WAXING MY FACE🤪
Heres a few clips from sugar waxing my face last night! I use this method mostly to help remove peach fuzz (vellus hairs) from my face. The follicles on my cheek are prone to “ infection” or acne and blackheads so I try to do this once a month to remove any buildup. If you’re interested, be sure to remove all dirt and oil from your face so the sugar adheres to the skin better. Be sure to do a mild mechanical exfoliation. I use a konjac sponge. So amazing for facial exfoliation. The Konjac Sponge Co - The Elements Water Facial Sponge

ARE YOUR MAKE UP TOOLS CAUSING YOUR BREAKOUTS?🤔
There are so many beauty tools out there to help us apply our makeup and give us a flawless finish, but could the tools we use be affecting the appearance of our skin? ⚡️Make-up Sponges: Makeup sponges make it easy to blend our makeup and apply face powders but they are pools for bacteria! Makeup and water can build up inside of make up sponges. Even mold can accumulate inside of the sponge without us knowing. The bacteria from makeup sponges can cause breakouts. ⚡️Oval Make-up Brush: These brushes are super dense with tons of bristles. While they make applying foundation and other creamy makeup easy dirt and makeup can get stuck inside the bristles and can be very hard to clean. This can cause build up of bacteria in the brush which can cause breakouts ⚡️Traditional Make-up Brush: A regular make up brush are not exempt from bacteria but because they are much less dense they are easier to clean. For foundation and concealer brushes we should be washing them a minimum of once a week and eyeshadow and eyeliner brushes should be cleaned at least twice a month to avoid build up and the accumulation of bacteria. ⚡️Silicone Blenders: These blenders are not porous so you maximize whatever product you are applying with it. It has a slick surface so it is easy to clean with soap and water or a makeup wipe. You don’t have to worry about bacteria getting inside of this beauty tool and causing breakouts. ⚡️How to clean brushes: 1. Wet the bristles with lukewarm water. 2. Place a drop of your cleanser of choice into the palm of your clean hand. 3. Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm. 4. Rinse the bristles thoroughly. 5. Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel. 6. Re-form the brush head back into its original shape. 7. Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of the counter which allows it to dry in the correct shape. Never let your brushes dry on a towel — the bristles can turn mildewy. ⚡️How to clean make-up sponges: There are so many ways to wash a make-up sponge. You can throw it in the washing machine and wash with soap and water but the way I feel like I get the best clean is in the microwave to zap away bacteria. 1. Make soap and water mixture in microwave safe cup 2. Fully submerge sponge into mixture 3. Heat in microwave for about a minute 4. Rinse under clean water and squeeze out remnants of makeup 5. Let air dry Verdict: I think silicone blenders are the best for your skin and the most sanitary of the beauty tools but if you prefer other tools just make sure you clean them frequently and properly to avoid skin irritation and breakouts.

Makeup For Transgender Women!
With my first makeup post coming tomorrow, I figured I would briefly go over some general makeup tips for transgender women! It’s not always easy to find makeup content specifically for us and our concerns so in no particular order, let’s go! Create contour lines more rounded to define face structure. -Especially on the jaw area! This will create less angularity in the face structure, making your face shape appear more traditionally feminine Use orange colour corrector SPARINGLY and only where/if needed. -Especially with fairer/ more pink skin tones, dark/coarse hair will create texture and discolouration. Too much will cause bleeding through your base, and too little will make those blue tones stand out even more. The places to focus on are generally chin, upper neck and jawline. Oil-free products!!! -While biology does not and should not dictate how one lives life, it can dictate what your skin does and how it reacts. Female skin typically contains more subcutaneous fat than male, which makes their skin a lot smoother and supple, male skin typically tends to be oilier due to testosterones ability to make one sweat more often, and their body odour stronger. Oil-free/mattifying foundation is your best bet. If you prefer a more dewy/satin finish, you can use highlighter, setting spray and different setting techniques to not only lock the foundation in, but remove the excess powder! After a period of time on HRT, you will eventually begin developing that subcutaneous fat, and not only your facial structure, but also the way your makeup applies will change! Full-coverage ≠ The ONLY coverage When you have a lot of tones to correct in your face, you can begin to feel like full coverage is the only option you have. Use colour corrector along with a stick concealer over the colour corrector so that you can be more sparing on foundation or just use one that has less coverage, leaving less texture and a super smooth finish. Bold does not mean “feminine” One can become accustomed to overly bold makeup and use it as almost a crutch for pass-ability, but a pretty cherry-red lip, cool pink blush, and mascara with naturally defined eyes can make a HUGE statement by being so... understated. In the words of Jackie Aina; “if you want to wear blue eyeshadow on your tongue, Jesus will still love you!”, but for those of us who don’t have as much skill, or interest in makeup but still want to have a more feminine appearance, they can pick up the basics and look WONDERFUL!! Find a skin care line and NEVER stray! Having a strict skin care routine, that covers all three required steps for washing the face/prepping the skin for makeup is vital in making makeup lay flawlessly. It lays best on skin that has been cleansed, toned, and moisturized. Primer is also HUGE, which brings us to our last and VERY tip! Mix Primers Matte in the T-zone, dewy on the outer perimeter, colour correcting on the neck, make magic!p
A fun way to push my skill limit. I used my friends pallet that I am promoting and my own personal lashes to create this look. If either product catches your eye fee free to reach out!
HELP! Makeup for large/oily pores anyone?
My pores are so huge! My makeup sinks into them and when I get oily it’s especially worse. Here is what i currently use: Too Faced - Peach Perfect Dynamic Duo Set -I don’t have the set but I used the primer. Not sure if it’s working REVOLUTION banana powder -it’s seems to keep my skin from oil but not for extended periods of time. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation I love this foundation it’s the only one that matches my skin tone perfectly. I just need products that will support it and make it last. URBAN DECAY - De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray This is amazing but I feel like it doesn’t hold as well! I feel like maybe my makeup routine is off or I’m not using products correctly to maximize wear time.
