Switching Seasons Skincare Routine Switches
My skin type is typically combo oily and my skin concerns are acne and dehydration. I’ve incorporated a topical acne treatment from my dermatologist so my skin has been more dry lately. Even when my skin is normally more on the oily side, but even more so now, my skin gets very dry and flaky whenever the seasons change. It’s important to switch your routine around with the seasons because you want to adapt to how your skin is right then, like you want a thicker moisturizer in the cold to lock in and provide moisture rather than in the summer when you just need something lightweight and don’t want something too heavy or you’ll break out. In the summer months I like a foam or gel cleanser since my skin is more oily, but for the winter I like a creamier cleanser because they’re hydrating and better for drier skin types. Also for the summer I like a gel moisturizer because it’s lightweight and perfect for more oily skin, while in the winter I switch it out for a thicker moisturizer. These are the products I’ve mainly been using lately in addition to the topical acne serum. Summer products: SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Cleansing Foam is a foam cleanser that has a very strong and intense coconut scent. It gently cleanses impurities, while the proprietary truffle extract helps to reduce the signs of free radical damage and premature aging of skin. It claims to brighten, hydrate and improve the complexion with daily use. It’s just meh, it dried out my skin if I used it every night and didn’t enjoy the very strong fragrance. The BONAJOUR - Green Tea Water Bomb Cream is a lightweight gel moisturizer that has no scent. It is formulated with green tea and peptides to provide moisture and protect the moisture barrier for up to 72 hours. It leaves behind a dewy finish and provides a good amount of hydration. Fall products: Kate Somerville - Goat Milk Moisturizing Cleanser is a creamy cleanser that has a nice, light goat milk scent. It contains goat milk (to soothe dry, sensitive skin with natural milk proteins), Manuka honey (nourishes skin without any tightness, dryness or irritation), and Jojoba and Avocado Oils (moisturize and condition). This cleanser gently removes dirt, makeup, oil and impurities without stripping skin. This is the perfect AM and second cleanser. Kate Somerville - Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream is a daily cream moisturizer that delivers deep hydration, helps repair damaged skin and creates a gorgeous healthy-looking complexion while also improving the skin barrier function and soothing dry, sensitive skin. It is formulated with a rich blend of Jojoba and Avocado Oils, Lactose from Goat’s Milk, Natural Milk Proteins, Naturally soothing Aloe, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E, and antioxidants. It has a great light scent that smells like goat milk. This is the perfect lightweight cream moisturizer that hydrates and repairs, but isn’t heavy or greasy.

You got ECZEMA?! Overnight healing eczema cream
eczema honey - Nut-Free Skin-Soothing Cream It’s only appropriate to talk about my dry skin in the winter❄️ Personally, I’ve had eczema since I was a baby and it’s always been a struggle to find what products work on my sensitive skin. Unfortunately my eczema is year round, but of course the winter time is the worst. I found eczema honey over a year ago and it has changed my dry skin for the better. Eczema honey co has MANY products to treat eczema and psoriasis, however the skin soothing cream is my favorite. It comes in two forms, one is the original and the other is nut free. 🥜The nut free eczema honey ingredients include organic beeswax, organic pure honey, grape seed oil, and organic sunflower oil. My eczema tends to itch A LOT and this causes me to scratch leaving horrific rashes and scars on my body. I only apply this product at night and when I do I apply a very thick layer on where the eczema is noticeable most. You can apply this as a mask as well, but I find it to work extremely well when left on over night. They say there is no cure for eczema, but eczema honey is definitely a solution to my itchy unwanted problems🍯

High end highlighter ?!
Claims - Dewy , plump, dreamy skin ! My experience - Wonderful highlighter for a awful lot of money 💰 I definitely love the scent and the cream gel texture, it’s totally cooling on the skin, nice and fresh 🥰! Mad props !! It did leave a nice glowy finish on the skin making it “seem” healthy But after washing the face off the moisturizing goodness all goes away ☹️! I expected it to work on my skin making it truly hydrated. But it was rather a cosmetic cream that worked on the surface and made it all seem very nice! While it did nothing.. This is one of those products that really wanted it to work.. But sadly this doesn’t work for me ! Maybe I should try their water gel cream instead ? What are your thoughts ? Light as Air ☁️
The other day I officially finished my second jar of the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream Safe for Sensitive Skin 💙 This is probably one of the most unique moisturizers I’ve ever used. Every time you open it you’re greeted with this cool foamy layer and underneath is the solid, lightweight cream layer. First Aid Beauty claims this light as air moisturizer helps repair the skin barrier (which is so important! This uppermost layer helps protect against Trans Epidermal Water Loss as well as keeping out damaging elements) as well as adding proper hydration. It contains ceramides to strengthen and moisturize, hyaluronic acid to boost skins moisture content as well as plump and smooth the skin, oxygen to help active ingredients penetrate better, and colloidal oatmeal to soothe the skin. I found myself coming back to this moisturizer every time I felt like my skin was getting dehydrated. When I needed a little boost or my skin was irritated for whatever reason this is what I reached for. It’s really cool every time you open it to see the layer of bubbles on top. Underneath is the actual moisturizer which, besides the Glow Recipe Sleeping Mask, is one of the most unique textures I’ve felt. It’s not your typical cream. It almost has this airy, whipped feeling to it. Like the first time you use this it’s going to feel so weird but as it absorbs it feels really lightweight and nourishing. I also suffer from eczema a lot which is why I like First Aid Beauty as a brand so much because they don’t formulate with irritants like fragrance and are safe for eczema prone skin. I received my two jars from gratis but this is something I’d completely purchase in the future.

🌷K-Beauty Skincare Product 🌷
🐯THE PRODUCT🐯 The Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Gel Cream is marketed as an ultra-light hydrating gel cream for oily and combination skin. Dr. Jart is one of the most popular K-Beauty brands in the U.S. This is one of their newer releases and an addition to the revamped Cicapair line! It is targeted at skincare concerns including dryness and redness. It has centella asiatic (tiger grass) to soothe sensitivity as well. It provides lightweight hydration and moisture to irritated or sensitive skin. The texture of this product is a very thin, spreadable gel. It is a pale green color as shown on this cute bag! This bag is from the Cica Rescue Kit. Cica is another name for tiger grass! 🍃MY HONEST OPINION🍃 I wanted to try this because I had first tried the Color Correcting Treatment from this brand, and I thought it was way too thick on my skin, but I loved the idea of tiger grass in skincare. So I tried out this gel cream out and LOVED IT! I’ve been using this for about 6 months. I love this product and always reach for it when my skin feels super sensitive. It allows my skin to breathe while helping to soothe it. This is great for AM and PM use for my skin. I prefer this thin texture to the original Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream. I would definitely recommend this to others who struggle with irritated or sensitive skin. It helps calm redness on the skin, and it smells super refreshing but light. I’m so happy that I have minis to travel with!! It retails for $48 for 50 mL of product which I think is worth the price, but I also think that it is expensive for a more niche moisturizer that I don’t use daily. I just use this when my skin is in need of extra soothing rather than my everyday moisturizer. As far as time/effort, it applies like any other cream so it is quick and easy. It layers really nice over serums and under an oil if you want! I give this a 4/5 ⭐️ rating. I love everything about this gel cream, besides the price, and I wish that Dr. Jart was a cruelty-free skincare brand.

🦋Amazing moisturizer for oily skin🦋
Hi everybody 😊 During the summer months, my skin gets oily, like really oily. I live in the South and being outside in the humidity for even a few minutes can be enough to make anyone start to sweat. When you add makeup to the mix, my face can quickly become an oily mess. On the other hand, I can never go without a moisturizer especially as some one who is always experimenting with different retinoids and chemical exfoliants. (To me moisturizer is the second most important skin care item, behind a good SPF of course). I know if I let my skin lose moisture, it will just overcompensate with more oil. I started using LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Mat Daily Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin during the hot, humid month of August and I’m in love!! This moisturizer is awesome to layer makeup on top of and doesn’t leave me feeling as greasy at the end of the day. This has quickly become a staple product for me during the warmer months, but I don’t think it’s something I will reach for during the winter as I like to amp up the hydration when it’s cold and dry outside. Does your skin care needs change during different times of the year?

Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist
The Dr. Jart Cicapair Calming Mist is the face spray you NEED if you suffer from redness. This mist is for all skin types, and is meant to instantly soothe sensitive skin and deliver relief to dry, red skin. It is an ultra fine mist, with a watery texture, and feels very pleasant on the face due to the fineness of the spray. Using this spray is supposed to help strengthen, balance, and defend skin from irritation. This is such a good mist to use in your skincare routine or throughout the day, as needed. I’ve been using this mist for many months now, especially when my moisture barrier is wrecked and I need serious redness relief. Cica is a great ingredient for redness, so this spray really helps with calming down that irritation. I love how fine the mist is, and how easy it is to use at any time of day. In conjunction with the other Dr. Jart Cicapair items, this mist is a real killer. Another great thing about this mist is how affordable it is! For only $23, you get a great amount of product which should last you a decent amount of time. It’s totally worth the price, no doubt about it. I would recommend this mist to literally anyone and everyone — it will work for all skin tones! It’s perfect to carry in your large purse or backpack and spray throughout the day. Everyone should check it out! Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist
