my dermatologist I'm using it but it has made the bumps on the right side calm down so so far so good. I'll update this to five stars after I have enough data to support if it really works.CeraVe - Healing Ointment I use when I experience dryness from the winter. A lot goes a long way .
⚡️EXFOLIATION NIGHT ROUTINE⚡️
On Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I exfoliate!! Monday nights are the days I apply my retinol, while Thursday and Saturday I use my regular chemical exfoliant ✨ 🌿CLEANSER- Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser I LOVE this cleanser! I have combination-oily skin, but recently I’ve been trying to hydrate my skin more and it’s done WONDERS for my oil production! This cleanser is not stripping at all and leaves my skin soft and hydrated! ⚡️EXFOLIATOR- 💙RETINOL (Monday’s)- DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I’ve been prescribed this by my doctor about a year ago and saw a huge difference with my acne. I just started using it again, and I forgot how much it helps. The only con is that I forget how drying and irritating it can be. Once a week is a good spot for me right now at this dosage. ☕️CHEMICAL- YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner This is my first chemical exfoliator and it’s lasting me a longgg time. I enjoy using this as it’s very good at deep cleansing my pores and getting extra dirt out of them. It has a ‘natural’ smell, aka not an amazing one. But still gets the job done! 💧SERUMS- ☁️The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I LOVE THIS it’s absolutely amazing at controlling my oil production and evening out my skin!!! I will say though, I haven’t noticed it help with my acne, but I don’t believe niacinamide is supposed to treat acne. 🌊The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5Just started using this, so can’t really rate it. But I love hyaluronic acid serums so I’m sure it’ll be great :) 💦FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum this could be so good, but I’ve noticed that it burns my face, especially my cheeks when I apply it. Shame. 👀 EYE SERUM- The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I’ve struggled my whole teenage life with bags under my eyes. It seemed as if it didn’t matter how much sleep I got, I was always puffy and baggy. This is helping reduce the bags so much!! Bless the ordinary 🐘MOISTURIZER- DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream I have been using this for about 2.5 weeks, and i just love the look and feel of my skin after I use it and when I wake up in the morning. It’s plump and hydrated 👄LIPS- LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask this is only 3 stars because honestly I get the same results if I put on carmex before bed. It’s a nice experience with the spatula applicator and everything, but it’s not worth the money.

Morning routine for bright and glowy skin
Me last year = lots and lots of breakouts. Me now = still very acne prone BUT got a hold of it and now I want to target acne scars, get glowy skin and avoid any future flare ups. My morning and evening routines are fairly different. In the evening, I do a double cleanse and use products like my benzagel face wash to reduce the chances of getting acne and mix up a couple different products such as acids or retinol depending on what my skin needs. But in the morning I try to go for a hydrating and brightening routine that will help me reduce my pesky acne scars and make me look glowy and more awake! I also love this routine because most products are from the drugstore. Products: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser This is great for the morning. It’s gentle, hydrating and won’t strip the skin. Definitely worth your money. I'm from - Rice Toner Loving this toner for the morning to help keep my skin plump and bright. This is one of products that I depend on to gently fade my acne scars and overall brighten my whole face. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum I’m not quite ready to give a full review on this yet, but so far, so good! This serum has a higher percentage of vitamin c (10%) than the latest one I was using and also vitamin e and ferulic acid. Overall, skin is glowy and it’s not irritated at all, so I’m happy. THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Keeps eyes hydrated, helps de-puff, all good in my books. HONEST - Hydrogel Cream So excited to put up a full review about this product, but overall, great ingredients that keep skin moisturized and I love how glowy it makes my skin look in the morning. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 Light-weight, good protection, no white cast and also helps give skin a little glow in the morning. Super happy with this purchase so far. Thought of the day: I had been doing a water cleanse in the morning for the last few months but recently read that it wasn’t the best idea. So I’ve started to use this gentle cleanser from Cerave for now. My skin seems to be liking it so far! Does anyone else do a water cleanse in the AM?

Routine for Combo to Oily Skin
This is for the user@jlynn! Just remember these products might not work for you because everyone has different skin! I might give you two options for a skincare step/product. It takes 8-12 weeks to see the full results of this routine. This the order you should apply it in. Ask any questions in the comments! Morning Routine: CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser- this is a salicylic cleanser that will help with acne! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% OR PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster- this reduces oils and helps with acne, blackheads, pores, dullness, etc. put 1-4 drops on your fingers and pat/rub in. patch test before use. both of these products do the same thing but some people are sensitive to the zinc in The Ordinary serum so I just wanted to give two options! i personally use The Ordinary Niacinamide because it works for me. CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin OR YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream- the CeraVe Cream is inexpensive and has spf in it so you don’t have to buy sunscreen separately. also has niacinamide and zinc in it which helps with acne. this version is extra light but they do have the same thing except slightly thicker. the only thing is that it isn’t vegan or cruelty-free (all the other products are). then the Superfood Air-Whip Cream. this is formulated specifically for combo to oily skin! it hydrates but isn’t super thick. it is also formulated with hyaluronic acid which is a great ingredient that hydrates without making your skin oily. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40- this is if you choose a moisturizer that doesn’t already have spf in it!! this sunscreen is lightweight and won’t leave you feeling greasy. Night Time Routine: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser- this goes deep into your pores so it is great for acne! i absolutely love it PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator- great for acne, blackheads, and pores. patch test before use. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream OR CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion- same two options as before except the CeraVe one does not have SPF in it now and isn’t as lightweight. Other: The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution- this is great for oily skin, acne, blackheads, texture, etc. you can use this every night but since it is very strong I would recommend only using about 2-3 times a week. when you use it, use it at night and not in the morning! use it after cleansing but before serums. patch test before use Krave - Great Barrier Relief- use this whenever your skin is feeling irritated or is red! it will give you relief and restore your barriers. you can use this as a light moisturizer or you can apply it like a serum with moisturizer on top. Note: If you use this routine for three months or so and literally nothing changes then I recommend just washing your face once a day with the SuperFood Cleanser and then after using the Krave Great Barrier Relief and a light moisturizer and that’s it. Because sometimes your face just needs a bit of a break and you need to restore your barriers. But that’s if it’s been months and nothing seems to work! I hope this routine will work for you and you will end up liking some of these products!

krave beauty ⚡️
*the beet shield: this is the first sunscreen I’ve ever used and I’m already stocked up after this one runs out. It isn’t oily, it doesn’t leave a cast, and it leaves me with a glow! *matcha hemp cleanser: this cleanser doesn’t leave a tight feeling on my face and hydrates my skin :) it still does the job even when I skip oil cleansing *great barrier relief: anytime I use a new product or overuse a product that breaks me out, this serum is really good at calming my skin down. I can’t layer it with too many things but the purpose is to reset your skin *toner: this toner makes my skin feel really soft. when i first used it it tingled a lot, so I only use it 2 times a week max when I’m not using my mandelic acid. also i only use a little bc using too much hurts my face Through any products I have tried, I’ve always turned back to these and plan on reordering when I run out :)

HELP: STARTING A NEW ROUTINE?! 🤪
Hey all!! I’m newer to the skin scare space and looking for AM/PM routine suggestions. My skin is normal/combo and recently I’ve been having frequent dehydration which may be due to extra exercise in my daily routine. I’m looking for products to keep my skin CLEAN, HYDRATED, PROTECTED, PLUMP and GLOWY. I do have acne scars on my forehead, sides of my face, and chin. My most acne prone area is around my chin and it has been like this for the past few months- breakouts in that area every other day. I’ve been looking into the following products to help my skin: Cleanser: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Possible along with the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinfor my acne problem area hydration: PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster Or The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics Or DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum For hydration Evening skin tone: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Boosterfor evening skin tone For additional serums/essences to make the skin appear more glowy/youthful I was thinking of trying: Krave - Great Barrier Relief Or TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum Exfoliation: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Moisturizer: Open to suggestions. Heard good things about CeraVe and Youth to the People The products I’m using now are Okay but I would like to step it up and have clear glowy skin without needing to use makeup :) I appreciate any suggestions/tips from more experienced skin care lovers 💖💖
