Solid Primer 👌🏼 for less than $20
I don’t know about y’all but I use to wear makeup six days a week pre COVID circumstances. My work closed for two weeks and then started back up with us working remotely from our homes. That was back in March and now in July I am back to wearing makeup 3-4 times a week 🙌🏼! I absolutely love wearing makeup so the sudden change in my routine caused me to actually forget my makeup routine! Like y’all I always start of with my eyebrows and then the first time I got back into wearing my beauty items I started with my foundation - no big deal for some but it through me off 100% 😭! Anywho, since I was home I decided to play around with items I had but had not gotten around to using. For example, my touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer

Primerize me, Cap’n! 🦜
Good evening, everyone! Been a busy week for me, so sorry for lack of posts. I got a new mini lighting booth for my Poshmark store and wanted to test it out tonight. Pretty pleased so far 😁 Here are three primers that I’m currently playing with. My tried and true is the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I honestly don’t use it under makeup; I use it to blur my skin and then use translucent powder over it to keep me from getting oily on “no makeup” days. I love the illumination of the pearl version as I still get a healthy little glow going. I’ve yet to try the Laneige one, but have wanted to for a while now. Thankfully, Sephora has been offering samples with orders so I got a couple. The TIS one is a classic Korean primer. It’s probably the only one that has ever worked for me under makeup. My combo skin typically just breaks down any and all primers, so I never use them under makeup. Remember to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘
90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner
The best foundation for my skin tone
This is my all time favorite foundation and I have tried so many. I have been using it for over a year now and I don’t plan on switching any time soon. It is intended for really any skin type and has excellent coverage that lasts all day. It makes my skin looks so clear and so natural and does not feel heavy on my face at all. My favorite part about this foundation is that the color is perfect. My skin tone is on the lighter side of an olive complexion. I have had a lot of problems with foundations looking too orange but this one is the perfect neutral. It is a little bit more on the expensive side but it is worth every penny to me. A little goes a long way too, so you can definitely make this bottle last! LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation

Unpopular Opinion: BUT I’D RATHER GET COAL..
This seems to be the holy grail of concealer- everywhere you turn someone new is talking/uainf this concealer and I gave into the hype. I’m sorry but this is just not something I can get behind. It was too heavy, I wasn’t sure how to control it and make it work, and I just didn’t think it was worth the price tag when SO many other concealers do a better job. It’s worth trying out yourself because MANY love it but I’m not a fan at all 🤷🏽♀️😓

Spotlight on my latest foundation purchase, ctilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation. I have worn it a couple of times now and so far I am loving it! Gone are the days that I sport a full face (unless it’s the odd night out in the town), but still like what full coverage, long wearing foundations have to offer. I find that you can always sheer out the full coverage and make the finish more dewy by adding an illuminating primer, which in this case I use the Hollywood Flawless Filter. I can still get oily throughout the day so like it if a foundation is long wearing. I am going out for dinner this weekend so will trying it more high coverage and see how it holds, the dim lighting will be forgiving if it does end up cakey! 😂

Perfect for me!
URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation Let’s talk about a foundation that I have found that is perfect for my skin tone. The stain a good foundation from urban decay is absolute perfection for my skin tone. I am very fair and tend to lean towards foundations that have pink undertones because I find that they bring out a little glowyness to my face. This foundation is a light to medium coverage but is buildable. For me it gives me just the right amount of glow that I’m looking for.

One of my favourites!
FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation I use this foundation almost everyday! The coverage is perfect (medium but buildable) and the smell- omg so good! Would definitely recommend ❤️❤️

FULL COVERAGE PLEASE 🤍✨
This has been my favourite full coverage combo when I am doing a full glam look. I got this combo idea from Jaclyn Hills video of her raving about how much she loves these two foundations together. In all honestly I did not purchase them because of the video I already had these products in my beauty drawer once I saw the video and decided to give it a try. I FELL IN LOVE🤍 I am on the drier side when it comes to my skin and have a slight olive skin tone , but the combination of these two foundations on me give me such an incredible dewy finish (obviously along with a really hydrating primer as well). 😋✨ HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick I tried the vanish stick once on its own and didn’t like it as much because it emphasizes a lot of my textures on my face and was really hard to blend. I decided to put it away in my drawer without it really giving it another shot, however when I tried it with the Dior foundation it honestly changed everything for me. Not only this, but updating my skin care routine (and exfoliating once a week) made me LOVE 🤍 this foundation. Because it is a stick foundation it can sometimes be hard to blend because of the streakiness when it comes to applying it, but when adding the Dior foundation overtop it gives it a liquid layer that makes it easier to blend together and into your skin (If that made any sense)😂 If you are looking for something easy to apply and medium to full coverage I think the stick would be perfect for you because it’s compact and it’s very simple as just applying 2-3 streaks to your face to cover everything. The foundations are extremely full coverage, which is why I only ever apply it when I want to look full glam. You can build these foundations up or keep at 1 layer, I find 1 layer of this is enough for me🤷🏻♀️😛 #Dior - Dior skin Forever Fluid foundation[products]#[FiveStars] Now the Dior skin foundation was actually my friends foundation that she gave to me because she didn’t like it.... YEAH I KNOW😨 but I’m here giving it 5-stars. This is because with or without the hourglass foundation I’m obsessed with this one. It does oxidize a bit, but not to a point where it’s a completely different colour then my neck because we definitely don’t want that 😂😂. It has a very hydrating and dewy finish to the face and it can be build up depending on how full coverage you want. I would definitely recommend this product BEFORE recommending the hour glass vanish stick because I know this one works and is reliable. 👏🏼 I think this Dior foundation is definitely worth the price not so much as the Hour glass foundation, which is $61.00 CAD! 😫 you would be paying a couple dollars extra to get a better foundation (ranging from $68.00 CAD) I absolutely love applying these two together because I know when I do I’m always getting a full coverage and hydrated look. Nothing that is dry or flaky, trust me I’ve had that before I hope this review helped🤍✨
