I’ve been using the Drunk Elephant hair products since their release in March of this year, and the results have completely blown me away. My hair has never looked or felt this healthy in my entire life. 😱 ⠀ My hair is naturally curly and very frizzy, but I prefer to wear it straight. (My ends, for example, may look split in this photo but they aren’t; they never lie fully straight thanks to my somewhat coarse texture and curl pattern). Because of this, it takes high and frequent heat to get these locks this smooth and silky, so I’m always needing to ward off potential damage. ⠀ I shampoo 1-2 times weekly with Cocomino Glossing Shampoo, which is gentle and doesn’t strip my hair of its natural oils, and I follow with Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner. I leave the conditioner in while I finish my shower; the longer the better! My hair absolutely drinks it up. ⠀ Afterwards, I spray Wild Marula Tangle Spray through sections of my damp hair to help with tangles (this stuff works miracles, I swear!) and to give some much-needed heat protection. Once or twice a week I also use T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub. This is the one product that has actually made a marked difference for my perpetually dry scalp. It’s divine! ⠀ After a few weeks of use, I started realizing how soft my hair always was. All these months later and it’s only gotten better. My hair is less frizzy, it’s always so soft, and it looks and feels healthy. All the time. Happy Tuesday everyone! 🤍 Today I have my review of the @drunkelephant Kamili Cream Body Cleanser! • • I am always on the hunt for a body cleanser that doesn’t strip my skin...and I found the perfect one! The @drunkelephant Kamili cream body cleanser is lightweight very gentle on the skin. Ive been using it for a week now and it left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. It has a mild almond scent and a little goes a long way! • • I highly recommend picking up the @drunkelephant Kamili Cream Body Cleanser You will fall in love with it! 🐘💛🐘

Drunk Elephant released a body product line that is supposedly face-safe... so I’ve tested their products’ dual use, with surprising success thus far! DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub is amazing on the scalp as well as the face, melding chemical and gentle physical exfoliation- but what about the other, less obviously translating products? 👀 • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Kamili Cream Body Cleanser is a 5/5 star cleanser for both the body and the face- I actually like it more than DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample on my face! It’s less drying, but still gets my skin thoroughly clean on days I don’t have 4+ layers of sunscreen on. It has little lather, making it wonderful for sensitive and/or dry skin, as well as those that wash their face twice per day. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream took a while to gather the courage to test 🙈 I used it as a wash-off exfoliant mask, leaving it on for ten minutes before rinsing. Mandelic acid is thickened by arrowroot powder and tapioca starch, making this an unsurprisingly gentle chemical exfoliant. It also soaked up excess oil quite nicely, but the variety of oils (and she’s butter) included kept it from being overly drying on my t-zone. It did leave my cheeks feeling a bit tight so I’d recommend it primarily for oily/combo folks that can’t handle harsher lactic acid/glycolic acid masks- it leaves skin sooo soft but definitely does its job of keeping skin dry! • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion is a ceramide- and amino acid-packed lotion that manages to feel luscious and lightweight, which made it a perfect PM moisturizer some nights when I felt particularly adventurous with the body line! It soaks in surprisingly well and didn’t break me out with a couple days of use, buuuut it did leave me shiny. Very shiny, actually, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this as an AM moisturizer unless you’re in a pinch. But the squalane and coconut alkanes make this a particularly silky lotion that would be good for dry, normal, and/or combo skin in the evening. I recommend these mainly for those that like dual-use products... or those bored at home 😂 #CheriePartner

I’ve detoxed aluminum for a couple months now & excited for my first real foray into natural deo! I have tried Tom's OF MAINE - Fresh Apricot Natural Long Lasting Deodorant a long time ago, but it really didn’t cut it for me when I was a waitress. I started using: 🌹Dove - Dry Spray Antiperspirant & Deodorant Rose Petals earlier this year... Its my favorite scent of all the Dove Dry Sprays, a pretty elevated Rose scent for a drugstore brand! But, like most antiperspirants, it does contain aluminum. Old fave: CLARINS - Gentle Care Roll-On Deodorant This contains aluminum as well, but alcohol free. This was a 5-star product & basically a holy grail product for me for years, but then it suddenly stopped working for me. It made me sweat even more! It was wildly out of my price range for a deodorant when I discovered it in college. Working across the street from a mall (& on the same block as Sephora😍) led me to spend many lunch breaks trying samples & feeling bougie. Going to Sephora before work to tone, serum, moisturize & do makeup is a story for another day-real broke bitch shit🙋🏻‍♀️ This deodorant smelled so much better, more fancy & refined than others I’d tried from Walgreens or Target. It had a somewhat liquidy texture that dried pretty quickly, but maybe not fast enough for some people. Still give it 5⭐️because it was a game changer for me & so effective fort quite a long time- until it wasn’t. I’ve heard of this happening with antiperspirants though? My first impressions: DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream Scent: I wasn’t sure what to expect of the scent, but it’s quite pleasant. Smells sorta sweet like Almond oil🤎 I was really impressed by how it smelled on/off my body, because there’s always a difference... I can be really stinky at times since I go through a lot of temperature changes due to my condition, causing me to sweat sometimes even in the cold. Keeps me fresh, but I do need to reapply. Ingredients: Instead of aluminum as the 2nd ingredient, like most antiperspirants, Sweet Pitti utilizes DE’s star bodycare ingredient: Almonds! The AHA, Mandelic Acid, derived from Almonds is both water & oil soluble. This quality that allows it to penetrate & remain effective within the hair follicle. This alpha hydroxy acid is also a great bacteria killer🦠-which is the singular reason why sweat stinks! ⚠️Using any ol’ AHA on your sensitive armpits won’t be a good idea, but Mandelic Acid is milder on skin than Salicylic or Glycolic acids, due to a larger molecule size. So, while the aluminum present in antiperspirants attempts to prevent sweat by physically blocking your sweat glands, this deodorant uses powder from Arrowroot plant as an absorbent ingredient. Texture: Don’t twist too much or too fast with this- can get messy. It’s very creamy, you don’t need much. Doesn’t feel wet for too long & I haven’t noticed any staining on my clothes yet.

I have sensitive skin and switched to natural deodorant about two years ago. When DE released this I figured I’d try it just to see how it is. It has some great ingredients and it’s surprised me in a few different ways. ✨This is a deodorant cream which is $16 for 2oz. It is meant to soothe and moisturize while also maintain odor. It is free of baking soda, essential oils and aluminum-derived ingredients. It has mandelic acid for killing odor causing bacteria as well as arrowroot which is highly absorbent. This also has Shea butter for hydration. 🌸As far as natural deodorants go, this didn’t give me any problems when I switched and began using it. I hardly noticed a difference at all between my last natural deodorants which is a good thing. It comes out fairly liquidy but it dries down fast. It has that almond scent like their whole body and hair line which I’m pretty neutral about overall but this works for me and will be one I finish fully. ☀️One thing I don’t like is that after use, the product dries a bit around the area where it is released from the packaging so it requires fairly regular cleaning. I like this a lot but I’ll probably try something new next time or return to Farmacy’s Freshen Up. 🌊 I’ve also used the natural deodorant by Tarte and Kopari and also recommend those as well. *If you’re new to natural deodorant, you will experience a “purging” phase for a bit due to the removal of aluminum from your deodorant. This is normal and I’m happy I made the switch ultimately! I recommend carrying your deodorant with you and you can even use a detoxing mask there to remove impurities during this time. Covid numbers aren’t going down & I take these facts very seriously. Haven’t had contact with almost anyone since March, because I do have a neurological disease that could put me at risk.
