I’ve been using Foreo fofo for a month now and I realised that it makes my life so much easier with the fixed timing for cleanse and personalised strength of cleansing. Afterwards what I have noticed it leaves my skin glowing and properly cleansed. Having chosen a bright colour it also makes it hard to forget to use it. I have started of using it twice daily AM and PM, but with cold weather hitting UK, use of Azelaic Acid and the heating being on all the time I have reduced of using it to once a day. LRP Toleraine been a good choice of a cleanser for using alongside an active based skincare as The Ordinary and Niod. It helped to reduce any possible redness, inflammation and sensitivity.
Pyunkang Yul is a Korean skin care brand that was founded by Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic, which is considered one of the best.Their skincare range includes everything that your skin needs to feel comfortable and to retain a healthy skin barrier starting from cleansers to rich burnishing creams. 🌲using less ingredients and only the once that are needed (no alcohol, fragrance etc.) 🌲amazing for sensitive and even rosacea prone skin. 🌲their basic line divides into Temperature Up and Down line (increasing or decreasing skin temperature , to make the most for your skin) 🌲astragalus root extract (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial, not counting the vitamins it’s full of) 🌲japonica root extract(used in oriental medicine) Foam Cleanser and an Essence toner both of which are amazing. The cleanser cleanses the skin without stripping your moisture barrier but in the same time powerful enough to remove impurities and leaves skin very nice and soft. The famous Essence toner 💜is amazing as a one layer and even better than when you are doing 7 skins layering. It does not contain water or alcohol and is based on Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract. It makes skin feels comfortable on skin and overtime helps to even the skin tone and texture. Really want to try their hydrating cream and moisture serum.
Facial oils. Facials oils play an important role art of a skincare regimen. They should not be scared of, as choosing the right oil for your skin can bring only benefits. There are many myths such as they clog you pores etc, therefore it’s crucial to choose the right one for your skin type. There non comedogenical ones. I personally I use Borage and Rose Hip oils, also considering to try Marula oil. But I more than happy with those two from The Ordinary. 🌲Borage oil- it has a very thick a luxurious texture, it helped to clear up redness (not permanently), smooth skin and it also has anti bacterial properties. I prefer to use it during the day. It has needed gamma linolenic acids, stearic and palmitic acids. As going foundation free it helps with evening of the skin tone and keeping my skin calm. 🌲Rose Hip oil - it has a more lightweight texture than the Borage oil. It has a nice light orange colour which bring out the glow to the skin. It contains linoleic, linolenic and vitamin A. This oil helps to promote cell regeneration, which leads to anti aging properties, healing of scars, acne etc. I usually use it in the night to reduce sun damage during the day time. However, there are some contradictions in science, tho it makes you feel moistured as well as sealing in the hydration properties of other products, it’s unable to cover skin 100% as it dissolves into micro oil drops thus providing a semi covered space. But it feels very nice and calming on the skin. Those with oilier skin types would benefit from non comedonogenical oils, the loss of those could be found on google.
The Ordinary-100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
Empty-Vic C product for sensitive skin
Vit C and skin 🍊Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% (empty) Products containing vit C in skincare claim to improve uneven skin tone, brighten skin, improve collagen production and reduce hyper-pigmentation. So overall it acts like a good anti-aging and brightening ingredient. However to vit C to work on the cell level it needs to be stabilised properly, to improve product potency and reduce oxidation ( product not working which is nearly unavoidable with vit C or ending with orange skin tone is not a joke🍊🍊🍊( well at least for me). The Ordinary has a range of Vit C products available to cater to different skin types and user experience. The one that I have started with is Ascobyl Glucoside Solution 12% which is stabilised vit c derivative. It suitable for sensitive skin including all skin types, it’s water based so easily placed in the routine, doesn’t conflict with any other ingredients. 🍊evened skin tone a bit 🍊reduces pigmentation just a tiny bit 🍊works really slowly as it’s a derivative 🍊suitable for sensitive skin 🍊a very elegant serum with a beautiful feel I loved it but as I want something stronger the next one will be the Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% which is closer to LAA but still good for sensitive skin.
The Ordinary-Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%, 30ml A simple backdrop for a magnificent Acid. I can definitely say that it’s my Holy Grail product of this year. This is my third tube and I think it deserves a good intro. I used it as my last step in my evening routine. It’s a lightweight silicon based cream gel like substance and when applied quickly absorbed and leaves skin matte and powdery soft. It’s great for all skin types but especially for sensitive combination skin types. The small tube would last you probably a month and a half if used once daily. Azelaic Acid (dicarboxylic acid)can be found in grains and is being produced naturally by yeast that lives on normal skin. It also important to not that it also acts as an antioxidant which is a nice benefit on top. It also has anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It targets: 🌾 rosacea 🌾closed camedones, blackheads and whiteheads, hormonal break outs 🌾uneven skin tone 🌾hyper pigmentation I would not use other acids in the same routine as this one is enough and you don’t want to overwhelm your skin. Also it should not be used with high concentrations of Vitamin C and Peptides. What I have noticed was reduction of blackheads, closed comedones and redness. It doesn’t give you a glow but who needs that at night😂 when you can wake up to clear face. However, I did notice the events of the skin tone, it also can be because of Vitamin C in my morning routine.
The Ordinary-Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
Modulating Glucosides by Niod (Deciem) It’s a serum with thick cream consistency of baby yellow colour. It’s a cocktail of numerous ingredients to target sensitivity and inflammation. What is it for: 🐣calming sensitive skin 🐣reduce inflammation 🐣reduce itching and peeling 🐣restore skin 🐣reducing stinging feeling 🐣reducing redness Overall it’s a great product that calms skin within like 8 minutes. Reducing the feeling of stressed irritated skin. I can’t use it more than once in two days as it can break my skin out, but I still love it and enjoying it. Also your skin will feel more hydrated, balanced and moistured. In a long run I don’t think it had influence on my rosacea or flushing, as Azelaic Acid helps a lot more with this. This is great of your skin is easily irritated by acids, as this serum would go before anything else. The key ingredients that I think make it work is Bisabol, Glucosides, amino Acids, Tetrasodium Tetracarboxymethyl Naringeninchalcone,Superoxide Dismutase (which you can get as Mist from Niod) and others. All of them have great properties and are useful for people with sensitive skin.
