let’s talk exfoliating :)
exfoliation is the process of removing the dulling and dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. the benefits of exfoliating include - keeping your youth - lessening the appearance of hyper-pigmentation - minimizes the size of pores - reduces chances of breaking out - increases the effectiveness of products - improves skin texture first off, i will talk about exfoliants for your face. 1) elf gentil peeling exfoliant $10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this exfoliant is honestly he best i have ever used. not only does it do it’s job perfectly, but it is very gentil and kind to your skin, not being too rough. it also is priced very nicely! if you are looking for a face exfoliant, this is what i recommend! 2) st ives acne control scrub $4.49 ⭐️⭐️ this scrub does do a nice job of removing the dead skin off your face, leaving it very smooth. however, exfoliants in scrub form are far too harsh on your skin. not only do they hurt your skin, but they increase the chances of wrinkles. would not recommend 3) the ordinary peeling solution $7.20 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is a great exfoliating product. it’s like a mask in the way that you apply it to your skin, wait 10 minutes max, and then wash it off. i do want to warn you when using this, it contains 30% AHA, which is a very strong ingredient which will be very dangerous to your skin when used more than 10 minutes once a week. also, you must make sure to be applying sunscreen before sun exposure, or else it can make your acne scars darker. next is body exfoliants. (make sure to exfoliate before shaving, helping the razor get a closer shave.) 1) dove exfoliating body polish $5.99 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ i personally love this body exfoliant. it is very gentil to the skin, and leaves a nice hydration behind. it also helped me get rid of the small bumps on the sides of my arms 2) raw sugar sugar scrub $8.49 ⭐️⭐️ just like the st ives scrub, this does a well job of removing the dead skin, however it is too harsh and can make your pores appear larger. would not recommend

If you need a fast train to exfoliation, I think you gotta love deciem The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. This face mask has long been a love affair of mine. I purchased it few months ago because I felt like my skin was really congested and it needed some serious sloughing and I haven't looked back since. The blend of 30% AHA and 2% BHA is the punchiest formula that I own. It's not for the faint hearted and if I'm honest my sensitive skin can just about handle it. It blends together glycolic, salicylic, lactic, tartaric and citric acids which will brighten, unclog pores, soften and smooth the skin. Plus, it contains hyaluronic acid for comfort, Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) to assist healing, Black Carrot for some antioxidant boost, and Tasmanian pepperberry to reduce as much irritation as possible while also giving the red color to the liquid. Once a week, I apply it after cleansing onto dry skin about two to three pumps with the dropper. The texture itself feels like a sticky but thin gel. It's easy to apply with my fingers as the liquid won't run down quickly on my face. It also doesn't stain my hands or my face. I left it on about only 5-10 minutes before rinsing gently with warm water. Then, I would recommend following it with a simple and soothing routine. Personally, I finish my skincare routine with a sheet mask to bring back hydration and moisture into my skin. It's definitely intense and tingled, but not painfully. Although when my skin is more sensitive, it was quite unbearable the first few seconds it touches the skin. I only ever use it in the evening so I have the whole night for any redness to go down. And be careful if you have small wounds or lesions on your face, because it burns even more. When I take it off, the layer that's left is so darn smooth. So it's worth it! It's brilliant if I've been slacking on the exfoliation and I'm feeling like I need to knock off a layer of dead skin cells. It helps to loosen up blackheads and reduces the appearance of small bumps/whiteheads just after few uses.

This is such an underrated face scrub!!
have been using the Acure brilliantly brightening facial scrub for about two months now. This product is a physical exfoliant that claims to brighten skin and aid in uneven skin tone. It is full of clean ingredients such as French clay and sea kelp and it is also vegan and cruelty free. The texture of this product is thick but thins out when mixed with water. I bought it at my local co-op for around $ 13 USD.However, I have seen this brand at a few grocery stores or you can order it online. This product made my skin so soft with regular use (one to two times a week). I have very sensitive skin and the exfoliating bits in this product are gentle enough to not irritate my face. Over all I’d recommend this product to everyone and give it a 10/10 . It fits all skin types, is affordable, and the tube lasts for so long.
The Hype for Chemical Exfoliants
🌸 the products Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment and The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 🌸 worth the hype? YES! I love both of these products for their ability to make skin smoother, reduce scarring from breakouts and increased skin cell turnover. Both utilize a blend of active ingredients in order to make your skin better. both will make your skin brighter and smoother, but are at very different price points. 🌸 description both of these products are chemical exfoliants that are leave-on mask type products. Exfolikate has the added benefit of a physical exfoliant. 🌸 Ingredients Exfolikate: papaya pineapple and pumpkin Enzymes to exfoliate, lactic acid, salicylic acid and silica to remove dead skin cells, and aloe vera, honey, and vitamin e to refresh skin the Ordinary Peeling Solution: 20% AHA (lactic and glycolic acid) and 2% BHA (salicylic acid) 🌸 Price Exfolikate: $85 for 2 oz Peeling Solution: $7.20 for 1 oz obviously the price point in between these two products is really high, but they do have very similar benefits. I love both of them even though I definitely can’t afford to buy Kate Somerville all the time

To Be Or Not To Be..🙊🙊🙊Exfoliated!
I have learnt that exfoliation is the easiest and most convenient way to become young again! Using exfoliators or face scrubs removes the dead skin layered on top to reveal your glowing and healthy skin underneath. I started exfoliating when I saw that my skin was getting extremely dull and looked tired. I have oily skin, which is created by the over production of sebum by the pores in the skin. Because of this, my pores were clogged, and my skin looked unhealthy. This got me into exfoliation, and I will list some of my favorite tips that I swear by! Firstly, I use the mechanical exfoliation technique. This works well for my skin because it doesn’t sensitize my skin too much, and I can exfoliate more often. I usually do it every alternate day, but it really depends on individual skin characteristics. I see that alternate days are best for me because it is a sufficient amount of time for my skin to heal from the micro abrasions created, but long enough for my skin to accumulate build up. Secondly, I prefer to use my hands rather than tools. I feel that with the warmth of my fingers, it helps my pores open up so that I can get a good exfoliation. It is also easier to manoeuvre my fingers around the structures of my face. I always make sure to work in circular motions to get rid of the dead skin. I move in circular motions on my cheeks, and on my chin and forehead, I move outwards and away from the center of my face. This is to minimize any stretching of the skin so that I don’t develop any wrinkles. I usually exfoliate for three to four minutes depending on the build up on my skin, and I have noticed that this technique rejuvenates my skin so well! It feels smooth and massaged which I love. I strongly recommend for anyone who has oily skin like I do, to make use of facial scrubs and exfoliators. These products are excellent in preventing acne break outs and getting rid of scars, and make your skin GLOW! I personally love the ST. Ives - Fresh Skin Apricot Scrubfor my skin type! You should also try to discover the product for you. So start your exfoliation journey today!🌞🌞

Two Products I Love!!
ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub I’ve read a lot of reviews from people who didn’t like this product because of how big the exfoliating pieces are, but I love it. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with sensitive skin because it can be slightly harsh depending on the pressure you use and how often you use it, however because my hyperpigmentation is so deep, I appreciate how much it scrubs away. My skin is always so soft and polished right after using. I’m not sure about the brightening affect, but I’ve only been using it for a few weeks so I feel like it’s too soon to tell. I’d say if you don’t have sensitive skin and benefit from a strong exfoliate then this is the product for you! It also only cost around $9 at Target. 💪🏾 My second fav is this clay mask I got from my IPSY May bag! The Pūrlisse Match Green Tea + Lemon Detoxifying Charcoal Mask. Every clay mask I’ve ever used leaves my skin red, itchy, and dry; this one goes on thin, smells great and never fails to leave my skin feeling super soft and refreshed. It’s great for AM or PM use and gentle enough to be used 2 or 3 times a week if needed. I’m not sure how deep it goes, or how well it clears my pores, but it does make my skin feel good, and like I said smells great. A full sized bottle cost $35 so I’m not sure I’d buy it on my own, but I will miss it when this one runs out so who knows! To me, this mask is a great self-care item to add to your list for when you need a pamper night to revive and rejuvenate your skin.☀️
ACURE-Brightening Facial Scrub
Sephora Collection Bright Skin Exfoliating Scrub $13.00 An exfoliating scrub formulated with volcanic sand and marula oil to exfoliate and smooth skin. Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily Skincare Concerns: Dullness and uneven texture, Pores, Dryness Formulation: Scrub I have used this for 4 months and although I do like the results, I will not repurchase. If you take a look at the second picture, you’ll see the scrub particles in this product. No matter how light you rub, those particles hurt! Not sure why they are so harsh on the skin but they are. It’s very affordable however I would not recommend this as it could irritate skin especially if you have sensitive skin.
