just a skincare junkie slowly trying to get that glow with trial & error!
BAGGAGE CLAIM 🧳
When I go on planes I always try to keep my skin hydrated. Generally my go-tos are a good sheet mask and eye mask combo. But since now we have to wear face masks all the time the first one isn’t possible anymore. Which is why I stuck to my eye masks! I really like this brand from WANDER BEAUTY - Baggage Claim Rose Gold Eye Masks They are super cooling and help bring my puffy eyes down a little. I always try to put it on about 60-30min before landing so my eyes can look a little more alive. Have you guys tried this before? Let me know!

PIMPLE PATCH TRY-ON! 🌋
Back again with some skincare newbie edition! This past morning I woke up with two volcanoes on my face and decided to give some zit patches a double try. PRODUCTS USED: Rael - Miracle Patch Duo I used the one in the pink sleeve and honestly I’m impressed! They key is to leave it on for multiple hours generally at least over night. I accidentally did 24 hours lol and can’t really complain. Have you guys used this brand before? Do you recommend any others? Also let me know if you would like to see an after/results post since I ran out of time in the video above!

I DID IT!✂️
I finally took the plunge and got a dry curly cut! This after three years of being in transition and terrified of the big chop and then being pushed by the pandemic to figure out my hair while in quarantine. So I went to a curly salon in nyc and got what I affectionately called a mid-chop instead! I’m not gonna lie, I mentally prepared myself for like a month to get to this point as you can see on my pfp my hair has always been very long with me straightening it every week which led to all the heat damage. With this new cut I was informed that I have a mix of 3b/3c hair!! Which is insane cause I could never pin point on my own. So yeah feel free all you natural curlies out there to drop your favorite products and tips below. I’m definitely gonna need it on this new journey!💕🥳 PRODUCTS USED AT THE SALON: Kinky-Curly - Knot Today, Natural Leave In / Detangler Kinky-Curly - Original Curling Custard, Natural Styling Gel PS: lmk if you guys want some before and afters!

AM ROUTINE-newbie edition✨
So these are the products I’ve been using for over a month now for my skin in the morning!! I start with the Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser love how gentle and easy this wash is. Never leaves my skin dry or tight and feels like the perfect step one. Then I move on to the THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent (the rose petal). I have never used a toner before and since I’m scared of drying out my skin I went with this easier option and I love it, the smell is super soft and I do believe its helping out with my pesky pores. Once thats dry I apply my serums: The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 & ELEMIS - Absolute Eye Serum I got these both as gifts and for now I’m giving them a 4. The Ordinary’s serum is fine but its just that I dont think it add much to my skin and it is a little sticky - and as for elemis my biggest concern is dark circles and this just doesn’t cut it. But I’ll continue to use both until they’re empty! Then I top off with The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (also a gift) a little goes a long way with this one, but I think it flakes a bit after it dries which I dislike. Finally, theres the #Palmers - Coconut Water Facial Mist[products]#[FiveStars] I bought this cause I needed a mist in my routine and found this to be pretty simple and natural, love the smell and how it has vitamin e which is why I use at the end. It can also be used on hair which I love multipurpose products! And theDOCTOR ROGERS RESTORE - Healing Balm its amazing on my lips but once its gone my lips are pretty much dry again, also the sticky consistency doesn’t feel great other dry skin areas they recommend. So let me know what you all think! If you have any suggestions/tips please send my way. Currently looking into incorporating vitamin C as well as finding new eye/lip products!

How long does it take you to diffuse?
How long does it take you to diffuse? For me , it takes about 30mins and then I let it air dry overnight to get 100% dry.••🌿 The drying part in the process is definitely my least favorite part of wash day.
5 things you should never do while you wear wigs!
Since I have wearing hair extensions for three years, maybe I can say I'm a "hair expert"! Here are some tips to help you get the most satisfaction from your wig and keep it looking great, just like day one. You know that if you want to keep the hair extension you carefully selected beautiful and supple, some precautions must be taken!! Treat your wig with gentleness, patience, and attention! 1. Do not wash with too hot water as this will soften the fasteners, which could slip and fall. Avoid getting any products containing alcohol or oil directly on the lace when removing your wig for shampooing. 2. In all cases, avoid products containing petroleum jelly and lanolin, which grease and weigh down the hair and ultimately dry it out since they do not provide true hydration. 3. Never sleep with damp hair, always make sure it is completely dry before going to bed. If they dry out while you move around in your sleep, they might get tangled the next morning. 4. For a natural and light look, do not use too many hair care and styling products. A few drops per day are sufficient. An excess of products weighs down the hair and makes it difficult to handle. Also, it would require you to shampoo frequently, which would complicate your routine. 5. If you wear artificial hair integration, always remember, don't wash your wigs! Since synthetic hair extensions are not natural, they cannot withstand proper washing, which means you can't shampoo them like your natural hair. If you try to clean them in any way, shape, or form, they will be destroyed immediately. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about hair extensions! I would be happy to help you!
Which types do you prefer? Little tips about your nail shapes
Last time when I post my Black Fairy Tales on Nails, some guys asked me a lot of questions about those words used to describe nail shapes. See~how much I love you guys, this time I made a detailed introduction about our nail shapes.👇 Basically, some common types have been shown in this picture. I do prefer the oval style and long square type. Both of them can make your fingers look slender and really beautiful.💅Compared with long stiletto or coffin and XL types, they won't impact your daily life. I am a guy that always puts on makeup and like hairstyle DIY, sometimes will cook meals for myself. So I can't endure if I have over long nails, that is total inconvenient. I do remember in last summer when I had long coffin type nails, how terrible I felt when I put on makeup 🙄️. Those powder and liquid are just stuck into my nails and hard to wash them off!!
I’ve changed my nail shape and love it!
So I’ve been a long term devotee of coffin shaped nails but decided a change was as good as a holiday being stuck close to home during COVID and have switched my last couple refills up with almond shaped nails instead. I’m absolutely loving the almond shape, i think it really elongates my short nail beds and looks pretty and feminine so I’m sticking with it. What do you think about the change?
Completely erase your deep wrinkles with this
I have struggled with harsh lines since my 20’s. The furrow line in my forehead is so pronounced I didn’t believe there was a skincare solution. I’ve switched my nighttime and daytime routine around three times since I started Cherie because of the knowledge I’ve gained from Cherie members and board certified dermatologist Dr.Dray. Here is what I do; Morning Routine 💙I rinse my face with water - DO NOT CLEANSE (I have an article on my page as to why you should not cleanse in the morning please check it out) 💜 AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) this product makes your skin smooth and brighten and it actually preps the skin to allow better absorption of the next product 💛Vitamin C serum is applied, vitamin c helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines 💚hyaluronic acid it plumps my skin up 🧡neutrogena hydro boost with spf 50. This is a water gel lotion with hyaluronic acid 🤍I finish with Avene moisturizing protecting lotion, this lotion I swear by it. It doesn’t claim to reduce fine lines but as soon as I put it on all my forehead wrinkles smooth right out. ➡️sometimes I add Vaseline to the sensitive areas of my face if I’m staying home the under eye where crows feet are and the furrow in my forehead. Doing this protects the skin barrier because it locks in the moisture from your products and slows down their absorption rate which means you benefit more from them. Nighttime routine 💛oil based cleanser. Oil based cleansers break up makeup, sunscreen and sebum more efficiently than regular gel cleansers 💙gel based cleanser next, it completely cleans the face from any left over oil cleanser ♥️ toner maybe twice - three times a week but not everyday as it’s winter the air is dry, toner can be even more drying 💚Retinoid serum comes next, but the face should be dry. 🧡Niacinamide to reduce the appearance of pores and fine line. 💜Vitamin E at the end of the day helps your skin barrier restore itself from the pollutants and uva and uvb exposure 🤎moisturizer is second to last on my routine, 💖last but not least in fact one of the most important things is SLUGGING! petroleum jelly is smeared on my face focused on the underlines where crows feet show, the furrow on my forehead - I don’t do my neck. I explained up above why this benefits you. ❇️so after 1 month of doing this my wrinkles have erased and my pores look great❇️ Fourth Ray - Reveal 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Serum TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum Fourth Ray - Hyaluronic Hydra Duo Skincare Kit Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 Avene moisturizing cream DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil Fourth Ray - Remedy 10% Niacinamide Serum Vitamin E from TrueSkin Avene moisturizing cream Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original
