Skincare trends! Do you follow, skip, or wait for others to give you their honest opinion? Well if you said the latter then I am here to tell you all about this superfood skincare trend and more specifically the kale, green tea, and spinach superfood trend 🥬🥬🥬! The way I found out about this trend was by searching on Instagram and seeing what my fellow beauty bloggers were sharing!
For reference, I have oily combo skin with subtle dry patches during the winter season! At the moment my skin is relatively clear with large pores as my main concern.

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
Vegan
Cruelty free
Gluten free
What it is:
A lightweight gel-cream with Kale extracts (phytonutrients, vitamin C/E/K), green tea extracts (antioxidants) and hyaluronic acid. It claims to help fight free radicals and also replenish and support healthy skin barrier. $48/60mL (2 oz).
Texture:
Lightweight gel cream. Not greasy. Absorbs fast. Smells light and refreshing.
My experience:
It was one of my favorite moisturizers back when my skin was more oily and I didn’t have to deal with NYC winter nor staying inside with heat blowing on my face 24/7.
That being said, I still like it a lot. I love the texture and the scent. It helps with my redness too. I think it’ll be a great summer moisturizer for me (mid 20s, combination textbook skin). But right now, it doesn’t lock in as much moisture as I need it to.

YTTP Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
This stuff is so great! I’ve been breaking out lately and my regular oil cleansers just didn’t cut it. I think my skin might just be purging because it wasn’t used to so much oil but who knows. But this definitely helped get rid of a lot of those breakouts. This is also so gentle it didn’t strip my skin which honestly shocked me because a lot of “gentle” cleansers absolutely kill my skin. But this is super! I read from someone’s review on here that this is an oil based cleanser according to the YTTP website but I couldn’t find out if that was true or not 🤷🏻♀️

Current morning & night routine ☀️🌙
Hey beauties! I wanted to share my current skin routine for morning & night, since I've updated it with some new products that I'm enjoying and it's been working for me. Hope it works for you too! :)
☀️Morning:
1. I typically don't wash my face since all I did was sleep and I do this routine pretty soon after I wake up. So the first step is really to use almost a whole pump of OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum on my whole face
2. Then I use about a dime sized amount of myKiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream
3. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom goes on my lips - I prefer either fig, birthday, berry or coconut
4. Volia! That's easy :)
🌙Evening:
1. Cleanse my face in the shower using a half pump of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
2. After my shower, I sometimes use my facial roller (it's SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Rollerand Idk what to rate it as since it's the only one I have)
3. Next is the serum - depending on what's the issue; if it's acne:Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, redness and/or irritation: Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, or just feels ok / needs a little something to smooth out or be more hydrated: TATCHA - The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment
4. If I want to use an eye cream, I go with the Ole Henriksen banana bright eye creme from this set: OLE HENRIKSEN - Let's Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set it's a half size one and the set is only $40
5. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom again because it's hydrating enough for me (yes my lips do get dry since they're a little chapped when I wake up, but I don't think I necessarily need a lip mask)
6. Of course, the last step is a facial spray, and it's always my Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spraybc I can't live without it.
In case you're curious, the total price for my routine is $363!! (that includes all the products I mentioned) 🤯

A Cleanser that works
Youth to the people
I’m three weeks in and my face has literally never been nor felt better.
If anyone would tell me 2 years ago that I will be able to go about without a single splash of makeup on I would have told them to hit the train.
Cleansers naturally help to clean out your pores but this particular cleanser helps to prevent not cure PREVENT build up in pores, breakouts or blemishes and also supports a PH balance for the skin.
It’s compatible with all skin types and those with sensitive skin as well.
For stronger results use with a good moisturizer, serum (if you need to) and drink enough H20

Unpopular opinion...
This cleanser has been lauded by influencers everywhere and I see good reviews any time I look. With all this positive information I figured I had to give it a try. However I didn’t want to invest, as it is pricy, before I knew that it was going to work for me. After all for that price it would have to be the best cleanser I ever used, cleansers are usually the cheapest part of my routine. I really appreciate that youth to the people create travel size version of their products as it allowed me to try out this product, I love when companies do this. When I got my hands on this I was very excited until I tried it... first impression is I don’t like the smell which is very earthy medicinal, then I noticed that it really dried out my skin. All in all this cleanser really didn’t work for me. However it might work for people with oilier skin.
As I mentioned I really like that youth to the people offer travel size products to try out. I also like that their products are cruelty free, packaged in glass, which is easily recycled, and they use nature ingredients. Personally I am happy to use synthetic or natural ingredients as long as the companies align with my values but I always appreciate companies that are ingredient driven.
Packaging:
I love the glass packaging and the pump on the full size looks very convenient.
Texture:
The green gel is cute and it lathers very well.
Price:
This comes in 3 sizes. 2oz for $16 cad, 8oz for $47 cad and 16oz for $85 cad.
Effectiveness:
This cleanser definitely cleans the skin, however for me it was too stripping and left my skin uncomfortably dry.
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser overall this is probably a cleanser that would be great for someone who doesn’t have dry skin. Between my stripped experience and the price I will not be re-buying.

More Reviews
Do they live up to they hype??
My skin type is combination oily, but my skin can lean more dry whenever the seasons change or just randomly on its own. My skin concerns are acne and dehydration. I decided to review two extremely hyped products!
.
CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
Key Ingredients: Free of Phthalates (according to Sephora site; they make plastic more flexible and softer). But does contain Polyethylene (adds slip feel, but is plastic and not none how it effects marine wildlife).
Scent: Plastic-like scent to me
Price: $9.50 for 1 oz / 30 mL; $30 for 3.8 oz / 125 mL
Experience: A cleansing balm is used on dry skin, so I’ve had experiences with other ones where mascara is extremely hard to remove or impossible. This one easily cuts through even my most difficult mascaras with little effort. It also removes eyeliner with little scrubbing along the lash line. It takes only a little amount of product to remove an entire face of makeup because the slipperiness makes it easy to spread around the face and only use a small amount of product. This works perfect as a first cleanse and I have no residue when I use my toner (which you shouldn’t or that means your cleansing system isn’t working properly).
Like it/Recommend: I definitely enjoy this product, it’s one of the easiest ways to remove makeup and not have any traces left behind. I am apprehensive to recommend though due to the presence of polyethylene and it’s unknown effect on marine wildlife. I’m also hesitant to recommend due to the high price, I feel like I can find a cheaper makeup remover that does a similar job.

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi
Key Ingredients: Squalane (mimics your skin’s natural oils to boost skin hydration while minimizing the risk of clogged pores), Ashwagandaha (helps reduce visible signs of fatigue), and Fermented Reishi (works to hydrate, detoxify, and combat premature signs of aging).
Scent: Natural, like almost clay, but not sure how to describe it. Isn’t overwhelming.
Price: $58 for 2 oz / 60 mL
Experience: It’s a lightweight moisturizer that delivers on moisturizing without feeling heavy or clogging my pores. It might not be moisturizing enough for dry skin in the summer, but when my skin has been dry (for my combo oily skin), it’s done a great job of relieving it. It hasn’t made me breakout, even when using it both morning and night. It does take some time to sink all the way in, but definitely worth it. Even though the color looks tinted, I haven’t noticed that it leaves a tint on my skin. I also really appreciate the glass packaging so that’s it can be repurposed or recycled easier.
Like it/Recommend: I do really like this product and recommend it because it is a very lightweight moisturizer but delivers a great amount of moisture without making my skin feel heavy or oily. It is pretty pricey, so I would pick it up on sale and can be used as an AM and PM moisturizer.

Soothing & Calming Skincare for Sensitive Skin💧
𝐄𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞’𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 is formulated specifically for people with sensitive skin. The collection comprises of fifteen different products which are made with gentle ingredients like 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 to strengthen skin protein, 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 to help relieve redness, 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 to offer antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The line doesn’t contain dyes, essential oils, or fragrances making it the perfect solution to restore skin barrier to its healthy balance. I have tried five products from the collection so far. Let me share my thoughts on them:
ETUDE - Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser
With a pH level of 6.5, this cleanser claims to reduce friction on the skin, leaving it feeling healthy and clean.
This is a simple effective product. The foam gently cleans and soothes, without irritating or drying out sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling clean. I think it'll be a lil drying for those who have dry skin.
ETUDE - SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner
Formulated with medicinal scutellaria baicalensis (chinese skullcap) root extract, this toner relieves, revitalizes, and soothes the skin making it perfect for warmer weathers.
This toner is just like water. To be honest, I did not notice any changes using this. But if you’re someone who likes doing the 7 skin method, you may want to try this. It’s VERY gentle and non-irritating - has glycerin, soothing colloidal oatmeal, and various anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory antioxidants. I think it will be nice to use on warm summer days, a good way to ensure mid-day hydration when you feel your skin needs it.
ETUDE - Soon Jung 10-Free Moist Emulsion
This emulsion has a pH level of 6 which helps target dry or stressed skin.
I loved this emulsion. It is so lightweight and absorbs very quickly, perfect to pat on a damp face before doing the rest of your routine. This leaves skin soft but almost with no product feel. It is not very occlusive but I think this alone can be enough in the summer for oily skin.
ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
This contains dust defense which strengthens skin resistance and protects it from any harmful external particles. It is also formulated with shea butter and oil complex to deliver moisture to skin.
I expected this cream to be very thick in consistency but surprisingly, it was not. My oily skin loved it. This spreads well and absorbs in 10 minutes, does not feel heavy at all, but seals in every ingredients you put on skin nicely. Overall, a great product to add moisture without risking irritation or flaring breakouts.
ETUDE - SoonJung Cica Balm-Panthensoside 5
This gel-type balm is formulated with dust defense and panthenoside to restore and regenerate healthy skin.
This, again, is not as thick as I expected it to be. But I loved it! I enjoyed using this as an eye cream and a moisturizer around my mouth area which becomes dry sometimes. It feels very smooth, just melts on the skin and is non-greasy. This gives an immediate soothing effect. This will work great for people with dry skin or for those who don’t want a thick ointment like petrolatum to use on dry patches.
Overall, I really liked the products I’ve tried so far. I have received about 5 trial boxes, I actually haven’t finished them all, but i’m most likely gonna buy some full sizes afterward. I can highly recommend this line. Very sensitive skin-friendly and offer great value for the quality.

I Used Up These 2⃣ Hyped Products, Here Is What Happened👉👉
I recently used up several skincare products. I noticed that these two products are pretty hyped these days, so here is my honest review. I hope this is helpful. 👇
Youth To The People focuses on natural organic ingredients. I love their idea of using recyclable packaging and being cruelty-free.
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Limited Edition Pride Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
Main ingredients: Vitamin B5, vitamin C, kale leaf extract, spinach leaf extract and green tea leaf extract.
Among the ingredients, the cleansing ingredient is considered gentle. Vitamin B5 and vitamin C provide a moisturizing and whitening effect while the various superfood extracts have great anti-oxidant and anti-microbial properties.
Feeling: It smells really nice, doesn't create a lot of foam and can be washed off easily. It's suitable for oily skin but I don't recommend it for those with dry skin as it leaves your skin dry after it's washed off. There's nothing special about it except for its nice scent.
TATCHA
TATCHA - The Water Cream
Main ingredients: Rice ferment filtrate, green tea and algae. Rice bran keeps the skin hydrated, soothes it, and keeps it healthy.
Feeling: I don't really like it as it contains exfoliating particles, causing my skin to break out in acne after using it just once. It has a jelly-like gel texture with beads that burst when it's rubbed into the skin. Simply massage it in until fully absorbed. I've read online that it's moisturizing, anti-aging and it minimizes the appearance of pores, but I didn't experience the latter two effects. It's quite moisturizing though, so I think it's suitable for both oily and dry skin.
Have you used any of these products? How do you like it? Let me know😉
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Limited Edition Pride Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
JAPANESE BEAUTY.
TATCHA!! I have never bought this product because I was afraid it would not work for my skin but I recently got this and let me tell you how much I love it🙌 The set I got has the deep cleanser as well as a water cream. The deep cleanser is marketed as a purifying cleanser that has natural fruit exfoliant. This product gently’s lifts the skin and balances the skins moisture.
The water cream is a anti aging oil free moisturizer that releases a burst of skin improving nutrients. This cream hydrated the skin and smooths the skin as well. These products feels just perfect when you apply it on the skin and feels very light. I love this product and this is something everyone should try. These product can really work wonders for the skin. The products cost about $40-$80 depending on the size of the product. I decided to try this because I always wanted to try it so I finally bought it!! It’s very hydrating and has not made me break out at all. Highly recommended for everyone!! 5 full stars 🌟

Perfect travel kit from Youth to the People
Girl you KNOW I love a good skincare set. Especially one that lets me try new products (with a budget price) OR allows me to have convenient travel sizes when I travel.
This kit (the Youth Mini Duo YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Cleanser + Cream Youth Duo Mini ) from Youth to the People has been available on YTTP’s website for over 2 years! It contains mini sizes of their cleanser & their lightweight moisture cream. I had previously tried their cleanser, which I LOVE (see below) but I hadn’t tried their moisture cream so I was excited to purchase this set!
For $20 (this doesn’t have an advertised “value of”) I think this is a great deal! Plus their packaging is able to be recycled and up cycled!
Here are my thoughts on each individual product:
Cleanser: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser 5/5
Likes: this cleanser is so hydrating omg. It has a very slight lather from its thick gel consistency and washes away for a squeaky clean finish (similar to bar soap) but it doesn’t feel drying at all. It is a great basic cleanser that doesn’t upset sensitive skin!
Dislikes: WOW this smells very heavily of kale! Very earthy. I dislike that it doesn’t have a pump but it is a small inconvenience.
Moisture cream: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream 5/5
Likes: this cream...omg. It is such a UNIQUE experience. The cream itself is very light and airy, absorbing into the skin so fast! It did leave a somewhat matte appearance to my skin but no dry feeling. In fact, my skin felt EERILY soft. I was like? What? This is MY SKIN? Not a baby’s butt? Plus I always get wary of products with natural ingredients because they often set off my sensitive skin. Well, not this baby!
Dislikes: again, the scent is VERY herbaceous + earthy. It doesn’t linger for long but wow. It does not smell pleasant.
Have you tried anything from Youth to the People?
