🎪DRUNK ELEPHANT - The Trunk 4.0
This kit comes fully stocked with everything you need for a truly complete skincare routine & a swift getaway! 🛩☁️ I wouldn’t travel right now, even if you paid me. Covid numbers aren’t going down & I take these facts very seriously. Haven’t had contact with almost anyone since March, because I do have a neurological disease that could put me at risk. I can’t tell anyone what to do... but do I urge you to consciously protect strangers while protecting yourself & your loved ones. My condition is one often referred to as an “Invisible Illness”. Many people have health conditions that others don’t outrightly see. Most people think I’m completely able-bodied unless I’m seen limping or having convulsions. I’ve only had this condition since 2014, so it’s been an adjustment & learning experience for my own prejudgements as well. 🧳My bf really likes the Monos locking suitcase & encouraged me to purchase this while the big Sephora sale was going on. He has to travel for his essential-work sometimes & this is a perfect carry-on size! It’s just as wide & deep as the ‘Monos Carry-On’ ($293) & only 4” shorter. specs: 18” high x 14” wide x 9” deep. Monos describes their Carry-On as: Designed to comply with the size restrictions of as many airlines as possible, & fits in the overhead bin of nearly any flight. So I think this slightly shorter rolling suitcase would 99% likely be accepted as a carry-on. 💚Really impressed with the quality! Its lightweight but well structured, great features/compartments + an antibacterial laundry bag. I’m totally new to Drunk Elephant, but I wanted to try their L-Ascorbic Acid serum, Glycolic Acid serum & the Babyfacial🍼🐘 I also want to start using a gentle retinol. Those 4 products alone would have been $324! With my Rouge discount: $360! Regular price is $450- You get 10 full size products, 3 minis +5 sample packets. 18 different things to try! ➖Which would you like me to review first?➖ 🐘I want to trial everything before I review! Here’s everything w/sizes & individual cost: #Drunk Elephant - Beste no.9 Jelly Cleanser[products]#$32/5 oz DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum$90/1 oz DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Am I Using This Wrong?! ‼️🚨
On my acne journey I decided to try out the A-Passioni retinol cream since so many people on here said it worked wonders for their acne and other skin problems. I started to incorporate it in my routine once a week, twice a week, working up to every other night. My skin got significantly worse! After researching that there was a purge period with most retinol I kept at it to try and see results. Only when I actually stopped using it my routine did my skin clear up again. I was using this for a few months and still have plenty of product left. Any advice on re-incorporating it or using it in a different way? Will I be repurchasing - Only if I can figure out how to make this work for my skin. *Disclaimer - I do not support Drunk Elephant in the ways they treat not only their staff, but also their customers.*

Why does everyone hate on these products? 💙😥
Now I have been sampling different vitamin C serums for a while, and I have been loving the C Firma from Drunk Elephant! Now I will admit the smell is a little off putting and it is sticky (what serum isn’t though?!) but wow my skin has never been brighter! I personally use this in combination with the B Hydra to make it less sticky and add some extra hydration. As someone with dry skin, I love this combo! I also think you get more out of the product. Will I be repurchasing - Both, yes. I like how they work together and I am seeing great results. I would never recommend these products on their own, but as a combo I would. This being said, please share your vitamin C recommendations below as I am considering changing due to the stickiness and smell. *Disclaimer - I do not support Drunk Elephant in the ways they treat not only their staff, but also their customers.*

Does hyped means good?
“Instagram Faves” I am sure I am not the only one who sometimes end up buying few products because of the hype about them on IG even tho we may not have bought them otherwise. Guilty? I know. @purito Centella sunscreen ☘️ SPF 50+ PA++++ ☘️ Contains Centella - Helps in calming the irritated skin ☘️ Good for all skin types ☘️ No Fragrance ☘️ No white Cast ☘️ Moisturizing- may be too thick for oily skin types if used over moisturizers. Can be used in place of moisturizer as well Price - $20CAD for 60ml My Experience:- > Amazing product at great price value > Moisturizing - Great for winters > Can be too thick sometimes if you are using many layers of other products underneath > Do not prefer this for hot summer days - make me sweat a lot ?? Anyone? Would I repurchase? No. I prefer my elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 sunscreen over this. I like this too but the reason it make me sweat a lot is annoying and I don’t like that. @drunkelephant C-Firma Vitamin C serum 🍊Contains L-ascorbic acid (purest form of Vit C) 🍊Helps brightening and fading dark spots 🍊 Helps fading post acne marks 🍊 Contains Antioxidants such as Ferulic acid 🍊 Fragrance free and essential oils free Price :- $115CAD for 30ml My Experience:- > I saw results after using it consistently for 2 months > Helped in fading my post acne scars > it does oxidize quickly, needs to be refrigerated > One bottle lasted me long time over 4 months > It does have tacky feeling to it, but I used it over my hyaluronic acid serum that helped to lessen the tackiness. Would I repurchase? It is an expensive product but I do see the results after using it consistently. I would consider repurchasing in future. (On sale🙃)

I’d rather get coal than...
So I became really into skincare earlier this year and one of the first brands I became really interested in was Drunk Elephant. I had already tried the Protini and thought it was pretty good, so I decided to try the C-Tango eye cream. Bad decision. Ive been using this cream everyday for about 6 months now and I have not seen an improvement at all. My fine lines have barely diminished and I’m pretty sure my dark circles have gotten worse. On top of that, every time I apply it, even when it’s just a dot, it BURNS. Seriously, I know that the skin around your eyes is more fragile compared to the rest of the skin on your face, but I’ve still never considered my skin to be sensitive. But applying this product always burns my skins. I usually have to apply a CBD serum directly after to calm down my skin. DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream This thing was f***king expensive so I plan on finishing the bottle. But as soon as I’m done I’m switching back to perricone MD cold plasma eye cream ( a holy grail y’all).

Skincare Trends - Antipollution Skincare
I have sensitive, normal-dry skin and always look for products that will hydrate, soothe, and protect my skin. Recently, “Antipollution Skincare” has got more and more traction in the beauty world so I’m going to tell you a little bit about this trend and some of the products I’ve tried that are marketed to help protect against pollution and environmental stressors. Pollution and it’s effects on our skin and overall health have long been studied and have been shown to cause inflammation, premature aging, clogged pores, dullness, and discolouration. 1. COVER FX - Water Cloud Primer ($50 CAN) - A skin defense complex helps defend against blue light emissions + urban pollutants including heavy metals and free radicals. This primer feels lightweight and hydrating on the skin and wears well under makeup. 2. DRUNK ELEPHANT - D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops ($48 CAN) - Like sunshine in a bottle without the damaging effects; replenishes the delicate balance that supports a healthy barrier function and boosts skin’s defenses against pollution and environmental stressors. I truly love this product, it gives you a glow and can even be worn by super fair skin tones (like me). 3. SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 ($48 CAN) Provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB Protection, boosts radiance for a more even, luminous complexion, and helps boost skin’s natural defenses to environmental stress. This SPF is my favourite of all time, it’s not greasy and gives the most beautiful glow - it’s amazing! 4. #Institut Esthederm - InCellium City Spray[products]#[FiveStars] ($39 CAN) - Hydrates and strengthens the skin’s natural defences against environmental aggressors for more youthful-looking skin. This stuff smells amazing, feels amazing, and is overall so nice. It is a super fine mist and feels so extremely refreshing on the skin - I love it! #CheriePartner

Dry Skin Savior 💦
It’s 𝒻𝓇𝒾𝓎𝒶𝓎𝒻𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓈 & the first day of snowfall here in Massachusetts ❄️ I am so glad that I have two backups of F-Balm on hand because this product is a skin savior once the cold air settles in & keeps having dry skin at bay. Formulated with a four electrolyte blend - coconut water, sodium PCA, magnesium PCA & prickly pear extract - this hydrating & cooling overnight mask is perfect for hydrating the skin, giving a more plump & youthful appearance & supports the skin’s acid mantle by protecting the skin from environmental dehydration. Other beneficial ingredients found in this product are Vitamin F & one of my personal favorites - niacinamide. The Vitamin F is what helps maintain your skin’s hydration and gives that plump appearance by reducing redness & irritation and improving texture. Niacinamide, which is also known as Vitamin B3, is what promotes that overall youthful appearance by reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. 💙 Make no mistake - this product is not to be used as a replacement for your usual nighttime routine, but rather as a bonus or last step to your routine. I personally like to apply my nighttime routine products, let it sit on the skin for about a half hour, and then I apply 3 pumps of F-Balm on top and finish off with Shaba Eye Complex serum for my eye area. F-Balm is also the perfect companion for Sunday Babyfacial nights! 3 pumps of F-Balm with two drops of Virgin Marula Oil feels amazing on the skin after a Babyfacial treatment. If you have a skincare fridge, or even your regular fridge, I recommend trying this mask out chilled as it heightens the cooling effect & really calms any irritation your skin may have. 💦 Let me know down below how you use F-Balm! 💧 * Kindly gifted but the love is so real 💙 DRUNK ELEPHANT - F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask

Hydration vs Moisturizing 💦
Despite water playing a major role in keeping our skin healthy, smooth & radiant, did you know there is actually a difference between moisturizing & hydration? They both ensure that our skin gets enough water to prevent dryness, dehydration, signs of aging, & environmental damage. It’s HOW moisturizers and hydrators accomplish this that makes the difference. 💜 Hydration focuses on the amount of water within your skin cells. Water within the skin cells is what results to having plumped skin with elasticity. When we apply a topical hydrator, we are infusing these skin cells with water to help improve the skin’s ability to absorb. 💦 On the flip side, moisturizing focuses on trapping and sealing in moisture from water. This helps build the skin’s protective barrier, prevent water loss & helps keep the skin soft and improves texture. 💦 So where does Lala Retro Whipped Cream fall? Lala is the perfect moisturizer as it locks in moisture and helps reinforce the skin’s acid mantel to protect the skin from environmental stressors. This moisturizer is perfect for the upcoming winter season to keep dry skin at bay as it is formulated with 6 African oils & a plant Ceramide complex. This cream moisturizer has a whipped texture that makes it light on the skin and helps absorb into the skin effortlessly. It never feels greasy, sticky or heavy. As with all of DE products, it is biocompatible so it is perfect to mix with your other DE favorites! My personal favorite combination is 1 pump Lala, 2 pumps B-Hydra, and 2 drops of Virgin Marula Oil for a quick nighttime routine. 💜 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream

This Saved my Dry Skin 💜☔️
I am all about luxury skincare!! Boy oh boy does this cream scream luxury! From the rich oils, to the packaging, to the heavy whipped texture.. I AM OBSESSED. I recently switched to this cream for the winter months because where I am gets very dry. I already struggle w dry flaky skin and find it hard to find a moisturizer that can actually meet my needs. Yes this was on the pricier side for sure, but baby my skin is worth it. Will I be repurchasing - YES! This will strictly be a winter season product for me, but wow it’s amazing for my thirsty skin! I’m thinking of switching to protini in the summer months, anyone recommend it? *Disclaimer - I do not support Drunk Elephant in the ways they treat not only their staff, but also their customers.*

One Week Using Differin
Experience: I started using Differin about a week ago to deal with my maskne and dark spots. Ever since I started wearing masks more frequently, my skin has essentially freaked out. It’s super sensitive and dry, especially around my mouth, but I get cystic-like acne along the area where my mask touches my face. I decided that I was going to try Differin as my last resort before going to the dermatologist (cause I’m still nervous about going to doctor’s offices, unless absolutely necessary because of covid). The instructions recommend daily use; however, I began my first week by using it every other day since I’ve had negative experiences/reactions with other active ingredients before. Since then, I’ve begun using it every night. I use this in the evening after cleansing and applying moisturizer and Aquaphor’s healing ointment. Pros: I definitely already see a visible improvement in my skin, especially with the hyperpigmentation that I’ve dealt with. I do use other products that help with brightening, but I’ve been using those products for quite a while and haven’t seen such a drastic improvement until now. Cons: I experienced a few small breakouts around my chin, but they went away pretty quickly. I have yet to experience any significant purging/dryness, but I also didn’t jump immediately to daily use. Other Products I Use + Frequency: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser(everyday to remove sunscreen, PM) The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA(every other day, alternate between this and the next product/AM) The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%(every other day, alternate between this and the previous product/AM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30(everyday, AM) Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant(everyday, use as a lip balm and to protect sensitive areas of my skin when applying Differin)

What’s In My Fridge? ❄️
Here’s a look at what I have in my fridges these days - yes, I have two because I really enjoy chilled skincare that much! A lot of people ask if there are actual skincare benefits for storing your skincare in a fridge, or if it helps preserve the shelf life of your skincare products - It is simply for aesthetic purposes. I enjoy the cooling, soothing sensation it enhances; it adds to the experience when I am applying my skincare routine. In fact, I have read blogs where dermatologists discuss how it is not necessary to store skincare in a fridge as it does not make the products any more effective than they already are. As for extending or preserving shelf life, research has shown that only a slight extension of shelf life would occur with certain ingredients like retinol, but nothing to make you stop what you’re doing & splurge if you don’t have the extra funds available. I don’t know if it’s just in my head, but I do see a difference with treating puffiness & redness when using a chilled product vs room temperature. 💙 I store a lot of my Drunk Elephant staples that I enjoy chilled, a few other moisturizers / serums & eye creams that I like chilled as well. Eye creams & eye patches are my favorite chilled as it really helps with de-puffing the eye area, especially in the morning! Let me know down below what you have in your skincare fridge! ❄️

Empties - Rapid Fire Reviews 🔥
Let’s try something different, shall we? I usually go on IG stories to share my empties, but I figured I’d just post them & do a rapid fire review on the products since there are some really good ones here! 🌸 Innisfree Volcanic Clusters Pore Clearing Facial Foam $12 - This is a GREAT cleanser - I received this product from @octoly for review & I’m glad I did because I probably wouldn’t have tried this cleanser or products from this brand otherwise. This cleanser has Jeju volcanic clusters in the formula that help exfoliate & clear your pores. This cleanser feels so luxurious as it lathers into a silky foam and it never left my skin feeling stripped. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sol de Janiero Coco Cabana Moisturizing Body Cream Cleanser $25 - I’m genuinely sad that this is empty; I’ll definitely be repurchasing this ASAP! This is a bit runny for a cream cleanser, but a little goes a long way - it lathers beautifully; leaves your skin clean, hydrated, soft & smells amazing! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Not Pot Elderberry CBD + Immunity Gummies $39.99 - I’ve been loving Not Pot gummies for a year now, and the Elderberry Immunity flavor take the cake! As someone who has an autoimmune illness, I can confidently say that these have helped with sleep, anxiety and my chronic pain. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Kopari Beauty Coconut Oil Deodorant $14 - This was my first go at trying a natural deodorant since the deodorant cream that I tried from another brand, which was a complete failure. I was able to get two of these for the price of one during a sale at Sephora - I use deodorant morning & night, and this has lasted SO long! This deodorant is great for anyone who wants to transition to a natural deodorant; I didn’t experience any purging and leaves me sweat free / stink free all day! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream $58 (for full size) - This was the first product that I tried from YTTP that made me fall in love with their brand & products! I love this moisturizer for my nighttime routine as it is super hydrating. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Grande Cosmetics Lash Enhancing Serum $65 (for full size) - I will definitely be repurchasing this as soon as I have the extra money to do so, consider it’s pretty expensive! I honestly put off using this product for so long because I was convinced without trying that it was a gimmicky product. Boy, was I wrong! My lashes have never looked so long & full! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Drunk Elephant Shaba Eye Complex $60 (for full size) - This is without a doubt my favorite eye cream to use during my nighttime routine. It keeps my under eye area so smooth & hydrated. I have seen a major difference in the appearance of fine lines, baggy eyes and dullness. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Serum $48 (for full size) - This is hands down my most used DE product! I use this everyday morning & night as part of my routines. This product single handedly saves my skin in the winter from the dry air. My skin never feels dry since using this! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Favorite Cleansing Balm of All Time! 💚
𝓝𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓜𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝓨𝓸𝓾 👋🏼 It’s been awhile since I have done a proper introduction or really talked about myself, so here’s a quick rundown: I am 30 years old and live in Massachusetts. I am a mother to two wonderful boys. Some things that I enjoy besides the obvious (skincare & makeup) are cooking, reading, traveling, spending time with my family, binge watching tv shows / Netflix, & documentaries. Favorite destination? Australia; I went there when I was 15 years old as a student ambassador and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life! Favorite food? Eggplant parmigiana, yum! Worst fear? Cliche, but being alone. Favorite TV show? Breaking Bad. 💚 Speaking of favorites - my all-time, never fails cleansing balm is Slaai Makeup Melting Butter cleanser from Drunk Elephant 💚 It is one of the very few cleansing balms that does not irritate my eyes, burn or leave my vision blurry. As gentle as it is, it is also one of the most effective cleansing balms that breaks down & removes any makeup (even the toughest of waterproof mascaras), sunscreens & dirt / debris effortlessly. I also love that it never leaves a weird film on my skin or leave my skin feeling greasy. I do use this cleansing balm, as I do with any cleansing balm, as my first step in double cleansing; so I always go in with a gentle face cleanser after using this balm - I highly recommend Drunk Elephant’s Pekee Bar as it is also super gentle on the skin & never leaves my skin feeling dry or stripped. 💚 * Full size Slaai kindly gifted by the brand; others purchased by me 🌟 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser

Best Discovery of 2020! Face Oils! 🤩
Good morning/day lovely’s! I’m in the midst of recalibrating, learning and making more content to prepare for the future so pardon for some inconsistencies in posting! Anyways TOOOODAY...it is time to tell you about my favorite discovery in skincare for 2020...OILS! I never really thought I needed a face oil or would like it because I assumed that all oils were dense and took a long time to absorb into the skin. However, after introducing myself to Tsubaki Oil from Oshimatsubaki, my life changed! Tsubaki Oil is Japanese for Camellia Oil and it’s made from cold-pressing the seeds of the Camilla Japonica trees. It has high amounts of Oleic Acid and prevents transepidermal water loss. Your skin can naturally loose hydration through what’s called, “insensible water loss”. This means that throughout the day your skin/body looses moisture to keep you in a state of homeostasis. You can’t feel/sense it and there’s no way of providing exact measurements of how much you loose. Putting an oil after your moisturizer aids in avoiding transepidermal water loss and a barrier for protection against environmental factors. Not to mention, it can help heal acne scars, dry patches, redness, skin conditions, etc. My acne scarring has been healing quite well to a point where you BARELY notice any discoloration and BARELY have any dry patches anymore. I haven’t bought the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum since having Oshimastubaki’s oil. My textured skin in my eye bag area have gotten softer and the fine lines are a wee bit less noticeable. I have tried both Camilla Oils in the photo and discovered some primary differences between them. With Tatcha’s oil you do get Camilla Oil, but you also get a lot of other ingredients like squalene, extracts, rice oil, etc. As for the other one, it’s one ingredient, which is the seeds that make the actual oil. I do feel as if Tatcha’s Oil is a bit “overdone” in a sense. If we are primarily talking about hydration, adding squalene isn’t necessarily needed because camellia oil is already hydrating. At some point in my life, I thought Tatcha’s oil was very well worth the price tag. However, that’s not the case anymore since I bought Oshimastubaki’s. I appreciate Oshimastubaki’s for its fast absorption and it doesn’t leave a greasy feel. Tatcha’s oil does stay on the skin longer most likely due to having Rice Bran Oil in its ingredients. Rice Bran Oil has a fast to medium absorption rate, so you may feel more “shiny” or “greasy” for a little while longer. I bought my oil through Amazon! Make sure it is authentic because there are some places/companies that will sell a different version of Camellia Oil. I highly encourage everyone, even oily skin to have a cold-pressed face oil tailored to their skin. It can really help the absorption of your current moisturizer and give you added benefits by providing necessary fatty acids & protection. It also looks amazing with makeup!

🤦🏻‍♀️Hyperpigmentation Around The Mouth🙅🏻‍♀️
You have got great skin. But the one thing that stops you from stepping out naturally without any makeup is the dark skin around your mouth. Is this true? You have tried everything from DIYs to skin lightening creams. But the pigmentation around your mouth has remained your stubborn friend, right Why Is The Skin Around My Mouth Dark? 1. Hyperpigmentation 2. Weather Conditions Sun exposure and darkening of the skin. In very cold weather, if you lick your lips and the area around it too often, it can discolour the skin and make it look darker How Do You Get Rid Of Hyperpigmentation Around The Mouth? 1. Exfoliate If you exfoliate the area around your mouth regularly with a gentle exfoliator, it can remove dead cells and help to lighten the skin. Opt for a chemical exfoliant as it will not scrape the skin which in turn may worsen the condition. 2. OTC Skin-Brightening Creams Skin brightening creams can be effective in reducing the dark area around the mouth. Look for ingredients such as glabridin (a licorice extract), kojic acid, vitamin C, grape seed extract, azelaic acid , arbutin, curcumin or niacinamide, These block the production of tyrosinase which is needed by the skin to make melanin. 3. Acid Peels Your dermatologist may use a salicylic acid or glycolic acid peel to treat the dark skin around your mouth. However, these peels do not offer a permanent solution and the pigmentation can return. These peels penetrate deep into the skin to repair the damaged cells. Post treatment precautions like staying out of the sun, applying sunscreen and protecting the skin can make the effect of the peels last longer 6. Natural Remedies You can also use natural remedies to treat the dark skin around your mouth. Most of these natural ingredients can be found in your kitchen. Unless you have an allergy to any of these, you can try using them to get rid of the pigmented skin. Exfoliate with Papaya Papaya has fruit acids known as alpha-hydroxy acids, which is a chemical exfoliantAHAs are used for dry skin and to anti-age, and works to improve skin by removing the top layers of the skin through weakening the lipids that bond them together, thus removing dull and dead skin cells and revealing healthy skin cells. Soothe Skin and Reduce Spots with Almond Oil The presence of Vitamin E and niacin help with hyperpigmentation and improving skin tone,” she says. Because sweet almond oil is non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores) you can add it to your nightly routine as a makeup remover or moisturizer to help protect the skin barrier. Reverse Photo Damage with Tomatoes Tomatoes are naturally rich in lycopene, which has multiple health benefits, including sun protection Brighten with Yogurt breaks down dead skin cells thanks to lactic acid, which is found naturally in dairy products. Using a yogurt with cow’s milk could be effective in calming the skin, since it has lactic acid. Lactic acid is an AHA, which improves discoloration and age spots

Facial in a Bottle
Not everyone has the time, money or ability to get a professional facial, but that doesn’t mean our skin has to suffer. For less than the cost of most facial services, you can purchase Drunk Elephant’s TLC Sukari Babyfacial for $80 (or test it out with the Midi size for just $28). And in just a mere 20 minutes, you’ll have skin that looks more radiant, smoother & even tone, and feels soft like a baby’s bottom! 👶🏻 This professional grade AHA/BHA formula is made up of powerhouse ingredients such as 25% AHA blend of glycolic acids, tartaric acids, citric acids & lactic acids. 2% salicylic acid. Chick pea flour. A blend of extracts such as pumpkin ferment, pomegranate, & cactus. Passion fruit seed oil & Virgin Marula oil. Niacinamide. Sodium hyaluronate cross polymer. 💕 I use this facial once a week as a deep exfoliant - to not only remove dead skin cells, but to promote surface turnover, to have a clearer, smoother & more radiant looking skin. I leave this on for 20 minutes and remove using a reusable wash cloth, & pat my skin dry. To prevent any loss of hydration, I follow up immediately with 3 pumps of Drunk Elephant’s F-Balm, 2 drops of Virgin Marula Oil & Shaba for my eye area. 💕 . . * Product has been kindly gifted, but also repurchased by myself 💖 DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. DRUNK ELEPHANT - The Littles Head to Toe $49/kit with pvc bag & plastic comb As a kit, it’s very cute & a great deal of product for the price, the comb is well made & also cute —but leaking products? Broken seal? Not cute! You get 2 ⭐️’s off for that! Here’s everything you get in this kit: mini sizes💝 Each product is 2 oz, except for the deodorant (1 oz) Full size prices in bold: DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub $36/6 oz pH 3.7 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion $20/8 oz pH 4.2 This & the body cleanser are actually the only Drunk Elephant products I’ve ever tried. I received a generous sized sample from Sephora & really liked it, part of the reason I wanted to buy this set, & so I could try their other body products. It has a strong scent, even though it’s fragrance-free. It smells like almond oil & oatmeal, I love it. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Kamili Cream Body Cleanser $20/8 oz pH 5 This was the sample that truly impressed me. I’ve been having some concerns finding a cleanser that’s pH balanced & gentle enough for everywhere, if you know what I mean. I noticed a major difference after using it just twice. This body wash is definitely not stripping any moisture. Like all Drunk Elephant products, it’s fragrance-free, but has a lovely natural scent that’s very subtle. Hard to describe... it’s fresh & bright. Ugh I sound like a 2000s perfume commercial lol. - the seal was broken on this item though. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Wild Marula Tangle Spray $25/4 oz pH 4.5 🔎I think this was what was leaking, but I have not completed my investigation lol. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner$25/8 oz pH 3.6 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Cocomino Glossing Shampoo$25/8 oz pH 5.5 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream$16/4 oz pH 4 Definitely excited to hop on the natural deo train. I’ve been wearing nothing for a while to detox aluminum... but I should be ready to try this really soon. 💚Full reviews are on the way💚 What was your experience with any of these? Are you a Drunk Elephant fan? I know there’s debate & tea surrounding this company, but I’m just trying to give more natural products a shot... With these kits it’s easy to try a bunch of products at once, I love that🍸🐘 🛍This was a 20% off Sephora sale purchase... 10-20% off sale is still going on for a couple more days! 🧳PS- I also got DRUNK ELEPHANT - The Trunk 4.0 I’m crazy, but couldn’t resist the deal.... can’t wait to show you💚🐘! 🐘Also, you can adopt a Pygmy Elephant or an African Elephant from WWF (or many other endangered animals) for only a $55 donation, & you get an adorable (& high quality) plush made from recycled plastic bottles! ♻️ I love animals! I have a serious plush animal collection & i think I’ll only be doing these donation/adoptions to add to my collection from now on! Go to gifts.worldwildlife.org & click on symbolic adoptions.

Sunscreen: And The Winner Is....
Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Sheer vs La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios I’m still looking for the perfect face sunscreen. These two have been part of the journey and they each have pros and cons. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Melt-in Milk Body & Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100 Anthelios 100 SPF: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 PROS: * 100 SPF * Water resistant (80 minutes) * Seems like it can go under makeup well * Easy to use bottle CONS: * La Roche-Posay tests on animals * When I sweat a lot, I worry some of it might be coming off because I can definitely taste it. 😐 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30: ⭐️⭐️.5 / 5 PROS: * Cruelty-free company * Meets the minimum needed 30 SPF CONS: * Not water-resistant * I felt like it didn’t rub in as well as I’d like it to * Is just okay Obviously La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios wins here due to its high SPF and because it’s water-resistant (that includes sweat!). That said, I probably won’t purchase again because the company tests on animals. If you have a favorite facial sunscreen, let me know! Drunk Elephant has a lot of good products but I’m just not feeling their sunscreen. If a sunscreen isn’t water-resistant, I’m not even going to entertain the idea. We all sweat. I need staying power. I also just wasn’t a fan of the feel of it. It seemed a little sticky, like it didn’t absorb as well as I would have liked.

☀️☀️We hate Suncream yet we are hopeless without it☀️☀️ UNPROTECTED SUN exposure is the number-one cause of two things most of us would rather avoid: skin cancer and premature aging. And yet, the people who neglect daily sunscreen are swift to offer up justifications, chief among them: “I just don’t like the way it feels” Widespread sunscreen aversion has led many brands to bridge the sunscreen and skin care categories, creating lightweight everyday facial formulas that incorporate antiaging and antioxidant ingredients, boast a more appealing texture (sheer! weightless!), and provide imperfection-blurring technology. But with hundreds to choose from, how do you find one that inspires devotion? My solution: Test 50 top formulas As for my personal issues with sunscreen engagement: I have a dusky complexion and very sensitive skin, ergo, my skin gets pigmentation easily; A facial sunscreen that doesn’t upset my sensitive skin’s fine balance can seem like a unicorn. I prefer moisturizing formulas with dewier results; matte finishes tend to magnify fine lines, I’ve found. I want a sunscreen that neither feels heavy on my face nor is detectable by anyone else. My ideal formula must also play well with any makeup I use: I’ve learned, for instance, that the white cast of classic zinc formulas plus blush can leave me looking very mime-y. And last, but certainly not least, it must be fragrance-free or at least scented to a barely discernible degree. Fragrance can be a sneaky skin irritant, and I would rather my face didn’t smell like cloying coconuts or shampoo. I dutifully tested a massive pile of sunscreens of every creed with all the aforementioned criteria in mind. It’s true that you won’t like using sunscreen until you find sunscreen you like using. Here are 12 to consider Best for Sensitive Skin EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46/ First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 40 Frequently, and deservedly name-checked by dermatologists (Dr. Marmur is a fan), this SPF-46 formulation goes on clear, is full of niacinamide (an anti-inflammatory vitamin B3 derivative), and crucially, it won’t give you zits. “I love it because it’s sensitive enough to use if you have acne, dryness or rosacea but also isn’t greasy for those with oily skin Best for No-Frills Folks SkinCeuticals Light Moisture UV Defense SPF 50/ Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 30 Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 A basic sunscreen is not a bad thing. This one feels not unlike your favorite pared-down, lightweight body moisturizer: hydrating without leaving any residue. It’s equally suitable for face and body which saves you the trouble of having to buy a second sunscreen Best for Makeup Wearers Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30/ Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 Supergoop! - Superscreen Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA+++ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 Though called a serum, it’s more akin to a moisturizer—a silky, featherweight moisturizer at that. Upon application, it sinks right into the skin, has a smooth finish and won’t compete with any makeup you top it with. It makes for a very easy swap for the morning moisturizer currently in your skin care routine. Best for Serum-Lovers Solid & Striped Face Sunscreen/ Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen SPF 35 Bumble and bumble. - Solid & Striped Surf Spray, Malibu Beach Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen The best compliment that you can pay to a sunscreen is that it doesn’t seem like a sunscreen. And this facial formula— the first skin-care product from swimwear brand Solid & Striped—feels nothing like a sunscreen and everything like a lightweight serum. This appealing quality made remembering to use it very easy. That it looks a bit moist and dewy on the skin also helps Best for Dry Skin Vive Sana Daily Protezione/ Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Skin Guardian With White Tea ORIGINS - A Perfect World Age-Defense Skin Guardian with White Tea The zinc-based formula is rich and immensely hydrating (it’s full of argan oil), like a solid night cream. On the skin that lushness reads as a subtle glow, precluding the need for highlighter (if that’s your thing). For the moisture-starved among us, this natural sunscreen will feel like a revelation Best for the Chemical-Shy Coola Mineral Sun Silk Crème Organic Sunscreen SPF 30/ Clinique Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Face Broad Spectrum SPF 50 CLINIQUE - Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Face COOLA - Full Spectrum 360° Mineral Sun Silk Moisturizer SPF 30 Formulating mineral sunscreens so that they A) aren’t so dense they become unwieldy; and B) don’t leave a ghostly veil on your face, can be a tricky business. The mineral sunscreens I tested rarely felt weightless, but this one proved to be a true exception. It has the added benefit of protecting against infrared and HEV (aka, the blue light emanating from all your various devices

Facial oils - my experience
Even though I have combination skin, I try to incorporate facial oils in my routine. I feel like they are the bodyguard for our skin, they seal all the products underneath. I have tried two oils till now and here is what I thought: Initially when I used the Biossance oil I thought it worked great, but my skin started breaking out very badly after3-4days and I stopped using the oil all together. I was very scared to use facial oil after my bad experience with this. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil Then I came across Drunk elephant and with all those glimmering reviews I decided to give Marula oil a try and I never regretted it. My skin didn’t break out at all. And the oil also gets absorbed by my skin quickly and doesn't leave an oily icky residue. I especially love using this at night, when I have more time to massage my face. It minimizes the tugging from facial tools or friction from your fingers. Not everyone likes or needs oils on their face; but if you do, then don’t think twice before buying this! :)DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

Drunk Elephant Line Rapid Review: Part 1
Drunk Elephant Line Rapid Review: Part 1
Brief peeks into my latest opinions of various Drunk Elephant products: • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample is a deep-cleaning gel cleanser that is strong enough to take off sweat and sunscreen, but I find it needs a primary cleanse if I’m wearing makeup. Can be bit harsh if I’m having an eczema flare-up but is otherwise gentle and good for most skin. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser is a super gentle balm cleanser that I love to leave on as a moisturizing mask before I use it to wash off my makeup. Doesn’t irritate my eyes and is perfect for sensitive skin. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum is a potent vitamin c serum that lightens hyperpigmentation very well within months of use. However, it is too potent for my skin, so I dilute it heavily if I use it. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum makes skin so soft and smooth! It helps bumpy texture wonderfully. Again, super potent- I have to be sure to use a small amount dilute in a serum and applied over top of my moisturizer. Improves skin texture very fast. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream is and always will be a favourite. Creamy yet fluffy. Rich and quenching. Perfect for sensitive skin. Never leaves me shiny! • DRUNK ELEPHANT - F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask is another favourite- it’s perfect for dehydrated, dry, or sensitive skin. I always use it after an acid product to prevent inflammation and sensitivity. A surprising texture, due to the beads of fatty acids, and it soaks in quickly. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask is so, so, so potent! It’s amazing. A single use leaves my skin baby soft and glowing. However, the potency that gives instant results makes it so strong that I can only use it every other week. But I’ll keep doing so because it’s so wonderful feeling my smooth, soft skin afterwards. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is the best oil I’ve ever tried in terms of super fast absorption and lack of shine. It leaves me dewy, not greasy, and a couple drops is the perfect boost to my moisturizers. It is a bit pricy though considering I only use it in the PM unless it’s winter, making the quick absorption only important for 3 months of the year. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 No white cast, no tingling, no congestion. Buuut I am a little shiny if I use this in the summer, so this is my preferred winter sunscreen and would be perfect for dry-skinned folks.

The trunk 2.0 wasn’t available
The trunk 2.0 wasn’t available in Canada, so I made my own! 🐘 _____________________ Here’s a collection of all my Drunk elephant favourites wrapped up in a nice little box! ✨ Cleanse: my favourite cleansers are Beste and Juju. That little bar really packs a punch! Beste is also amazing as a makeup brush cleanser! ✨Serum: in the morning I love to mix C a, B Hydra, and D Bronzi. At night, TLC Framboos is the one for me! I also like to use Shaba around the eyes. ✨Hydrate: I like to use Protini for day and Lala’s intense moisture at night. For days I need an extra boost, I’ll pat Marula Oil on before my moisturizer. ✨Treat: TLC Sukari Baby Facial is a knockout. The rumours are true... it’s amazing. Strong active ingredients and my skin never feels red or irritated after using. This stuff works! ✨Protect: I LOVEEE using Umbra Tinte in the morning as my daily SPF. It has a slight tint that is enough coverage to even out my skin so I can skip foundation. I also love how it is on my skin, it drinks it up! I press it into my skin after my morning routine. Some may find it too , but I love the glow that it gives!! _____________________ That’s all the Drunk in my Trunk! 💕🐘 _____________________

Overkill?
Overkill?
New here! So I recently started my skin care journey. I’m 32, 15 weeks postpartum and nursing, dealing with some fine line and wrinkles, melasma, and overall uneven texture. Got some recommendations from friends and this is the regimen I’ve been sticking to the last 3 months. I have noticed improved texture, improved melasma. Fine lines and wrinkles and large pores are still a work in progress. Open to any and all advice that is nursing friendly ☺️

Drunk Elephant review
I'd long been curious about whether Drunkelephant was worth the hype. It's now been over a month, so here are some of my thoughts: ▪️ I was super skeptical about the protini cream being enough for my dry skin, especially since it's been touted as being an HG for oilier skin types. That said, I actually really like it for the daytime! My skin absorbs it quickly and is left feeling soft and plump! During the winter, I need something a bit heavier at night, but come summer, this will come in handy (if it lasts that long!) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream ▪️ the best jelly cleanser is nice, but for $34 I expect a bit more, and ultimately I prefer my glossier MJC that's half the price DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample ▪️ LOVE babyfacial! It's by far my favorite resurfacing mask, though I'm very careful with how often I use it, as it's quite potent and I don't want to compromise my skin's moisture barrier. I probably reach for it once a month, and that works for me. $80 is pretty steep, but you only need a thin layer, so it should easily last for months. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask ▪️ b-hydra serum is the best thing they make in my opinion! It's so lightweight, yet incredibly hydrating, so it's perfect for layering on top of other treatments and/or before creams. At $52, it's not cheap, but it's a decent size and you only need a couple pumps per application. I'm so sold on this that I'm already planning on buying a backup if I can find it on sale this weekend! DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
