I wore this beautiful White Tea perfume elizabeth arden uk pretty much all spring😻 Upon placing my order I also got two bath bombs in the same scent for only 1p, did I mention it was on offer too? For me it’s very tricky with it comes to scents as most of them make me sick, but this one is a delight. As a scent & candle connoisseur I will share with you the top, middle and base notes and explain a little bit more how they work (for those who don’t know). 🌸 Top notes: Italian Mandarin, Clary Sage, Sea Breeze and Japanese White Fern 🌸 Middle notes: White Tea Extract, White Iris, Mate Absolute Paraguay, Spicy Turkish Rose, Nutty Sapucaya 🌸 Base Notes: Madras Wood, Ambrette Seed, Tonka Bean, Amber & Musk 🌸 Now, I will explain shortly how these notes work and the extent to which they influence the overall scent/impression. 🌿Top notes: usually the initial impression of a perfume, they evaporate fairly quickly and are the lightest of all notes. In general, upon application, is extremely important to not only make a good impression, but also to smoothly transition into the middle notes (know as the heart of the fragrance). 🌿Middle notes: The last longer than top notes and usually come through when the top notes evaporate. Hence why sometimes we feel like the scent has changed. It’s actually transitioned to the heart of the fragrance. Can either mask unpleasant top notes and or work to mellow/round the scent. They influence the base notes whilst combining smoothly ( i.e florals/fruits infused with spices). 🌿Base notes: are the heavy molecules that mingle nicely with the heart notes in order to provide a long lasting impression, in other words they linger for many hours on skin (i.e musk, amber, vanilla bean, woody scents, patchouli, etc). Hope you find my little guide useful. I have learnt the importance of notes when I developed my love & passion for candles many years ago. 💞

I was very intrigued by this becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector Although I prefer a matte under eye look, I wanted to give it a go. Long story short, I tried this in store on top of my foundation and fell in love instantly. Depending on your preference, can be worn under foundation as well, both ways work just as well, however I prefer the first. Why I love it? It gives a nice radiance and awake look. Having fair skin, I opted for the light to medium version (they only have two shades) which is a peachy-pink colour with pearly particles . Even if the product is designed for dark circles or discolouration and personally I don’t suffer from any (occasional puffiness only) like Aline said it’s an extra step in my makeup routine that I really enjoy! 🧖🏻♀️The pot is decent sized and probably will last a very long time.

Some of the textures I have been enjoying this week, so far I did not wear any makeup, quite proud of myself. 💪🏻 mariobadescu Special Healing Powder I am still trying to see how this works, can also be mixed with your normal powder, own it’s is very greenish. dermalogicauk great for blackheads, therefore I am incorporating this more in my routines (I also have a detailed review) baremineralsuk Complexion Rescue, new moisturiser, SPF and blue light protection, all in one (more details a few posts back).
Here in the picture are 3 different textures from thin to thick starting with: 🌿 holikaholika_official Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask, gel-like consistency, smells like grapes, absorbs beautifully into the skin, great for summer. 🌿 elemis* you probably already know I love this cream, texture is creamy, perfect balance between thick and thin. Absorbs brilliantly, has great anti-ageing properties, wears amazingly under makeup, I adore it. 🌿 Lastly, the thickest consistency of all is by mulondon Frankincense & Myrrh moisturiser, made with these healing essential oils, this is a multi-tasking cream, great for face massages, makeup removal (except eyes), or anywhere else on your body. A little goes long way, therefore it lasts for a very long time.

featuring mgc derma skincare a cosmetic company that uses Cannabidiol (CBD) as the key ingredient in their products. Wait for it, CBD is naturally derived from Hemp plant. By the way, did you know that Hemp is part of the Cannabis family? As you already know, hemp is very popular ingredient used in many skin products & you could never get ‘high’ from it. 😃 🌿 What is CBD then? To put is simply, is an active cannabinoid chemical (from Hemp plant) which has anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and analgesic properties, it neutralises free radicals (by working with the body’s natural system) encouraging skin repair and rejuvenation. Moreover, it increases the rate of absorption of other ingredients into the skin, therefore making treatments much more effective. Furthermore, CBD’s molecular structure contains a high concentration of vit A, B, D and E, which sounds very promising and attractive. The brand is very transparent and provides many studies on the their website, which I highly recommend. 🌿 Mgc derma skincare is one of the pioneers in the field and the team behind these products is pretty impressive, which makes me even more confident to see the results. 🌿 The mask is incredible in all ways: texture (clay, gel-like), results are stunning and the after feel is amazing. It was love at first touch, in general I tend to steer away from clay masks as they leave my skin dry, but this one provides hydration in a very unique way, unlike anything else I have tried before (probably due to CBD oil).
Good evening friends! 😘 Today’s post includes two products I have been using a lot this week, namely paulas choice 2% BHA Gel 🔍 A quick into of BHAs for my new followers or those who are not familiar with it. BHA mostly refers salicylic acid, it actively penetrates the pores &clears them from gunk. Nothing better to prevent & treat blackheads & whiteheads. 🍀 The paulas choice gel has a gooey-sticky formula, very easy to apply, it does absorb quicker than the liquid, however the the stickiness is so unpleasant (for myself) I really dislike it. After a few minutes, when is completely absorbed the skin feels very soft. I usually apply this in the PM as I find it difficult to layer with other products in the AM. You can carry on with your routine or stop at this step, I do both depending on my skin & mood. I have to say, despite the sticky application, I love the results this acid provides, my skin has been very clear lately & I know for a fact that this product has played a role in how my skin looks at the moment. I also find it very effective for blackheads, especially in summer.
