Wig length guide | How to measure & How to choose!
I’m obsessed with wigs because my natural hair is kinky and curly. I don’t know how much I spent on wigs over the past several years, but I did know how to pick the best wig for your need at a reasonable price after buying many wigs from synthetic to natural ones! So I can’t wait to share some basic rules for you to help you choose the ideal wig! Artificial hair or Natural hair Wigs can be expensive. The price of an excellent human hair wig is between $400 and $5,000, depending on who created it and the type of hair used. Fortunately, some well-made synthetic wigs are much cheaper, sometimes less than $100, although they are rare and require a lot of research. Artificial wigs are usually only used for a few months. However, with proper care, you can use a human wig for several years. What length of the wig should you get? For the same length, a wig with a smooth texture will appear longer than a curly one because of the curls. Suppose you want your wig to reach you at the shoulder, in that case, you must choose a length of 10 inches. If you want a wig that reaches you at the scapula level, you will have to take 14 inches. For a hairstyle that falls in the middle of the back: prefer an 18-inch lace wig, you want to have hair that falls to you at the bottom of the back, go for a length of 24 inches.
5 things you should never do while you wear wigs!
Since I have wearing hair extensions for three years, maybe I can say I'm a "hair expert"! Here are some tips to help you get the most satisfaction from your wig and keep it looking great, just like day one. You know that if you want to keep the hair extension you carefully selected beautiful and supple, some precautions must be taken!! Treat your wig with gentleness, patience, and attention! 1. Do not wash with too hot water as this will soften the fasteners, which could slip and fall. Avoid getting any products containing alcohol or oil directly on the lace when removing your wig for shampooing. 2. In all cases, avoid products containing petroleum jelly and lanolin, which grease and weigh down the hair and ultimately dry it out since they do not provide true hydration. 3. Never sleep with damp hair, always make sure it is completely dry before going to bed. If they dry out while you move around in your sleep, they might get tangled the next morning. 4. For a natural and light look, do not use too many hair care and styling products. A few drops per day are sufficient. An excess of products weighs down the hair and makes it difficult to handle. Also, it would require you to shampoo frequently, which would complicate your routine. 5. If you wear artificial hair integration, always remember, don't wash your wigs! Since synthetic hair extensions are not natural, they cannot withstand proper washing, which means you can't shampoo them like your natural hair. If you try to clean them in any way, shape, or form, they will be destroyed immediately. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about hair extensions! I would be happy to help you!
Makeup Mistakes You Might be Making⁉️
I've made tons of makeup mistakes in my trial and error of wearing makeup! My makeup philosophy is that it should at a bare minimum enhance my features! These are two of the biggest mistakes I've made and how I apply makeup to avoid them. CONCEALER Mistake: adding concealer under my eyes in a giant triangle, for my round face shape this pulls my eye down and adds to the fullness in my cheeks. Correction: add concealer to the inner corner and outer corner of the under eye only. This will conceal the dark spots on the inner corner and lift the outer corner! It will also be a lot lighter under the eye and will crease much less. BLUSH Mistake: adding blush to the apple of my cheek, for round and full cheeks this will only add to them! Making the face look round and wide! Correction: only add blush to the back half of the cheek, stopping in line with the pupil. This will lift the cheeks and even start to sculpt them, like contour. I used the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer it's full coverage and doesn't budge, plus it feels super lightweight. For blush I used MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in the shade Nude Flush, it's a color dupe for Glossier's Cloud Paint in Dusk. #CheriePartner
