Never sticky gloss 🍬
SKIN TYPE: acne prone, combination, dehydrated PRODUCT: Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss I originally purchased Kosas’ Wet Lip Oil Gloss in the shade Dip and loved the ‘my lips but juicier’ look it gave me. The applicator perfectly hugs my lips and spreads the perfect amount of product. With ingredients like hyaluronic acid and peptides, my lips look full and hydrated and are never sticky. Pigment is subtle so anyone looking for a bold gloss will not like this. Since I’ve loved Dip so much, I wanted to try a couple other shades without breaking the bank too much and decided on getting the mini set in Sephora! ✨

Buttery bronzer ☀️
Skin Type: combination, dehydrated, acne prone Product: VESCA - Soft-Matte Bronzing Powder Kissed By Saw this bronzer all over Instagram and I had to pick it up! It’s blends so easily and smoothly, leaving a sun kissed glow on my skin. The effect is subtle but a little goes a long way! Since shelter in place, I’ve been wearing some makeup to restore some sense of normalcy and I find myself reaching for this bronzer constantly. It’s never streaky and doesn’t leave an orange tint to the skin! I have this in shades Rio and Santorini. Have you tried Vesca?

Changing sunscreen? ☀️
SKIN TYPE: combination, acne prone, dehydrated PRODUCT: elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I wonder if any of you have had the same experience as me! I bought this product a few months back since I was looking for a great acne-prone friendly sunscreen. During my first few weeks of using it, I hated it. It left a white cast on my face, the product caught onto dry patches on my skin, and it pilled and disrupted my makeup. Overall, a terrible experience. However, I picked it up again this week to use a sunscreen before my run and it’s like the product magically changed! Though the formula is thick, it absorbed easily into the skin. There is no longer a white cast and it doesn’t bunch or pill on my face. I can’t stop using it and I haven’t broken out. I’m not sure if this will replace my holy grail Asian sunscreens but I’m loving it so far! 😆

Sensitive? Use this body wash!! ✨
SKIN TYPE: combination, acne prone, sensitive PRODUCT: Nécessaire - The Body Wash I teased these body washes in my dry brushing post! When it comes to body care, Necessaire tops the cake! My skin can be pretty sensitive and reactive but Necessaire makes super gentle products that work with your skin and fortify your natural barrier. These body washes come in a fragrance free version as well as in scents eucalyptus, sandalwood, and bergamot, which elevate my shower to a spa like experience! 💕 Made with clean ingredients, sulfate free, and pH balanced, my skin never feels stripped. Like I mentioned earlier, it is super gentle so if you’re looking for a SQUEAKY clean cleanse, you’re not going to get it with these products. But I appreciate how it never exacerbated my sensitive skin or eczema! 💕 They’ve also been pretty transparent with their hiring and sustainability practices. This will definitely be a brand I will continue to support. 💕

FACE OIL THAT MAKES YOU GLOW✨
SKIN TYPE: Acne, sensitive, combination PRODUCT: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil Wow... I cannot express how happy I am to have found a face oil so perfect for my skin. Youth to the People’s Hydrate and Glow face oil leaves my face feeling moisturized and hydrated! The formula absorbs easily into the skin and the finish is just gorgeous, leaving me looking like I’ve been drinking 8 glasses of water a day! The oil has a natural fruity scent to it, like something freshly squeezed, not medicinal or herbal like other face oils. I haven’t broken out while using this and it hasn’t exacerbated my eczema. Love this and will continue to repurchase! 💕

A spot corrector that works!
I’ve tried my fair share of spot treating serums and creams. Whether it’s trying to rid of old acne scars or sun spots; the one challenge I’ve always faced was using a product long enough to see results. I was recently given the opportunity to try the Acaderma - Star Light Spot Corrector Acaderma is a Taiwanese brand which has excellent reviews and is known for creating clean skincare that is backed by science. The Star Light according to Acaderma, uses the ingredient Melamorin which works together with other root extracts in the serum to target dark spots left behind as part of acne scarring. It helps to stop the stimulation of melanocytes from intrinsic factors and works to inhibit melanin synthesis and transfer. . My THOUGHTS: I’ve been using the serum for the past 2 weeks to help rid of some pesky dark spots on my cheek and am gradually noticing a difference! I have combination skin and this lightweight formula is perfect to use after a hydrating serum but before my moisturizer. The first time I used it I noticed the area I applied it to looked a little pink or flushed. The pink went away after a day and now my skin is used to it. This is one of the first times that I can see results with a spot corrector. More than I’ve experienced with vitamin C. I can’t wait to use this longer and hope that my dark spots will eventually disappear!

We often have more than 1 skin concern we would like to treat, I know I do! Theres always a big question “if I use this, can I use this?” Or “can I use this serum together with this serum?” I found this awesome sheet on IG and found it super helpful! J-BEAUTY FAVES: BLACK LIPGLOSS?!
UZ - 38°C/99°F LIP TREATMENT This gloss is unbelievable!!! It looks crazy intimidating in the tube, but when you apply it to the lips, it just adds the most beautiful wash of color that deepens your lips by a shade. There is no fragrance, the shimmer is subtle and flattering and it’s not sticky! This “gloss” is marketed as a lip treatment that’s supposed to replace your lip balm. I wouldn’t go so far to say that it has, but I can definitely feel the difference between this and a gloss that dries out my lips. This shade, -4 (degrees Celsius), is supposed to mimic the shade that your lips natural become when in that temperature. I love the way this gloss looks on my lips and definitely want to pick up more shades- the green looks interesting! 👀
