Combined & Skincare Routine
I have a combined and sensitive skin type. My forehead and nose can be oily whereas my cheekbones and chin can be dry. During spring and autumn my face can be especially dry and sensitive. So balancing the oil and hydration is quite important for my skin, and the products need to be mild for my sensitive face. I would like to introduce this skincare routine that I have tried for several months to people who have similar skin concerns with me.I Step 1 - Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser A good facial cleanser is the basis of a good skincare routine, and I think this Aesop cleanser is the best cleanser ever. It’s kind of like a gel and with a very fresh herbal scent. I use it day and night. It’s not very foamy or soapy but can make my face clean and not slippery. It’s also very mild so my face won’t feel dry quickly before I can get toner, and even during my face has a bad condition, it doesn’t feel irritating. Step 2 - Lancôme Tonique Confort After washing my face, I will get this toner from Lancôme. It’s not a totally watery toner. The texture is smooth and kind of has a light serum feel. And it smells like roses which relax my mood. I like to pat several times on my face and it absorbs well so my face feels still fresh but more hydrating. This moisturising toner really hydrates and soothes my skin very gently. This is suitable for both day and night use. Step 3 - Sisley Ecological Compound The final step is using this lotion from Sisley, which has a milky texture and lightweight. I think it’s an all-in-one product. It hydrates and revitalizes your skin so you don’t need an extra serum, and eventually protect your skin and lock the moisture into your skin. I don’t like creams because most of them are too heavy and make my face looks greasy, this Sisley lotion is thin and has a good balance of oil and hydration so comfort my skin and leave it soft. It’s perfect for daytime and also nighttime to keep a long-lasting moisturising.

Expensive doesn’t mean good!!!
Where do I even begin with this product. It is so expensive and really not worth the hype. I am so sad I wasted my money that I occasionally use it as a hand cream so it doesn’t go to waste. It has so many rave reviews it honestly makes me question if they are legitimate. I will delve into what this product is supposed to do. What it does: hydrates restores comfort and radiance restores tone and suppleness What’s in it: ginseng Rosemary hops horsetail centella asiatica sisley - Ecological Compound I’m giving this a 1/5. This is a whopping $250 and in my opinion did NOTHING for my skin. If anything it made it worse because it broke me out and I had to get a facial to clean my pores after using this. I’m not too surprised after looking at the ingredient list. It has MINERAL OIL, fragrance and parabens. It has such a strong smell. Not the kind of smell that’s natural but really fragranced like a perfume. I would never put this on my face again. There are so many other products out there with ginseng sans the harmful chemicals. Hope you enjoyed my review :)
$170 = all-round player?🔥
Acne. Oily. As sensitive and acne skin, when I started to use this product, the first feeling is the texture is too oil and seems like make no influence on my skin. But I gradually found that my skin began to become stable, acne also appeared less. It won't give you that amazing feeling of getting up the next day, but as long as you keep using it, your skin will get better. For girls who want to take good care of skin, Sisley Ecological Compound is a good choice. Because I am oil skin, I only use Ecological Compound in spring and summer. In fall and winter, I will superimpose essential oils and so on. This 125ml bottle is very durable and can last for three months for me. In fact, for the brand like Sisley or La mer, I always think that the brand level was improved by raising the products’ price. So I question the efficacy of the product before I decided to buy this. This Ecological Compound is recommended by a friend of mine. I remember the price is about $170, which is quite high. If you don't care about the price, this product is really good. The ingredient of centella in it has a strong repairing effect on the skin. I used it for about a week, and my boyfriend said that my skin became better and brighter. Be honest, this product is good, but the cost performance is not. Sisley Ecological Compound is the basic product in Sisley brand. But this product support the whole Sisley product line. Compared to other products of Sisley, Ecological Compound is hyped and cheap. For me, this product has done a good job on moisturizing and repairing, and also helped to brighten my skin tone. However, still that word, if you have money, ok, buy it and keep using it. If not, you can try other products which can get the similar effect and have higher cost performance. sisley - Ecological Compound

Breaking out rescuer!😍😍
I am a combination type of skin that gets oily on the T-zone. I got breaking out with red pimples before the period comes. I, therefore, have an SOP routine prepared for emergency usage! Here I have Aesop - Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser，ORIGINS - Drink Up 10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst，and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oilstand by. Every time I got breaking out, I use this 3 items day and night to relieve my skin along with a natural therapy! Why natural? In my perspective, breaking out and pimples are a response to our health condition. It’s also a kind reminder or warning for us that some of our living habits might need to be corrected rather than removed. Accordingly, what we can do is just to relieve or soothe the reaction instead of using chemistry medical to control and depress it. Then trying to take natural skincare is the best way. The very first step is to make sure we have done a well-cleaning. One of the reasons that cause skin breaking out is the oil unevenly distributed. Then we need to double-check the cleaning step while skin breaking out. This Aesop parsley cleaner is a famous item for all types of skin. It goes with a gel texture, not too strong like a scrub, and not too soft like a mouse. Such a good option for a cleanser! Secondly, use a mask to stay DOUBLE moisturizing during this SPECIAL time. But not a paper mask, our skin is quite sensitive at the moment therefore a washable mask would be the best option. I use the Origins DRINK UP as this is an item that is light but still gets hydrated to skin. Especially just need to stay 5-10 minutes than can be removed. After using the mask, I use The Body Shop tea tree oil on the redness or cropping pimples. Tea tree oil can relieve inflammation. This tea tree oil goes with 15% concentration which is safe for skincare. I applied it on my pimples at night and it turns to a whitehead next day! Truly goes a natural way and stays effective! After the upon 3 steps, I follow the normal skincare routine! In the breaking out period, we try to keep everything simple and let the skin rest more. Again, that’s the reason why I just add a few more steps as I prefer to have a NATURAL THERAPY. However, the most important is to rest more and sleep well. Not having junk food and fried rice, instead of taking more greens to detox. Not only taking more care of skincare routine but also taking care of living habits. To paint a picture with two brushes at the same time is the best way!
Combination skin essential that I loved!!!
I am a combination skin with oily in T zone and dry in both cheeks. As a combo skin, cleaning is a very important step. Before any toner, serum, or cream, without a well-cleansed step, none of the products can be well-absorbed. Especially combo skin has two conditions on duty, we must find a balanced item for the very first step. I change my face cleanser quite often. I like to try different brands, types, and texture of products to see which fits me the best. I started to use Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser a few months ago and felt my skin became truly steady. I even bought 2 bottles for my family! Aesop - Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser This Aesop Parsley Seed Cleanser’s key ingredients contains Licorice Root, Lactic Acid, Blackcurrant Seed, and Jojoba oil. Lactic Acid offers mild exfoliation especially blended with Jojoba Oil for balancing action. Not only good for combination skin but also perfect for all skin types including patchy one. The texture tends to be thick gel with a rich foam. The refreshing feeling makes me feels like a mini facial every day after washing! Compared with other cleansers it might be pricy, but I would say it worth every penny you spent! It brings your face supple clear and invigorated. After all, if the very first step isn’t done well, then the following expensive lotion cannot be absorbed. I use it both day and night. Before using this cleanser I have a combination skin’s concern in which T zone gets oily, but It solves this problem for me. Additionally, not only did I found my cream was absorbed faster but my make-up becomes smoother with evident! It can be seen how important it is in the very first step -using a good cleanser! I recommend this clarifying and energizing cleansing gel for combination, oily and dry skin as good skincare started routine!

I never thought LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner would work the way it did. I have known about this product for a very long time but never thought about trying despite all the five stars until the day I got the deal of 50% off somewhere sorry I forgot where :( It comes out like silk but with somewhat thick consistency. I always use my palms to apply everything. I rubbed my palms and pat on my face. Here comes the magic, it’s absorbed by my skin beautifully with zero irritation. I sometimes even do a second layer just to experience the comfort feeling. Love it 😍

@origins Checks and Balances cream cleanser is great for normal/combination skin with tendency to be sensitive or dry. I loved the way this felt but now that I’ve finished the sample I’m going to go back to my oily skin, acne-treating cleansers 💚

products for my specific skin concern- how to save my combination skin
My face has combination skin with oily T zone and the rest of my face is very dry. My skin always becomes very sensitive in Summer. Avène’s Thermal Spring Water is one of the products that can help me to release my skin problem. I have been using this spray for years, and it is super smoothing my sensitive skin when it is feeling dry or irritated. I also use it after shaving. In summer, I kept it in the fridge. It brings me absolutely coolness and refreshment. This is a great product to use in summer to maintain moisture, perfect for boosting the skin’s hydration. The product has wisely usage. I can also use it before makeup. After my cleansing routine, I use this as the first step of my skincare routine, my face becomes softer and can absorb toner water easier after I use it. Cemoy’s Facial Treatment Cleanser is a gentle cleanser that helps to release my skin concerns. This cleanser contains rich vitamin, helps me with my sensitive skin and did not irritate my skin. The cleanser is thick and smooth, which is very easy to apply and spread. When massaging this on my face, only a small amount of this product can cover my face and neck. I really like this product because after using this, I feel it brighten my skin tone and can also remove some makeup. Unlike other strong cleansers that make my skin tight and dry. This one adds moisture to the skin. I have used this product for the past few months.
Avène-Thermal Spring Water Spray
Products for my dry skin!
My face always becomes very dry from Autumn to Winter. During this period, the dryness makes the skin peel. What’s more, I wear makeup all year round. Foundations and other beauty products that cover the peeling skin area aggregate my problem. I would like to introduce two products I usually used to protect my skin. The first one is Natio Rosewater Hydration Antioxidant Micellar Cleansing Water. It has a strong scent of rose. This product can remove makeup and hydrates the skin, and it is very gentle for dry skin. I have kept using this and it really cleanses my skin without irritating. It can not remove very heavy makeup but can easily remove the daily basis markup. The texture feels like water. When applying it, I only put a little bit on a cotton pad. After using this, I think my face very soft and smooth, and my skin has less peeling. After cleaning the face, apply a moisturizer is necessary. I use Natio rosewater moisture boost day cream-gel to keep my face nourished and hydrated. My skin feels soft and smooth after using this. The cream is lightweight, and the face can absorb it quickly due to its gel formula. During winter, my skin was dehydrated and also sensitive. This one is very moistured, without making my skin oily or greasy, but release my dryness and peeling. Although only a little amount really does go a long way, I use a lot of the gel on my face and wait for my face to absorb all of the gel in winter. I feel I use it as a sleep mask. The next day I think this product leaves my skin refreshed and moisturized. My face has improved after using this. Love it!
FAB Oil-Free Mattifying Gel
What is it? An oil-free gel moisturizer that controls oil while providing hydration. Suitable for all skin types (per sephora), but oily and acne-prone skin may find this the most beneficial! Targets oiliness, pores, blemishes. Contains Zinc PCA, which refreshes skin and absorbs oil. Lecithin, hydrates and minimizes pores. FLMT Sebocure, fights acne forming and diminishes oil. It has a thick creamy gel texture and also has dimethicone in it so definitely feels silicone-y on the skin. My thoughts 💭 I got this from TJ Maxx a gew months ago and it sounded like it would be awesome for my skin! I use mainly as a primer, but overall I just hate the dimethicone finish on my skin. This is with all products that contain it, not just this one. If it didn’t have that I think this would be a 5/5 product. I don’t reach for it much just because of the finish, but it does what it claims to do! Significantly reduces oil production! Not the best in hydration if you have dry/combo skin. Final Takeaways 🗣 I recommend this product if you don’t mind the finish/feel of dimethicone on your skin. It is a personal preference, but overall this is a solid product and I even think it can be used as a primer rather than just a moisturizer. I got it for $12 at TJ Maxx, but the product is $30 for 2oz which is eh, okay. Could be cheaper in my opinion for what the product’s purpose is. Your survival guide for sensitive skin routine!
Sometimes due to certain circumstances like in-between shifting seasons, climate changes, my skin becomes sensitive temporarily. I think a lot of you might encounter the same situation with me right? I’ll change my daily skincare routine to avoid aggravating current skin problems including redness, allergy or even inflammation because our skin might be too vulnerable for products used previously. I’ll use the In Two Minds Facial Cleanser first to gently clean my skin. The texture is gel-based and because it’s soap free it is relatively hard to get foams and bubbles. Therefore, I only use this when my skin is sensitive, not recommend for oily skin in summer because you need a stronger cleanser! After drying my face after cleansing, I’ll apply the In Two Minds Facial Hydrator. This product really does an excellent job at balancing and hydrating. It is design for providing the right amount of moisture for oily skin like me. The fresh texture will not clog your pores and it’s super easy to be absorbed. Final step! The Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream provides protection to lock all moistures. Though it is a cream, it’s got the lightweight texture and is not sticky at all! Easily blends out the cream, you will be calmed by the fresh and pleasant smell. Why all from AESOP? This is a brand that you can totally trust it and don’t have to worry about irritation! They only use organic ingredient under strict control, ideal choice for sensitive skin and even pregnant moms.
