Moon prism power fail? 🌙
This review is pretty late considering how long ago the products came out but I was hoping they would grow on me with time. I immediately bought the blush in Cat’s Eye and The Moonlight Lip Bundle once they became available on Colourpop’s website. First of all, the packaging is amazing. For any Sailor Moon fans or collectors, these are beautiful! For anyone who wants to actually wear the makeup, read on. The lip bundle includes Sailor Moon Ultra Glossy Lip, a coral pink gloss with gold sparkles, and Bun Head Ultra Blotted Lip, a sheer rose pink liquid lipstick. While I found the shades flattering, they almost seemed to dry out my lips and application seemed to almost drag against my skin. I would say that these shades are unlikely to show up on darker skin tones though. I had a hard time choosing which blush to buy but ended up choosing Cat’s Eye. It’s a deeper rose pink that is more universal and subtle, while the other shade is a bright Barbie pink. However, this does have pearlescent clunky sparkles that prevent me from using this more often. It does have good pigmentation and lasts for about 6-8 hours on application. Don’t get me wrong. I like some of Colourpop’s products. They’re super shock highlighters are amazing but I’d pass on buying more from this collection.

Colourpop X Sailormoon 🌙✨💕
Created this look with the entire COLOURPOP - Sailor Moon x Collection
Sailor Moon x Colourpop
There’s something so enchanting about pastel colors; they’re soft and whimsical. The softness of the color, however, can sometimes make pastel shadows nearly impossible to see. Palettes that focus on pastels can either fall flat or they can be stunning. Colourpop’s palette collaboration with Sailor Moon, the Pretty Guardian, is an example of a pastel palette done right! The colors show up on a range of skintones - fair to deep. The color story is perfect for the upcoming spring and summer! I’ve already created gorgeous soft, colorful looks with this palette. Colourpop created a palette that immediately inspires creativity upon opening it! I am looking forward to 🥰
Colourpop Velvet LUX vs Ultra Blotted Lip
COLOURPOP - Lux Velvet Liquid Lipstick Collection I currently own the colors Puddin’ (burnt red orange) and Room Service (warm terra-cotta) and I’m loving them both as wearable everyday lip colors for warm undertones! The formula is mousse-y which I love, is not drying, feels like I’m wearing a balm when I press my lips together but doesn’t not transfer. The formula doesn’t last forever like a traditional liquid lip but stays on longer than other velvet lip formulas I’ve used. I am able to add many layers without any problems at all! COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip I’ve heard great things about the blotted lip and the formula indeed creates an “ombré” look on the lip. The formula dries much quicker than the LUX and does not transfer. Unlike the Velvet LUX, it’s not as comfortable rubbing my lips together. I do love the color I got (sleepy eyes), as it is one of the few rose nudes that work well on my warm undertone! However, I am not loving the fact that if I add two layers for a bolder look, the formula will pill on top of each other and looks streaky. I’d say the blotted lip is more of a lip stain, serving as a one layer wonder. Cheers to 💄

Blush on the go 🏃🏻♀️💨
Do you ever find yourself doing your makeup in a rush? Or in the bus on your way to school or work? Then you need products that are easy to apply and look good! Enter the Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek A multi-use type of product that will save you precious time, will leave you looking blushed and precious in just a couple of swipes and it’s so easy to use on the go; my favorite shades are Quickie, a beautiful berry color that looks super deep but applies so sheer and pretty and looks gorgeous on a ton of different skin tones! I use it on my lids, cheeks and lips for a cute monochrome look. Werk is dusty rose color that applies a bit more pigmented but is just as easy to blend! The price is a bit steep for the full size, but it lasts forever! I personally prefer the minis since they’re the easiest to travel with or throw in your purse and be out the house and it will last you a long time as well!

Blush is something I never thought much about because I just never found a color that suited me or my skin tone! But I got this product in a ALLURE box and I decided to try it and it works so so well! It looks like it has shimmer but when its applied it gives the most subtle natural glow! I love this product so much and I use it on my no makeup days as well as on top of foundation when I do makeup on others!auNATURALE - The Anywhere Creme Multistick

Colourpop ULTRA BLOTTED LIP SWATCH & dupe?!
The Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip is an incredible dupe for Kylie Cosmetics’ Lip Blush. I own the shade Tattle Tail, which is a rose pink shade (swatched on my hand on the bottom). While it’s not a perfect shade match, the formula and packaging are nearly identical. A closer shade match may be Cypress Chill, also from the Ultra Blotted Lip line. COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip

Best gloss ever 💯
My favorite going out gloss ✨✨✨ The COLOURPOP - Ultra Glossy Lip in Champagne Mami is a beautiful warm-toned gloss with golden specks of shimmer, the formula is amazing, slightly sticky which is to be expected for a gloss but it’s not goopy. The shimmer is very fine so it’s not uncomfortable, it adds a slight tint of color which I love for a gloss and I think it would look amazing on many different skin tones; another win for Colourpop!
