pre + post Halloween-Makeup skincare routine
Hi!! With halloween around the corner and face paints and heavy makeup inevitable, I wanted to share some products that I think would be helpful to making sure your skin stays safe and protected under makeup, and things to do post makeup to minimize irritation and acne. Besides your normal routine, here are some things you can add! Obviously I don’t suggest adding all these things in one day, but if you have some of these and you know they work for you, try it out! My skin type: sensitive, acne-prone, rosacea, combo My skin concern: redness, hyperpigmentation Pre Halloween Skincare: + FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

SNP PREP - Cicaronic Set
Hi my beauties😇 Today we are going to talk about.. 🌱SNP PREP KOREA🌱 (S)cience, (N)ature and (P)urity. SNP recently sent me their Cicaronic Skin Care Set so I wanted to make a quick review. ————————————— I struggle with sensitive/acne-prone/combo to dry skin (annoying, I know) but lately I am LOVING the ingredient Centella Asiatica Extract, which is the main ingredient used in this collection. This works fantastic for my skin. It calms down the redness caused by my acne tremendously and makes my overall complexion look so much better. 1. Cicaronic SOS 7-Day Ampoule: This is AMAZING, I honestly fell in love after the first use. It’s so lightweight BUT still SO hydrating. I put this on right before my COSRX moisturizer and loved the way it feels. It’s not irritating at all, and made my skin look and feel more plump. BUT fragrance is listed pretty high on the ingredient list. I don’t particularly mind fragrance but as long as it’s one of the last few on the list. I used about 5 ampoules already and since I only have 2 more left I will finish it. 2. Cicaronic Soothing Cream: I enjoyed this cream but I did not use it to much only because I am stuck on my COSRX moisturizer at the moment. I did like the way it felt on my skin, it’s a lovely texture and left my skin feeling super hydrated throughout the day. I also love that it contains Jojoba oil. But I will not continue use because fragrance is also listed high on the ingredient list and I can only handle using so much fragrance on my face at once. 3. Cicaronic Toning Essence: I only used this once or twice. This saddens me now at this point not because it didn’t work well but just like every other product, fragrance is high on the list. Like I said I don’t mind fragrance but not too much fragrance. Regardless of the ampoules containing a lot of fragrance, I am impressed with how it made my skin look and feel after each use. If I ever intend to re-purchase, it would be the ampoules only. I also received the Cicaronic Daily Mask. I have not used it yet but will try soon. *PR Sample but opinion always my own
these three things help my maskne 🎃
My skin type: combo, sensitive, acne prone, rosacea My skin concerns: hyperpigmentation, acne, dark spots PREVENTION - FARMACY - Deep Sweep This BHA toner has been absolutely saving me from maskne lately - I am ashamed I waited so long to open it now! Now, we all know that BHA’s should always be followed up with spf to protect our skin - even if it was used the night before. In fact, I used to only use BHA’s at nighttime because of this reason- I didn’t want my skin to be sensitized by the sun. BUT! Now that i have a mask on every time I leave the house, I use this in the mornings on my cheeks, chin, nose (wherever the mask sits). I know - A BHA IN THE MORNING? The thing is, the mask protects me from the sun in a way (I still use spf obviously), so putting this on in my AM routine kind of helps acne stay at bay all day, instead of me doing damage control at night. I work indoors, in a windowless building (theatre) so I get very minimal sun exposure as well. This product is formulated with moringa (removes impurities), papaya (gentle exfoliant), and salicylic Acid 2% (BHA). Very thin, watery - a true toner! I apply with a reusable cotton round. Smells very clean! Would definitely repurchase as its only $28! ACNE PATCH -HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell hands down the best acne patches on the market IMO! acne patches are also called hydrocolloid patches - they work by drawing the pimple out of your skin (the result is nasty gunk on the pimple patch itself). basically, you clean the area around the pimple of makeup, skincare, etc and then stick the pimple patch right on top, press down for 10 seconds to make sure it sticks, and then you can go about your day or night. these work in about 4-6 hours, so I will sometimes put them on before I go to bed, and let them work overnight, and sometimes I’ll put them on and then leave the house! They’re very inconspicuous (especially from six feet away) and you won’t even be able to see them under a mask. you can find them at target for like $10/36 patches! HYPERPIGMENTATION - The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% the last step of acne is the nasty mark that’s left when it’s gone - sometimes it’s red, sometimes it’s just darker skin in that area - called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation! anyone who is acne prone knows the struggle of this - covering up post acne with makeup has always been on my list of to-do’s. that’s where this product comes in! Azaleic acid brightens your complexion while improving skin tone and reducing the look of blemishes. this product is formulated as a cream-gel, and I use it almost entirely as a spot treatment. Anywhere that I have post acne marks, whether they’re still raised or red or a dark spot, I just dab this on and pat it in! it kinda speeds up the process of fading my acne and marks! Would def repurchase and have before! It’s $7.90 USD.
Farmacy Favorites for Oily/Acne Prone Skin!
Hi all! Okay, so I’ve talked about these products in my previous posts but haven’t really gone in depth about them yet. Let me just say, Farmacy is one of my new top favorite skincare brands today! If you haven’t tried them out yet, check out some of my favorite products of theirs — especially if you’re oily/acne prone like me! FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm “EXCUSE ME?!” I screamed in the mirror when I first tried this. I was so sure that a tiny smear of this sorbet-like balm would NOT be enough to remove my whole face of makeup. I was SO sure that my greasy skin would not be a fan of this melty and oily concoction. I couldn’t have been more wrong. First off, this balm is such a beautiful and soft texture (and yes, satisfying to dig into). It has a clean, lemony scent and easily rubs into the hands for that luxurious facial massage application. With other makeup removing balms or oils, I’ve needed to go back into my eye area with micellar water to get the stubborn makeup off — you will NOT need to do this with the Green Clean! It is incredible, it removes everything so effortlessly and emulsifies great! It doesn’t leave a residue (another pet peeve I’ve had with other oils/balms). My oily skin loves it, and I feel so clean even before going into my double cleanse. This stuff is magic and I can’t live without it now. FARMACY - Deep Sweep I use this Farmacy BHA toner every other morning (when I’m not using Vitamin C), and it has ZAPPED my pimples! So quickly, too! My blackheads are also beginning to fade for the first time ever so I’m excited to see what they look like further down the line. Absolutely love this. Use carefully though, as it can make the skin feel tight. Using it every other morning has been a perfect amount for me! FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya The Daily Greens moisturizer makes for a perfect pair with the Green Clean balm. It’s that same, fresh lemony scent that goes on slick yet still feels hydrating. Oil free moisturizers became life changing for me, as someone who is oily and used to dry out their skin (acne probs). I’ve been mixing this one up with Naturium’s Marine Water cream and I would say this one feels a little lighter, which I prefer in the morning! I tend to reach for something a little more thick and occlusive at night. I like to use this before my SPF and it’s so refreshing before I start my day! And yes, it’s very kind to your pimples (at least mine)! FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum One of my good friends turned me onto this AHA serum after claiming it did wonders for her glowiness. This is no joke — I put this on every other night (on nights I’m not using my retinol) and my face feels so smooth, bouncy, and exfoliated in the morning! I will say, it stings a tiny bit but I like that, and it goes away in a few minutes! Also great for pores! LOVE IT!

Dry, Acne Prone Skin? Listen up!!
FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I’m not gonna lie, I don’t love Farmacy’s products. But this, THIS changed my life. I struggle with really dry skin in the winter, but also struggle with breakouts every once in a while. Now, after wearing masks all over the place, I’m struggling even more. I’ve never found a mask that can give me the best of both acne fighting and hydration, but with the honey (which is both anti-bacterial and hydrating) I can’t get enough. This really showed me that I don’t need to multi-mask anymore. I will repurchase this until I stop breaking out or until I stop being dry. I’m telling you, this is so worth it!
My skincare wishlist
Here are some of the products I’m hoping to get for Christmas this year: The themes are: clean, value sets, AHAd, and masks. Most are new to me, with one favourite that I’ve tried. FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum BIOSSANCE - Overachievers Set SUNDAY RILEY - Dynamic Duo Kit FIRST AID BEAUTY - All That Fab PETER THOMAS ROTH - Masking Minis 5-Piece Mask Kit Glossier. - Boy Brow + Balm Dotcom + Futuredew SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream pixi - Glow Tonic I’m also planning on gifting skincare to my friends & family. With not much to do with the pandemic I think it’s the perfect gift to pamper yourself at home. Either masks, bath products, or hydrating lotions I think make great gifts in the winter for the women in your life. What do you want for the holidays?
Acne spot treatment that im loving
This clay mask is so simple and straightforward. All you need to do is mix a teaspoonful with a little bit of water. With my hormonal acne, i get atleast 1-2 breakouts every couple of weeks. I use this as a spot treatment every time i feel a bump and it helps calm it down by drawing toxins out. Made with organic essential oil of basil and activated charcoal, it leaves my skin feeling detoxified when i use it as a face mask. It’s so easy to apply and it washes off very quickly. I make sure i moisturize afterward with my usual and i don’t notice any extra drying at all. This is $24 for 60ml on ulta and i believe this would last a while for little goes a long way. Would totally recommend. *product gifted by brand via octolyPLANT APOTHECARY - Not A Spot Acne Treatment Mask
NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
Naturium and Farmacy were both gifted in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone sensitive skin at the moment. For full review on Farmacy’s BHA, check out my page. Here’s a comparison to Naturium’s new BHA ($20/4 oz) and which one I prefer! I have been using Naturium for nearly two weeks. The product is marketed toward all skin types, and claims to do exactly what a BHA does: exfoliates/clears pores, even tone, and smooth fine lines. My experience with this product so far is nice. It’s a more hydrating product, so my dehydrated skin loves it. It’s also alcohol free, oil free, and fragrance free, making this perfect for sensitive skin. The formula is relatively basic, which isn’t bad at all, considering the price! Since my skin is used to salicylic acid, I’ve used this daily since receiving it with no issues. I love to use SA in the morning after I cleanse, and this is the perfect toner step. If you normally tone after cleansing, I definitely recommend using this. My skin is left feeling balanced and it leaves no residue. My pores are noticeably better and I am less oily overall, thanks to the SA. Comparing this to Farmacy’s: Overall, both formulas work similarly, however for oily skin I am leaning more toward Farmacy. I find myself gravitating toward the formula more because it absorbs quicker, has more added benefits and feels more refreshing on my oily skin. If you prefer using SA at night or have drier skin, Naturium is a great option for the added moisture, plus it is more wallet friendly. I just prefer SA in the am, so I prefer what feels best for me during the day.
Brand spotlight: Neogen
▶️NEOGENLAB - Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea - winner of the 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards and deemed “one of the coolest creations to come out of Korea,” this travel friendly and all in one stick cleanser was formulated with 13 botanical oils to breakdown makeup, sunscreen, and cleanse your skin of all impurities. There are also natural green tea leaves imbedded in the cleansing stick to provide a gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter more even toned skin. I’ve tried stick cleansers in the past and while they were convenient for traveling, they always left a film on my skin and tight afterwards. I had the same reservations about this one but to my surprise, this left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I assume it’s because of the oils in the formula but I really enjoyed using this. It lathers nicely and cleanses my skin of everything. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence - one of my all time favorite essences. This hydrating and brightening essence is formulated with 93% naturally fermented ingredients as well as betaine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, niacinamide, and various amino acids. I forgot how much I loved this essence. Used directly after cleansing, this watery first treatment essence quickly absorbs to restore hydration and prep my skin for the remainder of my routine without any stickiness. There’s also the plumping effect that this gives after 1-2 skins that I love so much. After consistent use, I can easily see my skin looking brighter and more even toned. This is probably one of the more hydrating FTE’s that I’ve tried. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Ferment Micro Serum - the perfect companion for its essence counterpart. This viscous and creamy gel serum delivers a boost of nutrients and antioxidants to the skin with its elegant formula comprised of 61% fermented ingredients as well as niacinamide, adenosine, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica, hydrolyzed collagen, ascorbic acid, and vitamin e.This is very moisturizing and it leaves a bit of tacky and dewy finish once it’s absorbed. Upon application, you can see slightly plumper and brighter skin. It layers well with no pilling issues so regardless, you won’t even feel it once you’ve applied something else on top. Over time, I saw noticeably brighter skin that had that felt bouncier and firmer. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser - a 2 in 1 detoxifying mask and cleanser that eliminates excess sebum and blackheads while also cleansing the skin of makeup, dead skin cells, and clogged pores. This mask cleansers contains a ton of extracts, micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, and colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada. This has a creamy clay texture that easily spreads onto the skin. After a few minutes of application, the clay begins to foam on the skin to help draw impurities from the pores. Once the foaming has stopped, proceed to massage it into the skin and then rinse with water. I thought this was fun to use but using this everyday left my skin a bit dry. I preferred to use it every few days which was nice to help refresh my skin. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch - these are your typical hydrocolloid acne patches that help absorb excess sebum and secretions from your breakouts while also protecting the area from dirt and bacteria. These come in two sizes which is great for different sized pimples. I always enjoy having acne patches on hand because they help prevent me from picking at my pimples. After I intentionally or accidentally pop my spots, these are great for reducing the size of them overnight.

Great Mask if you deal with redness!💛🤎
This mask is great for people who deal with redness with your the skin. Also some ingredients I like in it are Glycerin which helps bring moisture from the air and brings it in to your skin. Another ingredient is Camellia Sinensis leaf extract(Green Tea) to Help calm skin and also helps with redness! And many more beneficial Plant extracts. This is a great product to check out! This also works on any skin type. 💛🤎🧡I'm from - Mugwort Mask :Quote of the Day: Go On Your Own Path Even If You Only Live For a Day- Park Jimin(BTS)

Restarting my Acne Journey
Hi all! This is a little vulnerable for me: I usually never post or go outside without at least a bit of makeup. BUT! I’m restarting my efforts to fix my acne with a new routine, and I know there’s a lot of people who struggle with this. So, here’s my face! I’ve been using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel for two weeks now and the purging is starting, so hopefully this is the worst it will get. I’m hoping with continued use to see some progress and to track it here! I have experienced stinging and some severe sensitivity while my skin gets used to it, but after two weeks the stinging is dying down. I’ve been dealing with hormonal/cystic acne for 10 years now, and believe it or not this is the best it’s been in years. I’ve slowly figured out what works for me, and wanted to share those tips. BUT, if I’ve learned anything in the past ten years about acne it’s that you need to listen to your own face: even if 1000% swear by something, if it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work for you. I have super oily skin, so if you have dry or combo, the listed routine will most likely not work. But for my oily pals, here’s the routine that’s improved my skin so far: Morning: FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser I love how calming and non-stripping this cleanser is, but it still manages to reduce my oil FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry to target acne scarring Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 to protect from sun damage and irritation. I HAVE TO use a gel formula for moisturizers/sunscreens, or else I break out like crazy. That’s the number one issue I’ve figured out with my face. This one has a nice gel cream texture and is lightly moisturizing, but doesn’t turn me into an oil slick. Night: First cleanse/makeup removal with GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm Second cleanse with FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser Apply pea sized drop of DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel If my skin is feeling good and non-irritated, I use LANEIGE - Special Care Water Sleeping Mask for just a bit of moisture overnight If my skin is feeling irritated/tight, I’ll use GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil for a heavier hit of moisture. If my skin is REALLY irritated, I follow with Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist to try and calm my skin down So here we go! Hoping to see some improvements next month. Trying my best to be patient and consistent this time, which is the hardest but most important part. Thanks for reading, and good luck on your acne journey! #CherieCreator #acne #pimples #acnecare #cysticacne #hormonalacne
