Products that personally changed my life! 🙌🏼
Sooooooo, I went through a rough time earlier this year with my skin - and I was consistently breaking out with large, sore, cystic pimples on mainly my forehead and my chin - and when I say consistently, I mean consistently - I could never catch a break from them, every week there was a new one or two 😩 I was previously using Skinstitut and I just didn’t feel like the products were working how I wanted them to, they were making my T-zone oily etc, but I won’t get into that here - I have done a post on the products prior, so check it out if you are interested. I started to research different brands, and different types of products and ingredients. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on products, so I decided to try some products from The Ordinary. I completely culled my skincare routine. I was using the cleanser, niacinamide serum, hyaluronic serum and the moisturizing factors + HA. This made my skin feel so tight and dry and I started flaking (complete 180 degrees to what I had!) - I didn’t like the feeling, so I started to look into different brands, and this is where I came across skincare influencers and Korean Skincare. I listened to what these people had to say about different skin types, different ingredients and I gradually introduced new products to my routine. The below routine is what I have been using for a month or so, and I can happily say this has changed my life (as you can tell from the photos)! AM Routine: Wash face with water only innisfree - Green Tea Moisture-Balancing Toner PURITO - Centella Green Level Buffet Serum skinstitut - Ultra Firming Eye & Neck Cream innisfree - Green Tea Moisture-Balancing Emulsion skinstitut - Age Defence SPF 50+ PM Routine: Double cleanse with The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser Innisfree Green Tea Moisture - Balancing Toner Purito - Centella Green Level Buffet Serum Skinstitut - Ultra Firming Eye & Neck Cream Innisfree - Green Tea Moisture - Balancing Emulsion The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Then, once a week (on alternate days or when I feel necessary) I will use : The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane innisfree - Green Tea Hydrating Sleeping Mask pixi - Glow Tonic innisfree - Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask (Yellow-Brightening) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I also like to use a sheet mask every now and then. Not so Ordinary Skincare
I’ve been seeing this CeraVe / the Ordinary skincare system everywhere! So naturally I researched & watched some YouTube videos (Hyram’s skincare videos). I love the cleanser and the lotion! Help sort out my routine for late 30s skin
Hi all! Welcome to skin in your late 30s. I am 37 and am at that wonderful crossroads between younger and older skin, meaning that I still get monthly hormonal jawline acne, have an oily t-zone... yet also the beginnings of wrinkles, plus large pores and dark spots from acne scars and sun damage. I have a number of products that I have been using but it’s been a little random as to when I use them. I also just got some direct acids and I’m looking for direction on when to use them in my routine. Here’s what I have: Cleansers innisfree - Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam DERMA•E - Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil AM toner SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner PM toner The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Eye cream BURT’S BEES - Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream Looking for recs! Serums / Treatments / Acids The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil Masks and peels The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Several mud based masks- Mudmasky, Generation Clay Moisturizers Embryolisse - Lait-Crème Concentré Limited Edition London THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer philosophy - Purity Made Simple Oil Free Mattifying Moisturizer And since I know pores are an issue for me I also have other Inkey products I haven’t tried yet in the THE inkey LIST - The Pore Wonders Set I really like a lot of these products but I don’t feel I am putting them on in the right order. I also think I may be missing something to really help with my dark spots? Any advice? Thanks!!

My night routine 🌚
Hello beautiful people ! This is my nightly routine for acne prone and oily skin. For starters, as in my day routine I use the same two face washes that I use in the morning. But if anyone has any suggestions for a better oil cleanser for oily skin I would love to hear it ! Also with any of these products because this routine is all I have right now, but it isn’t working for my skin anymore ! But here is my opinion on these products! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product is amazing !!! Especially for my skin! My skin is EXTREMELY OILY, and when I started using this it did wonders for my oil ! It may have broke me out a little and that’s why I ranked it four stars, but still amazing. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA same thing as my morning routine, I use this as an eye cream and it works amazing ! Provides the right amount of moisture for the under eye. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator this product is in between for me. I do believe I overexfoliated my face at first and it dried the heck out of my skin and then when I stopped using it and started again, I broke out like crazy. I have recently reduced to only 3 times a week at night, but it’s still breaking me out. This product worked well at first, and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or it’s the product, but I’m not a huge fan. And if anyone has any other suggestions PLEASE HELP ME 🤣 The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% the feeling of this product is WACK. It feels very silicony and I only use it with Paulas choice. I do like that it makes my skin feel less oily because it mattifies my skin, but other than that I have seen no difference within my skin from this product. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!! It’s so good and lightweight which is exactly what I need ! I never feel oily after using it, and it provides such a good layer of moisture even when I don’t use any other products listed above. IF ANYONE HAD ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP PLEASE HELP ME 🥺 my skin isn’t doing well, and it needs severe help. I have never stopped breaking out nor have I cleared up my skin in a LONG time. So if anyone knows of products that help with rough skin/acne I would love to hear what you guys have to offer !! :)

Targeting Dry Spots Without Buying New Product
If you have oily, combination, or normal skin, investing in a heavier moisturizer, oil, mask, or ointment just for specific areas of your face may not be the most economic choice, especially if it’s a random occurrence. As well, this avoids the roulette that is trying out new products that aren’t for your usual skin moisture level. Instead, take your usual moisturizer and gently pat an extra layer over the dry spot after the base layer has fully soaked in. Repeat as needed! My favourite moisturizers to use this method with are the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA , stratia - Liquid Gold , and PAULA'S CHOICE - Probiotic Nutrient Moisturizer . #CheriePartner

My FAVOURITE - especially for after the gym!
ABOUT THE PRODUCT ‘A gentle cleansing product formulated to target makeup removal whilst leaving skin feeling smoothed and moisturized. Being non-comedogenic and soap free, this formula is designed to me gentle enough for daily use’ 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I truly love this cleanser, as a person who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup I find it really cleans the skin and easily removes mascara. I love that this cleanser goes on dry, it really makes it feel like it’s penetrating the skin and I’ve been extremely happy with the results 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| this cleanser is NOT foaming! It is a balmy texture that melts into an thick oil on your skin. I really like the texture and think when only wearing light makeup of no makeup it is a perfect cleanser on it’s own. 👃🏻|SCENT| This cleanser is unscented! Which usually I like a good smell but since I use it so often I don’t mind, and is probably less likely to irritate certain skin types 💦 |INGREDIENTS| Squalane is the primary ingredient in this cleanser. Which is an ingredient I love, deeply moisturizing and gentle on the skin 💸 |VALUE| I think this product has great value! The larger size of this bottle is $20 and lasts forrrrrever. I use it 2 times a day and I’ve had it for months. I usually grab a bottle of each size and throw the small one in my gym back for a quick cleanse post workout! ✨Any other amazing The Ordinary products I should try?! Or what 2nd cleanser would you recommend ??? ✨

Honest ordinary review
Honest ordinary review
Let’s start with the The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution : so far this toner has worked amazing for my skin the only problem with this overall brand is if you have sensitive skin like me it will sting but it has changed my skin in the couple of days that I’ve been using it. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% : this product has definitely changed my skin so much and when I apply It to my sling it is instantly glowing !!! Although this does sting my skin as well and it also has a very sticky texture to it so I don’t recommend using it in the morning because I couldn’t imagine how your makeup would be able to apply on top of the The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% : I honestly noticed a tiny difference but nothing huge yet I feel like there is barely any product in the bottle I will continue to use and update you guys in the near future it also has the stingy feeling as well but I noticed that with all of the products and it’s probably because of my sensitive skin. Overall, this brand has not disappointed me yet and I will continue to use and update you guys on how my skin is turning out. I do recommend these products but keep in mind if you do have sensitive skin it will sting.

This Combo Is Quite Disappointing😖😖...
This Combo Is Quite Disappointing😖😖...
I have combination-oily skin and whitening is my top priority all year round. I chose to follow a combination that is popular on the Internet: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%and Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream for Night. I have used this combination for around a month and the The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is already almost empty. It has a watery consistency but it's a little sticky when spreading it on the skin. It creates a very small amount of white foam but not an extremely gluey texture as some say online. I haven't seen see any obvious whitening, but my acne marks are significantly lighter. However, niacinamide is strong, so it's not recommended for sensitive skin. Those who try it out for the first time will need to build up skin tolerance beforehand.🧐 I personally think there's nothing special about the Neutrogena anti-wrinkle night cream because I have not see any obvious results. 🥱🥱It has a smooth creamy texture and spreads easily. However, I didn't see any anti-aging, wrinkle-reduction, or whitening results. It is just refreshing and spreads easily. I've used products containing retinol before, so it didn't irritate my skin, but if you haven't built up skin tolerance, you may experience some tingling. However, you can use the Avène Thermal Spring Water to ease any irritation. Have you used this combo? What is your favorite combo? 🤭Let me know!

Tips & Tricks To Glowing Skin
Tips & Tricks To Glowing Skin
One of my biggest skin issues is dullness. Aside from the complication that is combination skin, I really dislike how lackluster my complexion can be sometimes. It can be really noticeable in photos which is part of the reason why I’m not really fond of taking selfies. What really helped me achieve a nice glow is niacinamide and glycolic acid. I discovered this by searching for skincare guides online and trying out different products. Honestly, I was a bit scared to experiment at first but I was also really excited, especially when I started seeing the effects. Simply put, glycolic acid strips away all my dead skin, revealing the fresh skin underneath. Meanwhile, niacinamide gradually lightens my dark spots. This results in fresh, glowing skin. It’s an amazing combination that really made my skin change for the better. I’m using a total of five products for my ‘glowing skin’ routine: 1. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 2. Nacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. Mimi White AHA Serum 5. PASSION & BEYOND - Phyto Aqua Cream Take note that I don’t use all of this within the same routine. That’s because not all of them are compatible with each other, specifically niacinamide and AHA. Using them in the same routine can cause flushing and redness. In addition, it will also raise the pH of the AHA which will make it less effective. It’s simply not worth using them together. For instance, I use TO Glycolic Toner, Nacific Phyto Niacin Essence, and TO Niacinamide Serum at night. Meanwhile, in the mornings when I’m not planning to go out, I take one scoop of Phyto Aqua Essence into my palm and add a few drops of AHA serum. When I do have to go out, I don’t use the AHA serum because it can increase my chances of getting sunburned. Try these products and see if they work for you too! 💋

I dont know if i over used it or that it doesn’t work on my skin. I feel like I moisturized it too much. I don’t know what to do.

I’ve used one ordinary product before and fell in love so I’m continuing to try this brand ❤️ Total spent on all these products was 38! Let’s hope they live up to the hype because for the price I am a huge fan. Hydrating PM Routine
Hydrating PM Routine
I don’t always use the same products since I have so many; I like to change things up. Tonight I was going for more of a hydrating routine. Step 1: I cleansed my face with the FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser This cleanser is, as the name suggests, ultra gentle and soothing. I apply this to wet skin and massage it in, ensuring I get the dirt and oil, etc. from the day off. Rinse with warm water and you’re good to go. This smells great and I’m obsessed with honey and bees so this is heaven for me. Step 2: I don’t always use a toner but tonight I felt like it. I used an old faithful: REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner I love this toner because it smells amazing and it gets rid of anything I may have missed while cleansing. I like using a toner when I feel like I need to exfoliate and help out my pores. I love the glow this toner gives my skin. Step 3: I can’t remember the last time I skipped out on using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this every day, twice a day. AM and PM. I cannot get enough of this. I rarely have dry skin anymore because of this product. It keeps my skin so hydrated. Step 4: My other love is the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I love the Inkey List niacinamide as well, but I felt like I should pair TO with TO. Like I said above with toning, I like to keep my pores in check and this is wonderful for doing so. It decreases their appearance and if I have a spot this clears it up so quickly! Step 5: In keeping with wanting my skin to feel extra hydrated, I went with the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil This light-weight oil is super hydrating. It’s also a great alternative to a moisturizer but is also great to mix with a moisturizer. Whenever I use this in the PM, I wake up and my skin looks really glowy and I’m all about that. Step 6: Hydrate and moisturize your under eyes if you feel like they’re looking a little dry or dull. I love love love this eye cream: OLAY - Eyes Brightening Eye Cream It smells nice and fresh, has brightening effects, and is super moisturizing. Whenever I want to add that extra moisture under my eyes this is what I reach for. Step 7: I sometimes mix the Rose Hip Seed Oil with the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA but tonight I decided to use these separately. I adore this moisturizer because it’s really hydrating and gentle. It’s not greasy and it doesn’t clog my pores. I don’t always use a moisturizer after using Rose Hip Seed Oil but because I wanted to really moisturize my skin, I added this. Step 8: I like to add a lip scrub on occasion and I love this honey flavoured one :) It smells great and it makes your lips feel hydrated and so soft SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Balm & Scrub
