Morning skincare routine ☀️

over.blushed
As a person who deals with both hormonal acne and eczema, finding skincare products that don’t disrupt my skin’s natural barrier is a delicate balance. These skincare products have consistently kept my skin in check. My face looks softened and dewy (but not oily)! Because my skin changes day to day, I adjust this routine based on my skin’s needs but otherwise this is usually my go-to morning routine. Hope you spotted a product you like too! Also, let me know if you have any skincare recommendations! I’m always willing to try new things! 😄

over.blushedYea I can see what you mean! Sometimes this may not be enough for me on cold, dry days. In that case, I would add on the hanskin hyaluronic essence or add cosrx’s rice overnight mask as a general moisturizer on top!

Current morning & night routine ☀️🌙
Hey beauties! I wanted to share my current skin routine for morning & night, since I've updated it with some new products that I'm enjoying and it's been working for me. Hope it works for you too! :) ☀️Morning: 1. I typically don't wash my face since all I did was sleep and I do this routine pretty soon after I wake up. So the first step is really to use almost a whole pump of OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum on my whole face 2. Then I use about a dime sized amount of myKiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream 3. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom goes on my lips - I prefer either fig, birthday, berry or coconut 4. Volia! That's easy :) 🌙Evening: 1. Cleanse my face in the shower using a half pump of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser 2. After my shower, I sometimes use my facial roller (it's SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Rollerand Idk what to rate it as since it's the only one I have) 3. Next is the serum - depending on what's the issue; if it's acne:Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, redness and/or irritation: Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, or just feels ok / needs a little something to smooth out or be more hydrated: TATCHA - The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment 4. If I want to use an eye cream, I go with the Ole Henriksen banana bright eye creme from this set: OLE HENRIKSEN - Let's Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set it's a half size one and the set is only $40 5. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom again because it's hydrating enough for me (yes my lips do get dry since they're a little chapped when I wake up, but I don't think I necessarily need a lip mask) 6. Of course, the last step is a facial spray, and it's always my Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spraybc I can't live without it. In case you're curious, the total price for my routine is $363!! (that includes all the products I mentioned) 🤯

Is this balm REALLY the balm.com?
This seems to be a cult classic on here so, I figured, being that I LOVE a good lip balm, I was so excited to try this! First off, the scent puts me to mind of my childhood- I’ll be honest, and much older- lip smackers vanilla buttercream lip gloss. It’s almost identical in shade- the iridescent sparkle- but the glossier balm is a much thicker consistency, and the smell is more subtle. I’m glad I tried it, and I will most definitely try other scents in the line! Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

Protect your skin from sun damage☀️🌝
The most crucial step in our everyday morning routine is sunscreen. It should be worn daily to protect our skin from harmful UV rays and help slow down signs of aging. It doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. In fact, I think the best ones out there are from the drugstore. Most sunscreens I have tried are all below $35. In this post, let me share my thoughts on some of them. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣Eucerin - Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 combination, spf 30 | A staple product. One of my top favorites. This is a moisturizer + sunscreen. I especially like using this alone on hotter days. It’s very moisturizing. Skin may look a lil shiny after applying but fades as it settles. May leave white streaks if not blended properly. It is lightweight so it’s perfect for oily skin. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 chemical spf 50 | this sunscreen is oil-free and water-resistant. Very lightweight and I think has the thinnest consistency among all sunscreens I have tried. Sinks in beautifully and leaves no white cast. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣DIFFERIN - Oil Absorbing Moisturizer SPF 30 chemical spf 30 | affordable moisturizer + sunscreen. Good for oily skin. It moisturizes well but dries down matte. It doesn’t leave white cast. You get 118ml of product for its price $10.49 which I think is a great deal. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣CeraVe - InVisibleZinc Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 30 mineral spf 30 | Overall a good sunscreen. Has ceramides and niacinamide to provide additional benefits. If you don’t mind a lil white cast, this would still work well for you. It is non-comedogenic, oil-free so would work well with oily skin. It may pill slightly throughout the day. Does not work well for very dry skin or with dry patches. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin chemical spf 30 | compared to the InvisibleZinc, this would work better for most skin types. It dries down to a matte finish while still being moisturizing enough. It also is very lightweight - as the name implies. It comes in a 50ml pump bottle which is not much. If you’re applying enough sunscreen daily, you’easily go through it in 2-3 weeks. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 combination spf 30 | good sunscreen but my least favorite of all Cerave sunscreens. It feels heavy on my oily skin and leaves me feeling a lil sticky. This is great for dry skin but may leave white cast - especially if not blended well. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50 mineral spf 50 | this has been my most favorite lately. It is a tinted sunscreen and I think would work well even for darker skin tone. Formula feels weightless and blends so easily. Honestly, you could barely feel it. It’s perfect for no-makeup days. It is oil-free and non-comedogenic. It comes in a small bottle of 30ml for $20, which is the only catch. But overall, awesome sunscreen. I highly recommend. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Smoothing Primer Serum SPF30 chemical spf 30 | Wonderful primer + sunscreen. I have to say I liked this better than I expected. I initially underestimated it but I eventually found myself reaching for it on days I have to wear foundation. This gives a flawless finish and even works well with powder foundation. Gives you extra sun protection plus makes your makeup last longer. It retails for $30 but I think it’s worth the price. The 30ml tube lasts a long time. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣elta md SKINCARE - UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41 mineral spf 41 | has to be one of my top favorite mineral sunscreens. It comes in a tinted formula so slightly helps hide imperfections. It’s oil-free, great for post-procedure, and never irritated my sensitized skin. This is a lil heavier compared to the Clinique one but definitely still light enough for oily skin. Great for all skin types and dermatologists’ no. 1 brand recommendation, you can never go wrong with this sunscreen. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣elta md SKINCARE - UV Shield Full-Body Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 45 combination spf 45 | sheer, oil-free facial sunscreen. This goes on smoothly and sinks in quickly. Works well under makeup and does not leave a greasy residue. Oil-free and safe for sensitive skin. This may leave a slight white cast for deeper skin tone. ⁣ ⁣ I have also previously used korean sunscreens from Neogen, Cosrx and Purito.⁣ The NEOGENLAB - Day-Light Protection Sun Screen SPF 50 PA+++ has heavy fragrance so overall not a fan of it. ⁣ The PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ has a great consistency but left me with red irritated skin. ⁣ The COSRX - Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++ worked better but the PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block is one I really loved.

Skin care routine | morning edition 🌞
I have been doing the same skincare routine for the past couple of months now and I think it’s the right one for what my skin is going through at this point of my life. After I finished my tried and true cleanser (Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel ) I decided to give the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel a try as I had read wonderful things about it on this app. Its a great facial cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin squeaky clean or stripped of moisture and thoroughly removes any leftover skincare from the night before. After cleansing I use the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum all over my face. I place a couple of drops in my hand and gently massage it into my skin, careful not to be rough or tugging at my skin. I follow up with the KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW following the same steps as above, gently massaging the product around my face and neck. Lastly I use my NEOGENLAB - Day-Light Protection Sun Screen SPF 50 PA+++ once all the other serums have been absorbed to protect my skin from damaging UV rays. A couple years ago I developed a lot of freckles around my cheekbones and nose that were never there before, and I know that is a result of unprotected sun exposure. Won’t be making that mistake anymore. This is what works for me. I have combo/ oily skin with a very grease prone t-zone. I find that having a proper morning routine helps curb oil production on my t-zone and moisturizes the dryer patches on the perimeter of my face, which leads to a more seamless and longer lasting makeup application. Xx.

The Benefits of Rice Water
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ I didn’t want to let the week go by without a natural post so I thought I’d talk about rice water. 😉 Rice water has been used in Asian beauty rituals for centuries. It’s said to be the secret behind their clear, glowing complexion. The skin brightening enzymes in rice water make it a key ingredient for Japanese and Korean skin care rituals. Health line say, Rice 🌾 water contains substances known to help protect and repair your skin. About 16% of its composition consists of proteins, the building blocks of skin cells. It’s enriched with triglycerides, lipids and starch, which are all responsible for enhancing skin health. Carbohydrates, inositol, phytic acid and inorganic substances make up the rest of the composition, making rice water an ideal DIY ingredient for achieving glowing skin. ☺️ 🧚‍♀️ Some people swear by the skin lightening powers of rice water. The chemicals in it are known to lighten pigment although how light isn’t known 🧐 🧚‍♀️ It’s said to soothe and tone skin. Studies found rice starch can be beneficial in repairing and maintaining the natural barrier of the skin. This can be helpful to prepare your skin to fight external aggressors and prevent issues like atopic dermatitis 🧚‍♀️ The chemicals contained in rice have been shown to help protect the skin against the sun’s rays and is an effective sunscreen when combined with other plant extracts Be Beautiful had an Article on fermented rice water. Fermented rice water is a more potent form of treatment that has added benefits of smoothening and conditioning. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 How to make fermented rice water 💦 Rinse rice properly with water first. Place rice into a glass bowl filled with water and soak for two days. This will trigger the natural fermentation process of rice. After two days, strain the rice and store it in a glass bottle in the refrigerator. The Shelf life is 7 days. When using fermented rice water, dilute a couple of tablespoons with normal water and apply with a cotton ball or pad. Leave it on for a half-hour and then wash as usual. You can also add aloe Vera 🌱 to rice 🍚 water and use as an overnight mask if you need extra hydration. ⚠️ Commercially packaged rice is treated with pesticides and can have dirt and bacteria accumulated from the production and packaging process. It’s is important to clean your batch of rice thoroughly before using its water for beauty purposes. I’m trialling REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Creambut once I’ve finished I’ll be replacing my acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner with fermented rice water to see if it helps smooth my rough texture, minimise pores, and brighten my complexion ☺️ I’ll post an update next week on if this homemade recipe works. Do you use rice water in products like SKll or Tatcha? I’d love to hear from you. ☺️ Have a wonderful day or evening Jade

5 Ways Snow Damages Your Skin
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ I realised it may be summer here in Australia but it’s cold 🥶 in the Northern Hemisphere and the issues of winter can be extremely bad for your skin. Some issues include: 🧚‍♀️ Transdermal Water loss Transepidermal water loss or TEWL refers to the skin's deprivation of water due to arid winter conditions. The drier the skin is genetically, or if you have a skin disorder, the more dramatic the symptoms. For especially dry areas, smooth on a petroleum based ointment like LUCAS' PAPAW REMEDIES - Lucas' Papaw Ointment Lip Balm it’s my go to lip balm 💋 🧚‍♀️ Icy Wind A major contributor to TEWL is the icy wind. The icy gales can aggravate skin and pull any moisture from your skin. I like to hydrate well in Winter ❄️ I noticed having just come out of the colder months here in Oz, I was using two moisturisers a day in Winter. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer and Auqest 5 Second Wrinkle Cream. I’ve trimmed down my day routine and currently use CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream☺️ 🧚‍♀️ Sun Exposure on an Icy Day The sun doesn't necessarily stop shining simply because snow is falling. Never skip sunscreen, snow reflects up to 80% of UV light so your hit twice by the same rays. 😱 I use BANANA BOAT - Ultra Sport Sunscreen lotion broad spectrum, SPF 50 I’ve been looking for a new product but I’ll use what I have before trialling a few recommendations from other beauty’s. The higher your SPF the better. 🤗 🧚‍♀️Extreme temperature shifts Very cold weather and icy wind gusts combined with lack of humidity, forced heat, hot baths and going outside for any length of time can accumulate to TEWL. Skin doesn't respond well to extreme temperatures, especially when exposed to both heat and cold in a short period of time. During winter make sure you wash with tepid or lukewarm water and use a cleanser designed for sensitive skin. I have mature combination skin and use acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner Exposing your skin to hot water can aggravate cold skin. 🧚‍♀️Lack of humidity The base level of humidity is a significant factor in maintaining hydrated skin. The drop in humidity in winter and the over heating of rooms can seriously dry out your skin. I’d suggest getting a humidifier in winter and why not drop a few drops of your favourite essential oil. 😉 Also hydrate well and ensure your products have ingredients like ceramides and emollients that keep skin from losing its moisture on cold dry days. 😁 I’ve realised writing this post that I’ve stripped down my skincare routine significantly as it’s gotten warmer. But I’m lucky that my fundamental products can be used during both seasons. What products do you use through the winter and summer months. Drop a comment below. 😉 Have a wonderful evening! Brands I love ❤️
For Valentine's day I figure I'd make a post about brands I LOVE and highly recomend! Paula’s choice I know I do not own many of her products and I think it’s because I want to try other brands as I explore the vast skincare world. I already know this one is trustworthy in my book. They not only have a great resource with their ingredient dictionary, but they use that knowledge and transparency to formulate great products. Even the negative reviews on this brand that I've seen still say they formulate very well. They are slightly on the pricey side (expect about $40 or more), but you cannot go wrong. I love their PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator especially and have used their PAULA'S CHOICE - Defense Nightly Reconditioning Moisturizer Krave Beauty They don’t carry a lot of products in their brand, but like a fine dining restaurant with a small menu, what they make is their specialty. Their products are reasonably priced and they focus on non-irritating effective ingredients to help your skin barrier. I currently have their Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser and their Krave - Great Barrier Relief Inkey List I love this brand and that they are making simple products with usually only once active and that allows people to try them to see how it effects their skin for a reasonable price. I currently have their rosehip oil because I didn’t know how my skin would react to it, but it’s known for hydrating and evening skin tone. I currently use their THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil Cosrx Another good brand that formulates well while still being very reasonably priced. I love their COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence CeraVe A tried and true brand. There is a reason why dermatologists recommend this. CeraVe is formulated with non irritating ingredients, that may make them seem “boring” by not being packed with actives, but effective. I have a few of their products. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum

My Current PM Routine
I recently did my AM routine.... Guess it's time to do my PM routine. Keep in mind my routines do tend to change frequently due to me trying different products to review, but this is my current one. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm (I have to double check, but I think it's fragrence free) So far I'm enjoying this one. I like the ease of the tube and the texture is nice to get off my makeup and sunscreen. I actually like this one better than Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm (not Fragrence free) and it's cheaper. I still enjoy then I met you, but it's not in the tube and I like inkey's texture better. Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser (Fragrence free) I've been using this one for PM because I feel like my milky cleansers aren't strong enough to get off the balm (it probably is). It's still gentle, while still feeling cleansing. I will say there's been times where I don't get it fully off and then when I go into my next step, it still foams up and I have to go back in and REALLY make sure I got it off Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence(I think it's fragrence free. Again I'd have to double check) I haven't used this one enough yet to make a review, but so far I like it. It's watery like a toner so that's how I've been using it. My go to is usually COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence which I still use in the AM. I want to like Hanskin because I don't have a toner and wouldn't mind using this product in that place COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (Fragren free) I've already reviewed this one! Def a holy grail because it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated. If you can get around the idea of using snail slime, it is worth it! ETUDE - Soonjung Hydro Barrier Cream(Fragrence free) Another product too soon to review since it just recently joined my routine. It does leave a little shine while its waiting to sink in so if I keep it in my routine it would be for PM. So far my go to is CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and I'm curious to find a cream that is a little more complex in it's ingredients list THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil (Fragrence free) I've been using this for a few weeks now. It is nice for hydration, but it sits on my skin. I feel like it sits on my skin for a long time. If I'm going straight to bed, I feel like it gets on my pillow and hair making a oily mess. I like to use this if I know I have time before laying down

Face Picking Relapse & How I’m Moving Forward
So.. it happened. I relapsed and started picking my face again for the umpteenth time. I won’t lie, relapsing on a bad behavior like skin-picking sucks! I definitely beat myself up over it and even gave up entirely on stopping for a few weeks. That is, until I realized that feeling bad about myself and actively allowing myself to pick were absolutely never going to help me stop. The only way to stop is to be kind to myself and try again. Now, I’m choosing not to focus on my relapse or the fact that I was only able to stop for a few days. It’s happened many times before and it will surely happen again. After all, picking is a compulsion, and usually not a conscious choice. In addition to my other “stop picking” behaviors mentioned in my last post , here’s what I’ve been doing since my little revelation: Stopped keeping a tally of “days without picking”I realized I was way too hyper focused on the number of days I could go without picking and it was actually making me think about picking more. If I catch myself picking I stop and move on, I’m basically not making myself feel shame or guilt anymore. This has helped me significantly cut down on picking Started seeing a therapist. I’ve wanted to try therapy for years and finally gathered the courage to do it! My therapist has made it clear that this is a really tough thing to stop but she has been helping me identify why I pick which is something I had never given any thought to. This is helping me to try to find what helps me not pick and behaviors I can do when I feel that “urge”. Even if this doesn’t help me stop picking, it’s been so beneficial to my mental health already. Changed my thinking I’ve been reminding myself that picking is like hitting the “un-do” button on my routine that I’ve worked really hard to develope. My active acne is staying away and the urge to pick lessens significantly when I don’t have any scabs or spots to pick at. Some other things that have really been helping with my skin: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream *HG🙌🏼 HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm -this stuff seems to heal spots I pick at in hours! I put it on immediately after picking and before bed. Seriously helps cut down on scabs to pick at. I’ve also started to eat more anti-inflammatory food (currently obsessing over blueberries). It may or may not be a placebo effect but I swear my skin has been way less inflamed! First picture is when I “gave up”and second picture is my skin today. I still have a ways to go but I feel like I’m finally making progress.

Current night routine 🌙
I wanted to share my current night routine for my skin, starting with when I shower, because it's really been working for me: 1. In the shower, I use a half pump of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser to tighten pores, get rid of any gunk on my face, and to brighten. 2. After I'm done showering, my blood pressure tends to go up because of circulation improving, so I get in my pajamas and apply Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum to calm any redness. Then I brush my teeth. 3. Next, I spray a little bit of Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray all over and roll my face using my SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Roller 4. I roll my face using the wide end, starting with my left cheekbone and go to the jawline while going in lines/diagonals on my cheeks. Then I do my forehead by going horizontally - the top first and moving down, focusing on my brow bones (bc of sinuses, same with cheekbones and undereyes), next is the right cheek same as the left, then chin, sides of nose & undereyes w/ small end, and I finish by going in lines like a fern - but the branches/stems, not the little leaves. starting in one spot, going out, and coming back but going to different spots each time until I get that area covered - I make 5 lines on both cheeks and forehead using this method. It's difficult to describe tbh - center between my eyes / middle of brow, for cheeks its by my ear opening) 5. After my face is all cooled off, I put on a dime-sized amount of either Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream or Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream and lather it all over onto my face and neck. 6. Don't forget your lips! I use either my birthday, coconut, or my recent fave - the fig Glossier. - Balm Dotcom 7. The last step is to spray some more of my Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray but I also have two other sprays - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandhaand TATCHA - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Thx for reading ! 😊

Updated Night Routine!
I had a lot of empties in January, so here is my updated night routine! I have a post detailing actives that I use and my schedule around those actives, so they won’t be included in this post. My first step is my double-cleansing step, I use the Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser (📍)to remove SPF and makeup, which I really love, it’s very unique, but it doesn’t break me out at all. Then I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser (📍) to cleanse a second time, I really enjoy this too, my skin tends to freak out when it comes to Laneige’s fragrance, but this is fragrance-free!! After cleansing I steam my face with the Dr Dennis Gross - Pro Facial Steamer which I feel like has really helped the hydration levels of my skin. After that I’ll apply the TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener (📍)which I also like, but I’m not sure how much it’s really done for my skin for what it’s worth. I’ll steam again, for about 30 seconds and then go into my PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum which is the only serum that can truly repair my moisture barrier when I’m breaking out. Then my eye product is The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (📍)which I’ve been loving a lot too! My current winter moisturizer is the Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream which again, I like, but it feels like it puts a barrier on my skin, which kind of felt weird to begin with. After moisturizer, my last two steps are to treat any breakouts or spots with the Murad - Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment and use something to lock it all in like the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil it does the job, but smells super weird. The only way I’ve been able to describe it is, picture the olive bar at a local grocery store, and the smell that comes from that. Not super pleasant, but it’s okay. 📍= product was sent to me for free

My skincare (normal to oily sensitive skin)
My current routine! I have ups & downs & some I want to improve but this is what it’s currently at! Not pictured: TATCHA - Calming Foaming Enzyme Powder Absolutely love! Was going back & forth between this version & the one for oily skin but this one is juuuuuust right for my picky skin!! Pictured: (in order of use) TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener Omg-it’s a game changer! This stuff may just look like fancy water (lol who am I kidding-I use evian - Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray so yeah-THATS fancy water but I love it! lol) but this stuff is 100% the real deal! I’ve noticed that products glide one & I don’t have as much of the shiny effect after putting on my skincare routine! Yay! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex Firming Eye Serum Ok so warning on this one-you’ll never use a full pump unless you share with 2 other people at the same time-this pump is stupid-I hate it but the product so far has done a good job & hasn’t made me run to go find a new one right away-could it be improved...? Yeah-but it’s a good option for me for now 😊 also-I don’t like using this by itself cuz it’s drying... so for a fix to that I added.... DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream One again-you don’t need a full pump unless you’re sharing-no one has that much surface area to cover with this...ugh. This is the step that was missing when I just was using the firming serum-this is hydrating & goes after because it’s thicker. The combo works for me. Would I rather have 1 product? Yes. Would I rather have a better pump that doesn’t portion out share sizes of product? Yes.... am I rushing to Sephora to find a new one? Ha! No.... Curology - Curology formula My 2 cents on those people who hate this? It’s not for you & that’s ok! But dang does this work for me!! It’s a must have!! Love it!! -or- never and DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum I haven’t used this enough to rate but this is supposedly suppose to help with dark spots & pores? We shall see tester size...we shall see... TATCHA - The Water Cream Omg moisture heaven! Smells like a spa, glides on like a dream AND has gold in it? Sign me up! This stuff is amazing-I love it & it does wonders for me! Add ons! TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK Not in love-good for dry spots or singular areas every once in a while but meh-not worth it & not a fave of mine. TATCHA - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Also-not in love. Is it nice when I’m dried out? Yeah! Does it last? Nooooot really? Meh-I have it I’ll use it & I won’t buy again... TATCHA - Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 PA+++ Meh-this is just....meh. Again will use it up & not rebuy....

🌙 For combo/dry skin 🌙 Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser: $38 a cream cleanser containing goat milk and manuka honey...also my favorite cleanser of all time. This is so gentle and pleasant to use...great for dry or sensitive skin. 🌙 CosRX Propolis Synergy Toner: $23 a toner containing 72.5% propolis and 10% honey...this is so so for me. I typically really like honey for giving my skin hydration and glow but this one just doesn’t do a lot for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🌙 Drunk Elephant A Passioni Retinol Cream $74 and B Hydra $48...I like to mix these two together to improve the texture of and buffer the retinol. A Passioni is a 1% retinol so it’s pretty strong but the B Hydra contains ceramides and provitamin B5 to help hydrate the skin and minimize the drying effects of the retinol. 🌙 Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer $38 is a rich cream moisturizer containing antioxidant rich fig milk, soothing oat milk, and a plethora of antioxidant rich oils. This stuff sinks into the skin quickly but leaves the skin feeling incredibly hydrated and soft.

Pretty in Pink 💖
Pretty in Pink 💖
A roundup review of some pink products I’ve been using! ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream This SPF moisturizer boasts niacinamide and blue tansy to sooth and even skin out in addition to being a moisturizing mineral SPF. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of moisturizing SPFs in the first place but this one looked nice to me. It’s got a thin consistency coming out the tube but as you spread it on it’s pretty thick and heavy feeling. In about the middle of the ingredients list is coconut oil, a very occlusive and comedogenic oil, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is oily or acne prone, but it hasn’t broken me out at least. It’s not my favorite SPF I’ve ever used, but if my skin is super dry or sensitive I’ll use this over my others. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I love this cleanser! I use it twice a week for some nice exfoliation. I’ve always preferred physical exfoliation over chemical (I know I’m in the minority here) and this one is super gentle! The sugar granules are small and dissolve pretty quickly, and the cleanser itself is a non-foaming jelly, plus it smells like a delicious strawberry smoothie. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all after using it. I will definitely be purchasing the full size when I finish this! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry This is the serum that changed my opinion about serums! I used to avoid them because I hated the sticky feeling they would leave on my skin, but my skin had been lackluster and I wanted to add a vitamin C to my routine. This serum is amazing y’all! It’s only 15% vitamin C derived from cherries, so it’s gentle and natural, plus it has 4 different derivatives of hyaluronic acid. It just smooths over my skin like butter, I love it, I use it as needed for extra hydration or if I just wanna feel extra glowy, plus it smells so good and sweet! I’m glad I took this plunge, I highly recommend it! ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay I’ve only used this mask twice but so far it’s been really nice. I am a masker, always have been, and while clay masks aren’t really my go-to since I have dry skin, I’m glad I have just this one. It really tightens up my pores and my skin just feels sooo smooth after. It is a bit drying after washing it off but after serum and moisturizer it’s not an issue, and when I wake up my skin feels smooth and clear. Overall i think it does what it claims to do very well!

Honey-lious Routine 🍯
Honey-lious Routine 🍯
You know I love my Farmacy Beauty products & right here is a fabulous routine! Full of honey goodness 🍯 I start off with FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm (not sure why I didn’t picture it first) to remove all makeup, sunscreen and dirt & debris. I love how gentle and effective this is! I can see my makeup washing down the drain as I go to rinse my face. It’s so easy! Next up is FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser this washes away anything I may have missed with that first cleanse and rebalances my pH level for the next steps. This one is perfect for everyone! It’s got a natural honey scent that I am not a big fan of but I can easily get past that because of the amazing benefits! FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask I love to mask as often as I can. I find when I consistently use masks in my routine my skin responds much more favorably. I love exfoliating and brightening masks. This one does both! It’s a clay mask but doesn’t dry my skin out. Love the brightening effects of this one! FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum once I’ve removed the mask it’s time for my targeted skincare treatment and Honeymoon Glow is my absolute go-to! This has been my lifesaver. The results speak for themselves. I have a timeline photo on my page showing how well this beauty works (before/after). Some have a tingling sensation when applying. It’s never been a bother for me and I do have sensitive skin. So be aware this can happen. A finally FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer Between Honey Drop and Better Daze Ahead, I could survive off Farmacy’s moisturizers! Honey Drop is very lightweight so if you have super dry skin this one might not work for you. Better Daze Ahead is my go-to when my skin is acting up and needs extra moisturizing. They have a new one as well, FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya which I’ve heard those with oily skin love. It’s not for me personally. I find it leaves my skin feeling tacky and almost like it has a silicone feel (which it doesn’t have). For some reason my skin doesn’t get along with this one. So there you have it! A simple routine that won’t do you wrong. Of course you can add toners, (I’d do so after cleansing) other serums and essences (after masking) and oils (after moisturizing). This is a routine I often use 💚 hope you enjoy #CherieCreator ❤️ my@cheriefamily 🍒😘 My apologies for the terrible lighting! I’ve ordered a ring light in hopes for improvement as it’s too damn hot to shoot photos outside 🥵 (averaging 113 temps!) My products can’t be in that heat!

look inside my travel bag! how’d I do?
look inside my travel bag! how’d I do?
let me start by saying I always always always miss my skincare collection when I travel. it is nearly impossible for me to condense everything I’ll want to use in a small, TSA-approved, clear bag! but here was my last attempt: CLIO - Micro-Fessional Cleansing Oil I use this before I double-cleanse because I use waterproof mascara. this cleansing oil was INCREDIBLE. I didn’t even need a cotton round for this, just applied it using my fingers. it got it all off! smells so good, and non irritating at all! not surprised though, korean skincare is where it’s at . FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm I always double cleanse—my favorite first cleanser is this one. it is hands down the best I’ve ever used. you apply it to dry skin, massage it in, and then add water to emulsify. it rinses completely clean, never leaves residue, and get EVERYTHING off DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample this is just aight. idk what to say about it. it does it’s job, but I don’t think the brand, it’s values, or the price tags align with me. not into it. I’m just using this so it ends lol. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner the only reason I didn’t give this 5-stars is because it is kinda anti climatic. it didn’t do anything wrong, but it didn’t wow me. I reserve my 5 stars for things that really impress me! CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence I love caudalie, but same. this feels, looks, and smells like water. meh. Embryolisse - Lait Crème Concentré I LOVE this stuff. I’ve used it as a mask, a moisturizer, and as a primer. perfect for everything. but as a mask it definitely protects and brightens! it also lasts a super long time. love this thing. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Max Sheer All Day Moisture Defense Lotion SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion top 3 favorite sunscreens of all time. perfect finish, no white cast, absorbs quickly, and leaves the most beautiful finish on my skin. I have a couple backups of this! okay—so how’d I do? would you use my skincare if you needed a routine? let me know in the comments!! ♡

FARMACY - Better Daze Ahead CBD Moisturizer To the rescue! I was so very fortunate to pick two bottles up with they were being offered through BoxyCharms “PopUp” I received two for the price of one! And let me tell you this cream is the BOMB! This leaves my face feeling calm and cool, especially coming straight from my skincare fridge. The best sensation! What is sit? Restorative cushion cream with full-spectrum CBD hemp oil + adaptogens. A silky-soft and restorative moisturizer infused with non-psychoactive, hemp-derived CBD oil (50 mg) + adaptogens to help balance dry, distressed skin. Non-comedogenic formula. Rich hydration water 💦 Calming CBD oil 🍃 Stress-fighting adaptogens 🌿 🍄 Peace of mind 😇 Better Daze Ahead (BDA) can be used as an every day moisturizer or just a nighttime one. It can be a bit rich but I found for my skin (normal to dry) it absorbs so well. And a small amount covers so well. I also appreciate that their is no scent. If my face starts to feel a bit out of wack, maybe getting a bit drier, or I have a few breakouts, I immediately reach for BDH. It gets my face back into working order overnight! I also like to use it occasionally on nights when using my retinal. It offers that added comfort of moisturization while vitamin A gets to work. I haven’t experienced any flaking or peeling skin and just a few random breakouts. Price: $68 for 1.7 oz (50mg CBC) but you can always find an affiliate code for 20% off, bringing it down to @ $45. Let me know if you need the code. Also ordering directly form Farmacy Beauty allows you to create an account and Earn Points which allows you take $10, $20, $30 and more off future purchases.
