Makeup Setting Powder or Spray?
GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Travel No.1 This loose powder is actually a travel size of GIVENCHY’s iconic and bestselling loose powder Prisme Libre, and the light purple shade combines the four shades of its most popular color correcting shade Mousseline Pastel, so this four-in-one setting powder actually has the same effect as the original GIVENCHY Prisme Libre. The shade of this powder makes my face fair and clean by correcting the redness and darkness. It delivers a matte finish to the skin, making my skin looks smooth and flawless. My skin type is combination, and it works for me well. I don’t feel dry when using this setting powder, and it’s quite long-lasting to control the oil. This on-the-go case is easy to carry, and the mini puff within the case is so adorable and easy to apply. URBAN DECAY All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I would like to recommend this setting spray from URBAN DECAY highly. This is my first setting spray, and I found that it was amazing. First of it’s incredibly long-lasting, water-proof, and keeps my base on for a whole day. The mist feels so light and fresh. It gives my foundation excellent protection without being heavy or sticky on my face. The complexion is not irritating at all, which is very friendly to sensitive skin. I always spray the mist in the air and let mist falls down on my face to cover every corner. And I usually use it after and also before the foundation to creates dewy finish while lock my makeup look in place. I like the setting powder and the setting spray both, and sometimes I use the setting spray after the setting powder to make the finish less powdery. But I think URBAN DECAY setting spray is better than any other setting powder or spray. It ‘s extraordinary to set my makeup all day long without fading, settling, or creasing into lines.

Mini ulta haul with product tryouts!
I had a few Ulta gift cards burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to get a few new items to try out. The first item I’ve been dying to try is URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I wanted to see if it’s worth the hype/price tag. I like this product, but I’d like to use it a few more times. I’m going to do another post next month comparing several different setting sprays to see how the compare. The next item I used is the MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in shade cheeky coral. I like the shade and it wears nicely. But I did have to layer it to get the color payoff I was looking for. I also got another cult favorite, PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer I absolutely love this product. I love the texture, the smell, the finish. It’s all great, absolutely worth the price. And the last is another eye shadow pallet from profusion! #Profusion Cosmetics - Starlet palette[products]#[FourStars] I love this palette, although the shimmer shades need a wet brush to be impactful. What other make up productions would you like to try out?

Say ‘No’ ❌to greasy hair!
I have had a problem of greasy hair 10 years ago. It was all because I started washing hair every day. Frequent washing couldn’t solve the problem and only made it worse. There are some tips I wanna share about how to get rid of annoying greasy hair and recommend a product to make greasy hair less greasy. First, check on your shampoo, cut out all harsh drying ingredient like alcohol, sulfates, which contains aerosol hairsprays, day shampoos, mists or texturizers. They are unhealthy ingredient for your scalp. Stop using them! Second, wash your hair less. You can try wash it every second day or third day. Maybe you will feel disgusting for the first several times, but day by day, your scalp will get used to the frequency of washing, and produce less oil. I have a friend has tried not wash hair for 10 days, and his hair got less greasy! A brave move! Third, buy some gentle, moisturizing shampoo. Your scalp is like your skin, many people ignore that it also needs caring. If your skin is sensitive or greasy on T zone, you also need gentle skin product to take care of it, so is scalp. Buy sulfate-free shampoo or cleansing conditioners. Lastly, don’t use your hand to touch your hair or scalp! Hands touch almost everything, so they carry bacteria or dust. If you touch your hair and scalp too many times, the bacteria will attach on your scalp, which stimulate it to produce more oil to protect it. The product I am gonna recommend is loose powders. The one I am now using is the GIVENCHY - Prisme Libre Loose Powder. Because it’s already expired, I don’t wanna waste it, so I use it on my hair. This method is called PopSugar, what we need to do is to sprinkle a little powder on greasy roots and rub it through hair shaft until it gets blended. This method can make your hair less greasy at once. Baby powder can be used as an alternative, if your scalp is quite sensitive.
I tried 6 products and got flawless base makeup!
My skin is pretty dry and fair, luckily, I don’t have any concern like wrinkles, pimples or freckles. So, normally I choose light coverage foundation, but in summer I would like to use some medium coverage like the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation, it lasts longer and it’s water-proof, if you sweat in summer your make-up canl keep still on your face. Except that, I will introduce some tips about how to create a flawless look. It’s important to do a good job on pre-makeup if you wanna make your make-up last longer and flawless. You can apply some lotion, cream or even a mask. I usually wear a mask before I start my make-up, the mask I choose is from Eaoron. It contains hyaluronic acid and it keeps your skin hydrated. After mask, you can put on some lotion or cream as a moisturizer, then apply a primer. The primer I choose is GUERLAIN - L'Or 24K Gold Radiance and Hydrating Primer. It not only can provide hydration on your skin, but also it contains real gold flakes, giving my skin divine look. After primer your skin will become smooth and ready for a long-lasting make-up. Before apply on foundation, I will add some oil mixed with liquid foundation, you can skip this step if you don’t have dry skin. The oil I choose is PETER THOMAS ROTH - Oiless Oil 100% Purified Squalane. After that I will use a damp beauty blender to apply it on my face. You will find your base make-up is already looking good, but if you wanna it last longer, you’d better to apply a setting powder, like the one I use---GIVENCHY - Prisme Libre Loose Powder, it also makes your skin a little bit shimmer. If you are easily getting sweaty, you can carry a pressed powder with youBOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROQN Sheer Finish Pressed Setting Powder, you can use it when you feel your base make-up gets flawed.
Setting Babes I've Hit Pan on
MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder This product is great for oily skin in summer. It is shine free and hides pores pretty well. However, the powder doesn't feel refined enough. Relatively speaking, I prefer NARS - Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder I will NOT repurchase this product after using it up. 👎🏻👎🏻 SKINDINAVIA - The Makeup Finishing Spray: Oil Control DEF recommend!!! everyone buys this spray !!! It's a great product and I really LOVE it!! The fine mist offers a shine-free and long-lasting look, and it doesn't dry off easily. It's inexpensive and yet very durable. The only drawback is that it doesn't smell nice. 😐😐 HOURGLASS - Veil Translucent Setting Powder I want my loose powder to prevent my makeup from running off but also leave my complexion looking supple with a translucent glow. The Hourglass loose powder can achieve all of the above perfectly. The powder is very refined and when applied, it has a soft focus finish, hiding my pores, and leaving my complexion looking supple with a translucent glow. 👍🏼👍🏼

Bite Beauty's changemaker products are stunning! 😍
Bite Beauty has launched its foundation series! The packaging in morandi pink is so stunning! The three products introduced include the Changemaker Skin-Optimizing PrimerBITE - Changemaker Skin-Optimizing Primer, Changemaker Supercharged Micellar FoundationBITE - Changemaker Supercharged Micellar Foundation, and Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed PowderBITE - Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder. The primer is available in two formulas (one for normal to dry skin and one for normal to oily skin) whereas the foundation comes in 32 shades! The pressed powder is also available in eight shades. I bought the foundation in the shade L10 and pressed powder in the shade Light 1. The foundation is totally skin-like. Even when I apply two layers, it doesn't look cakey at all. Instead, it improves my uneven skin texture and also offers sheer coverage. This foundation is marketed to offer a moderate coverage. However, since I use a beauty blender, the coverage is lighter than expected but I think it will offer a fuller coverage if I use a brush instead.🤔 The pressed powder is also really thin and lightweight but there is nothing special about it. I recently especially prefer using tinted pressed powder for makeup finishing and contouring.😉

OLD VS. NEW | Foundations
Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ Why I tried out a new foundation! I’ve been using too faced born this way for years! It’s definitely a holy grail for me. Even though I still love it, I wanted to try something different. I was drawn to the It cosmetics CC cream because I saw my favorite skincare Youtuber rave about the ingredients! He said that this founda has one of the best ingredient lists in terms of beneficial skincare ingredients. In addition, it also has SPF 50. These are actually very similar! One if the major differences is that the It cosmetics is a bit more dewy. I definitely feel like I have to blot and powder my face throughout the day with this one. It’s not too drastic but ouly skin types should use a good primer. It had a lot more coverage than I expected! The coverage is buildable and very comparable to the Too Faced one. The Too Faced foundation will always be my go-to. I’ll probably reach for the It cosmetics CC cream when I want a more natural finish. I might have to mix these two together to see what happens!

Why I think this product is well worth the hype
laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder I think most of us have heard or used the Laura Mercier translucent powder. I’ve used this for years but never really questioned how good it really is because I used it so often. Recently, I’ve tried a few other powders, namely the Maybelline Fit me loose powder and I came to realize how good this really is! Firstly, I think this product is great for all skin types. I’ve seen people with dry skin use this with great results and for me with oily skin, I love it as well. Something that it worth noting is that I had to learn how to use this properly. The whole baking trend really kicked off a few years ago and everyone was dousing their faces in a thick layer of powder. That process worked well with this powder, but it no longer works for me. It made my underyes crease and look incredibly dry. Bow, I use this very sparingly on the underyee area with a wet sponge and dab it into the skin. I occasionally do bake in between my eyebrows because I get super oily there. With that process in mind, this is really the best powder for it. What makes this special is that it doesn’t dry out the skin or look cakey. It’s just fine enough to look smooth and airbrushed on the skin. Applying this sparingly, I haven’t had an issue with it caking up throughout the day. That’s not something I can say about every powder. For $39, this is an investment. But I think if you have the means to purchase this, you can make it last a really long time and make it work for you and your skin needs.
laura mercier-Translucent Loose Setting Powder
A short review of my lauramercier makeup products✨ 🏆Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow ($39): Sephora upsold me on this one with a gift with purchase sample. When the baby sample ran out, I had to buy the full-size! It leaves a very subtle glow - one step under highlight - that I love to dust over my cheekbones to make me look more alive. It’s too glowy to use as a setting powder, but I adore how finely milled and weightless the powder feels. Holy grail makeup product! ❤️ Flawless Lumiere Radiance-Perfecting Foundation ($48): This is one step of coverage above a BareMinerals tinted moisturizer and one step below the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. It has a liquid texture that leaves a dewy finish, and I appreciate that it includes vitamin C for some ~skincare effect~. I’m really enjoying it, and it blends perfectly with a buffing brush. 😐 Foundation Primer ($38): This feels like a gel-cream moisturizer. It’s clear, water-based, and makes your makeup look good because it’s hydrating your face. Didn’t notice any difference in wear time. Hot take: Just buy a regular moisturizer and don’t drop $38 on this.

A Match (maker) Made in Heaven
This trio of face makeup new from Bite Beauty is wonderful! They have a decent shade range, clean formulas (except WTF with the fragrance), and gorgeous packaging. The foundation is a great match for me at L30 and sinks in and disappears into the skin for the true skin like finish. It’s a thicker cream formula but it bounces on with a beauty blender effortlessly. The primer is pretty standard but great. I got the hydrating one and it really boosts the skins hydration with its jelly like texture and made the foundation grip and last longer! Not sure about it doing anything else tho. I love love the powder compact. It’s not cakey at all on the skin and dusts over nicely with a fluffy brush. It adds a pinch of coverage to the skin and mattifies without sacrificing any glow I think I found my new fav everyday face products!
