One of my favorite chemical exfoliators is Krave Beauty’s Kale-Lalu-yAHA. It is a chemical exfoliator with 5.25% glycolic acid derived from sugar cane. It’s goal is to sluff off those dead skin cells for a more even complexion, less fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing the appearance of sun damage. Key ingredients: glycolic acid, kale, spinach parsley, aloe, hyaluronic acid, and allantoin. This is a very gentle exfoliator. I would recommend this for those who haven’t used chemical exfoliators before. I have no stinging upon application and it sinks down quickly which i love due to its thin consistency. The dark leafy greens are antioxidant packed, so you know you are also getting nutrients your skin needs along with the added hydration from hyaluronic acid. I’ve never experienced redness or irritation from this. If i have congestion or active breakouts I swear this product diminishes them by 75% overnight! I love it so much i also use on my arms, back and neck! This really is a perfect product.Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA

Krave Beauty; My Review
Over I wasn’t very impressed. These products are pricey and although I appreciate their mission the products don’t speak for themselves. I tried everything for a little over a month so I could really see how their products work with my skin and over all I didn’t notice much difference besides an increase in acne along my chin line and more texture on my forehead. I did have one day during the month where my skin was flawless and I thought these products were amazing but it quickly faded. Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA I don’t hate this toner. I just did not notice a positive difference in my skin with it. Krave - Great Barrier Relief Good texture, a little oily but that goes away somewhat quickly Krave - The Beet Shield Best sunscreen I’ve tried so far. It does not leave a white cast and does not have a strong scent. It is on the oilier side but my skin tends to be dry so it works well for me. I included a picture of what it looks like on my hand before absorbing for reference. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars is the price for how much you get. It is a small container. I am going to continue to use this sunscreen until I run out and then will be looking for a cheaper option.

Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA Review
It is almost Thanksgiving! YAY! Happy Thanksgiving Eve! 🦃 I want to share about one of my favorite HG toner, @kravebeauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA 🥬! This is my third bottle which says a lot because I have tried many toners since I started getting into skincare. I believe the only toners I have repurchased time and time again is this guy, Thayers, and Missha First Essence Treatment. The Kale-Lalu-yAHA is a 5.25% glycolic acid toner that contains, aloe, kale (of course), spinach, parsley, Panthenol (vit B5), and hyaluronic acid. It is an exfoliating toner that really buffs away the dead skin cells while replenishing the skin many antioxidants from the green veggies that are in there. It also claims to minimize the appearance of discoloration, help with sun damage, and fine lines with regular use. It also says it cleans out the clogged and congested pores. I have oily and sensitive skin and so I tend to use this every other day. I pour some into a cotton round and in the morning, instead of washing my face with a cleanser, I just use this to buff away any dust/oils/dead skin cells. It leaves my face feeling very hydrated, smooth, and soft. All prepped for the rest of my skincare. My face just feels much cleaner and refreshed! I highly recommend this to oily/combo/acne-prone skin because it really does a good job at cleaning out the pores and at buffing away all that gunk which just sits on the skin. 5/5 kales from me! 🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬! A forever repurchase 🙌🏻. One of my favorite products from this brand 💚. Also if you didn’t know they will be having a 15% off this Black Friday weekend. I have already stocked up so I won’t be buying anything but this is a great opportunity if you were curious about this brand. But if you are feeling overwhelmed, I highly recommend you check out their "DO I NEED THIS?" chart on their IG page. #mindfulspending I’m curious to know if this works for those of you with dry skin 🤔. What are your favorites from @kravebeauty? Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA

“Skin resurfacing exfoliator that kicks your dead skin cells to the curb, revealing youthful, healthier skin while also feeding it delicious antioxidants from dark, leafy greens. Kiss good-bye to the appearance of discoloration, sun damage, and fine lines with regular use.” - Krave Beauty 💚 I’m more of a BHA kind of girl but I gave this a try because of Liah Yoo, and of course its green nutritious ingredients that serves as antioxidants and a vital energy booster for the skin. AHA can really prevent your pores from clogging - so if you wish to get rid of some blackheads, go for BHA (because AHA doesn’t penetrate very deep into the skin) but since those aren’t one of my concerns anymore, I thought this product would be perfect. AND IT IS! 💖 KEY INGREDIENTS 💚Glycolic Acid 💚Kale, Spinach, Parsley 💚Aloe + Hyaluronic acid + Vitamin B5 💚Allantoin 〰️ When I first tried this product, I didn’t feel any tingling but after a few tries, I then did. It’s a good sign because it means that it is doing the job. It’s a bit annoying because it’s itchy but I just tap it out and hope it goes away by the time I apply my essences. I use this almost every other day depending on my mood with a cotton pad. This gentle exfoliant contains 5.25% Glycolic Acid which resurfaces the skin’s texture and prevents clogged pores. I just love how it doesn’t dry up my skin and it also has a pH of 4-4.5. It has kept my skin smooth, supple and my pores are still hiding. (Pls don’t ever come out) The packaging is also on point. Haha!
FAB AHA Liquid — Pore Minimizing Serum
Function: This serum is for dull, uneven skin. It’s an acid exfoliator made for all skin types and even good for sensitive skin. It’s supposed to target wrinkles and leave your skin looking smooth and your pores small. Texture: It’s pretty liquidy, but not overly watery — really a perfect consistency since it doesn’t run down your face when you apply it and it absorbs extremely quickly. There’s no residual tackiness after a few minutes and it layers well under other products. Thoughts: This is one of my favorite chemical exfoliants! It goes on so well and feels great. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and definitely noticed that my skin looks brighter. Wrinkles aren’t really my concern, but I’m always looking for a way to clear out and minimize my pores. After using it consistently for weeks, I can see that my pores are visibly smaller and lighter. I’ve had a few bad experiences with acids, but this one is SO gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin in any way. I love that it is great for sensitive skin while also being effective. I recommend this to those with sensitive skin looking to brighten their complexion and clear up enlarged pores! Price: $55

BEST product for pore-minimizing!
Gooooood morning guys! Today I'm talking about my favorite pore-minimizing product in my arsenal: Paual's Choice 10% Niacinimide Booster. Via Paula's Choice (PC's) website, this baby was created to dramatically reduce pore size and uneven skin tone! The target concerns for this product are to diminish the appearance of enlarged pores. The texture of this product is very liquidy and is not thick or serum-like at all! It is very much so like water in texture. My overall experience with this product has been super positive! I've been using it since about July, and prior to using this (and even on days when I haven't used it recently) I honestly felt like my pores could be seen from space! They felt soooo huge and clogged to me. But when I use this niacinimide every day - as the first step in my routine after cleansing- I notice a huge difference in my skin! I love this booster and once it run's out I will most likely repurchase- HOWEVER it does retail for $44 on PC's website- I believe I bought this during a sale or in a kit, and I know of other niacinimide serums that are more on the drugstore end but PC's is the only one I trust, so I think it's worth it to buy once it's on sale (which it is now!). This product did not make me break out or cause any other irritation to my skin which is super important to me because I have acne prone sensitive skin! I really do see results in my skin when I use this consistently, and I can't live without it now.
A potent plumping serum!
With an EWG Skin Deep rating of 5, this K-Beauty serum from Sulwhasoo is one of my favorite skincare treats. Due to its price, I try to limit my use of this because it’s so good and it’s highly unlikely that I would fork up the $84 to purchase this gem. I have combination, acne-prone skin which tends to be super dry in the winter and an oil slick in warmer months. My skin hates fragrance, but Sulwhasoo keeps theirs to a minimum. This serum is different than others on the market because it’s intended to be the first product used in a routine after cleansing. It prepares the skin for all other products and plumps like no other. The formula is light weight, quickly absorbed, and lightly scented. If you have the coins, I would highly recommended this product.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
