Stila vs Makeup By Mario 🤼🏽♂️
I have been using the stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner for a loooong time. I did a review on it if you want to check it out. It was sold out the other day and I really needed an eyeliner asap so I went to Sephora and two employees recommanded the MAKEUP BY MARIO - Master Mattes Liquid Eyeliner right away. After a few days, I have some thoughts. The formula is beautiful. Applies smoothly, doesn't bunch up with powders and the tip is shaped nicely for both cat eyes or subtle wings. I had watery eyes because of the cold a couple of times and it didn't move. I took a nap and it did smudge a bit on the side of my face that rested on my pillow. The Stila one usually doesn't move and I like that cause I'm a serial napper. They're the same price, but I prefer the Stila one. The formula is a bit more waterproof and the tip is not as long as the MBM so it gives me more control over my wing. It's still a good product though!

Is it going to be worth the 💸?
I just received this in the mail and I am SO EXCITED! I have heard so many good things about the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum and as I read further about it, the SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin CF Prevent Serum Antioxidant Treatment seems to be more suited for my oily and acne-prone skin. I will be trying this product and make a review in a month. I hope it is going to be worth the price. 🙃 Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments!

Great AM moisturizer ☀️
My skin is on the oily side. For the day, I like something that hydrates without making me look greasy. I also use sunscreen every single morning, so I don't want to put something too heavy underneath. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya is a lightweight gel that contains moringa water, papaya and willow herb; a yummy blend! It claims to reduce shine and keep your pores clean ➡️ contains niacinamide which I love for my hyperpigmentation and oil control. I like this because it's not heavy or clogging and it does keep my face looking hydrated but not shiny. I don't mind using heavier creams at night because I use retinol in my bedtime routine. This combined with my sunscreen makes my makeup look flawless. A lot of people complain that it makes their face feel sticky. Fortunately, I don't have that problem. I wait about a minute before putting on sunscreen and it's fine. However, I have tried this before and went back to it, and I still kind of dislike the smell. I live in Northern Canada, so I use this in the morning and only when I stay most of the day inside. This might not be the best for a day out on the land as it is lightweight. Good product, cruelty-free, glass packaging and retails for 50$. 4 stars!

Ok, I like this. 😳
I've tried a few First Aid Beauty products in the past and they were...ok. Not great, just ok. I had a cystic acne flare-up during the holidays and a lot of hyperpigmentation was just not going away fast enough. My skin was also sensitive cause I used peroxyde gel for acne and nothing seemed to make my skin bounce back fully. Even if my acne cleared up, my skin was still sensitive, my pores were large and my skin was just dull. This FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum gave me the boost I needed for my other products to work better and my skin to finally bounce back. It also worked super fast. I was waiting to make a review, but this finally gave me my plump skin back. It also did wonders for my stubborn hyperpigmentation that lingered. I've been using for 3 weeks every 2 to 3 days at night and the results are great. I didn't dry out my skin at all. Adapting to my now-sensitive skin is always a learning curve. I'm happy to have found a good retinol product for sensitive skin. It's 77$ though. I still love my Sweet CHEF - Beet + Vitamin A Serum Shot which is a 19,99$ option, but the FAB one works faster for sure (and the retinol is higher on the ingredient list).

I had high expectations...
When I started using this product over a month ago, it was not that bad. The lightweight texture is quite pleasant and the fragrance, although strong, smells ok. I have combo oily skin and this did not leave an oily film on my face. It did not do the greatest job at moisturizing though. I had a cystic acne flare-up and used prescribed peroxyde gel to spot treat, so some parts of my face got quite sensitive. I also live up North and we already had -30°C temperatures here, so my skin is even more sensitive because of the cold. I have been "slugging" with Vaseline at night to get my skin back to normal. If you have sensitive skin, I don't recommend using this. The fragrance in this product burns so much when I apply it. My skin was not visibly irritated after a few days of spot treating, but I sure found out when I applied this moisturizer. 🥲 If your skin is oily or combo and not sensitive, you might like this! I'd be curious to see how my skin reacts to it in the spring or summer, but right now I just can't use this. I think it might be a great moisturizer for warmer temperatures, but I need something a bit more heavy duty for the dry winter above the 49th parallel. I heard this used to be formulated with less fragrance, which sucks cause I think this would be so much better without it. It won't be expired in the spring, so I will definitely try it again as a day moisturizer. It's not that expensive either, so if I have to give it to someone, so be it. ZitSticka Skin Discipline
💊Those if you who have pretty hands have no idea how lucky you are. It took a pretty decent amount of editing to get my hand not to look like a chicken wing and now it just looks incredibly muscular instead? 💊 Anyway ZitSticka was kind enough to gift me their Skin Discipline Supplements 💊 What is it? A supplement to calm acne prone skin and maintain skin and gut health 💊 Call Outs: Gluten Free Soy Free Non GMO Recyclable Packaging Drug Free Dairy Free Formulated by dermatologists 💊 Who’s it for? Really anyone looking for a supplement to improve skin health but especially great for those with acne. 💊What’s in it? A whole bunch so here’s a quick run through: bacterial obstructing zinc, anti inflammatory selenium, hormone regulating B6, structural protein supporting B5, anti inflammatory and redness reducing niacinamide, anti inflammatory and cell recovering omega 3, sebum regulating chromium, and probiotics for gut health (I never say gut unless I’m talking about probiotics). The cap in cap allows the other ingredients to be suspended in a capsule of omega 3. 💊 My thoughts? I’ve only been using this for about a week so I’m sure I haven’t seen the full results (ZitSticka claims about 3 months for the your body to become fully acclimated) but I will say my skin has been very clear and bright. I’m currently PMSING and my skin is usually a MESS when I’m PMSING and it’s been mostly clear with the exception of one pimple in the dead center of my nose. I’m excited to see the results as I continue to use these and I have to say the capsules themselves as the packaging are beautiful and were so fun to photograph.
My hormonal cystic acne cure!
I had flawless skin, as long as I was on the bc pill. I had great skin until my 20s, then the chin acne started. 😢the pill fixed everything! The cystic acne, cramping, moodiness etc. BUT, every time I would get off, the underground monsters would appear about 1-2 months later. Now in my 40s, I shouldn’t be on the pill. So, I had to find my new solution. If you get cystic acne you know how bad it is. This type of acne is clinically categorized as THE WORST FORM OF ACNE. Why? Because it’s not due to dirty skin- it’s caused internally by a hormonal perfect storm. These suckers are deep under the surface, therefore there is nothing you can put on topically to heal it. This acne is painful, it lasts forever and it leaves marks. It’s impossible to cover because it’s large and swollen. It’s the worst. I even had cortisone shots a few times with great success, then I started to get indentations in the injection sites. No more shots! Dermatologists recommended Spironolactone for my acne in place of the pill. Spiro, as its known, has mixed reviews and comes with side effects . Feeling defeated I decided to - reluctantly- give it a try. One week in and I stopped. I felt dizzy and out of it. No thanks! Other things I tried - various herbal supplements that would work for awhile and then stop. GETTING TO THE POINT - I decided to try FLO as a last resort. I had nothing to lose at this point. In case you haven’t heard, they are gummies made specifically to help with PMS and acne. They taste surprisingly good and guess what - they worked for me!! My acne would start about one week pre menses. I got it on my chin but also on my neck and upper back. Sometimes my chest would break out in normal sized pimples. It took a good 2 weeks for the cysts to shrink down, then about 1.5 weeks later, the new round would come in. What a vicious cycle! One month into FLO the acne improved dramatically! I thought it was too good to be true. Second month, I got one cystic pimple on my chin and thought ok, maybe the first month was a fluke. I kept going, knowing the body takes time to balance. Now, about 5 months in my skin is free of acne. I get an occasional pimple but they stay small and heal quickly. The cystic style acne is gone! As if that isn’t enough, my cycle is regulated, the cramps are minimal, if at all, I don’t notice a mood change, my boobs don’t become giant swollen painful melons, and my FLO is lighter. Amazing!! The secret? Dong Quai, chasteberry, and lemon balm. I know of these herbs separately, and all are well known female herbal treatments, but this is some kind of magic combo that really, really works. #FLO - PMS Gummy Vitamins[products]#[FiveStars] If you are suffering, give it a try, but be patient. It may be months before you see results. Hang in there! The enzymes gently eat away dead cells! Perfect!

The BEST lash serum!!!
#Evenvy - Lash Conditionner[products]#[FiveStars] is amazing!! i started using it in July. Within a couple weeks I could see a difference but around the 3 month mark (the photos) was the biggest difference! I get so many compliments on my lashes now and always get asked if they’re extension! When I put mascara on I use a super thin coat of either use the #EvEnvy - Fiber Mascara[products]#[FourStars] or the L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Mascara just to thicken my lashes a bit. The before photo is super old from like 2015- it’s the only photo of my lashes i could find and I have 3 coats of my fave mascara back then.
DIY for strong looking nails! 🧄
-hi! Thanks for reading me in advance. 🥰✨- This is a simply DIY to make your nails grow stronger and look healthier. Fall and winter means weak, brittle finger nails for me. That’s why I have been using these useful Ingredients that I add in my clear nail polish to apply it weekly. ✌🏻 What do I need? A clear nail polish 1 garlic clove (or if you are lazy like me just use the ones that already come chopped 🤪) 1 Lemon slice Virgin olive oil Directions: Add three drops of virgin olive oil in the nail polish. Close it, and shake it a little bit. Olive oil helps to repair damaged nails and cuticles. After this, proceed to add 3 drops of lemon juice. ONLY THREE! OKAY!?. And a little shake again. If you put more you might ended up messing the nail polish consistency. Just like I did my first time. 😢 Lemons are a source of vitamin C, and they are great for getting rid of yellowish nails caused for excessive use of nail polish without a base coat. As a final step, add the garlic clove already chopped. Remember the little shake. Garlic is reach in selenium, which it will helps to make your nails grow stronger. After everything is added to the clear nail polish. I let the nail polish rest between 4-5 days to let the ingredients melt into the product and the garlic to work too. Idk why in specific this is needed, but it looks like it has been a crucial step to make this DIY work. 🤨 Try to apply it once a week, and you will notice your nails growing with a healthier look. I noticed the results in my second week. 🥰 In case you are not open to this DIY, you can simply purchase the Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener . But I am just trying to make all of us save some money too 😛 Have a nice day! Let me know if this worked for you or if you will try it! 😋💖

Get your nails to grow faster and stronger like never before!
Nail growth can be as stubborn as growing out your hair! It feels like it takes forever and checking up on them every day just makes the whole waiting time worse! Keep in mind that nails are not really meant to grow extremely fast, and are connected to your general well being. ‘Healthy you’ equals ‘healthy nails’ - it’s just how it is!
Dermatologist’s Tips for Starting Adapalene
Adapalene is my go-to retinoid for beginners! Why? It’s prescription strength, clinically proven to improve acne, hyperpigmentation and acne scars. It’s also the gentlest of the prescription-strength retinoids and one of the most stable, meaning that it can be used during the daytime and at the same time as benzoyl peroxide. And to top it all off, it’s now available over the counter! Here’s how to get started: Take it slow! Adapalene, like other retinoids, can cause irritation and purging in the first few weeks. The easiest was to avoid this is to start slowly. Start out applying it 2-3 days per week and gradually work up to daily application. A little Dan is all you need! You don’t need to be bathing in adapalene to see good results. In fact, applying the correct amount (a pea-size) will help ensure that you’re getting the benefits without increasing the risk of irritation. I like to take my pea-sized amount and dab it on the forehead, nose, chin and both cheeks before spreading to ensure even application. Slap on a moisturizer first! Another way to make adapalene more tolerable is applying it AFTER moisturizer. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but some studies done with other retinoids indicate that applying moisturizer first decreases irritation with no impact on effectiveness. I swear by this method myself. Be patient! Like with any change to your skincare routine, don’t expect to see substantial results until at least 6 weeks of consistent use. It might be hard due to irritation and purging but try to power through – the benefits are worth it. Most importantly... Adapalene can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so don’t skimp on the SPF, hats, sunglasses and protective clothing. Though I know you’re doing that already Which one to choose? There’s not an easy answer on this one. Most over the counter adapalene gels are similar. I’ve used and enjoyed both La Roche-Posay and Differin’s versions.
