Battle of the Creams: Cerave v. First Aid Beauty
I used Cerave Moisturizing Cream at night for the past 3 years, but in March, I got sucked into skincare Youtube and felt like I needed to upgrade what I thought was a boring insufficient routine 😅 I heard such good things about the FAB Ultra Repair Cream, and bought a travel size. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration
Texture: the texture is quite whipped. The product feels a bit heavy on the skin at first, but dries down quickly to a matte finish.
Scent: this product does not contain synthetic fragrance, but it does contain eucalyptus oil. To me, the product smells like milk and eucalyptus.
Application: the travel size (2 oz) comes in a squeeze tube, as does the 8 oz. The other sizes come in tubs.
Results: For ~3 months, I used the FAB day and night as my moisturizer. At night, I would mix it with 2-3 drops of squalane oil. At first, my skin loved it! Unlike many of the other daytime moisturizers I tried, FAB kept my skin hydrated all day and I wouldn’t be peeling or flaking on the parts of my skin that are dry. I liked it so much that after I ran out of the 2oz, I spent $42 on the 8oz tube in the photo. But I started to get small, uniform itchy bumps on my cheeks—which was unusual because I rarely break out there. I saw my dermatologist, who confirmed that it was fungal acne ☹️ To be honest, I’m not sure if it was the squalane oil I was using or the FAB that was causing this, but after reading other reviews that claimed FAB caused fungal acne, I suspect it was the FAB that did it for me. Plus I have used the Cerave with squalane, and didn’t experience fungal acne from that.CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin
Texture: this product is a heavy cream, but it is tacky rather than greasy. It sinks nicely into the skin and has a slightly shiny, glazed donut finish. To me, it feels too heavy to use during the day, but I like that feel for nighttime.
Scent: this product is scentless and doesn’t have any synthetic fragrance or fragrant oils.
Application: the full-size version of this product comes in a tub, but you can buy one with the pump or without. I prefer the pump so I don’t have to dip my fingers in the tub (even though it is safe to do so thanks to preservatives 🙂).
Results: I have used this cream for 3 years and have never had any irritation or acne from this product. I have tried mixing serums and squalane into this, and they mix nicely without pilling. I will say that everyone’s skin is different—I am combo/acne prone, my bf has dry skin and Cerave stings his skin. So as always, you may want to buy a small size and patch test. Price-wise, Cerave is much cheaper at $15 for 12oz.🚨 Overall thoughts: What I learned was the same thing @lilyclinton and @veedim said in lily’s review of Cerave vs FAB (go read! I was like, “YES, THANK YOU!” 😂): more expensive doesn’t always mean it’s a better product!

Krave - The Beet Shield $20 for 50 ml Only pros with this one! No white cast, not too greasy, not drying, sits well under makeup, completely unscented, and spf 50+++! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel $14.99 for 13.52 oz This cleanses my skin thoroughly without being overly drying or stripping. Gentle enough to be used on eye makeup too! CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin $18.99 for 16 oz Super hydrating but not too thick or pore clogging. Dries slightly matte so it works well under makeup too. Can be used on the whole body VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW $17.99 for 4 oz This has lactic acid, glycolic acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid and vitamin c to exfoliate and brighten. I use this several times a week in the morning and notice my skin is sooo much brighter since I began using it. Not irritating at all, despite all of the different active ingredients. Also love the pump bottle top THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm $9.99 for 5 oz I love that this one comes in a tube instead of a jar! Much more sanitary and easier to get out. This removes all my makeup easily, even lipstick and mascara, and rinses off without leaving any kind of film behind. indeed LABORATORIES - In-Circadian Night Mask $24.99 for 1.7 oz Okay yes this one is more than $20, but it’s sold at Ulta and there are always great coupons that would make it under $20 when used. A night mask is just a thick moisturizer, but this one can also be layered over your regular moisturizer in colder months, or if you have extra dry skin. This mask is super hydrating and sinks into the skin super well so it won’t get on your pillow while you sleep #cheriepartner
THIS CLEARED MY ACNE IN 3 MONTHS!(IM IN LOVE )
Ok the title may be a bit dramatic but seriously back in June or July I started noticing I got serious case maskne I was very depressed about it was spending $60-100$ on skincare and it didn’t do crap :( I thought drying lotion and biore was doing it for me , and it wasn’t at all my skin was so overwhelmed with all the things I was putting on it until I went back to basics and subscribed to curology (that didn’t last long btw) the products - CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater sukin - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 50ml DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 1. First I wash my face with CeraVe Pat dry with a paper towel next I take a cotton pad and drench it in witch hazel ( I know witch hazel is iffy for some people but it works for me and it really improved my skin care routine all the years I’ve had acne . I use CeraVe Moisturizer Cream + Azalaic Acid I used Curology for 3 months , it improved my skin texture blemishes and overall pimples however it got expensive and I started to use alternatives as the weeks went on , Azelaic was in my prescription (4%, I use 10% now ) That combo is a bit drying even if CeraVe says it’s moisture 😩so I usually spray my face with rose water spray (there’s no real benefits to it I just like doing it tbh ), after that I slap my face with rose hip oil , the best thing /oil ive ever purchased I spent years thinking oil meant acne and breakouts I just had to find the right oil and it’s rose hip it’s a game changer my maskne scars are completely gone .

Love it or hate it?
Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream I’m always trying new products and after my bad experience with FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration I was unsure about trying a new moisturizer, but I only have one which is great CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream and I want one for the day and one for the night, so I found this one from KRAVEBEAUTY and I love it! Very simple ingredient list, hydrating, feels great when I put it on my skin, not sticky feeling and absorbs quickly 🥰❤️ 5/5 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Easy AM-PM Routine for you 🧴⭐️🔑
☀️ AM ☀️ 1️⃣ Cleanser : 🔑Start your hydrating skin-care routine off right with this any Face wash. It’s a non-foaming, gentle cleanser packed with ingredients like glycerin and orange oil. It’s a great option for anyone with dry and sensitive skin. 2️⃣Toner : 🔑 You should use your toner only and only after you have thoroughly cleansed your skin. Take 2-3 drops of a toner on a cotton pad and wipe it on your face. Make sure that the cotton pad does not absorb too much of the liquid and is able to transfer it to your skin. 3️⃣Antioxident Serum : 🔑 Using an antioxidant serum every morning can protect your skin from the environmental attack and slow down the process of aging. You should slather on a few drops of a good antioxidant serum right after cleaning your face and before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. 4️⃣ Eye Balm /Cream : 🔑 Use only a small amount. "When you yawn, it will push it up by the tears and when you rub your eyes it will press it in by your fingers. Make sure you leave a clear area around the eyes when applying cream and only apply to the bone area."THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream 5️⃣ Acne treatment: 🔑 it’s up to you that you want to use acne treatment at morning or no but if you have bad acne problem you can use acne cream or gel for your cure. 6️⃣ Moisturizer: 🔑There is no such thing as skin that is too hydrated, and your sunscreen should not be the stand-in for moisturizer. These two products serve vastly different purposes and are not interchangeable, no matter how moisturizing your sunscreen claims to be. 7️⃣ sunscreen: 🔑 Daily sun protection is as important as drinking water and paying your parking tickets on time, so there are zero excuses for not doing it. Use after moisture your face . 8️⃣ Makeup : 🔑 if your like makeup by profession you can do makeup after your skincare routine but I just prefer myself without makeup .HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette 🌙PM🌓 1️⃣: Makeup remover : Apply an oil-based makeup remover to dry skin and massage gently until the product melts into a liquid form.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover 2️⃣Cleanser : 🔑 No matter how dry your skin, gentle cleansing at night is essential. Makeup, sunscreen, bacteria, dead skin cells, dirt, and oil build up on your face during the day. They can work their way into your pores, causing inflammation. Wash gently without scrubbing to avoid irritating your skin. acne.org - Acne.org Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Refill 3️⃣:Toner 🔑 Place toner onto a cotton ball or the tips of your fingers and massage into your face, neck and décolletage in circular motion. Humphrey's - Humphrey's Witch Hazel Facial Toner 4️⃣ Serum / Treatment: 🔑 Sleeping serums offer everything you need to give your skin eight hours of rejuvenation. Massage into your face, neck and décolletage. ESTĒE LAUDER - The Night Is Yours Repair Serum + Eye Creme 5️⃣Acne treatment:🔑 use your favorite cream or gel for your acne treatment . #Rugby - Acne medication 5[products]#[FourStars] 6️⃣Moisture / Night cream : 🔑 Put a dot of product on your forehead, nose, chin and each cheek . Once the dots are on, simply massage your night cream into your skin in an upward and outwards motion. Once all of the product has been massaged into your skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration 7️⃣ Lip mask : 🔑 Most lip masks recommend exfoliating your lips first, especially if your lips are a bit shaggy with dry skin. You can use a lip scrub, or you can simply rub a wet washcloth over them to help remove dead skin. Dry your lips. Before applying the lip mask, your lips need to be dry.LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Boring 🥱 but effective ☺️
🤍I have almost no complaints about this product other than the fact that I’m BORED by it. I heard James Welsh say something similar in one of his videos and it’s that for people like me skincare is a hobby/passion and this product doesn’t particularly excite me as a skincare junkie. DONT GET ME WRONG. It’s a GREAT PRODUCT. I bought it because my skin barrier was screaming HELP and it did indeed help. But yeah it’s good, gets the job done, and there’s not much more to it. I’m very liberal with how much of this product I apply compared to my other products. 🤍It is a lightweight moisturizer, which I thought would be thicker since it is branded as PM. It shouldn’t clog up your pores. I also use it in the morning sometimes around my eyes and the corners of my nose when they’re sensitive. Texture is good, smells fine, sinks in well to the skin. I use this a lot on my neck! I don’t use this every night, since I feel like sometime I get tiny random breakouts and I think it’s from this product. Not sure. 🤍It contains three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, all of which are super hydrating and are perfect for soothing the skin. Also contains PARABENS, but I’ll leave that up to you guys to have your opinions on it... ♥️CONCLUSION. I think I’ll repurchase this, but mostly to use it on my neck lol and sometimes on my face. It’s good but nothing too special for me. It’s easily accessible from the drugstore. Maybe I’ll try one of their cleansers in the future. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion -J

❄️𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 : 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟑 (𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭) 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬❄️ Sorry for the redundancy but I really love these products 🙈 they’re simple, gentle, effective, affordable and sensitive/oily skin friendly. ~ @Cerave PM moisturizer ~ @Procure Rosacare All in One Treatment ~ @Cerave Night Renewing Cream I certainly couldn't recommend these more!

Not a dupe
I LOVE the Sunday Riley Ice. It’s the only moisturizer that doesn’t sting my sensitive, dry skin. I was told that the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream was a dupe, so I bought it to test it out. It’s not a dupe. It pulls off products underneath, made me break out, and I didn’t feel nearly as moisturized. Perhaps going from Sunday Riley to CeraVe will never be the results we want in the dupe, but this one truly disappointed me. I’m not a die hard Sunday Riley fan, this is really the only product I’ve used from them that I like enough to repurchase. And it looks like for now I will continue repurchasing it, because this CeraVe is NOT a dupe.

Rich Moisturizing Cream for Dry Skin!
Are you looking for an affordable & effective moisturizer for your dry skin? Then you should definitely consider this product! What is it? - CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream acts by effectively hydrating as it helps restore the skin’s protective barrier. Developed with dermatologists and ideal for dry and very dry skin on the face and body, this rich, non-greasy, fast-absorbing moisturizing cream features patented MVE Delivery Technology to release a steady stream of hyaluronic acid and three essential ceramides throughout the day and night. - Suitable for sensitive skin, this oil-free and fragrance-free ceramide cream also helps the skin hold on to moisture while improving its look and feel. - Available in wide variety of sizes (1.89oz-19oz), with prices ranging from $5.49-$18.49. What’s in it? - Ceramides: Essential for healthy skin, ceramides help restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. - Hyaluronic acid: This ingredient attracts hydration to the skin’s surface and helps the skin retain moisture. - Petrolatum: Often referred to as the “gold standard” of occlusive ingredients because it creates a physical barrier that prevents moisture from leaving the skin. - MVE Technology: This patented delivery system continually releases moisturizing ingredients for 24-hour hydration. - Non-comedogenic, oil-free, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin My review- - I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I’m currently treating my acne with clindamycin (AM) and tretinoin (PM). - I purchased this moisturizing cream in hopes that it would hydrate my dry skin and soothe irritation. It has done exactly that. It has a very rich, balmy texture. I prefer to use it at night for that reason, but if my skin needs it, I’ll use it during the day. (I typically use the FAB ultra repair cream as my daytime moisturizer). - It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. Due to the petrolatum, it does form a sort of protective barrier that locks in moisture. It does, however, make it feel a little heavy on the skin. - I would definitely recommend this cream to those dealing with dry skin, whether that’s from winter or treating with actives. CeraVe-Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin
A great gel-cream for acne prone or oily skin
I stumbled upon this in a Shoppers Drug Mart and I was shocked because I had no idea Versed was available in 🇨🇦! I instantly grabbed a bunch of different products to try out. I’m so excited there is another solid & affordable brand to get from the drugstores here. So far, this has been one of my favourite products. Something that I really like about this product / brand is that like most gel creams, they are not for everyone and Versed actually added into their description on the site who this would be best suited for (people dealing with warmer weather or oily / acne prone skin types). It feels very transparent and I’m glad they point this out versus just claiming this hydrates and is good for all skin types. The good: + It’s super lightweight on the skin and didn’t break me out at all. + Once you apply this your skin feels moisturized but not greasy. Just a little dewy like they mention in the name. + Absorbs quickly into the skin and never reacts badly under SPF or makeup. + Even though it doesn’t feel heavy, my skin does stay hydrated throughout the day. + Key ingredients include (listed by highest in the ingredient list to lower): Glycerin (humectant that pulls water in), Squalane (emollient that hydrates the skin & antioxidant), Aloe Leaf Juice (soothes and hydrates), Cammellia sinesis leaf extract (antioxidant from green tea), Jojoba seed oil (another emollient) and Sodium Hyaluronate (an ultimate moisturizer also known as Hyaluronic Acid). + For those with sensitive skin, this has no fragrance. + I think you get a pretty good amount of product in this tube. For $20, you get 60ml of product which is 13ml more than you get with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost. + I actually really like this packaging. This squeezey tube setup feels a little bit more hygienic than the tubs of moisturizer (no hate, I still use those). + Vegan & cruelty-free. The not so good: - As with most affordable gel creams, this might not be enough moisture if you have any dry patches on your face. I do have a couple areas right now that feel a bit drier than usual and I do feel the need to use a hyaluronic acid serum to amp up the hydration. Personally, this doesn’t bug me too much that I need to supplement in those areas, but if you have drier skin you may want to try out another moisturizer that provides more heavy duty moisture. Worth it? For sure. You get a good amount of product (more than the average gel-cream), it has great ingredients, it works and it’s just $20. ☑️ Will I repurchase? I definitely expect to buy this again. It would be so good for travelling and just general everyday routines. I do suspect that come the colder months I will need something a little more heavy duty (can you believe it’s already September!) at night time. But come Spring, I bet it will become a staple in my routine. Ps I have combo, acne prone skin :)
VERSED-DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream
Honestly loving the HONEST Hydrogel Cream
I really wish I could give this 4.5 stars. I have to say, at first I did not like this product. It’s different from my other gel creams in the way that you have to massage this in a little more. At first it looks like a thick white cream which really confused me because it doesn’t look like a gel cream. On top of that, it didn’t absorb into the skin instantly, it stayed a bit white as I applied it so I felt the need to work it into my skin a little more. But then as you massage it into your skin it turns into a more water-like texture that glides so easily over the skin. After trying it a couple times, I became a huge fan. The good: + Key ingredients include: two types of hyaluronic acid and squalane, which is second in the ingredients list which makes me happy. + Oil-free, fragrance-free, and overall just a nice, unalarming ingredients list. + Skin instantly looks so glowy and moisturized. And it stayed moisturized all day and all night. + Affordable and super accessible. I personally got mine at Shoppers Drug Mart. + Absolutely no breakouts / acne so far (I’m almost done the full jar). + I really love the feeling of putting this all over my neck, chest and shoulders - it just glides over the skin so easily and feels refreshing. The not so good: - As I said before you do have the massage this into your skin a little bit, it’s just smidgen more effort and it’s not like it instantly absorbs if you just dot it on. Worth it? It’s a bit more expensive than my go-to Hydro Boost gel cream, but honestly I see sales on this all the time, so it’s usually not by too much. I really do think the product is worth the price though. Will I repurchase? I will, but I do think this would be better for winter for me personally. I feel like if you have normal or dry skin, this could be a great summer or even anytime moisturizer. For my combo / oily skin, I don’t think I necessarily need this much moisture because it’s so humid where I live. So come next winter, for sure! Ps I have combination, acne prone skin :) Pps shout out to my boyfriend’s nerdy solar system poster in the background 🪐
