What I threw in my Hospital bag🏩

nay.nay
Because I have a neurological disease, I have to go to the hospital pretty often & stay for days at a time. There have been times where I had to leave so suddenly or I wasn’t conscious, that I didn’t get to bring any skincare beyond the lip balm in my pocket. In the past I used to just throw every moisturizer sample I had in my backpack, but as you may have guessed, being in a new environment under stress is not the best time to test new products on our skin. So this most recent time I had to be quick, but managed to grab some helpful items... A “hospital skincare” bag will never be perfect, for me it’s about maintaining comfort. You may have noticed I didn’t bring a cleanser, I recommend you bring one if you can with a few of your own face towels (towels in the hospital are so scratchy & have been bleached) Me not bringing a cleanser is just realistic for me because I likely will not be up at a sink... I brought: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O wipes
Biodegradable & free of Silicone, Petroleum products, Sulfates & Alcohol. These are a really nice gentle face wipe. I haven’t used to remove makeup though. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42
Don’t forget to still wear sunscreen even if you’re chillin inside! This has never irritated my eyes, so for me it’s a great option to apply with out a mirror. CAUDALIE - Grape Water
Face mist at the hospital is a must! This is my favorite. Full review is my first post.🍇I would love to bring my travel size but I ran out. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
shade: Gummy Bear 🐻 Great for keeping my lips moisturized under my mask😷& overnight. Full review in previous post. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm
Less important with my mask on, but I highly recommend this mineral sunscreen lip balm with non-nano zinc for all skin tones! Its free of fragrance, parabens & petroleum products& it’s less than $5 SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask
& MAY COOP - Raw Sheet
are two of my favorite sheet masks, check out my full reviews on both in previous posts. Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol
🍵🍃I also bring this calming serum, it’s over 76% green tea leaf water & 2% panthenol (a B5 provitamin) I’ll be doing a full review soon on this & the other 2 serums Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon has to offer. HERBIVORE - Rose Quartz Facial Roller
To relive tension in my face... I give this 4 stars because mine kind of squeaks at me & that’s not super relaxing lol. SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream
A very rich Niacinamide cream I’ve been using. Full review of this K-beauty gem coming soon!💎 Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray
Mainly for some aromatherapy🌹

A struggling month
Since my progress post I’d figure I’d show that even those who have promoted they’ve healed their acne that it may and can be just for a moment, a month or a year and things can change in your life that could eventually alter your skin yet again. During the summer my skin was doing real good except the occasional monthly pimples from my period. However these past 2 months I’ve been breaking out along my jawline, chin, mouth and a little on the cheeks. It’s been pretty frustrating because I felt like I was me again and then boom I’m back to feeling insecure. I am currently testing new products to see a difference and changing/adding supplements and vitamins to help and will hope to update in a few months ! All I can say is that I am unemotional about this round of acne... and I think it helps to have a great support system to keep you positive because at the end of the day we are all beautiful no matter what may appear on our faces 😊 New products: COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Helping with my pores and bringing my acne to surface Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol Soothing my inflammatory acne YEOUTH - Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera Really excited to finally add a retinol and this one is great- not $$$ and absorbs nicely (won’t see full effects until another 2-3 weeks) Apart from that my routine has stayed the same and the rest of my face is pretty clear!

$tock🆙 & 🆕 Reviews to come!
Trying to organize a little bit... My sink top is usually a bit cluttered, so let’s talk about the cabinet! Just like a cute little skincare closet🤎 I’m not usually one to stock up, but between moving to a rural area, quarantine & some gifts, it happened. I have some friends that hoard their favorites when there’s a sale or fear of apocalypse.... Apocalypse aside, I really don’t recommend “stocking up” Running out of a crucial product sucks, but overstocking can be problematic. I acquired more treatments than I know what to do with lol, & if they stay locked away I’ll never remember to try them! Another big issue is expiration dates as well as ingredients/actives that are sensitive to light, heat or humidity. Products with organic ingredients/products free of preservatives will definitely be sensitive to these elements. Some actives, like vitamin C are notoriously unstable, loosing some of their stability & potency over time. If not stored in cool, dark & dry conditions, it can speed up oxidation, causing the degradation of the molecule. This can lead to simply a waste of money or serious skin irritation! I recommend keeping any vitamin C products out of the sun, especially if they have a clear bottle. A few favorites I have back ups of: (check previous posts for full reviews) #HERBIVORE - Amethyst Exfoliating Body Scrub[products]#[FiveStars] the best jasmine scented body scrub💜 giovanni - D:Tox System Purifying Facial Mask charcoal & volcanic ash mask🌋 TONYMOLY - 62% Alcohol Aloe Hand Gel candy pear scented hand sanitizer🍐 SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream a super luxurious Niacinamide cream💎 unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule just reviewed this, my new favorite!🌹 A few things I’m really excited to try, & can’t wait to share my experience/review with you guys❤️Drop me some tips in the comments if you’ve tried any of these or have any questions about the others😊 HERBIVORE - Prism Exfoliating Glow Duo TONYMOLY - Strawberry Nose Pack ETUDE - Moistfull Collagen Eye Cream ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Elizabeth Arden - Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum Kaja - Brow Blowout Fiber Gel Brow Definer ALGENIST - ALIVE Prebiotic Balancing Mask NEOGENLAB - Real Vita C Powder Lemon ⬆️ powder Vitamin C is more stable than liquid forms & doesn’t degrade in sunlight as easily. I look forward to writing these reviews for you! PS💌 a few others in this post... Beauty of Joseon - Dynasty Cream Started using this lightweight Korean Niacinamide gel-cream recently & I love it, full review on its way! $20 for a product that will last you all year
I originally received the travel sized version of this product four years ago and have not looked back since then. Traditional conditioners do not work for me, they weigh down my hair and make it super oily. Though it may feel weird to have tangled dry hair coming out of the shower, this leave-in conditioner fixed all of my problems with frizzy hair. Pros: Easy to apply (3-5 squirts per use) and last me (with shoulder length hair) up to a year. It smells good, mainly like the rosehip that it contains. It makes brushing through tangled hair a breeze. Although I have super oily hair, I can apply this to my roots and not have any issues with excess oil between taking showers. Cons: I need to use a wet brush to be able to detangle my hair after getting out of the shower without using conditioner. I honestly think that this product works better when I air dry my hair as opposed to blow drying it, which is fine for me as I shower before going to bed and do not dry my hair. But if you really like/need to blow dry your hair this may not be the product for you. I say give this leave-in conditioner a shot if you have frizzy hair and are looking for a change.

🍯🧸Don’t Despair, Honey Bear!🪵
I’m a big Briogeo fan! Both me & my bf use a lot of their hair products. I’ve been using them for years, but recently got him more into taking care of his dry/brittle curly hair. I ordered him so many things to try, Olaplex & all kinds of repairing treatments, but Briogeo oils, masks & his personal favorite Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray totally transformed his hair! 🧸I was so excited to see the adorable Honey Bear back in stock! I never got to try it before! I believe this cutie is still limited edition & only available in this set, but I hope I’m wrong, because I will continue to repurchase! Briogeo - Merry Multi-Masking Kit Ft. Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Honey Bear Hair Mask $36/set of 3 hair masks I bought this as a very early xmas gift for both of us...🍯girl I neeeeded that honey bear! This would make a great holiday gift, or to split up as stocking stuffers for your fam! I only knock off a ⭐️because I really wasn’t into one them scent-wise, but that will not be everyone’s experience. 🎁Don’t forget to support black owned brands this holiday season! This giftset includes: One full size 8 oz Honey Bear & two 2 oz tubes 🪵🐻🍯Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Honey Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask This is definitely my favorite. Not just because it’s so freakin cute, but the formula is great! I have thick wavy hair that needs a lot of hydration & moisture. This is it! Smells like real Honey, which is also the 8th ingredient. Honey is an excellent hydrator/natural humectant. The formula also contains moisturizing Argan, Almond, Avocado & Rosehip oils. It also has Apple & Ginseng extracts! I absolutely loved how soft & manageable my hair felt afterwards + my hair smelled so amazing & natural! 🥝🥑Briogeo - Be Gentle, Be Kind Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Superfoods Hair Mask I also loved this formula so much! My hair was so soft afterwards & also smells amazing! Real Kiwi extract (9th ingredient) lends itself to this amazing Kiwi-Strawberry smoothie vibe. Avocado oil is the 8th ingredient. It’s very moisturizing & the color (of all 3) comes from natural sources. This crazy green likely comes from the beneficial Algae, Spinach, Aloe & Turmeric extracts. 🌹🥥Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask This just wasn’t it for me, I believe I’ve tried it a long time ago & I think it was reformulated. You can see in my swatches, that it isn’t quite as thick as the other 2. It started to slide off my arm where the others didn’t budge. Besides simply not performing as well as the others, the smell really bothered me. I’m not opposed to fragrance especially in hair products, but this was very harsh. It could be a personal thing because it made feel like I couldn’t breathe well & kinda sick to my stomach. Has that sort of sharp cut grass smell. It lasted on my hair too.☹️

Cheap mist for Hydration 💙
💗 A while ago I was looking for a mist to add an extra boost of hydration that I could use during my skincare routine AND after, I stumbled along a few but for some reason most were really expensive like the watermelon mist from glow recipe and even the pixi beauty mists were expensive for being a "drugstore brand" but I found this mist that's only $10. When I looked at the ingredients I saw the simple ingredients: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Water, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Juice, and Nitrogen. It is meant to hydrate and desensitize the skin. 💖 Review: This is an amazing mist, it's simple yet effective, it hydrates my skin and has been my savior this past winter (I usually have really dry areas during the winter). The only cons that don't bother me personally but may bother you is that because its a mist it goes beyond your face so I'd use a towel and tie your hair back, It also is sticky for a few minutes but once it absorbs its completely fine. This product is safe for sensitive skin.

🍇 Limited Edition Caudalíe Grape Water 🍇
This hot pink 6.7 oz beauty is ON SALE right now for $12.60 ( 30% OFF! ) on their American site us.Caudalie.com Normal prices: $18/6.7 oz & $10/2.5 oz This limited edition canister of the cult-popular Caudalíe Grape Water is covered with illustrations inspired by the natural trace elements found in this face mist! ➕Which include Potassium, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium & Copper to naturally moisturize & maintain healthy skin functionality. About Caudalíe 🇫🇷🍷French company Caudalíe started in the early 90s, & their skincare line has always revolved around their all star ingredient: Grapes 🍇! Grape seeds & fruit are full of antioxidants, grape seeds actually contain some of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. Even grape vines can live for 100 years, thanks to the naturally produced Resveratrol that aids the vine's natural defenses & ability to regenerate. Couple & cofounders, Mathilde & Bertrand Thomas were the first to patent this natural active ingredient with firming & antiaging properties. Inspired by byproducts of her family’s winery in Bordeaux, they sought to collaborate with Professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux to develop a line of skincare. They still work together to this day, & their first 3 products are still in production. 🍷Caudalie is a wine term that refers to the unit of measurement for the time the flavors of a wine linger on the palate after tasting it. What is it? (My personal favorite) hydrating face mist extracted from 100 % organic grapes during harvest in France. A long time Caudalíe best seller, this gentle mist moisturizes, soothes & refreshes the skin, while reducing sensitivity. Benefits: •Prebiotic properties: Helps prevent acne & support a healthy skin microbiome. •Moisturizes & tones the skin •Soothes sensitive skin Alcohol & fragrance-free. 100% natural. As with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. CAUDALIE - Limited Edition Grape Water I’ve been using this for years after trying almost every face mist. I’m a major face mist addict & this is perfect for basic hydration anytime, even over makeup. It’s super affordable compared to a lot of mists, fragrance free & has the perfect “fat cap” mister that I’ve only ever found on 2 other mists (Kenzoki Lotus Water, now discontinued & Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist & that’s $90 for less than 2 oz!) This mist also has only 3 ingredients... really only 2, because the nitrogen is just to maintain the aerosol spray feature. 💦It’s so refreshing on hot days—- 🥵or when I need a quick cool down from the heat flareups related to my neurological disorder.🧡 (CRPS) This limited edition canister is super cute! I’m a total science nerd & I love pink— so this hit all the boxes being one of my all-time favorite products period! Best mister, perfectly even & light (so important to me) +great $ for amount!

Finally trying Laneige lip mask
Worth the hype? I love lip balm so I really wanted to try the laneige lip mask that I’ve heard so much about it. I wasn’t super pumped about the price. $22 is a lot for a lip balm😂 but I actually found this at TJmaxx for $15 so I decided to pick it up! I used it last night and I absolutely love how the texture feels on my lips. It stays on for a long time and doesn’t soak in right away which I love. I would say the only downside is the price! Is it completely necessary? No, but it is a nice treat and it will last a long time😊 LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

5 for the Season - Fall Favorites 🍁
🌞Yes I know technically fall ended about a week ago (...week ago) and I’ve DEF been slippin on my pimpin but to be fair, there isn’t a huge difference in temperature when it comes to SoCal. That being said, even though the sun is shining and the weather is warm, we still experience a fair amount of dryness with the drop in humidity levels, fire season 🔥, and Santa Ana winds. Fighting dryness and promoting hydration is always my number one goal this time of year. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask theeeee best lip 👄 mask EVER! I only ever purchase the original berry flavor, but this is great at not only conditioning the lips, but also holds a large amount of moisture and hydration on the lips. I’d be interested to hear how the other flavors or “shades” work. Holler at ya girl. - 5.5 Licorice PH Balancing Cleansing Toner I can’t even begin to count exactly how many bottles of this I have gone through. It has become one of the major and nonnegotiable items in my routine. I live in an urban area apartment complex, and unfortunately we have hard water. Hard water can strip your face and throw off your skin’s pH level. No matter what cleanser I’m using, I always feel tight and dry. 🌵 I wipe this on my face, neck, and décolleté area. Not only does this balance the pH level and hydrate my skin, but the licorice root is AMAZING when it comes to preventing dark spots and healing acne scars. I scar SO easily and this, coupled with my vitamin C, has helped my acne marks heal twice as fast. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream my FAV, no frills moisturizer! I don’t rely on moisturizers for anything other thanmoisture. I leave all treatments to my serums and masks. I always use this as my nighttime moisturizer to lock in my serums, but since it’s colder 🥶(relatively lol) and drier in the fall, I get to save some funds 💵 and I use this day and night. I typically buy the mini because it’s in a squeeze tube and I’m extremely paranoid about dipping my fingers in tubs of products (hello bacteria 🦠.) Since I recently found a set of adorable silver and gold metal spoons made for cosmetics I finally purchased the big tub. So much bang for your buck! MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist 💕 💕 💕 this is by far my favorite setting spray. I always try new ones when they come out, and I always run back to MAC. In the summer I alternate between setting spray and setting powder (you do not need both!!!) but once the dry weather of fall hits 🍂 I won’t let setting powder touch my face and I rely solely on Fix+ since setting powder tends to be much more drying. Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil the most underrated product. I continued using this after I had my son for fall and winter dry skin. I wear at night under my body lotion and on days when I shave 🪒, I use this like an aftershave right after I get out of the shower.

🇰🇷 Korean Sheet Mask Mania! ♥️
This year I’ve rekindled my love for Korean sheet masks. I grew up in San Francisco, buying Japanese & Korean imports before they were widely available online. My 2 favorite online shops for Korean beauty are: Peach & Lily ( peachandlily.com ) & Soko Glam ( sokoglam.com ) Both sites are curated by estheticians who have also launched their own brands. Alicia Yoon, the curator of Peach & Lily, also created their eponymous skincare line, & sister-line, ‘Peach Slices’. Charlotte Cho, the creator of Soko Glam, is also a skincare author & founded the brand, ‘Then I Met You’ in 2018. 💙I love that I can read full ingredient lists & directions in english on both of these sites for every single product. This is super important to know exactly what’s in your purchase & how to use the products. Most sheet masks are a 20 minute thing, but it would be very important to know otherwise... Both sites are super reliable, ship fast & carry some of my favorite Korean brands... Peach & Lily carries Shangpree & May Coop, while Soko Glam carries Beauty of Joseon, my favorite lip balm by unpa cosmetics, as well as many other popular brands like Cosrx, Missha, Banila & Co.(also @ p&L🍑),Etude House, A’pieu, Tony Moly, Neogen & more. I’ve only tried 2 of the masks pictured, but I’ve tried them more than once & liked them enough to repurchase. I can’t wait to share more reviews on all these babies with you guys! It’s good to have a bunch of different ones on hand depending on what your skin needs... So I’m hoping to build a solid arsenal of sheet masks by the time I’m done testing all of these! SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask $6 🦪Amazing! My current fave💗It’s full of marine extracts like oyster, pearl, plankton, several types of algae, & Sodium Hyaluronate. Shangpree Marine Jewel nourishing mask🌊🦪💎
Shangpree Marine Jewel nourishing mask $6/one mask A sheet mask with marine extracts to combat signs of aging, like fine lines, dehydration, dullness & lack of firmness. 🌊I made slides about the beneficial marine extracts like oyster, pearl, plankton, sea water, sea whip & 4 different types of nourishing algae! A bit about the brand: Seoul’s spa-going elite have been flocking to the iconic Shangpree Spa for a first-class beauty experience for over 25 years. When Shangpree launched their product line, that same level of perfectionism was executed in their formulas. Dr. Wol-Hee is Shangpree’s research & development director. A well known name in academic circles, Dr. Wol-Hee holds a Ph.D in cell biology & is considered one of Korea’s most revered estheticians. She was actually given the authority by the Korean government to create Korea’s premier esthetician license exam, & she selects the top esthetician every year to represent Korea in international facial competitions. SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask I truly enjoyed the experience of this sheet mask, as well as the effects💕 I’ve been interested in marine extracts recently, & this was my first time trying products from Shangpree... First off I loved the application process, it was super easy to unfold & apply because of the stiffer pink layer. The mask itself is delicate & thin in the best of ways. I would highly recommend this for a flight or travel (in the future obviously) I left it on for about 40 minutes & I live at a high elevation & it was wonderful. The instructions (& ingredients which I obtained in english from Peach & Lily) say to leave on for 10-20 minutes. The serum is light & silky, the mask was very comfortable to wear & lightweight. This is fragranced, but it dissipated quite quickly & did not irritate my skin. In fact I was very impressed by how glowy, illuminated & even my skin looked afterwards! I added a photo😝✨ The scent is a rich floral that kind of also reminds me of the smell of the Hello Kitty store?🤷🏻‍♀️ I will definitely purchase this again. I got it at peachandlily.com , they sell curated skincare products from Korea & always provide directions & ingredients in english on their site, which is super helpful since the products will likely arrive with all Korean writing on the package. So I try to remember to take screen shots of the products I choose so I can figure out what’s what💗They also ship super fast! 📦💨

🍁Trying May Coop ‘Raw Sheet’ mask🍁
May Coop Raw Sheet $6 Korean skincare brand May Coop builds all its products around a single ingredient: Maple sap. This ingredient is really special because it’s molecular size is the same as our skin particles. This allows the beneficial ingredients to be more readily absorbed & boots the effectiveness of your moisturizing routine. 🍁This unbleached cotton sheet mask is coated in a lush serum with it’s first ingredient as Sugar Maple sap. Claims: Younger skin in 20 minutes. Read my last post for a full review of ‘Raw Sauce’ & more information on all things maple! But the botanicals in this sheet mask differ a bit from the cult iconic essence. I almost ran out of room making ingredient slides for this one! It contains a lot of the same beneficial ingredients as ‘Raw Sauce’ like Panthenol & Arginine, but with even more diverse botanical extracts. MAY COOP - Raw Sheet The fit is pretty good. I don’t criticize a sheet mask too much for fit because a pair of scissors can fix most things. I would probably cut the upper lip area next time for my own comfort. This mask was wonderful. Sooo easy to apply because of this thin plasticy layer thing that lines the mask, loved that! There’s a lot of extra serum in the bag as with most sheet masks... don’t waste it! I use on my neck, chest & back🤎 This was some next level hydration. So much so, that I felt such a difference around my nose & eyes where the mask did not touch. I will probably augment my fit to the nose & eyes next time, because I truly enjoyed the experience not to mention amazing hydration & energized looking skin!🧡 For those familiar with the Raw Sauce essence, this is a bit thicker in consistency, & the smell is stronger. I really liked it, it’s a deeper more robust version of the original scent, kind of like bamboo flower🎋which coincidentally is one of the botanical extracts. I truly look forward to another one🍁

Lip balms I rated 4-5⭐️Which would I repurchase?
🤷🏻‍♀️I think I can be a generous reviewer at times...though I try to be as thorough as I can with product description & personal experience, sometimes it’s still difficult to choose how many ⭐️s to rate a product. I try to use x for a while before reviewing, but I’ll admit, I do get excited about something new sometimes, so I’ll do what I label: a ‘First Impressions’ review. I stand behind all of my reviews, it’s just me & my products, no PR or anything. However, when I feel like my opinion of a product greatly changes after time, ima let you guys know! 💄So this brings me to a first of a kind post for me... I’m a real lip balm addict, definitely one of my favorite products to try. Unless I absolutely hate it, I’ll empty every one to the last application lol. Why waste it since I use it so often in my dry climate🏔 ⛄️All these babies are on empty (+1 more in the next slide I forgot about & in all honesty, I already ate the cookie) 🏁So I’ll share how I feel about them now & which one I would repurchase (a couple I already have!) Full review of each in previous posts. ➕Let’s start with the positives! Rating went up: ALGENIST - Genius Liquid Collagen Lip Old rating: 4⭐️$35/.34 oz I used this for 6 weeks before a review due to the nature of the product. Though they claim it can work in 10 days, I wanted to give it a fighting chance. I had rated this 4⭐️ because I loved everything about it, but no my lips did not get bigger. (extensive before/after pics in my old review) So it will not change lip size, but hear me out... This has been a phenomenally effective lip serum, I don’t think I can give it up now! When my lips are super dry, this is what I reach for. The formula & ceramic applicator are cooling, but even in this cold weather I looove it. You massage lips & they become alive & healthy looking! Layer a balm over once the formula soaks in- think of it as a lip serum💕So yes, though $ I will repurchase, large amount-it’s lasted 5+ months! Stayed the same: ARMANI beauty - Neo Nude Ecstasy Balm $34/.1 oz 001 Sooo luxurious & silky with Caper oil as a moisturizer. I have repurchased here & there, but due to the $, can’t make it a regular thing. unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule $9/.35 oz New ultimate fav! Already repurchased & got 1 for my bf! sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm $5/.15 oz Nothin fancy, but my go-to lip balm w/SPF. Great ingredients & price. Definite repurchase! ...went down: UZ - 38°C/99°F LIP TREATMENT Old rating: 4⭐️$20/.21 oz ±0 This treatment balm has very hefty claims; one being “you won’t need lip balm again” The tube is beautiful, but due to its shape, you can’t get any product on the applicator after a bit, texture is too thick. TRULY - Unicorn Fruit Lip Plumping Balm Old rating: 5⭐️$14/1 oz The 1 oz jar is a lot, but the moisture won’t last & if it melts it’s🗑

Quick Lip Balm Roundup💫
💗 In order of favorite to didn’t like 😩 For more info/ingredients, check out my full reviews of almost all of these on my page😉💗 unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule $9 🇰🇷 My absolute favorite! Super hydrating & moisturizing with 3 forms of hyaluronic acid & Ceramides. Soft buttery rose scent🌹I can’t recommend this enough. The price tag isn’t even that bad considering you get twice as much product as a typical chapstick style tube lip balm. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm $5 🇺🇸 My current go-to lip balm with sunscreen (Zinc/mineral) So moisturizing & nourishing for an SPF lip balm! Almond oil, Jojoba seed oil & Shea butter are the first 3 ingredients, & Argan oil comes in 6th. Barely there almond scent. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask $22 🇰🇷 Scent: Gummy Bear I love this indulgent balm even during the day. Not always in the mood for the grape candy scent though🐻🍇 LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm $17 🇰🇷 Scent: Gummy Bear A superb lipgloss-effect lip balm. Very moisturizing but not sticky. Scent isn’t as strong as the sleeping mask. UZ - 38°C/99°F LIP TREATMENT $25 🇯🇵 Shade: ±0 A very thick fragrance free repair balm with prebiotic properties. It’s currently the best selling lip treatment in Japan, but I didn’t feel it was new holy grail. clé de peau BEAUTÉ - UV Protective Lip Treatment Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $65 🇯🇵 A very overpriced chemical sunscreen lip balm that didn’t offer any lasting hydration, but rather made my lips dry & cracked. ChapStick - Moisturizer Original $1-$3 🇺🇸 I used this for years as my SPF lip balm, but it never really “worked” & I would apply it constantly! I stopped using products with petroleum/petroleum derivatives. I find that lip balms with Petrolatum (Vaseline) as the first ingredient/main emollient (moisturizer) just don’t work for me. Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve in a Tube $7 🇺🇸 🥀This is another Petrolatum lip balm that somehow makes its way into “Clean Beauty” at Sephora, but I feel this lip balm is too thin & slippery, & it just doesn’t offer any lasting moisture at all! My lips crave more when I apply this, making it a mess. Being the lip balm addict I am, I had to purchase this from the boutique I was working at last year one day during a shift when I forgot my chapstick. It was the only lip balm we sold😩 💗PLEASE DROP YOUR FAVORITE LIP BALM IN THE COMMENTS, I MUST KNOOOOOO !!!! ( or share one u hate so we can avoid it & save our $ lol)

⛅️End of Summer SPF roundup! Face & body🧴
Just because Summer is coming to an end, your love affair with daily UV protection never should. These are the sunscreens I tried this year that I wanted to share with you guys. 🌤An obvious disclaimer: my skin is very pale & I can’t totally predict how these products will blend into deep skin tones regarding “white cast” (the washing out effect that zinc based sunscreens can have) But I tried my best to give an idea of the texture before & after blending/absorbing, check out the slides🤍 KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 Texture: creamy & moisturizing Finish: very dewy/shiny SPF: 32 Type: Zinc Oxide 22.4% I did a thorough review of this probiotic moisturizing sunscreen in a previous post, it’s very detailed⚡️ Has a light natural vanilla-oatmeal scent & a slight beige tint. I love this one for being so moisturizing & comfortable to wear, but the finish is quite dewy, so I feel I need powder over this to wear it in public. sun bum - Mineral Face Lotion SPF 30 Texture: creamy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 30 Type: Titanium Dioxide 5.3% /Zinc Oxide 2.4% This is such a great inexpensive option for a matte, mineral sunscreen that leaves very minimal white cast. The cast is slightly blue, though it blends away on my skin, this could be problematic for darker tones. The texture is so creamy yet very lightweight, it reminds me of makeup primer. It’s quite moisturizing, has no scent & is the most matte out of the 3. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Texture: liquidy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 42 Type: Zinc Oxide 12.5% /Octinoxate 4.9% /Octocrylene 3% This has been my go-to for years. It’s a combination of mineral & chemical sunscreens, & is oil free. You have to shake the contents really well first, but it has a little shaker ball inside to help. I love the texture of this, really light & absorbs well without being overly matte. I do always need moisturizer on under this though. The white cast is really minimal even with reapplication, & it’s never irritated my dry skin. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Spray SPF 45 Texture: lightweight liquid aerosol Finish: satin/semi sheen SPF: 45 Type: Homosalate 15% /Oxybenzone 6% /Octisalate 5% /Avobenzone 3% /Octocrylene 2.35% Honestly this makes my skin feel itchy & tight after applying, even after I moisturize. I’ve been steering away from purely chemical sunscreen formulas like this, but chemical sunscreens do work better for sone people. I wouldn’t recommend for dry or sensitive skin. sun bum - Mineral Continuous Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 Texture: creamy, medium weight aerosol Finish: velvet matte SPF: 30 Type: Zinc Oxide 14% Has a sort of tropical scent & feels good on the skin. Though some white cast, it’s not the ‘blue’ tint the face lotion has. Full review in a previous post.

Current lil daytime routine⛅️🥱🍓💦🌹✨
I’m always trying new things & samples, but this is my basic routine for the AM🧡 Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments! I use the products in the following order: fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash My favorite exfoliating cleanser! There’s a full review in a previous post if you wanna check it out🍓 DIOR - Hydra Life Balancing Hydration 2 in 1 Sorbet Water A great toner I reviewed in my last post. Sulwhasoo - First Care Activating Serum I did a first impressions review of this not too long ago... I am still totally loving it. I now crave the fresh herbaceous scent that I wasn’t sure about at first. I find this to be working really well with my skin, always calming & soothing. I still feel like I haven’t been using it long enough (less than a month) to speak on anti aging benefits. Expect a more thorough review in the future, but I can solidly say I love this Hanbang (traditional Korean herbal medicine) skincare product. fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer 🌹I’ve used this for a while, but I’m on the lookout for something new. This moisturizer leaves skin pretty shiny but I love the way it feels. Cooling & refreshing, with a pretty strong rose scent. I may be having a slight reaction to it when I apply it though. I noticed it makes my light warm toned skin very pink right after, only for a little bit, but it doesn’t happen when I rub in other products, so it’s not physical. I read a review with a customer experiencing the same issue chalking it up to the rose extract. I have always loved rose extract & don’t recall having issues before... just something to consider. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 I’ve used this face sunscreen for years. There are some better options perhaps... now that I want to switch over to fully mineral sunscreen (this has zinc, but also chemical sunscreen.) Nonetheless this has always kept me from being burnt, never irritated my eyes (initially what landed me on this particular sunscreen because everything else I tried hurt my eyes at some point) I like shaking it up, the thin texture is easy to apply & leaves a matte finish. I actually feel like this has helped clear up my skin at times, I recommend for acne sufferers. Has a tiny bit of a white cast, but not bad at all. ARMANI beauty - Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer I apply this to my cheeks for a very angelic & natural glow over my sunscreen☁️💗( I use shade : 08) clé de peau BEAUTÉ - UV Protective Lip Treatment Broad Spectrum SPF 30 I did a full review on this recently... I wasn’t impressed for $65 LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm 💜this gummy bear scented lip balm! See full review🐻🍭 SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler Less of a curve than most, my holy grail

$32 rose water mist- worth it or?? 🌹🥀
$32 rose water mist- worth it or?? 🌹🥀
I got this spray in an Herbivore travel set. It is super cute and looks great on my shelf, and I love the glass packaging as well. However, I do not think it is worth the $32 for the full size. It smells very nice and the mist is very gentle, but I do not see what makes this different from any other rosewater spray I’ve used. It’s cute, but that’s about it! I will definitely be saving the packaging though, I love how they me their packaging more sustainable.

Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist
HERBIVORE-Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist
☀️Sunburn Mist
☀️Sunburn Mist
I got this beach spray twice once in a FFF box and the last time in a Causebox. Unfortunately on the bottle there was no ingredient list or Instructions on how to use. I did a little research The company that creates the beach mist is called lyfe style they’re based out of Los Angeles, Ca. They create Products that are 💯 Natural, that contain no sulfates, paraben, and are 🌱 Vegan. Claims~ Hydrates & soothes sundrenched skin. Key Ingredients~ Peppermint Oil~is a natural cooling agent. It provides relief to tender sunburns with a cooling sensation. Aloe~ Helps reduces UV-induced erythema, the lobster-red rash that pops up when you've been in the sun too long. (💡Tip~get pure aloe Vera gel, use a ice cube tray fill to the line with gel and freeze it. The frozen gel cubes feel feel amazing on sunburnt skin.) Lavender~With its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, lavender can speed up the healing process, allowing your body to recover faster. Chamomile~ Has properties that will help soothe a sunburn. (💡Tip add a few drops of chamomile essential oil to a cool bath to help soothe sunburn) Cucumber~ The cooling And anti-inflammatory effects of cucumbers may Helps ease the pain and irration from sunburn. Scent~ With all those wonderful scented oils added I was suprised that there was a scent. How To Use~ Spray on clean, dry skin. 💡Tip~ Store in the Fridge for a cooling effect. 💭 My Thoughts~ I used the first bottle several times on sun burns that I had received on my arms and legs. It did help soothe the burning sensation but I didn’t notice any reduction in redness. It was refreshing and did hydrate my skin a little. My husband used the rest, he works outside and I cannot get him to wear sunscreen. He said the same thing, it did helped calm the burning sensation but didn’t hydrate as well as it claimed. I also thought for the price tag of $42.00 that the packaging would be better Quality. I was disappointed When the spray nozzle on the first bottle stop working half way through. I had to use a different spray bottle I had to finish out the mist. I wouldn’t purchase this or recommend it. I think there are several products on the market that work better for sunburns than this most. 1/5 ⭐️

Some good products 👏

⭐️Cosrx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream: My favorite cream ATM. Extremely hydrating. It's great for winter/fall, I've now switched it out for a gel cream for the hotter months. COSRX - Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream ⭐️First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: A solid moisturizer. Doesn't feel heavy but is a very good moisturizer when my skin is acting out. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration ⭐️Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Air Dry Creme: Love how this hair cream amplifies my hair's natural texture. It enhances the waves while imparting a nice scent. I apply this to my damp hair and comb through. KRISTIN ESS - Weightless Shine Air Dry Crème ⭐️Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack: This looks beautiful on the lips, like a thick, wet gloss, but doesn't actually do too much for my lips. I have other lip masks I prefer. KLAVUU - Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack ⭐️Versed Day Dissolved Cleansing Balm: This gets the job done, but if you use too little water it creates a strange almost gummy texture. It wasn't my favorite cleansing balm. VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm ⭐️Boscia Vegan Collagen Booster Serum: I love this serum, it's a great texture and the packaging is an airless pump which keeps it sanitary, fresh, plus looks super cute. This is a product that you don't see immediate results with but I like mixing it with my strong LAA products. boscia - Vegan Collagen Booster Serum ⭐️Tatcha Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream: This is a super thick eye cream. It's great for winter and colder months or for anyone with super dry under eyes. I don't use it too often but it does give a nice glow to the undereye area.TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream ⭐️Kristin Ess Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray: I love this spray. It's meant to be used on dry hair. It's like a texture spray but it also enhances my natural waves. A little goes a long way so this will last me a while. KRISTIN ESS - Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray 🤍Let me know if you have questions about any of these products! ⬇️

Does the Caudalie Grape Water do anything?
Does the Caudalie Grape Water do anything?
🍇 I’ve always been curious about this spray can of water that everyone was always raving about. When I worked at Sephora we could not keep these things on the shelf and I never understood. However, I recently went on a birthday trip to Palm Springs during a heat wave (it was 116 degrees) and I caved. I bought the $20 can of water. Because it was hot and I wanted to spray it on my face. 🍇 So what is it? The ingredients list on this is really really minimal...just grape water and grape juice (specifically vitis vinifera or the grapes used for making wine) while these grapes are rich in polysaccharides and antioxidants, grape water is not the most concentrated medium for delivering those antioxidants to the skin (grape extract or grapeseed oil would be more potent). 🍇 How does it feel? It’s not as refreshing as I had hoped it kind of just feels like spraying canned water on my face buuuut I do think this helps throughout the day if my face is feeling dry or if my makeup needs a little refresh. And I do feel it gives me a little bit of a glow. 🍇 So is it worth the hype? I don’t think I would buy it again. It’s not terrible and I like the mister but I think there’s much more effective face mists out there.

Healthy hydration plus a (slig
Healthy hydration plus a (slightly) embarrassing incident? 😯 Hands up anyone who has ever bought a product because it looked great, without fully checking its ingredients or reading the box..? 🙋‍♀️ While I do generally reign in my enthusiasm while product shopping, I have to say I am occasionally guilty of this, and so it went with my recent purchase of the farmacy honey potion. First up, let me just say that I really like this mask and what follows isn’t a criticism of it- more of a reminder to myself to actually read the back of the box the next time a product arrives. Because as it turns out, basically everyone but me knew this product is self-heating on contact with the skin- something which I would normally really enjoy. The thing is though that it’s almost 40 degrees in the middle of the day at the moment here, and-having completely neglected to read the box when it arrived- I can only say that it came as something of a surprise when I first applied this- straight after a bath (yes I know- I just felt like one) on a hot evening. My initial- completely unresearched- expectation that this would be one of those cooling masks was quickly proved wrong as a warm sensation slowly spread across my face, leaving me roughly hotter than a thousand suns and bewilderedly wondering why beads of sweat were starting to form on my upper lip… The long build-up to this product review isn’t at all to say because I don’t like this mask…I just thought that sharing the image of me red-faced and feeling foolish might be enough to make me remember to read the package next time. Because as it turns out, when I use this mask when my body temperature isn’t lava-hot, this product is a total delight. On application its (gentle) self-heating action is accompanied by a change in texture- with the honey-like formula turning from golden to white after massaging in. The initial warmth also subsides within minutes, leaving a gel-type formula behind. After washing off, the result of the softening glycerin, honey, propolis and allantoin (from the roots of a shrub) in this mask is skin that is hydrated and comfortable, as well as a subtle glow.

My holy grail lip products
My holy grail lip products
ALGENIST - Genius Liquid Collagen Lip It's a vegan collagen moisturizing lip treatment that restores the lip fullness and contours for youthful-looking lips in 10 days. It still doesn't run out and I already bought a new one 😂😂. This product has positive but also negative reviews, where they say it doesn’t work 😟. In my experience it works! Unfortunately I don't take the precaution of taking a photo before I start using it ☹️. But I have one from November of last year (15 days after start using it) and one from February of this year where you can see a change 👏🏻. I've struggled for years with dry lips and this product was my salvation. I use it in the morning and at night. Apply on the lips with the tip and then using the opposite side massage the bottom of the lip from side to side. 💡 Tip: I read this in a review on sephora and it gave me excellent results. PM: after putting it on, apply a night lip mask (I use LANEIGE - Kiss Me at Midnight ). AM: after putting it on, apply a heavy lip balm like BITE - Agave Lip Mask (I have the old version, and it works very well for me). But you can use it with lipstick, gloss or a regular lip balm. In my experience the lips last longer hydrated with Bite lip mask.
