I have very sensitive skin, too sun, makeup, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen., you name it! But here are some products that work for my skin. I’ve never had a horrible issue with my skin *knock on wood* but I did got through a few years of acne and flakiness on my skin. Off and on now I’ll get occasional breakouts but they will go away if I tend my skin correctly. Morning routine• Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion

Help my eyes!!!
I feel like I’ve tried a dozen products and cult favorites and nothing seems to help my dark circles and fine lines under my eyes! I pretty consistently use pixi - DetoxifEYEbut don’t see much impact from them. I’ve used caffeine THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Creamfor months, no real results. I’ve tried pixi - Collagen Eye Serum, just okay. I delved into cult favorites and tried OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crèmeand feel like it doesn’t do anything for me at all. I finally splurged and bought GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask— $42 for a pretty tiny jar means it has to be good, right?? After about a month...still no improvement. What are your favorite eye products for my concerns??
Face masks galore!!
I can confidently say that the biggest contributing factor to my skincare success as of late is....🥁🥁🥁 face masking. I face mask almost every. single. day. Depending on what my face needs that day. Here’s a peek at my current collection, a few missing bc I didn’t feel like taking them out of the fridge ☺️ Current favorites for various purposes: Declogging pores: PETER THOMAS ROTH - Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask Exfoliating: PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer Depuffing: CLARINS - V-Facial Intensive Wrap Eye mask: pixi - DetoxifEYE (feel amazing after a long day of zoom calls!!) Just all around magically making my skin smooth and even and glowy: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which I always always follow up with PETER THOMAS ROTH - Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask I also LOVE multi-masking — I often put a charcoal/declogging mask on my nose, a lifting mask on my forehead, and a depuffing mask on my cheeks/under my jawline. Throw on some eye gels and you’re sure to freak your husband out like I do regularly!
Good morning 😊☀️
Let’s talk about my updated morning routine. So I worked out all of my Kylie skin products and my face is so happy. I use the origins scrub cleanser, the good molecules niacinamide toner, the good molecules niacinamide serum, the origins ginzing eye cream and the origins mega bright oil free moisturizer with spf 30. the origins cleanser makes me feel so refreshed and awake🧡. It has little beads in it so it’s also and exfoliator. I try not to rub too hard because of that but this cleanser makes my face feel so clean and hydrated after. It also smells like oranges. This product replaced the Kylie skin foam cleanser (which kinda burned my face a little🤢). ($21)ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser the good molecules toner is literally the best😍😍. This toner is supposed to brighten, make pores less visible and even out your skin tone. It did just that. I am so happy with the way my skin has turned out. I always had issues with discoloration and this toner helps with that😍. My skin is brighter and smoother and I have this toner to thank for that✨. ($14)GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner the good molecules niacinamide serum does just about the same thing the toner does. It helps brighten my skin and minimize the look of pores. I love it. This product replaced my Kylie skin vitamin c serum (which did nothing). I love this serum. All you need is a few drops. ($6)GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum the eye cream has really helped my dark circles and it makes me looks more awake. I love that it’s tinted and has a sponge tip applicator. This product replaced the Kylie skin eye cream (which did nothing). BEWARE that i have the on the go version and not the full product. ($25)ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff for moisturizers I use the mega bright with spf if I’m going out and the ultra hydrating boost if I’m just sitting in the house. The ultra hydrating boost is a sample that they sent me and I was just trying out. I like it but it is kinda tingly on the skin. I’m not really sure if it’s supposed to be or not. But is does leave my skin looking hydrated so I’ll give it that. I’m not really sure is I’m going to be buying the full size product. ORIGINS - GinZing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream The mega bright however feels nice on the skin, makes me look hydrated. This has also helped even out my skin tone but since it’s $59, I probably won’t buy it again😭. It’s just a little too expensive for me😭ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Bright SPF 30 Skin Tone Correcting Oil-Free Moisturizer I literally love my morning routine and for the fist time I actually see a change in my skin and I couldn’t be more excited ☺️☺️. But who knows, maybe I’ll switch it up on day. But for now this works for me 😊💖
Bright eyes 🤩
Okay so I’m loving both of these eye creams! They are my jam! If you have read my other post then you know I love to switch up my products weekly and I’m loving these in my rotation. They are actually pretty similar in my opinion, they have a similar texture and shimmer to them. If you are one of my budget girls (I’m with you), then the Earth to Skin eye cream will be your jam :) I had the earth to skin eye cream before I got the origins one. I love both, their very similar in my opinion. You can’t go wrong with either 💞 ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff I love the texture and it has a shimmer to it that basically brightens your undereye immediately. I’m definitely going to have to buy this in the full size, because it’s almost empty 😳 I’m about to cut it so I can scrape off the insides of the tube 😂 I do believe it’s a little over priced!! earthtoskin - Tea Time Anti Aging Eye Cream As you know I’m a big fan of Earth to Skin products. Walmart really stepped up their game :) this is super similar to the origins eye cream. It has similar texture and shimmer to it like Origins. IIt’s SUPER affordable, so it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. I don’t think that you will be disappointed. :)

Trying out the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay!
I finally tried this mask for the first time as SO many people have raves about it online!! Ive heard everybody saying nothing but good things about it- so I had to give it a go! 🙊 I have acne prone skin and have had acne scars ever since I was 15, with my pores getting bigger as I get older so this mask sounded like a miracle! 😝 My best friend brought it online and got 2 so gave one to me for around $35NZD, so seemed like an awesome deal considering this bad boy was sold out everywhere at one point it was that popular! The size of the tub is huge too so will definitely last me for ages! 😍 It was amazing to smooth onto my face, and I loved the green colour. You just mix with a bit of water or apple cider vinegar and stir (avoiding metal as this can alter the performance or the clay). I left my mask on for 20minutes as I don’t have sensitive skin- if you do have sensitive skin you leave it on for around 10minutes. It changes colour to a slightly lighter green as it dries and starts cracking after a few minutes- I love the look of the cracked clay 🙊 I loved the tightening feeling of this after around 8minutes- I could barely move my face but I loved that sensation! 🙊 It made it feel like it was really sucking out my pores and getting rid of any nasties. After I washed it off with warm water and a flannel I had only a little redness, but holy moly my skin felt SO soft and smooth and my pores appeared smaller already!! Also my skin felt tighter (it was!) after the mask and my fine lines wern’t as noticeable because of that 😍 I can’t wait to try out this mask more to see if it clears any of my active breakouts and blackheads. Definitely recommend so far, but I will keep you posted again on how it goes for me 😊❤️ AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay
Aztec Clay Mask
Saved my skin :) The Aztec Clay Mask powder is mixed with apple cider vinegar, the scent is very strong but the results are so worth it. After the mask dries u wash it off with warm water and it leaves your skin red, this is normal because it means it’s taking out the gunk out of your skin. After a couple uses you will see how your skin started to clear up and look so much better. Your skin will be glowing. I saw a big improvement in my acne after a week of use and I’m sure you will too:) This is one of my favorite mask because it’s so easy to use. Make sure to use a plastic spoon instead of metal. If you have sensitive skin make sure to replace the vinegar with water.
Review my skincare routine 🌟
My skin is combination, but mainly oily. I’ve always had trouble with oily skin and I’m still perfecting my routine. I’ve recently switched to all non fragrance and I️ can already tell it has helped a ton. Morning: Simple - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel I️ like this a lot but I️ can tell it’s a bit drying on areas like my under eye and cheeks. I️ just use my hands, no washcloth to clean my skin. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 this sunscreen is perfect for toning down redness while keeping oil at bay. I’d recommend especially if you don’t wear makeup Night: Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water Simple - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream I️ also want to get a chemical exfoliant to try and help my large pores. Although most of my acne is gone i deal with a lot of hyper pigmentation from past acne. Let me know if anyone has suggestions on new products or what I️ could change to help my skin!

Glossier: More than Aesthetics
When I first heard of this brand, I was a bit skeptical. I thought that that the company focused on packaging and marketing instead of quality formulations. I also thought that many of the formulas would have high concentrations of fragrance. After much research and testing, I have come to find that I was wrong. The brand has fragrance-free products with quality formulas. ——————————————————————————————— Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream This product includes antioxidants such as blueberry extract that can reduce factors related to sun damage. It also contains a skin replenishing peptide along with sodium hyaluronate which helps to plump skin. The hydrating ingredients of this product include squalane and avocado oil. -This product comes packaged in an aluminum bottle with a pump which helps protect the light and air sensitive ingredients from exposure. -The lightweight lotion absorbs quickly and works well under makeup. -Around the eyes, it immediately hydrates and it also works well if layered with other skincare products. -The product is easy to spread so a ton of product is not necessary. -Fragrance-free Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum This product features a new form of vitamin C which is magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. This form of vitamin C could be beneficial to the skin, but lacks the research to prove of its brightening and anti-aging effects. -Water light liquid texture. -Fragrance-free. -Not much research behind magnesium PCA helping to energize skin. -Lacks other anti-aging ingredients to strengthen the formula. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color Now this is a light-weight, cream blush that is easy to use. It aims to deliver a sheer color which is good for a natural finish. -This product is easy to blend and has a natural feel to it which is adequate for all skin types. -It’s easy to build up the color or just leave it for a more faint natural look. -Fragrance-free. Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum This is a hyaluronic acid serum that plumps skin and vitamin B5 for hydration. -Smooth liquid texture works well layered with other products or on its own. -Fragrance-free. -Needs more beneficial ingredients to bolster the formula instead of relying on two main ingredients. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom Now, this product has a very hydrating formula since it has petrolatum which is exceptional for dryness and has skin protectant properties. The formula also has beeswax, castor oil, and lanolin which are amazing ingredients to seal moisture in. -The mint version has menthol which can impair skin and lead to chapped lips. -The birthday cake flavor is formulated with limonene, a common skin irritant. Glossier. - Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter A simple yet effective highlighter. -Fragrance-free -Has many beneficial plant oils Conclusion: This brand has many products worthy of recommendations!
Current night routine!!
This has been my night routine for a few days now since I want my skin to be brighter, have less acne, and be hydrated. Here's the steps: Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser - I'm currently on a trip, so I have the travel size, so I used two pumps. I normally use one pump with the 6 oz bottle. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum - ok it's tough to say how much I use, since it's like a small drop on my cheeks and forehead that I smooth in. I'd say I use like about 1/4 of a full dropper as an estimate?? Maybe it's less but I don't use so much that my face is wet. Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream - I do literally a half-pump because I don't need that much, plus it's super hydrating. If I do have extra then I put it below my eyebrows on the eye socket bone - but not on my eyelid. I find this area gets dry too. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance - I use one pump and distribute it to my nose, nose bridge, chin, top of my cheeks (like the top half) and my forehead near my eyebrows; basically my t-zone, since this area gets super oily and if I put priming moisturizer rich on it, then it's hydrated but then super oily because it's too much hydration. I like the formula because it soaks in and prevents oilness after hydration (if you find what amount works for you). Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream - I put this on the dry and normal areas of my face - on my bottom cheek area/jawline, most of my forehead, and any areas I missed. I use enough to cover my fingertip with some on top, like the size of a penny. Also if I get any redness before this step then the lavender usually calms it down which is nice. Clearasil - Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream - the amount I use daily depends on what acne I have, but usually it's a super tiny anount and it really goes a long way. Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray - I spray until I feel satisfied tbh and when my skin is cool again and redness subsides - about 5-10 seconds of spraying. Hope this helps for anyone with combo skin!! Btw I'm combo because I have normal, dry and oily areas of my skin and it's fun to see what my skin needs everyday.
SENSITIVE SKINCARE REVIEW DRUGSTORE EDITION.
Hey Lovelies ! I hope ur doing well. Today’s blog is about skincare , but specifically for sensitive skin like mine. Something happened to my skin , I had eczema on my face it was really bad , so sadly I had to give away 600$ worth of skincare and I’ve discovered Avène. Avène have changed my skin completely honestly , Lots of researches but 100% worth it I promise. First let’s talk cleansing. The Cleansing milk is amazing , The texture is perfect to remove ur makeup while cleaning it. And makes ur skin smooth like a baby. The toner. The toner is great and gentle , Removes the impurities and it doesn’t burn cause it has rice water. The Serum is from Aveeno. Honestly I like it to give a glow , but it’s okay it can burn a little so I recommend to let the toner dry first. But overall it’s a good serum. The moisturizer , OMG THE BEST!!! This moisturizer is light , it’s hydrating , the perfect cream texture , Not heavy at all. And makes ur skin nice and fully hydrated. If u had redness it will definitely reduce ur redness. It’s pretty much this for this review I hope this helps. See u soon , Bye my lovelies ❤️😘 #skincarereview #sensitiveskin #Avène #Aveeno #Goodproducts #Worthit
Skincare products for allergy-prone skin-Round 1
I have combination-dry skin in spring and summer, and dry skin in fall and winter. I also have allergy-prone skin with bumps. Let me share some skin care products that I've used before. Facial Cleanser: Curél - Foaming Facial Wash It's a low pH face cleanser that protects the skin's moisture barrier while soothing dry-sensitive skin. It creates a dense foamy lather which cleanses well enough for me when I don't wear makeup during my allergy flares. Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion It's alcohol-free, preservative-free, and scent-free. It has a soft texture which spreads easily and I can apply just a little amount to my entire face. After that, I'll use a tissue soaked in Avène Thermal Spring Water to wipe off any leftover lotion. I normally use this cleansing lotion when I have severe allergies. Toner: HABA Pure Roots G-Lotion It stabilizes the skin if we use it regularly. I will always use G-lotion as a base before using other toners. Facial Cream: Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cream It's alcohol-free and scent-free. I will apply a thick layer of this cream on my face whenever I have a severe allergy.
How I got clear skin (Day time routine)*
Okay so it’s important that I first not that diet is key*. I drink the recommended amount of bottles of water a day (8) and cut out a lot of sweets and especially sodas. With that being said fruit and veggies are your best friends I KNOW it’s cliche but honestly it’s important. Products: (Disclaimer I am a products junky) 🤫 Morning when my skin is normal : Cleanser: BURT’S BEES - Orange Essence Facial Cleanser OR pūrlisse - Blue Lotus 4~in~1 Cleansing Milk (both of these are gentle and clean very well) Toner: Carbon Theory. - Tea Tree Oil & Citric Acid Breakout Control Facial Purifying Tonic or Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner (if my skin feel too oily kiehls if I need some acne help carbon theory) Exfoliate (2-3xs a week) : ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub Mask (only when I feel my pores need extra cleaning): FORMULA 10.0.6 - Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mask Serum: Seoul Ceuticals - 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum (best potency of vitamin c) && The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Eye Cream: fARSÁLI - Haldi Eyes (when my eye are dry and tired) TULA SKINCARE - Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm (if I didn’t get enough sleep and have puffy eyes) Moisturizer: Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (I use this if I’m staying in the house) TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (if I’m going outside and want a nice glow) *** if I’m going outside in the sun I spray my entire body and face with Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Spray Sunscreen SPF100 (I know spf doesn’t really matter as long as it’s 30spf but a girl likes the extra security) **** Let me know if you want my night time routine ☺️
Seoul Ceuticals-20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Hello everyone! If you guys saw my previous post you know I’m trying to get rid of these red bumps on my face. I changed up some of my routine to see if that’ll help so this is part 2 of my journey! 😌 Products I use in the morning: -today I started by using Cetaphil - Redness Relief Face Wash it’s my first time using this so idk if I like it yet. -then I use DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner honestly I’m not sure if this is doing anything I’ve been using it for almost a month haven’t seen results. -then I massage Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream under my eyes, I like this product it leaves my under eyes very hydrated as to brightening, it hasn’t really brightened my dark circles. -I apply The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to my face. I usually dab it. It’s my second day using this product so I can’t really judge if it’s worked for me or not yet. -and finally I lock in the Niacinamide with my Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer I actually am not a big fan of this product my skin never feels fully hydrated after using this, I am looking for an alternative but this is the one I currently have. Products I use at night: *I use the same products I use in the morning, although instead of the hydro boost moisturizer, I use CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I like the way this product feels on my skin but I’m not sure if I should stop using it because around the time I started using some products is when all these red bumps flared up on my face. Masks I use once or twice per week: - I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Once every week for 10 mins. I heard really good things about this product but I just started using it last week so we’ll see how it goes. -I also use face mask sheets infused with green tea I bought from Tjmaxx, I’m honestly not sure if they’re good but they give my face a feeling of freshness after. I hope this post helps anyone out there with anything! If you guys have any tips or ideas on my skin care routine I would love the feedback. Thank you! 🥰

Review my routine!
Hi everyone! Still fairly new to skincare so my routine definitely still has room for improvement. I have combo skin where I can get a bit oily in the T-zone but dry around my nose, mouth, and eyes. So far this routine is working pretty well for me but I don’t feel like I am getting enough moisture. Also if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! CleanserOLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser okay I love this cleanser! It’s so gentle and I don’t feel like it strips my skin. Exfoliating cleanser THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Microdermabrasion I use this once or twice a week and it’s okay. I prefer the philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash but it’s not cruelty free and it’s fairly expensive. SerumThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is AMAZING it helped clear up my skin in about a week. Eye creams:THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream I don’t really see results from this one. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I got this as a sample and I feel like it’s nice and moisturizing under my eyes, I don’t see dramatic results though. Moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic I recently started using this and I can definitely see an improvement, my only complaint is it doesn’t smell great. Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Day Cream While I don’t use this anymore I do still love it and use it for if I go overkill irritating my skin. Acne alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch These work well and are so affordable! Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment One of the few spot treatments that actually works on me.

the time has come... REVIEW MY ROUTINE!
hey Cherie fam! i finally decided it was time to post my daily/weekly routine!! i’ve curated this routine over a looooong period of time, and i think i’ve almost got it right! so here it is: TWICE DAILY: i like to double cleanse, so i always start with the FATCO - Cleansing Oil for Normal/Combo Skin i’ve used this oil on and off for the last few years, and i’ve really been loving it lately! it moisturizes and helps remove makeup, dirt, and any oils my skin has produced during the day. then i go with my Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser i like this cleanser a lot because i feel like it actually cleanses my skin, unlike a lot of cleansers i’ve tried that only feel like they’re cleaning the top layer of my skin. this one gets deep! next, i use a few drops of the no b.s. - Vitamin C + E Serum i really like this serum because i feel like it’s helped even out my skin tone and texture and it doesn’t take forever to soak into my skin! as the packaging recommends, i leave this to sit for about 5 minute for moving on to my next step. however, during those 5 minutes, i’ll apply my VERSED - VACATION EYES Brightening Eye Gel this is the FIRST under eye product i’ve ever used that REALLY WORKS to get rid of my dark circles!! magic in a tube if you ask me. after those 5 minutes have passed, i’ll use 3-5 spritzes of the INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner this is the newest product in my routine, but i’m in LOVE! i’ve been looking for a great toner for a while now, and this one, which happened to be a gift, is so great! it moisturizes and sets my skin without leaving me feeling stripped or sticky. finally, i moisturize with my all time fave: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer this moisturizer keeps my skin hydrated without being sticky or oily. i would highly recommend for those with dry, tires skin! EVERY MORNING: in the morning, i like to use the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 it’s a really great, really affordable SPF that doesn’t make my skin feel greasy or grimy. ONCE A WEEK: i’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions about The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution , but i’m a fan! i think it leaves my skin feeling great, and not stripped at all which is pretty common for me with most chemical exfoliants. i usually use this peel after cleansing, but before the rest of my routine. so, what do you think?? i’d love to hear your compliments, comments, and critiques on my routine.

NECESSITIES: Skincare the Korean Way
I was asked on Twitter to do product reviews regarding my Korean skincare, so I was thinking, “Hey, why not put it on Cherie as well?”. Not all of my followers use Cherie and not a lot of people know me on Cherie, but hopefully if you come across this somehow, you can take something away from this post. Because I have so many products I’m going to do this in waves: - Necessities - Acne Gods - Exfoliators - Cleansers - Lip Care - Highschool Carry Ons - The God of All Serums - Face Masks This round is Necessities! I will be going over the products I use on a daily basis without fail. Even if I wake up a few minutes late, I can get this simple routine done in about 5-7 minutes. Super easy right? I am going to do this in order that I use them. First is Soo'AE - HEMP DREAMS CLEANSING OIL . This is my first step after makeup removal. I don’t normally use a lot of makeup or any makeup for that matter, so I can usually go straight to an oil cleanser. A good oil cleanser should be deep cleansing and hydrating, they should be essentially melting all the makeup and nasty that makeup remover doesn’t get. SooAe, an Korean-American skincare brand has released this cleansing oil which uses Hemp seed oil in order to do a deep cleaning and hydrate at the same time. All I do is take a pump of this, massage it into my face, then massage in some warm water. The cleansing oil should turn a milky white once the water is introduced. Following an oil cleanser, I ALWAYS have to go in with another non-oil based cleanser. I like foam cleansers because they tend to be water based and they are really light and airy. NATURE REPUBLIC - Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Foam Cleanser is perfect for what I need. As I have normal skin type (thank you 엄마 mom and 아빠 dad!!), I am all about hydrating and protecting. The aloe very has a soothing effect and most definitely leaves my skin nice and restored by the end. This cleanser also doesn’t leave any makeup or nasty in your pores. On a good day, I would do a triple cleanse and follow up with a pore cleansing foam or my weekly exfoliating cleanser, but this is bare necessities. That being said, following my double cleansing method, I follow up with LANEIGE - Essential Power Skin Toner for Normal to Dry Skin . Anyone who knows me knows I swear my entire life by Laneige. The reason is because of their HUGE selection of water based skincare. The Essential Power Skin Toner is super refreshing and acts as a third cleanser while also replenishing moisture. Keyword here is MOISTURE!!! Most toners tend to dry out the skin, but Laneige doesn’t disappoint and hydrates like no other. Of course, following any good toner should be an essence. I use LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydro Essence . It not only boosts hydration, but it locks in any moisture in your skin and prepares your skin to absorb any serums, essential oils, or face mask/packs that you use after. Even if you don’t use oils, serums, masks, etc. using essence before eye cream and even simple moisturizer will prepare your skin for an ultra hydration party. Normally, I would use serums and a face mask/pack, but since the clock is ticking before I have to leave the house, I’m going to skip straight to eye cream. Eye cream is NOT ONLY FOR AGING ADULTS! Eye cream/gels are used to treat and maintain the skin around our eyes. The skin around our eyes are the weakest, thinnest, and most sensitive skin on our bodies, so we need to take really really good care of it. Another product of LANEIGE - Water Bank Eye Gel . I was born with the typical Asian eyes which are on the smaller side, so when I am tired and my eyes are a bit swollen, my eyes look 10x smaller. Not the prettiest thing to look at. This eye gel is not only light and hydrating, but it also has a cooling effect which wakes me up a bit. Following this, I use the LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydrating Gel . Since I moved from Korea, I can’t seem to find this in the States, so I have my grandparents bring this over for me when they come for their visits. With this, a little goes a long way, so despite the small size, it hydrates and leaves your skin looking plump and glowy all day long. While I brush my teeth and last minute pack my school bag, I let the two Water Bank gels fully absorb and then follow up with AHC - Natural Perfecting Double Shield Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++ with a SPF of 50+. You should use a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 no matter the weather forecast is. If you are going outside and the sun is out, put on the damn sunscreen. Your skin will thank you later. There are a number of reasons I recommend this. The first one being that it is a sunscreen and a color corrected all in one. I tend to pink really easily, and not a cute blush. I mean the pink where you low key look like a lobster the minute you go into the sun for more than 10 minutes. Since the color of the sunstuck is green, it naturally cancels out the redness. The other reason I recommend this is because it is so much easier and portable than suncreams/screens. It’s a stick that can be easily tossed into my bag when I need to put more sunscreen on (you should put reapply sunscreen after about 2 hours). Last big reason I like this is because it doesn’t leave that oily looking residue and it doesn’t become sticky and nasty when you sweat. The last of the Water Bank line and the Necessities lineup is the LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydrating Gel , which also has a cooling effect and can be put over sunscreen to give your skin that extra glow. I’m telling you, if you keep using this gel, your skin will be baby smooth within a week or two. Admittedly, some of these products are on the pricier side, but the results are worth the extra 5-7 bucks you will pay, plus, with these product, a lot goes a long way. All of the Laneige gels last me a good 6-7 months each and the toner and essence lasts me nearly an entire year. Keep in mind that I follow this skincare routine twice a day/everyday. That’s a lot longer than most products last, so consider throwing in a bit more money for a lot of results~ I hope you learned a lot from this post and were able to benefit from my reviews. I will continue with the waves and hopefully I will get through every wave my the end of next week.
LANEIGE-Essential Power Skin Toner for Normal to Dry Skin
Why You Should Be Exfoliating Once a Week 🖤
Exfoliation is the process where we remove dead skin from the surface of our skin. It is so important to remove these dead skin cells so they don’t build up. If they do it’s very easy for sebum to get trapped underneath without being able to escape which in turn causes break outs. It also creates a barrier where your products don’t properly penetrate the skin making them less effective than they could be. I have oily yet dehydrated acne prone skin so my favorite way to exfoliate is to use Glycolic Acid. It is an AHA which helps loosen up the bonds that keep dead skin cells on the face. It also has the ability to really get down in the follicle and loosen up any built up sebum that could lead to break outs making it great for oily or acne prone skin. So far my favorite product with this ingredient is the StriVectin - Glycolic Skin Reset Mask . It’s really pricy at $59 but I’ve seen really good results using this weekly. ALWAYS read the instructions on the back when working with acids. I only leave this mask on for 5 minutes once a week. The first time I used this it felt a little uncomfortable but it’s something your skin has to get used to if you’re new to acids (I would also always patch test when using acids). I’ve been using this weekly for months (a little goes a long way) and I barely have break outs anymore. A lot of texture has left my face and it’s super smooth. Another cheaper option is the pixi - Glow Tonic and the pixi - Glow Glycolic Boost Brightening Face Mask Sheet . This is a leave on treatment I would do after my cleanser. They advertise it for daily use but I wouldn’t purely for the fact this dried my face out if I used it daily. I did see decent results with it but it wasn’t worth the continued use. It also has a lot of fragrance as well that I’m not a fan of for leave on products. If you have sensitive skin a more gentle option is the GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask . I absolutely love this for night time. If you have oily skin like me you can get away with using this as your moisturizer. If you don’t and still want to use it I would recommend this be the last step before your moisturizer so it can still penetrate the skin and your moisturizer locks the product in. It’s a very unique textured gel moisturizer. For me personally it doesn’t feel sticky or tacky once it’s absorbed but you do have to work the product in til it is absorbed. It’s super gentle and can be used nightly. It does have fragrance (which smells like amazing jolly ranchers) but with its Clean At Sephora seal it has less than 1% fragrance which I’m okay with unlike the Pixi Toner. There are definitely other exfoliating acids out there (like lactic or malic) but for oily, acne prone skin I prefer glycolic. If you have any questions about acids please let me know 🖤 and always patch test before you use them as well as read the instructions!
