TEAM SILK BABY: brooklinen - Large Silk Scrunchies
$32/set of 3 I absolutely love these! They’re made from 100% 22 Momme Mulberry Silk🐛 Some brands that make quality Silk pillowcases don’t actually make their scrunchies out of the exact same type of Silk. ☁️Read my ‘First Impressions on Brooklinen’ post to find out all about Silk & the benefits for your hair (& skin) I love that these fit my thick hair without feeling like I’ll break them. They still have tons of ruffles when stretched, & the elastic inside is actually thick! I showed buns in the photos, but it fits all of hair perfectly with just one, strong, secure & so comfortable. I noticed they stretched a bit in size after first use (see photos) but no further stretching & perfectly strong. If you have thick hair I highly recommend. scünci - Scrunchies
$7/set of 12 I know they make bigger ones called ponytail scrunchies, sold individually, but the scrunchies in this pack of 12 were way smaller than I remember Scünci pack scrunchies being before, & they’re not labeled mini or anything. I hate when scrunchies have no excess fabric when stretched to max, so there’s basically no ruffles to speak of when I use it for my thick hair. I also broke a lot of them🤦🏻‍♀️ I can only assume the fabric is Polyester based on the little pilling on it, but the fabric isn’t disclosed on the packaging🤔 Works for a half tail I guess, I do adore this sage green shade so much. /kit·sch/ - Microfiber Towel Scrunchies
$18/set of 2 85% Biconstituent fiber (Polyester & Polyamide)/15% Polyester Biconstituent aka bicomponent fiber is made of two materials, utilizing the desired properties from each. I was a little disappointed by their fabric choice. Polyester is hydrophobic, meaning polyester fabrics don’t absorb fluids like perspiration or water, & Polyamide is considered a water resistant material, no matter what its design properties are. (Sorry for nerding out- I used to be in the fashion industry) However, these are super cute, fluffy & more convenient than a traditional towel, because I don’t use a hair dryer. But they don’t really dry your hair. /kit·sch/ - Eco-Friendly Towel Scrunchies
$18/set of 2 65% Bamboo Rayon/35% Organic Cotton Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber made by chemically reshaping cellulose. Cellulose extracted from bamboo can be suitable for processing into viscose rayon (also made from cellulose from other sources) This one dries better better because it’s actually made of absorbent materials! Yay! But isn’t as fluffy, soft or thick, as you can see in the photos if you swipe. I would love these if they were made thicker (which is totally possible with these fabrics) Both versions have a 5.5” diameter, but these are so much thinner than the original. If your hair is thin, one is probably enough, but I like to use both at the same time. Reviews of all the Kitsch towel wraps, both reg & eco-friendly🔜

Tiana inspired beauty routine 🐸 💋
Quick beauty breakdown inspired by Disney’s Princess Tiana! Somewhere in-between a 2C and 3C curl type (hard to tell from the animation alone) I’m thinking Tiana’s hair care is all about locking in a whole lot of moisture. The oh so humid New Orleans means skincare looks at deep cleansing and purifying pores. And makeup? Tiana knows how to do glamour! My “Bread & Butter” for Hydration, Glow, & Shine
Because I have chronically dry skin and bleached hair, I’m always looking for products to introduce strengthening nutrients and hydration into both. Both of these are amazing black (womxn!) owned businesses that incorporates natural & scientifically proven hydrating and strengthening ingredients that work! I’ve never used anything quite like this products before, and I can’t imagine my life without them now! Let’s start with TOPICALS - Like Butter Hydrating Mask which I’ve raved a lot about before. But it’s really that good! Including a stunning ingredients list with some star players: Tumeric, Centella Asiatica, Green Tea, & colloidal oatmeal. It’s perfect for dry and itchy people, along with those experiencing redness and inflammation along with hyperpigmentation from breakouts! It restores dry, flaky skin, helps soothe inflamed sensitive and stressed-out skin, fortifies skin’s damaged moisture barrier— all while being pleasant to use! The ingredients all listed above target these issues like no other. Within a few days, it had a bad eczema patch and hyperpigmentation from a few breakouts taken care of. This do-it-all mask/spot treatment/cream is something you need in your arsenal. It’s not greasy or heavy, and takes care of all its claims with ease. It really does smooth skin and make it feel like butter! Next is my new favorite go-to hair product, BREAD - Hair Oil Everyday Gloss which is free from fillers and silicones— perfect for curly hair and frizz. The inclusion of Kadaku plum into the oil blend gives an addictive scent, floral and fruity without being cloyingly sweet. I love using this as a hair mask, hot oil treatment, and leave in oil— it works amazingly for all three of these uses and cuts down the amount of things I need to use on my curls. A little goes a long way, but you have to use a lot to make your hair look greasy. It really does provide a glossy dew-like shine to hair reminiscent of a lip-gloss, but without the stick! Kadaku plum which is the star ingredient of this multipurpose hair oil has 50x the vitamin C of an orange, so it also helps maintain and restore collagen and elastin within the scalp and hair follicles and fights photo damage/free radicals keeping it soft and manageable. Coupled with healthy fats from safflower, hair stays plump and smooth until your next wash day or application! I can’t see myself living without products now that they’re in my routine. Would you try them? They really are two of my super Holy Grails!

📔☕️My ‘Pink Tings’ look details 🎟🩰👛🍧🧠🎀
🌷🪞SELFIE-CARE MOMENT🪞🌷 You guys... I felt so cute yesterday & doing this look for myself totally changed my mood all day! 🦴I have a physical disability & have been diagnosed with major depressive disorders & all that fun stuff... Though I’ve been taking good care of my skin, I’ve been doing pretty bad emotionally & otherwise... This was a pick me up I didn’t even realize I needed! 🍧😋This look was basically just me trying out a new blush & sheer lipstick I got (see my recent post ‘Pink tings’ for the actual product reviews including swatches & ingredients) but I didn’t think I would love it so much, so I had to post! 💖This look requires very little skill! I didn’t even brush my hair or wear a clean hoodie. A little color coordination goes a long way people! 👚Speaking of color coordination, I actually used the blush conventionally, & as my eyeshadow. I’m not new to this, but it’s no secret, try it! Products used: 🍑Blush:SERAPHINE botanicals - Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush I actually just used my fingers for both my cheek & lid application. Not my go-to method by any means, but I haven’t been wearing makeup like at all, & was honestly too lazy to clean a brush. The formula is smooth, soft & also buildable- so it worked out. 👄Lip:HONEST - Lip Crayon Sheer Lush shade: Sheer Blossom This shade is almost my natural lip color, & also very sheer. The neutral, subtle polished shade kept this look from being too crazy with clashing pinks. I think this color would look great on literally anyone! Other products used: Some of my current & all time favorites💞 🦋Foundation:Sulwhasoo - Limited Edition Perfecting Cushion 2020 Spring Collection This formula is amazing! Full review in a previous post. 🧚🏼Brows:Kaja - Brow Blowout Fiber Gel Brow Definer Gives a nice laminated look. Full review coming 🔜 🖤Mascara:GIVENCHY - Phenomen’eyes Mascara One of the best mascaras I’ve found for holding a curl completely clump free! Tools/skin prep: 🌤#JLo Beauty - THAT BIG SCREEN™ IN A BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30 MOISTURIZER[products]#[FiveStars] Absolute new favorite face sunscreen! I didn’t use any primer, just this! 💫SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler A less curved shape than others, perfect for more shallow eye shapes. I swear by this guy! 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🎀 🌷🦭So I should really be doing stuff like this more often for my mental health! I feel beautiful without makeup, but this was so quick, easy & fun— & silly as it may sound, made me feel more connected with myself. 📦I’m glad I convinced myself I needed to order a “new” lip color on my birthday lol- & also that I subscribed to a beauty box to have some new goodies to try that I would have otherwise probably never checked out, like this blush! 💕What do you think of my look?💕 💌nay #CherieCreator 🍒

🕷🐈‍⬛🕯Friday the 13th & feelin cute!🕯🐈‍⬛🕷
I try not to be superstitious about a day or a number, but I still find myself thinking about it🤔 🍂It’s really feeling like Fall! Had the first snow of the season the other day, but now it’s just raining a lot🌧 Before I took better care of my skin, I rarely took selfies without makeup on, I just didn’t feel cute. Now I feel cute with a glowing face full of skincare & have kinda ditched makeup (which personally, also helped my skin tremendously!) I felt extra cute today & just wanted to chill & get cozy, but we have guests right now, so I decided to throw on my fav mascara & gloss for fun. ➡️ Everything on my skin, lashes & lips is in the next photo. GIVENCHY - Phenomen’eyes Mascara Is my ultimate favorite mascara! I truly miss the brown shade this used to come in, but that’s just me, loved it for my lashes (& brows when I was lazy) The brown shade was not great for every look, but it was so soft & natural looking. This black shade is your basic, classic black, I’m just so in love with the formula & applicator. 🏰The comb reminds me of that medieval spikey ball weapon thing. Love it. It makes it super easy for me to control where I’m applying, & keep it light, feathery & clump-free (my personal preference for an everyday mascara look) I love how i can just sort of “kiss” my lashes with this product, especially the bottom line, so effectively. ✔️You can definitely get a more dramatic effect with this mascara if that’s what you’re going for! 🖤The thing I love most is how the formula really holds my curl throughout the day! My tricks for lashes is start with a great curler. This will be different for everyone, because we all have different eye shapes. My eyes are not deep set at all. My lashes aren’t particularly long, but my lashes sometimes graze the inside of sunglasses for instance... My perfect eyelash curler has a less pronounced curve than most standard American market curlers, which helps get me the perfect curl with no pinching at all! 🛍I also use a FREE spoolie (yes I’m that bitch at Sephora) to comb out any clumps. SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler I also always have these on hand, so I’m never with a cracked/split one, save your eyes from injury & hidden bacteria: SHISEIDO - SHISEIDO Eyelash Curler Pad I wish Sephora carried these! They’re only $6/2 pack-but annoying/wasteful to buy without free shipping-unless I buy tons lol. *i always curl BEFORE mascara! As the mascara is kinda drying I use clean fingers to sort of push them up to curl a bit more & have it hold! ⚠️You may be tempted to use a curler at some point AFTER mascara. Though I did it 1,000x without incident, the one time I pulled out over half my top line was it for me! Proceed with caution. DIOR - Lip Glow Oil So moisturizing & not sticky! Lips look alive & plump!💕 NEST FRAGRANCES - Bamboo Candle 🕯Jasmine/Amber vibes, warm, perfect for Fall🍂

One of the best nail polishes out right now. If you live essie than you are going to love this! Super fast dry and great color. I think this as a metallic color it lasted longer than the mattes. Just a beautiful color. Also I am thinking of trying this nail polish for stamping since it’s a fast dry and see how it works . essie - Expressie Quick-Dry Nail Polish

I need to get a new bottle of
I need to get a new bottle of French Kiss, I used to use it in sooo many designs. Pure Ice's cremes are always so awesome to use, great consistency all around, and perfect for stamping too! This is Pure Ice Home Run, two coats with shiny topcoat. It looks mint green in the bottle, but on the nail it turned tiffany blue, which I think looks quite pretty.

Favorite cuticle oil! 💕
With the drier months ahead, my hands (and cuticles!) need all the help it can get. So I had my boyfriend pick this cuticle oil from Target and let me tell you, it works and it smells amazing! 💕 Hands down, my favorite. ella+mila - Oil Me Up - Lavender Nail Care
