This Vitamin C serum packs some fizz! ✨🍊✨
COSRX recently launched (and sold out of almost immediately, twice!) the newCOSRX - Real Fit Vitamin C Serum C-23 , a potent ascorbic acid serum that packs some punch. The Basics: 23% of pure vitamin C (purity 99%) works as a powerful antioxidant to visibly brighten and even skin tone, reduce the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Leaves the skin looking radiant and healthy with a youthful glow. COSRX's patented technology utilizing Aronia melanocarpa fruit extract and Hippophae rhamnoides extract increases the stability and efficacy of vitamin C. 60% propolis extract is added instead of purified water to combat the dryness caused by vitamin C. Propolis extract moisturizes and nourishes the skin protecting it from dehydration and stimulation. Only available on cosrx.com. Ingredients: Propolis Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Aronia Melanocarpa Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Lactate, Water, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist tested, Cruelty-FREE, Parabens FREE, Sulfate FREE, Mineral Oil FREE, Artificial Fragrance FREE, Alcohol-FREE PH: 3.5-4.0 My Thoughts: First impression, this is indeed a very potent serum. At 23% pure l-ascorbic acid, this is one of the highest percentages I’ve encountered. So far I’ve used it twice and it tingles quite a bit upon application, with a citrusy bite. So if you haven’t used a serum this strong, or you have any open wounds, avoid until healed and apply sparingly upon use. The website suggest just 2-3 drops for the entire face. I usually follow up with hyaloronic acid because it plays well with Vitamin C. Both are stored in the fridge to extend their life a bit. I’ll follow up after I’ve had more time to use the product and share how I like it and if I see any results from use. Stay Tuned! 🍊✨

Olaplex on Natural Hair: Believe the Hype?
I have seen this product before but I was certain that it likely wasn’t for my type of hair because, well let’s be honest, most salon products aren’t really geared towards ethnic hair...certainly not in it’s natural state. 🤷🏽♀️ However, after moving from the curly hair friendly climate of Miami and into the not so forgiving temperatures of NYC, I had to find a solution for my stressed tresses. I’ve had terrible breakage lately and needed a fix fast. So after much hesitation, I decided to take the leap (and spend a little $$$) after researching and reading a ton of reviews. Not going to lie...$28 for 3 ounces of product was....not appealing...AT ALL. Anyone with thick or curly hair knows how product can disappear in there lol. So I got 2...just in case lol. 💸💸😩🤣 On application to my damp (not shampooed) hair, I was quite surprised that it only took 1/3 of the the container to coat my hair (I sectioned in 4 parts to be thorough). I left it in overnight, rinsed it out, then shampooed and conditioned as usual. Guys. I have become a believer in Olaplex. Immediately after the initial rinse, my hair felt pillow soft. I was still skeptical thinking this silky feeling would wash away with shampooing. It did not. Ummm...wow. This is nice. Also major points...I ONLY SHED A FRACTION OF A FRACTION OF THE NORMAL AMOUNT OF HAIR DURING WASH & DETANGLING. HUGE! This stood out most because it has bothered me to see so much shed hair lately and I almost shed none in this wash! I now believe the hype, so for any other curly girls out there looking for a fix to damaged and breaking hair...this is worth a try. Holy Grail, dare I say?!

innisfree - Pore Clearing Clay Mask 2X with Super Volcanic Clusters So, I have had issues with my pores (mostly in my t-zone) lately and I wanted try something to rid them of any residue and calm these guys down. This is my first time trying this particular brand (but I’ve heard great things!) of clay mask but so far I love the tingling sensation it gives; it’s like a gentle cooling while it works it’s mojo. After I massaged it off in warm water, I was actually pretty impressed at how my skin was noticeably calmer, my pores were less prominent, and other minor irritations seemed to have gone away or significantly reduced. Very good for a first try! I didn’t have a clay mask in my current skincare arsenal, so this one seemed like a good one to try. Have you used it before? Did you love it or hate it? I’m going to give this one a few tries to see how my skin likes it and I’ll give you guys an update on its pore clearing capabilities!

Oil to clear clogged pores?! 🤯🤯🤯
So I read an article somewhere about a girl using oil to clear her clogged pores. Sounds counterintuitive right??? Well, turns out it makes sense and it actually WORKS! All you need is a skin friendly oil like coconut, argan, almond or whatever suitable oil you have. Pour a generous amount into your hands (about a quarter sized amount) and massage it into a clean, dry face for 10-15 minutes, at the very least. As you rub, you’ll begin to see ( and feel!) the blackheads and dirt clogging your pores come out! Follow-up afterwards with your regular cleanser and any treatments you usually do. Apparently oil breaks down oil and the warmth and massaging helps to dislodge the debris clogging your pores. Try it out and let me know how it works for you!💕

This is everything that I use (though I alternate most of these things, some are daily use) for my face/neck. Does anyone else use any of these? I’m obsessed with The Ordinary for the value CosRx for the quality, and also masking rn. I usually mask 3x a week now that outside is closed and I switch between sheet, overnight, and modeling. Though I’m looking for a peeling or clay mask for my very large t zone pores. Any recommendations? ✨This jkosmmune shampoo is intended to gently cleanse hair & scalp without stripping them of essential oils. My hair is thick, coarse and very thirsty so I don’t usually have high expectations for shampoo. I gravitate to co-wash and depend on conditioners to really hydrate. That being said this shampoo has exceeded my expectations. It has a thin liquid consistency that caught me by surprise and a mild citrus scent. I love how gentle and hydrating it is, my hair feels soft and clean and I can actually comb through my hair prior to conditioning. It’s a keeper. ✨Some product highlights: • Great for sensitive scalps and dry damaged hair • Potent #betaglucan • 100% safe (EWG green level) and natural ingredients • Sulfate-free • No artificial fragrance (naturally scented from citrus oil)
