January Ipsy glam bag unboxing 📦
I subscribe to Ipsy’s glam bag, every month I get 5-6 new makeup/skincare brands to try out and always get so excited about it! This month the theme was dream it ☁️ I got my glam bag about a week ago and have been using these products and I wanted to rate them. The glam bag for this month is clear and has the word dream all over it. It’s actually cuter in person than the sneak peaks I saw online. I’m going to use this to hold all my scruncies and hair clips. Youth to the people kombucha + 11% AHA exfoliation toner: I got this in .5 oz so a decent amount. This is a nighttime toner. The first day I used it I felt a little bit of a tingly sensation that went away in a second. I’ve been using using this every other day to get my skin used to it. It definitely makes my skin feel smoother. It says to use this with a cotton round but I prefer to use my hands and pat it into the skin. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner Glow on 5th beauty hydrate + renew replenishing night cream: I’ve never heard of this brand before and was very curious about it. It’s .5 oz First day I used it I was pleasantly surprised with this. It felt so nice on my skin and it was really moisturizing. The texture of this pretty creamy. Definitely excited to keep using this. #Glow on 5th - Hydrate and renew replenishing night cream[products]#[FiveStars] Seraphine botanicals camelina + strobe luminizing primer: a while ago Ipsy introduced me to this brand and I’ve liked all of their products including this one. This has a very subtle shine to it. It feels pretty moisturizing which is really great. The only eh thing to me is that in the sun it looks a little bit glittery(subtle glitter) the color is like pinkish/gold. Besides that, it’s a nice primer. SERAPHINE botanicals - Camelina + Strobe Luminizing Primer Super sativa wellness medicinal hydrating balm: it’s actually very moisturizing. I was a little afraid of this being ok when applying but would dry out my lips after a while but it did the opposite. It felt nice and didn’t have an overpowering smell of hemp seed oil scent that I hate. #Super sativa wellness - Medicinal hydrating balm[products]#[FourStars] Slmissglam angled brush in lilac: this is a super pretty brush. It’s also really soft and I started using this as my highlighter brush. I’ve received one other brush from this brand a while back and I still use it. slmissglam - Pink Glam Brush💕 Overall this was a great bag. 5/5 Pleasantly surprised with all these products and maybe I’ll actually repurchase some of these products I got in my bag.

𝘿𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨: 🌸 • A toner that helps to smooth and refine your skins appearance with an effective dose of 10% glycolic acid and a blend of ingredients. • This toner helps to address the look of skin tone and texture with a special blend of 10 percent glycolic acid and the pore control complex - witch hazel, tea tree oil, and red clover. • The blend helps create the appearance of a smooth, poreless complexion. • Features: Fragrance-free, Witch Hazel • Form: Liquid • Sustainability: Cruelty-free . . 🌸💭🌸 This is a toner I've been wanting to try for a while. I have big pores and I'm always looking for something to help. The packaging is beautiful.i love the frosted bottle. It has weight to it. I've used this toner 3x a week to start of because I have sensitive skin. It has a tingle(a little more than I liked) when I first applied. I had to let me skin adjust. It gives your skin a refresher and brighter look. It helps smooth and even out your skin which is always a plus. I think this product will work wonders on acne prone skin because it's an chemical exfoliating toner. 🌸
Ballin’ on a Budget! *DUPE ALERT*
So I bought glycolic acid toners after hearing how it helps with chemical exfoliation along with brightening any dark spots you may have! If you didn’t know glycolic acid are chemical exfoliators that help with scarring, prevent aging, as well as help with texture. During these times, like being inside all the time, my skin has been dealing with a lot of textures and clogged pores and these products have been helping me with that. But I think I may have found a dupe for one another. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution after seeing and hearing wonderful reviews about it! I’m not someone who enjoys toners and never really used them but after picking this one up, I was like “OH DAYUM! Okay!” LIKE THIS TONER IS LITERALLY A MAGIC IN A BOTTLE! If you have texture, hyperpigmentation, unevenness, this is the product for you! SATURDAY SKIN - Pore Clarifying Toner so this is an extremely strong toner because it has 10% glycolic acid! This was a toner that I used once a week because I have dry, sensitive, eczema-tic skin. So this was extremely strong for me but I saw such good results! So in conclusion, I think the ordinary glycolic acid 7% toner is a dupe for the Saturday skin 10% glycolic acid. They both are chemical exfoliators and help with uneven skin, texture and discoloration!!

From bacne (acne on your back) to buttne (acne on your backside - yep, it's a thing) body spots can be pretty rubbish to deal with. Even worse? When the warm weather makes an appearance, your playsuits come out of hibernation and suddenly you're showing off a little more flesh than usual. How To Get Rid Of Back Acne Swap Out Your Current Body Wash That ultra-creamy, coconut-scented shower gel may feel seriously luxe, but if it doesn't contain zit-zapping ingredients such as salicylic acid (a BHA that exfoliates the skin's surface layer and unblocks pores of sebum and dead skin), glycolic acid (an AHA that dissolves the upper layer of dead skin cells to prevent spots and to blur red marks left behind by acne), and lactic acid (also an AHA with the same skin-smoothing, spot-preventing credentials as glycolic acid, just a little gentler on skin), then it might not be doing your body acne any good. Acids like these prevent dead skin cells from building up and blocking your pores. Use a non-comedogenic body lotion You don't have to give up the moisturiser to keep breakouts at arms length - just make sure you choose the right one - that means ditching the unctuous, oily creams. In layman’s terms, “non-comedogenic” simply means non-pore-clogging. This is important when choosing products that stay on your skin all day or night, such as body lotion. When applied to your chest, non-comedogenic body lotion can help hydrate the skin without causing acne. Some lotions even contain small amounts of salicylic acid to get rid of preexisting breakouts. You may also want to avoid fragrances that can irritate your skin. Try spot treatments Spot treatments can help chest acne breakouts by shrinking pimples and healing the underlying inflammation. Over-the-counter (OTC) spot treatments abound, and most of these contain either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Of these two ingredients, salicylic acid is preferable because benzoyl peroxide is a notorious for bleaching clothing. There’s a risk of toxicity when salicylic acid is applied to large areas, so make sure you limit it to spot treatments when using it in the chest area. You can also consider some of the following home and natural remedies. Before applying any remedy on your chest, try a patch test to make sure it doesn’t cause any negative reaction. Choose a small spot on your arm and wait 24 hours to see if any rash or irritation develops. Cinnamon and honey Cinnamon and honey can potentially create a powerful acne-fighter when applied to the chest. Cinnamon has antimicrobial capabilities, and raw honey can work as a bacteria-fighting agent. Together, these can reduce bacteria and inflammation that lead to acne. These are safe to use weekly or as needed for new blemishes. To whip this up, mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of raw honey until it forms a paste. You can apply the mask all over your chest and rinse off after 30 minutes, or you can use it as an overnight spot treatment. Mud or charcoal If you’d rather use a natural treatment that’s already made in a bottle, consider a mask that’s made of mud or charcoal. These can work as all-over treatments or they can be used on a few spots on your chest. Both mud and charcoal fight acne by drawing out impurities. These ingredients may also soften your skin at the same time. One example is the Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask. Use once a week for best results.
Are you dealing with butt acne? Read this!
-Hi! Thanks for reading me in advance. ✨- Buttne is a shorthand for butt acne. Which is a very common and uncomfortable skin condition so don’t feel bad about it. 😋 In addition of giving you a very bad bump in your butt it is also very painful and itchy as well. Butt acne is not usually the common acne, is a folliculitis. What is a folliculitis? Well, is a mild infection of the hair follicle that leads to pus pimples or red bumps. This non regular pimple are caused by a combination of your follicles getting blocked and a bacterial infection. Sometimes the causes are very gross, or they can be a “wait, really!?” 😳 If you keep your wet sweaty clothes after you hit the gym, then expect buttne. If you spend long hours sitting down, then this friction and irritation will cause those follicles to get clogged. If your case is wearing undies past their time, which is gross, but totally expect Buttne with this. Do not wear tight-fitting clothes too much either! This traps sweat and oil against your skin, which... you know what can happen. Let’s say you have these, well there is not problem with it. We got the solution! 😗 I suggest you to try these at home options to help your peach look better. 🙊 Try a salicylic acid body wash. This will help you to unclogged those pores by exfoliating your skin. You can also try to target your butt with a benzoyl peroxide body wash. This is very effective to treat acne and folliculitis because of its antimicrobial ingredients. You can also bright up acne marks with glycolic acid. Try to moisturize your butt with a lactic acid lotion whenever you get the chance. Don’t feel scare, this won’t clog your pores. If you shave, try to shave the right way. Don’t go against the grain of your hair. If these solutions or any other don’t work. Then a consultation with a dermatologist will help you more. :) I useful tip is to leave the acne medication sit on your skin for 8-10 minutes. This way it can penetrate the skin before washing it off. Maybe put the product before you step on the shower, shampoo your hair, condition your hair, maybe shave, sing some songs. And then wash it off :) Some good products for Buttne: PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cream Cleanser PETER THOMAS ROTH - Max Complexion Salicylic Acid Pore Refining Pads skinfix - Resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub Amlactin - Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion I hope this little info helps you out! Let me know if you try them, and which one worked for you! :) There is not shame on having Buttne. I myself have experience this and is totally normal! Enjoy your day! 🥰
Youth To The People [discovery Kit]
I had to finally mention the amazing products that is @youthtothepeople their products have made such an impactful difference in my skin, which has made me much more confident. Adaptogen deep moisture cream with herbs and mushrooms to clam the skin from stressors like UV rays and environmental pollutions. I have dry skin and it has helped me to hydrate my skin again. Superberry hydrate + glow dream mask. Helps to bring hydration and radiance back in to the skin when you leave it on overnight. This has probably been my favourite product because it’s changed the look of my skin over the few weeks I’ve been using it. It smells amazing and really hydrates your skin and creates a glow when you wake up in the morning. Supeefood cleanser is a facial cleanser with cold pressed antioxidants that keeps the natural PH balance of your skin. It removes makeup and percents build up in your pores. A great product that is clean with kale, vitamin C, spinach, and green tea. Kombucha + 11% AHA power toner. Helps to exfoliate and smooth out the skin. Applied after cleanser this is probably my second favourite product. With Lactic acid, and glycolic Acid it helps to chemically exfoliate the skin and remove any dead skin cells while leaving the skin smooth. Youth to the people is a brand that focuses on clean skin care, environmentally friendly products with their glass containers and 100% vegan ingredients you gotta love this brand. Gifted, but opinions are my own🧡✨

My skincare awards: toners
🥇GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Toner $26 This is the toner that I've been using lately, I love the results of Georgette Klinger's Vitamin C line. I had a chance to try it thanks Georgette Klinger and Cherie. Leaves skin fresh and clean, helps diminish dark spots, calms redness, purifies pores and brightens dull skin tone. Its main ingredients: kakadu plum, aloe, withc hazel, watercress and elderflower. It is a lightweight liquid that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave sticky. It definitely decreased the redness on my skin and has helped decrease dark spots. 🥈 PEACH & LILY - The Good Acids Pore Toner It is a gentle formula even with sensitive skin. Contains AHAs, salicylic acid, cape lilac, eggplant, turmeric extracts, aloe and allantoin. I had the opportunity to try it thanks to a BoxyCharm box. I have used it a few times but I liked it, it doesn’t cause irritation and absorbs quickly, its texture is liquid and it has no odor. It is ideal for oily and combination skin. It is definitely a gentle exfoliating toner that doesn’t cause irritation, making it ideal for even the most sensitive skin. ❌ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner $38 Long ago I did a review of this toner, I had used it for two weeks and my first impression was that it didn’t absorb well, since it leaves sticky feeling. In fact they mention it on their website, but for me that feeling is unbearable. I found it as a new product at Sephora and bought it to try it out as I had a good experience with the cleanser. I still have the same opinion of that time, the truth is that I wouldn’t buy it again. Its main ingredients: kombucha black tea fermented, tree bark ferment, ginger, lactic acid, glycolic acid, citrus bioflavonoids and lemons water extract. Its texture is liquid, they say "liquid, lightweight", it has no added fragrance. Every time I use it, it causes a little irritation that goes away the next morning, but I think the Peach & Lily is gentler than this toner. It is used 3-5 times a week, at night. I definitely prefer the first two options as they don't irritate me. But I think it depends on your skin type, since many people do very well with YTTP toner.
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner
One of the better acid toners I’ve tried over the last year
Youth To The People The Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner has both lactic & glycolic acids with ginger, tree bark and kombucha ferment. This has a hint of a tingly bite to it the first few times you use it but honestly it was gentle enough for me to use everyday. However, I am completely used to daily acid toners I would highly suggest anyone new to acids start 2-3 times a week and see how it goes. Especially those with sensitive or problem skin. Always start slow and watch for signs of a compromised skin barrier (dryness, irritation, increased sensitivity, redness). And always wear sunscreen daily when using acids as you’ll be more sensitive to photo damage. Why do we love acids? Because they help increase cellular turnover, exfoliate to reveal newer skin resulting in the unmistakable glow we all want. Lactic and glycolic acids are AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids). AHAs help with sun damage, adds moisture by binding water to skin, removes upper layer of skin revealing more even, smoother skin, promotes cell turnover. This helps with pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles as well as reducing pore size. Lactic acid is a larger molecule than glycolic so it’s more gentle on the skin. I really like acid blends not just single acid products. In addition to the acids this toner has antioxidant rich ginger water plus fermented kombucha & tree bark. I love the combination of acids with antioxidants and fermented products in this toner. It’s unique. I found it was effective at what’s it’s supposed to do without being too powerful or stripping to my moisture barrier. I used it for three weeks straight and noticed a nice even tone and glow. It was one of the better acid toners I’ve tried over the last year. Those who love BHA for acne/oily/problem skin might have to alternate this with a BHA toner to keep that pore clearing action going.

Gentle AHA toner for Minimizing Pores
REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner This is the REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner. I got this mini as part of a 100 point Sephora reward. This product helps to exfoliate the skin to help clear away dead skin and reduce the appearance of pores. It contains lactic acid and willow bark extract to gently exfoliate. This product is for all skin types from oily to dry skin, it also claims to be safe for sensitive skin. I use this every other day since I have quite sensitive skin. I apply some to a cotton pad and wipe the skin after cleansing. I then follow with a calming serum and a moisturizer. I use this product at night since it is an exfoliant. In addition to this, I always make sure to wear my sunscreen the day after since the new skin is susceptible to sun damage. I do find that my skin is softer since starting using this consistently for the past few weeks. I also find that it has a strong citrus smell to it. I don’t think that my pores look smaller, but I think that my skin is more “glowy”. I think that the key to this product is consistency, and that over time you can see results. I think that if you are interested in exfoliating toners, this is a good option, the price is a bit high, but they do have a value version if you really like the product.
REN CLEAN SKINCARE-Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner
Nice idea, not great performance
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner This is a Kombucha Exfoliation Toner with a potent percentage of AHA. It’s supposed to bring back dull skin to life, minimize pores, improve elasticity and help smooth skin. Targeted at dry skin. I wanted this to work and I know I don’t have dry skin but so many people trying this loved it so I had to myself. I have combination skin with problems with my large pores so I figured this would help. I didn’t see results from this toner. It was also a bit unpleasant to use since it was sticky after it dries down on the skin. I layered it of course with my other skincare but I still felt the stickiness and couldn’t shake it off. I wish it would have worked better for me, more so because I spent $38 on it. It’s not worth it and I wouldn’t recommend it.
