💀 𝖍𝖆𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖍𝖞𝖌𝖎𝖊𝖓𝖊 🦠
🎃𝕳𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖞 𝕳𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖊𝖓 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖞𝖔𝖓𝖊! Good hygiene is rudimentary & necessary for everyone. For those of us suffering from acne, it can be a constant chore to keep bacteria away from our faces. Scary!🦠 I used to get intermittent breakouts & pimples throughout my 20s from a combination of things like partying a lot, staying up all night finishing projects for school & sleeping in my makeup constantly... Since those days, I have a solid skincare routine, don’t wear makeup much & I have learned so much about the hygiene steps it takes to have clearer skin. 🧫Most of what we learn about forming basic hygiene practices is from our upbringing. Growing up I knew my house was dirtier than other kids, but didn’t quite see the disservice my parents did until I was older. We can’t physically see bacteria, so it’s easy for some of us to put it out of our minds throughout the day. 🧼In addition to washing your face twice a day etc... I made some slides about hygiene tips to remember with help from Hello Kitty🎀 My skin has improved so much with these steps: 1. WASH YOUR HANDS ! Pretty obvious. We should all be doing it considering the current circumstances anyways. I actually always wash my hands before I wash my face. 2. CLEAN FACE TOWELS I lived with my parents briefly last year, what a nightmare... My dad was always using my cute face towels to wipe his hands after working construction & shit... I couldn’t get him to stop, even adding a second towel didn’t help. Now my roommate totally respects my towel & understands that a clean face towel is crucial to keeping my skin clear. A damp towel allows bacteria to proliferate. Face towels can be quite inexpensive, grab as many as you need depending on how often you do laundry🧺 3. CHANGE THOSE SHEETS Ideally everyone would change their sheets once a week. I’m sure we all know some people ( I’m looking at you straight men ) that wait a lot longer than that... If you have body acne, you may want to change them 2x weekly. Your body is constantly shedding dead skin cells, about 1.5 million every hour. Sleeping in clean pajamas can prevent some transfer, but if you toss & turn a lot, you could be shedding even more. 4. AND THE PILLOWCASE ! I change my sheets once a week, but I change pillowcases at least twice as often. No matter what type of pillowcase you use, at least a weekly wash is a MUST! In my college days I was always crashing at my guy friends apartments, & often carried my TP 🧻in my backpack... in retrospect I wish I had my own pillowcase (& face towel) because I swear I got a pimple every time I slept at my one friends place😩 5. EXTRA MEASURES IF YOU HAVE PETS I let all my animals in my bed I can’t help it but try to keep em off the pillows! 6. SANITIZE YOUR STUFF I always have alcohol pads on hand! These are great for spatulas & tools. 7. +SURFACES Light switches, handles etc. 8. WASH MAKEUP BRUSHES Properly cleaning your makeup brushes frequently is so crucial for clear skin!

Hygiene for fighting Acne pt2🦄
Let’s put our acne products aside for one moment, I really only noticed clearer skin when I totally upped my hygiene levels with my face in mind. 😷An extra tip we all could use this year is either replacing your face mask everyday or properly sanitizing it if it is reusable. At this point in time, it’s more important than ever, & it seems like they’re stocked well again... Having extras will hopefully not leave you in a pinch where you would wear a dirty mask. The close contact your mask has with your face leaves to more opportunity for acne-causing bacteria to spread around your face, especially after long durations of time. 🎃💀🦴I did a lil Halloween themed post called “Haunted Hygiene” recently, but felt like I couldn’t fit all my extra specific tips into the character limit😝 In that post I go over the baby basics, like washing your hands often, big duh, but many of us touch our faces a lot throughout the day even if we don’t realize it! TRULY - Hand Sanitizer Germ Killin' Gel $6/1 oz This guy is pretty liquidy, something to be mindful of. It’s a little difficult for me to use for that reason, it smells just like alcohol & is honestly quite drying. Oh well. 🧴In addition to keeping hands clean & disinfected... (hand sanitizers should never replace antibacterial hand soap, but always good to have on hand in public!) 🦠I think my most important rule is the face towel changing. (change your pillowcases 1-2x a week, see the Haunted Hygiene post for why you definitely should!) TRULY - "Pour le Visage" Face Towel $15 each These are so soft & plush! 100% cotton. 💝After one wash it was actually fluffier & softer, gotta love that. My skin is very sensitive to textures due to my neurological disease, this was a lovely treat for myself & my face that I don’t regret🌈🙂 🦠You don’t want to cleanse, exfoliate & all that cute stuff, just to dry your face with a dirty old towel! 🧺 I got 4 of these because I usually do laundry 2x a week. This way I can have a clean face towel everyday. There are tons of inexpensive options, so just make sure you have a clean one everyday! I promise it’s helpful. ⚠️ Also consider what laundry detergent you use, it could be irritating your skin, not allowing you to see the progress you want from your skincare routine. 🏴☠️You’re gonna have to get selfish— this is your face towel & no one else’s... not even to dry their hands one time, nope! Tell em, I’m on a mf skincare journey & you’re f***ing me up! This will help you isolate the issues in your skin faster. 🦠🧴Keep products & tools sanitized! Never dip dirty hands into products & don’t let droppers & other application mechanisms actually touch your face. If you don’t have a spatula for certain products, a Q-tip works in a bind. If you use spatulas, make sure to sanitize those too! TRULY - Mini Gold Spoon + Satin Pouch $5 each Really helpful for Truly products. Strong/well made/cute
$tock🆙 & 🆕 Reviews to come!
Trying to organize a little bit... My sink top is usually a bit cluttered, so let’s talk about the cabinet! Just like a cute little skincare closet🤎 I’m not usually one to stock up, but between moving to a rural area, quarantine & some gifts, it happened. I have some friends that hoard their favorites when there’s a sale or fear of apocalypse.... Apocalypse aside, I really don’t recommend “stocking up” Running out of a crucial product sucks, but overstocking can be problematic. I acquired more treatments than I know what to do with lol, & if they stay locked away I’ll never remember to try them! Another big issue is expiration dates as well as ingredients/actives that are sensitive to light, heat or humidity. Products with organic ingredients/products free of preservatives will definitely be sensitive to these elements. Some actives, like vitamin C are notoriously unstable, loosing some of their stability & potency over time. If not stored in cool, dark & dry conditions, it can speed up oxidation, causing the degradation of the molecule. This can lead to simply a waste of money or serious skin irritation! I recommend keeping any vitamin C products out of the sun, especially if they have a clear bottle. A few favorites I have back ups of: (check previous posts for full reviews) HERBIVORE - Amethyst Body Scrub With Epsom Salt the best jasmine scented body scrub💜 giovanni - D:Tox System Purifying Facial Mask charcoal & volcanic ash mask🌋 TONYMOLY - 62% Alcohol Aloe Hand Gel candy pear scented hand sanitizer🍐 SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream a super luxurious Niacinamide cream💎 unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule just reviewed this, my new favorite!🌹 A few things I’m really excited to try, & can’t wait to share my experience/review with you guys❤️Drop me some tips in the comments if you’ve tried any of these or have any questions about the others😊 HERBIVORE - Prism Exfoliating Glow Duo TONYMOLY - Strawberry Nose Pack ETUDE - Moistfull Collagen Eye Cream ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Elizabeth Arden - Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum Kaja - Brow Blowout Fiber Gel Brow Definer ALGENIST - ALIVE Prebiotic Balancing Mask NEOGENLAB - Real Vita C Powder Lemon ⬆️ powder Vitamin C is more stable than liquid forms & doesn’t degrade in sunlight as easily. K-Beauty hand sanitizer that smells good! $2.55
🧪This is an FDA approved hand sanitizer with the CDC recommended alcohol levels. 🧫The CDC (center for disease control) recommends the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers with greater than 60% ethyl alcohol or 70% isopropanol as the preferred form of hand hygiene. 🦠This product contains 62% denatured alcohol. 💚촉촉 /chok chok means moist & is used to describe a luminous skin complexion. TONYMOLY - 62% Alcohol Aloe Hand Gel I used to hate hand sanitizer, I’d rather just wash my hands, but that’s not enough in these times! I hate typical hand sanitizer smell... I understand it has to do its job to kill 99% of bacteria, but when that smell lasts... ugh i really hate it. 🍭🍐I love that this smells totally like some body spray at the mall in the early 2000s lol! Fragrant pear candy. The scent wouldn’t be my pick for anything else, but for this it really works. It’s nostalgic for me without being nauseating lol. The scent disappears pretty quickly & it doesn’t really leave it on your hands the way others do. It’s not really that moisturizing, but again this is hand sanitizer. I like that it wasn’t uncomfortably drying & didn’t leave a film or pill on my hands. ⚠️just some things to note... the air bubble in the tube is normal, it’s to prevent spillage when they seal the product, however, be prepared for way more than you need upon first opening & removing the little silver seal inside. Just the nature of the tube, and i thought it wasn’t an issue for me after the first application, but throw it in your bag & if it tumbles around, when you go to apply, it will ooze out making a pretty messy cap. Personal pet peeve. Another thing is the cap... because of the lip, it can collect a lot of dirt & other crap, so just something to be mindful of, as the whole point of hand sanitizer is to sanitize our hands! I’ll clean mine off with an alcohol swab if I have to. 💵This is only $2.55 on ‘Soko Glam’ ( sokoglam.com ) a legit & fast-shipping Korean beauty retailer. It’s $4 at Ulta & a 2 pack is $6 on Tony Moly’s official site. 💌stay safe yall
🕷🐈⬛🕯Friday the 13th & feelin cute!🕯🐈⬛🕷
I try not to be superstitious about a day or a number, but I still find myself thinking about it🤔 🍂It’s really feeling like Fall! Had the first snow of the season the other day, but now it’s just raining a lot🌧 Before I took better care of my skin, I rarely took selfies without makeup on, I just didn’t feel cute. Now I feel cute with a glowing face full of skincare & have kinda ditched makeup (which personally, also helped my skin tremendously!) I felt extra cute today & just wanted to chill & get cozy, but we have guests right now, so I decided to throw on my fav mascara & gloss for fun. ➡️ Everything on my skin, lashes & lips is in the next photo. GIVENCHY - Phenomen’eyes Mascara Is my ultimate favorite mascara! I truly miss the brown shade this used to come in, but that’s just me, loved it for my lashes (& brows when I was lazy) The brown shade was not great for every look, but it was so soft & natural looking. This black shade is your basic, classic black, I’m just so in love with the formula & applicator. 🏰The comb reminds me of that medieval spikey ball weapon thing. Love it. It makes it super easy for me to control where I’m applying, & keep it light, feathery & clump-free (my personal preference for an everyday mascara look) I love how i can just sort of “kiss” my lashes with this product, especially the bottom line, so effectively. ✔️You can definitely get a more dramatic effect with this mascara if that’s what you’re going for! 🖤The thing I love most is how the formula really holds my curl throughout the day! My tricks for lashes is start with a great curler. This will be different for everyone, because we all have different eye shapes. My eyes are not deep set at all. My lashes aren’t particularly long, but my lashes sometimes graze the inside of sunglasses for instance... My perfect eyelash curler has a less pronounced curve than most standard American market curlers, which helps get me the perfect curl with no pinching at all! 🛍I also use a FREE spoolie (yes I’m that bitch at Sephora) to comb out any clumps. SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler I also always have these on hand, so I’m never with a cracked/split one, save your eyes from injury & hidden bacteria: SHISEIDO - SHISEIDO Eyelash Curler Pad I wish Sephora carried these! They’re only $6/2 pack-but annoying/wasteful to buy without free shipping-unless I buy tons lol. *i always curl BEFORE mascara! As the mascara is kinda drying I use clean fingers to sort of push them up to curl a bit more & have it hold! ⚠️You may be tempted to use a curler at some point AFTER mascara. Though I did it 1,000x without incident, the one time I pulled out over half my top line was it for me! Proceed with caution. DIOR - Lip Glow Oil So moisturizing & not sticky! Lips look alive & plump!💕 NEST FRAGRANCES - Bamboo Candle 🕯Jasmine/Amber vibes, warm, perfect for Fall🍂
🍇 Limited Edition Caudalíe Grape Water 🍇
This hot pink 6.7 oz beauty is ON SALE right now for $12.60 ( 30% OFF! ) on their American site us.Caudalie.com Normal prices: $18/6.7 oz & $10/2.5 oz This limited edition canister of the cult-popular Caudalíe Grape Water is covered with illustrations inspired by the natural trace elements found in this face mist! ➕Which include Potassium, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium & Copper to naturally moisturize & maintain healthy skin functionality. About Caudalíe 🇫🇷🍷French company Caudalíe started in the early 90s, & their skincare line has always revolved around their all star ingredient: Grapes 🍇! Grape seeds & fruit are full of antioxidants, grape seeds actually contain some of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. Even grape vines can live for 100 years, thanks to the naturally produced Resveratrol that aids the vine's natural defenses & ability to regenerate. Couple & cofounders, Mathilde & Bertrand Thomas were the first to patent this natural active ingredient with firming & antiaging properties. Inspired by byproducts of her family’s winery in Bordeaux, they sought to collaborate with Professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux to develop a line of skincare. They still work together to this day, & their first 3 products are still in production. 🍷Caudalie is a wine term that refers to the unit of measurement for the time the flavors of a wine linger on the palate after tasting it. What is it? (My personal favorite) hydrating face mist extracted from 100 % organic grapes during harvest in France. A long time Caudalíe best seller, this gentle mist moisturizes, soothes & refreshes the skin, while reducing sensitivity. Benefits: •Prebiotic properties: Helps prevent acne & support a healthy skin microbiome. •Moisturizes & tones the skin •Soothes sensitive skin Alcohol & fragrance-free. 100% natural. As with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. CAUDALIE - Limited Edition Grape Water I’ve been using this for years after trying almost every face mist. I’m a major face mist addict & this is perfect for basic hydration anytime, even over makeup. It’s super affordable compared to a lot of mists, fragrance free & has the perfect “fat cap” mister that I’ve only ever found on 2 other mists (Kenzoki Lotus Water, now discontinued & Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist & that’s $90 for less than 2 oz!) This mist also has only 3 ingredients... really only 2, because the nitrogen is just to maintain the aerosol spray feature. 💦It’s so refreshing on hot days—- 🥵or when I need a quick cool down from the heat flareups related to my neurological disorder.🧡 (CRPS) This limited edition canister is super cute! I’m a total science nerd & I love pink— so this hit all the boxes being one of my all-time favorite products period! Best mister, perfectly even & light (so important to me) +great $ for amount!

Yeoth Brand Mist is a total Flop
I'm very drawn to skin care brands that are simple and ingredient focused. Yeoth is definitely that. They attracted me right away with ingredients like retinol and hyaluronic acid. I love mists and sprays and usually I like the more gentle the better. This one has chamomile and alcloxa for acne. And honestly I think its it's all a gimmick. I used this product for so long and felt no benefits. No calming. No moisture. I did an experiment where I just sprayed my face with water, and I swear that did more for me. I ended up mixing in another more moisturizing toner in it so it didn't feel so pointless to use. This brand also doesnt claim to be cruelty free from what I saw. It's tough, I like the looks of their creams, but they are all in tub form. I just don't like dipping my fingers into a container and knowing the product is expiring so quick being exposed to oxygen. So, it's a no from me unfortunately to most of the Yeoth products although I may still consider some of their syrums which seem reasonably priced.
YEOUTH-Balancing Facial Toner
🍄A fabulous Lotion with Various Type Mushrooms
🌱Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Treatment Lotion I absolutely recommend this product, especially for those who has sensitive or acne-prone skin. There're various types of mushroom ingredients in the lotion, including Reishi Mushroom, Sea Buckthorn and Fermented Chaga, to help with reducing redness and skin recovery. I've been using it for few months. The lotion do help to reduce my skin's redness and small pimples on my forehead. After applying, my skin always feel calm and soothing. Of course, it also hydrates skin. It's a liquid and watery lotion, so I use it as a toner always after cleaning my face. And then, I will put on moisturizer. I think this lotion is lightweight enough to be used as a toner. The lotion has herbal scent, which comes from the ingredients themselves. It's not very strong and totally acceptable. I will give it five stars, as it does what it claims.

🌿Soothing Rosemary Toner🌿
Over 2 months ago I posted a sunscreen from Aromatica. I was impressed on the quality of the sunscreen and how it made my skin feel. I then decided to give AROMATICA - Vitalizing Rosemary Decoction Toner a try. Contains: 🌱 Rosemary 🌱 Aloe 🌱 Chamomile 🌱Verbena The above ingredients are listed based on the box. Theres more but these are the ingredients that stood out to me. Rosemary is the 1st ingredient while Aloe is the 2nd ingredient on the list. Meaning the toner is highly concentrated by these two ingredients. The other two fall in the small percentage of concentration. However, combining these ingredients aid in soothing, toning, skin generating, refreshing, purifying, and hydrating the skin. This also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Brand: Aromatica is probably the first clean beauty (since 2004) brand in Korea. It is vegan and cruelty free ( a plus for me). Packaging made out of recycled glass even the cap. In 2016 it became the first Korean brand to be U.S. EWG verified. Experience: After months not using a toner I began using one again. This toner has a pleasant woodsy herb scent, because of the Rosemary it is slightly acidic. It is lightweight and fast absorbent. It was soothing, hydrating and refreshing to my skin. One of my concerns is my oily t-zone and redness, while using it aid in controlling my excess sebum and soothe my skin. Since it is slightly acidic because rosemary has a natural alcohol. I have sensitive skin and the first time using it I felt a tingly sensation but, after a couple of uses I did not feel it anymore. Unless I had a pimple that was irritated then I will feel it. However, the tingly sensation was not irritating where my skin felt a burn in fact, I noticed that it aid in healing and soothing my irritated breakouts. Overall I recommend this for those with less break out. If you have open wound pimples you may feel a slight tingling. Before trying it out give it a patch test to make sure your skin reacts positively to the rosemary. Price: 300ml/ 10 fl. oz - $29 (retail) I purchased mine at style korean for $25 (not affiliated/sponsored) *Based on my skin experience. We may share the same skin type but, our skin reaction is different. Just sharing a product I enjoyed using*
