Rice Toner

I’ve used these products consistently over the period of a couple months (not necessarily in combination with each other). I haven’t noticed a difference and realize I don’t particularly love the feel of serums and oils. Here’s my review of each product individually and one ordinary product that I do feel like makes a difference. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I was super excited to try and love this product and was mainly wanting help with blackheads on my nose. I haven’t noticed a difference even when using the product twice a day for a couple months. The product is very oily and it’s easy to get all over the bottle. Not a toner that can be used without a cotton pad The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I don’t love the textures of these products and am disappointed not seeing a difference after using consistently and over half the bottle is gone. dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop This product is very oily. I want to include vitamin C in my skincare routine but just didn’t enjoy this particular one. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream I love all of elf’s products and bought this thinking I would love it. It leaves a white cast and I don’t like the feel when I put this moisturizer on, because of this I have been using it just at night I order to not waste the product. Elf has much better products than this one for sure! One product I do like: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I’ve started using this once a week and believe it is helping with my blackheads. It is drying and I have sensitive skin so if you’re like me I would suggest only once a week for 8 min and consider a hydrating mask afterwards.

The new cleansing oil, I recently opened it and so far it’s really gentle. It’s lightweight, it contains ingredients like sunflower oil, grape seed oil, black currant oil, and jojoba seed oil. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing and it removes makeup and any impurities. Have you tried this brand and do you like it? Comment below.

As you gently massage the balm onto your skin it melts into a milky clear oil that works into the skin smoothly with no clumping or grains. You can massage pressure points on your face for effective lymphatic drainage. Even comes with a little scoop! ⭐️ For a quick and brightening at-home facial 💆🏽‍♀️ massaging gently for 15 minutes focusing on different sections of your face. The sebum plugs and blackheads around my nose and cheeks literally fall out and it’s so satisfying, but kind of gross 😅 - Check out L.A. Beautyologist on YouTube for her Deep Oil Cleansing Routine 🖤 - Sherbert-like cleanser is infused with vitamin C 🍊and A-rich acerola extract, papaya extract, rooibos leaf extract, and bamboo extract - Formulated without: • Parabens • Sulfates • Phthalates • Mineral oil • Alcohol • Artificial coloring 🤍 As someone with very oily skin shouldn’t I stay away from “oil based cleansers” - a common misconception, but water is effective to remove excess face oils because water and oil molecules naturally repel one another. So in order for typical water-based cleansers 💦 to remove naturally occurring facial oils, water-based products often have surfactants that may be harsh and stripping for many sensitive-faced folks like myself :) - The Tea 💅🏼 Many companies capitalize on our lack of knowledge surround oil-based cleansing and market products as “oil-free” making us think they will work better for our oily skin. This marketing, just perpetuates the idea that oil is bad for your skin, when we should be seeking to nourish our skin, not strip it. 🤍 What if I have combination/dry skin, I don’t want to get rid of whatever moisture I have? - Luckily, many oil cleansers are very moisturizing and help reinforce our natural skin barrier, as most oil-cleansers are not made to be stripping. Korean skin care is traditionally centered around the idea of hydrating, calming, and nourishing. They incorporate natural and unique ingredients like Cica, Snail Mucin, and Green tea 🍵. I really love masks, they are my favourite part of my routine which is why I have soooo many.... the other reason is I have dry but acne prone skin so I like to chose a mask based of my skins current condition. VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK I love this mask it is turmeric and Kaolin clay so it brightens my skin but it never dries my skin out. VERSED - FIND CLARITY Purifying Mask this is bentonite clay so I use it when my skin is breaking out, it can dry out my skin. #Versed - Look alive hydrating plumping mask[products]#[FourStars] this is a very hydrating mask that is great if kept cold. COSRX - Ultimate Moisturizing Honey, Overnight Mask I love honey for my skin, it hydrates and creates a barrier over your skin so you don’t lose any moisture. COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask I love this cream mask overnight to nourish and brighten my skin. I'm from - Honey Mask this is a lush honey mask that super charges hydration. THE BODY SHOP - British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask this is a spa like hydrating mask that is great cold. THE BODY SHOP - Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask I love this as the rice is brightening and nourishing and the ginseng is anti-aging. THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask this is a clay and tea tree mask that is a powerhouse. I use this when I have a breakout and it immediate reduces the redness and the next morning my breakout is diminished. Aveeno - Positively Radiant, MaxGlow No-Mess Sleep Mask this is a good drug store sleeping mask that creates a barrier to ensure no lose of moisture. LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask this is a light sleeping mask that is a gel. VERSED - Doctor's Visit I love this exfoliating mask that includes AHAs, bhas and enzymes to resurface the skin. Aveeno - Glow Oat Mask With Pomegranate Seed Extract my skin loves oats as they are very soothing and pomegranate is a good antioxidant. 👜 Mearosa - collagen essence facial sheet masks | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love sheet masks as they are such a spa experience, I love using these cold and then relaxing for 20mins

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides

💫EGF - Epidermal Growth Factor💫 Save this if aging/dehydrated skin is your concern 👇 Our skin changes as we age⏳.. It becomes thinner, its cellular renewal process slows down and can’t hold moisture as effectively. EGF 〰️ a protein that stimulates cell growth and has wound healing properties. However, if you have concerns, stick to daily SPF + a good retinoid product and the pair works just fine in anti-aging. My suggestion is always read up legit sources before committing on any product. This power ingredient is one to look out for in your skincare. Products with EGF worth a try. dear, klairs - Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop I have been wanting to try this for the longest time. I received the product and immediately using it.. I was sold by the ingredients.. and the colour! Com'on!! Such nice blue... I have been concentrating on dealing with acne issues, that I have neglected anti aging products. I was so excited to try this out and bought 2 bottles straightaway! Only been using this for 2 weeks and I can feel my skin soft and supple. The consistency is just watery, non sticky nor greasy. very pleasant toner like serum. It's meant to lighten your redness and i did see my redness go down. it's really a calming serum. I will persist in the usage so as to see long term results..

This actually gave me instant results by the second day and I love it! The formula is super light weight, non-sticky and absorbs quick. For #fridayfavorites I want to highlight a #cultfavorite COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser After hearing so many good things about this cleanser I had to try it. I ordered it from Stylevana and was happy that the order arrived in a week! For 11 CAD I think it’s value for money considering how good this cleanser is. It’s very gentle on my skin and I tend to use this cleanser more often than others. It has a gel like consistency and is not too foamy and a little goes a long way. It washes away impurities without stripping my skin. It has a low PH which is said to be effective in protecting our skin’s acid mantle. #acidmantle protects the skin from harmful bacteria that can cause acne and other skin problems. Low ph cleansers are also good for people with eczema and dryness. FUN FACT: did you know this product was crowd sourced!! Customers gave feedback to @cosrx asking for a low ph cleanser and they delivered! Did you know this toner is made with 77.78% rice extract? PRODUCT: @imfrom_global Rice Toner is a dual layer toner consisting of a water layer and emulsion layer. This toner is meant to prevent water loss, eliminate dead skin cells and provide hydration to rebalance skin. MY THOUGHTS: I’ve been using this toner on and off for a few months and I find myself reaching for it every time my skin feels dry and/or dull. It has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly and feels really soft and smooth upon application. I have noticed some brightening effects but not much. This toner is amazing for dry, sensitive skin. It has this fresh, cooling feeling I love! Definitely recommend SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰This product is vegan and cruelty-free

I have oil/combo skin and been struggling with hormonal acne for a few years now which is mainly around my chin. I have noticed some positive changes but also some negative ones, for example I have more blackheads in areas besides my nose which I never had before. Here are the products I've been using lately. AM Routine I don't cleanse in the morning just splash water on my face and pat dry, then I apply PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster after I apply moisturizer e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free then sunscreen Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract PM Routine During the day I don't wear much makeup just some mascara so I just use GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water for my first cleanse, then I go in with PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore Normalizing Cleanser which I am just about out of so I will be using CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanserwhich I haven't tried before but decided to buy it because of all the hype! Than I apply my toner and depending on my skin at the time I will either use PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner or I'm from - Rice Toner I have just recently purchased and starting using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% then I moisturizer with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator twice a weeks and PAULA'S CHOICE - 1% Retinol Treatment with Peptides + Vitamin C 3 times a week. My skin is still breaking out so I'm gonna try eliminating certain products to see if I can pin point what is causing the breakouts and blackheads. I recently purchased a cleansing brush and I'm gonna start by eliminating the Paulas choice BHA Exfoliator and start using the brush 2 or 3 times a week instead. If that's not the problem then I'm gonna try taking out the Vitamin C. If anyone has any advice or tips I am all ears!!!

Hi everyone!!! I wanted to round up a few products that I’ve used and emptied (or nearly emptied) in the past few months and share a few thoughts and what I’ve replaced them with 👀. All these products got the BOOT from my skincare routine - not bc they sucked but bc I’ve want to try something new and see what all the rage is about in these products I’ve picked up! Toner So I recently learned from@skindocminaand@Culskinthat toner isn’t necessary 😂 but I’ve seen really great things about the Neogen real ferment essence. My favorite k-beauty bloggers mentioned it and so I wanted to try. So far, I really love the texture of the toner because it’s not extremely watery where it slips right off, but it’s got a littttle bit of density to it. The indie Lee toner is alright, no complaints! Really love the spritzer bottle but the product itself is average IMO! Moisturizer ive been really on the hunt for a nice, rich moisturizer for the winter months. This indie Lee moisturizer was just alright for me. It has a little bit of a pepperminty smell but it doesn’t really run into the skin quite well. It leaves a white cast if it’s not worked into the skin. I’ve seen so many rave reviews of this moisturizer from the likes of Hyram and others, so I had to try! I haven’t opened yet but will let you know 😀 Sunscreen Sunscreen is CRUCIAL everyday, every season. I’ve used up my Supergoop completely and though it feels nice on the skin, I almost feel paranoid that it’s clogging my pores since it acts like a primer as well. Because I’m not wearing makeup these days, I want a more light, breathable sunscreen. I’ve heard this Klairs one is amazing, so I had to try! Have you tried any of these? How did you like them??

As a D3 student-athlete (any fellow lax players on here??), weightlifting and working out is a huge part of my life, and since delving more into skincare, I’ve realized how important post-workout skincare is. Since we are in quarantine, I work out at home, but during normal times, I’d be in a gym with lots of other people’s sweat and germs all around me, and that’s just not fun for skin! A lot of the time I’ll have to wake up at 5:30am to do a morning lift, and often I’ll have to do a practice in the afternoon, and I’ve found that this routine works for any time of the day if I don’t have time to do a full wash-up right after. So here’s what I do to take care of my skin after a workout—whether that be at home, at a gym, or on the field! I typically start off by splashing my face with water and use a clean washcloth to gently tap my face dry. I wet the washcloth and wipe the sweat from my chest and back. Then, I go in with my GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water to clean off that sweat and dirt. Next, I use #BOBBI BROWN - Face Mist[products]#[FiveStars] to calm and hydrate. I’m running out of this face mist so I might consider making my own face mist or buy the J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray because I’ve heard good things about it. Finally, I seal in the moisture with The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil . If the sun is still out, I will layer on a sunscreen because that is literally the most important step! I love dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ , although with the Purito controversy, there is concern that it’s not as protective as they claim. Another sunscreen that’s ok to use is Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . If I feel I need it, I might use some PANTENE - Never Tell Dry Shampoo to just freshen up my hair a bit. This routine just ties me over until I can take my nightly shower and do my nightly routine. It certainly leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the ready of the day, especially after exhausting workouts!
