My favourite eyeshadows
Here are three of my favourite eyeshadow products that I would like to recommend: 1.M.A.C Eye Shadow - Fashion’s Field Day This is a single pressed eyeshadow from M.A.C. I like this one because the colour is so special. Basically, it’s a beautiful pinky coral shade eyeshadow with a pearly finish, but it has a fine golden shimmer that creates a kind of frost eyeshadow look. It’s not that strong reflective and iridescent shimmer so it can still be very natural for day-to-day use. The texture is a little bit dry but acceptable and the pigmentation is good. It applies evenly on my eyelid and blends very well. 2.COLOURPOP Super Shock Shadow Ultra-Glitter - DGAF I would highly recommend this single eyeshadow if you are looking for a shimmer eyeshadow with glitters. I really love this unique bouncy texture of COLOURPOP. It’s so creamy, so soft and so smooth. Only one swipe is needed to deliver an intense pigmentation. The best tool to apply this eyeshadow is your fingers. And this shade DGAF is the best seller. It has warm-toned brown shade and with many golden glitters to create a multi-dimensional look. 3.CHANEL Multi-effect Quadra Eyeshadow - 268 This is my favourite eyeshadow palette of my whole collection. This palette has four shades that contain three shades of brown and a beautiful warm red shade, and all four shades are matte. The colour combination is exactly for a fall makeup look, and the warm red shade recalls me maple leaves. The texture is not that dry as many other matte eyeshadows especially the red one. The colour is buildable and well-blended on my eyelids.

Makeup Setting Powder or Spray?
GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Travel No.1 This loose powder is actually a travel size of GIVENCHY’s iconic and bestselling loose powder Prisme Libre, and the light purple shade combines the four shades of its most popular color correcting shade Mousseline Pastel, so this four-in-one setting powder actually has the same effect as the original GIVENCHY Prisme Libre. The shade of this powder makes my face fair and clean by correcting the redness and darkness. It delivers a matte finish to the skin, making my skin looks smooth and flawless. My skin type is combination, and it works for me well. I don’t feel dry when using this setting powder, and it’s quite long-lasting to control the oil. This on-the-go case is easy to carry, and the mini puff within the case is so adorable and easy to apply. URBAN DECAY All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I would like to recommend this setting spray from URBAN DECAY highly. This is my first setting spray, and I found that it was amazing. First of it’s incredibly long-lasting, water-proof, and keeps my base on for a whole day. The mist feels so light and fresh. It gives my foundation excellent protection without being heavy or sticky on my face. The complexion is not irritating at all, which is very friendly to sensitive skin. I always spray the mist in the air and let mist falls down on my face to cover every corner. And I usually use it after and also before the foundation to creates dewy finish while lock my makeup look in place. I like the setting powder and the setting spray both, and sometimes I use the setting spray after the setting powder to make the finish less powdery. But I think URBAN DECAY setting spray is better than any other setting powder or spray. It ‘s extraordinary to set my makeup all day long without fading, settling, or creasing into lines.

Lip Gloss or Lipstick?
CHANEL Rouge Coco Gloss Moisturizing Glossimer - 754 Opulence This is a lip gloss from CHANEL with a very beautiful colour. I really like this strawberry red colour and it has many shiny glitters within the gloss, which makes the colour even prettier. The finish is medium-to-high coverage, indeed ultra-shiny and glossy, and leaves lips visibly plump and smooth. However, the texture is horrible. It’s very sticky just like melt candies. The gloss feels heavy and thick on my lips and that’s why it makes lips look plump and smooth And I don’t feel being moisturized at all. The applicator doesn’t work for me. It’s big and round makes me hard to apply the gloss precisely. BOBBI BROWN Nourishing Lip Color Oil-Infused Shine - Claret I like this lipstick about its shade and also texture. This lipstick has a warm-toned rosy red, which gives a very elegant and gentle impression and I think this kind of colour works for every skin tones and also be a good choice for daily use as it’s very natural. The texture is very creamy and nourishing. It is more like a lip tint balm but the colour can be built up. It feels good on my lips, hydrating and not too sticky, and also looks moist and shimmering. It’s also easy to apply at any time even without a mirror. I would say the colour and finish of CHANEL gloss is very impressive, but I don’t like the texture. Instead, I give BOBBI BROWN credit for its comprehensive performance.

Dupe, Worth it? L.O.V versus ARMANI lipstick
This review is going to talk about two liquid lipstick products at different prices, which are Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick from ARMANI, and Fatal Muse Liquid Matte Lipstick from L.O.V. Let’s see if the drug store brand can be a dupe and beat high-end brand. ARMANI Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick NO.405 - € 36 This is the best seller of ARMANI, and I have no doubt about that because after I use it, I really love it. The texture is so smooth, so creamy, and it goes on like a gloss but dries matte, a velvety matte, which is so gorgeous. This lip colour is highly pigmented, so it’s full coverage and can deliver a rich-looking finish. Its iconic formula is giving lips ultimate comfort, so it doesn’t feel heavy or dry on my lips. And no sticky at all. The colour can be transferred while eating or drinking, but I think it’s acceptable. The other thing I would like to mention is that it’s easy to apply with the applicator and shape a beautiful lip contour. L.O.V Fatal Muse Liquid Matte Lipstick NO.700 - € 8.99 This is a brand that comes from Germany and it’s also a sub-brand of Catrice. You can buy it from its official website or drug store. I have seen people talked about this brand online and said it is a dupe of ARMANI liquid lipstick, so I got one to have a try, but to be honest, I don’t think this is a substitute for ARMANI. The colour is truly beautiful, and the pigmentation is intense. The velvety matte finish is also very nice. The texture goes smooth and well-blended, but it feels heavier on my lips than ARMANI does. It feels that the colour just sitting on my lips rather than coating them, so it’s easily transferred as well. And I don’ know why but the liquid just spilt over and makes the tube mouth always messy. The applicator is not good either. There is always too much liquid on it, and the shape of the applicator makes me always apply the colour out of my lip line. So I would say L.O.V is still a decent liquid lipstick product at its price (just € 8.99), but it cannot beat ARMANI liquid lipstick. Although ARMANI liquid lipstick has a 4 times higher price than L.O.V, it is worth it.

Makeup Setting Powder or Spray?
NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder I always use this NARS makeup setting product in a loose powder version. I love the texture of this powder which is very silky and smooth. The powder is white but goes translucent on the face. This setting powder gives you a matte finish without being cakey or powdery. This is the best setting powder in my collection as it’s very long-lasting and can well blur my pores to create a flawless look. NARS setting powder help set my makeup on my face, and it doesn’t make my skin dry or sit into the lines to make my makeup looks cakey. It is good to use in the summer, and in the winter it's still better to get your face well moisturized and primed before using this powder. KAT VON D Lock-it Makeup Setting Mist Setting spray is another hot topic in these years. Compared to powder, this kind of liquid product, like KVD setting mist, has no risk to get your skin looks cakey or powdery. Instead, it moisturizes your skin while setting your makeup. Just like this product name, KVD setting mist “locks” my foundation on my face. I feel like this setting mist gives protection for my makeup, makes it long-lasting and water-proof. And it doesn’t feel sticky or ruins my makeup at all. The spray has very fine mist so the mist falls down gently on my face and there won’t be too many drops leave on my face. I will use this setting spray after my foundation and it makes my makeup hold all day long, and sometimes I spray it after the setting powder to melt the powder and makes the finish less powdery. I like both of these makeup setting products, and as I said sometimes I use both of them. But if I must choose one, I would say NARS setting powder, as I think powder always has better performance in setting and oil control.

Liquid Highlighter? Powder Highlighter?
COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops - Halo This is a holographic highlighting drops product from COVER FX. The packaging is beautiful and it’s holographic as well. The texture feels like oil but not sticky or heavy on my face. And the pigmentation is so intense just like liquid metal. Basically it has silver and pearl shade, but as it’s holographic, it reflects a strong purple and blue colours. This highlighter is so shiny, and I actually don’t use it directly on my cheeks. Instead, I like to mix it with my foundation and it only needs one drop to make my foundation more shimmering and leave a glowy finish on my face, and it’s not weird at all. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector - Prismatic Amethyst This is a pressed powder highlighter which is also a kind of multi-dimensional highlighter. I do like the packaging with lilac colour and silver metal which is so luxurious and elegant. And there are some patterns with special design on the surface of the highlighter just like diamonds. The texture is not that fine and smooth as other BECCA highlighter, and it’s a little bit powdery. The colour is kind of silver and with some light pinky-purple shade, and it reflects a purple sheen on the skin. I would say the colour is pretty but it looks a little bit weird on my face and I think it’s because of the texture. It feels that the powder sits on my face and the colour is too white for me which makes my cheekbones stand out and that looks quite strange. So I think COVER FX liquid highlighter is better. It has a good texture and beautiful colour. And it also multi-functional, as you can directly dab it on your cheekbones and you can also mix it with your foundation.
