pre + post Halloween-Makeup skincare routine
Hi!! With halloween around the corner and face paints and heavy makeup inevitable, I wanted to share some products that I think would be helpful to making sure your skin stays safe and protected under makeup, and things to do post makeup to minimize irritation and acne. Besides your normal routine, here are some things you can add! Obviously I don’t suggest adding all these things in one day, but if you have some of these and you know they work for you, try it out! My skin type: sensitive, acne-prone, rosacea, combo My skin concern: redness, hyperpigmentation Pre Halloween Skincare: + FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

SNP PREP - Cicaronic Set
Hi my beauties😇 Today we are going to talk about.. 🌱SNP PREP KOREA🌱 (S)cience, (N)ature and (P)urity. SNP recently sent me their Cicaronic Skin Care Set so I wanted to make a quick review. ————————————— I struggle with sensitive/acne-prone/combo to dry skin (annoying, I know) but lately I am LOVING the ingredient Centella Asiatica Extract, which is the main ingredient used in this collection. This works fantastic for my skin. It calms down the redness caused by my acne tremendously and makes my overall complexion look so much better. 1. Cicaronic SOS 7-Day Ampoule: This is AMAZING, I honestly fell in love after the first use. It’s so lightweight BUT still SO hydrating. I put this on right before my COSRX moisturizer and loved the way it feels. It’s not irritating at all, and made my skin look and feel more plump. BUT fragrance is listed pretty high on the ingredient list. I don’t particularly mind fragrance but as long as it’s one of the last few on the list. I used about 5 ampoules already and since I only have 2 more left I will finish it. 2. Cicaronic Soothing Cream: I enjoyed this cream but I did not use it to much only because I am stuck on my COSRX moisturizer at the moment. I did like the way it felt on my skin, it’s a lovely texture and left my skin feeling super hydrated throughout the day. I also love that it contains Jojoba oil. But I will not continue use because fragrance is also listed high on the ingredient list and I can only handle using so much fragrance on my face at once. 3. Cicaronic Toning Essence: I only used this once or twice. This saddens me now at this point not because it didn’t work well but just like every other product, fragrance is high on the list. Like I said I don’t mind fragrance but not too much fragrance. Regardless of the ampoules containing a lot of fragrance, I am impressed with how it made my skin look and feel after each use. If I ever intend to re-purchase, it would be the ampoules only. I also received the Cicaronic Daily Mask. I have not used it yet but will try soon. *PR Sample but opinion always my own

Is Farmacy Really Farm Fresh?? 🌾
Me: dry-combo, currently acne prone, sensitive or very sensitive For my first dive into Farmacy products, I purchased the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit so that I could try a variety of their bestsellers. Overall, a good tester kit for your money with adequately sized samples! (Much bigger than the Glow Recipe sample sizes.) From favorite to least favorite: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This was my first ever cleansing balm and I fell in love 😍 Your skin feels so smooth and moisturized afterwards. As a dry skin person I often used this as a single cleanse and didn’t notice any breakouts. I knocked off a star because it contains fragrance.... but actually I LOVE the smell... I just worry about my sensitive skin. The next balm I’m trying out is the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This was a nice lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t like the smell quite as much as the balm but it was fine. It did leave a bit of a shiny sticky residue for me but that went away when i added oil on top. Overall, not enough moisture for my skin right now, but I could see myself loving it in the summer! The next lightweight moisturizer I am trying is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I wanted to love this one, and about half the time I loved it, but about half the time I HATED it. When it was good, it made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated, and brightened. When it was bad, it BURNED my skin, horribly at times. I guess it depends on how my skin barrier is doing? Probably not a repurchase since it was so unpredictable on my sensitive skin. I love honey and would love to hear thoughts on other honey masks to try! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry My least favorite of the group, this one was just too sticky for me. I also didnt like the smell... it was almost sour smelling? Idk, just not for me. I’m now trying the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumfor my next vitamin C product. I also now purchased FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry and it is too soon for a full review but right now I am liking it a lot! It is not sticky, and does not have the funny smell of the serum. What do you guys think?? What Farmacy products should I try next? I’m eyeing the FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizeror the FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerand the FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serumand maybe the FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papaya!! Let me know what you think!
My experiences with Farmacy
I’d like to talk about two recent additions to my skin care routine. These are both good clean products and I recommend them, but I don’t plan to repurchase. First, I’ve tried FARMACY - BEE CLEAN It was recommended to me by a sales person at Sephora. This cleanser is great, but I think it’s a little too stripping for my dry blemish prone skin. I’ve been trying to overcompensate with other hydrating products, but my skin has felt a little rough. I think this is a great cleanser for combination skin or oily skin, but if it’s on the dry side, find something else. To try and bring some much-needed hydration into my skin, I’ve also been trying the FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I think it’s pretty pricey for what you get, and I just didn’t get the skin softening effects I was hoping for. It’s not the miracle product I was hoping for, but it is a nice warming treatment and again, I’d recommend it for combination skin or oily skin. I did discover a new serum that’s been giving oh skin more glow and hydration. I will post about it next time. Thanks for reading!
Acne spot treatment that im loving
This clay mask is so simple and straightforward. All you need to do is mix a teaspoonful with a little bit of water. With my hormonal acne, i get atleast 1-2 breakouts every couple of weeks. I use this as a spot treatment every time i feel a bump and it helps calm it down by drawing toxins out. Made with organic essential oil of basil and activated charcoal, it leaves my skin feeling detoxified when i use it as a face mask. It’s so easy to apply and it washes off very quickly. I make sure i moisturize afterward with my usual and i don’t notice any extra drying at all. This is $24 for 60ml on ulta and i believe this would last a while for little goes a long way. Would totally recommend. *product gifted by brand via octolyPLANT APOTHECARY - Not A Spot Acne Treatment Mask
NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
Naturium and Farmacy were both gifted in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone sensitive skin at the moment. For full review on Farmacy’s BHA, check out my page. Here’s a comparison to Naturium’s new BHA ($20/4 oz) and which one I prefer! I have been using Naturium for nearly two weeks. The product is marketed toward all skin types, and claims to do exactly what a BHA does: exfoliates/clears pores, even tone, and smooth fine lines. My experience with this product so far is nice. It’s a more hydrating product, so my dehydrated skin loves it. It’s also alcohol free, oil free, and fragrance free, making this perfect for sensitive skin. The formula is relatively basic, which isn’t bad at all, considering the price! Since my skin is used to salicylic acid, I’ve used this daily since receiving it with no issues. I love to use SA in the morning after I cleanse, and this is the perfect toner step. If you normally tone after cleansing, I definitely recommend using this. My skin is left feeling balanced and it leaves no residue. My pores are noticeably better and I am less oily overall, thanks to the SA. Comparing this to Farmacy’s: Overall, both formulas work similarly, however for oily skin I am leaning more toward Farmacy. I find myself gravitating toward the formula more because it absorbs quicker, has more added benefits and feels more refreshing on my oily skin. If you prefer using SA at night or have drier skin, Naturium is a great option for the added moisture, plus it is more wallet friendly. I just prefer SA in the am, so I prefer what feels best for me during the day.
Brand spotlight: Neogen
▶️NEOGENLAB - Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea - winner of the 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards and deemed “one of the coolest creations to come out of Korea,” this travel friendly and all in one stick cleanser was formulated with 13 botanical oils to breakdown makeup, sunscreen, and cleanse your skin of all impurities. There are also natural green tea leaves imbedded in the cleansing stick to provide a gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter more even toned skin. I’ve tried stick cleansers in the past and while they were convenient for traveling, they always left a film on my skin and tight afterwards. I had the same reservations about this one but to my surprise, this left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I assume it’s because of the oils in the formula but I really enjoyed using this. It lathers nicely and cleanses my skin of everything. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence - one of my all time favorite essences. This hydrating and brightening essence is formulated with 93% naturally fermented ingredients as well as betaine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, niacinamide, and various amino acids. I forgot how much I loved this essence. Used directly after cleansing, this watery first treatment essence quickly absorbs to restore hydration and prep my skin for the remainder of my routine without any stickiness. There’s also the plumping effect that this gives after 1-2 skins that I love so much. After consistent use, I can easily see my skin looking brighter and more even toned. This is probably one of the more hydrating FTE’s that I’ve tried. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Ferment Micro Serum - the perfect companion for its essence counterpart. This viscous and creamy gel serum delivers a boost of nutrients and antioxidants to the skin with its elegant formula comprised of 61% fermented ingredients as well as niacinamide, adenosine, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica, hydrolyzed collagen, ascorbic acid, and vitamin e.This is very moisturizing and it leaves a bit of tacky and dewy finish once it’s absorbed. Upon application, you can see slightly plumper and brighter skin. It layers well with no pilling issues so regardless, you won’t even feel it once you’ve applied something else on top. Over time, I saw noticeably brighter skin that had that felt bouncier and firmer. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser - a 2 in 1 detoxifying mask and cleanser that eliminates excess sebum and blackheads while also cleansing the skin of makeup, dead skin cells, and clogged pores. This mask cleansers contains a ton of extracts, micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, and colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada. This has a creamy clay texture that easily spreads onto the skin. After a few minutes of application, the clay begins to foam on the skin to help draw impurities from the pores. Once the foaming has stopped, proceed to massage it into the skin and then rinse with water. I thought this was fun to use but using this everyday left my skin a bit dry. I preferred to use it every few days which was nice to help refresh my skin. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch - these are your typical hydrocolloid acne patches that help absorb excess sebum and secretions from your breakouts while also protecting the area from dirt and bacteria. These come in two sizes which is great for different sized pimples. I always enjoy having acne patches on hand because they help prevent me from picking at my pimples. After I intentionally or accidentally pop my spots, these are great for reducing the size of them overnight.

Great Mask if you deal with redness!💛🤎
This mask is great for people who deal with redness with your the skin. Also some ingredients I like in it are Glycerin which helps bring moisture from the air and brings it in to your skin. Another ingredient is Camellia Sinensis leaf extract(Green Tea) to Help calm skin and also helps with redness! And many more beneficial Plant extracts. This is a great product to check out! This also works on any skin type. 💛🤎🧡I'm from - Mugwort Mask :Quote of the Day: Go On Your Own Path Even If You Only Live For a Day- Park Jimin(BTS)

Restarting my Acne Journey
Hi all! This is a little vulnerable for me: I usually never post or go outside without at least a bit of makeup. BUT! I’m restarting my efforts to fix my acne with a new routine, and I know there’s a lot of people who struggle with this. So, here’s my face! I’ve been using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel for two weeks now and the purging is starting, so hopefully this is the worst it will get. I’m hoping with continued use to see some progress and to track it here! I have experienced stinging and some severe sensitivity while my skin gets used to it, but after two weeks the stinging is dying down. I’ve been dealing with hormonal/cystic acne for 10 years now, and believe it or not this is the best it’s been in years. I’ve slowly figured out what works for me, and wanted to share those tips. BUT, if I’ve learned anything in the past ten years about acne it’s that you need to listen to your own face: even if 1000% swear by something, if it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work for you. I have super oily skin, so if you have dry or combo, the listed routine will most likely not work. But for my oily pals, here’s the routine that’s improved my skin so far: Morning: FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser I love how calming and non-stripping this cleanser is, but it still manages to reduce my oil FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry to target acne scarring Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 to protect from sun damage and irritation. I HAVE TO use a gel formula for moisturizers/sunscreens, or else I break out like crazy. That’s the number one issue I’ve figured out with my face. This one has a nice gel cream texture and is lightly moisturizing, but doesn’t turn me into an oil slick. Night: First cleanse/makeup removal with GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm Second cleanse with FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser Apply pea sized drop of DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel If my skin is feeling good and non-irritated, I use LANEIGE - Special Care Water Sleeping Mask for just a bit of moisture overnight If my skin is feeling irritated/tight, I’ll use GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil for a heavier hit of moisture. If my skin is REALLY irritated, I follow with Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist to try and calm my skin down So here we go! Hoping to see some improvements next month. Trying my best to be patient and consistent this time, which is the hardest but most important part. Thanks for reading, and good luck on your acne journey! #CherieCreator #acne #pimples #acnecare #cysticacne #hormonalacne
