D.BennettFor some skin care to take results it takes around a min of 4-6 weeks.. If you don’t see results by the end of that .. For your skin I would Use Azelaic Acid, Or Salicylic Acid, & chemical peel (once a week). Also I like CeraVe but I have found other cleansers work better -La Roche Posay -First Aid Beauty Also the CeraVe SA or acne foaming wash.. Pick one acid or retinol and add it to your skin slowly.. I think CeraVe formulation is too gentle for your skin.. I used Differins Gel and that worked for me Also during the day I wouldn’t double up on moisturizer me with oily skin just your sunscreen moisturizer.

Peeling Mask by ordinary... what it did for me?
I got this 3 months ago and have been using it 1-3 times a month. So what are our AHAs and BHAs well basically they are chemical exfoliants. What they do is they act to breakdown or unglue the bonds holding dull, dead skin on the surface. Once those bonds are broken—gently and evenly—skin naturally sheds its spent cells. It improves the look of dull and uneven skin tone skin. Aha stands for (alpha hydroxy acids, e.g. glycolic and lactic acids) and BHA (beta hydroxy/salicylic acid). So what did this help me with? Nothing. I was looking forward to this product and usually with chemical exfoliants my skin reacts so week and it feels super smooth but with this product I don’t know why I don’t get good results because it’s suppose to have AMAZING powerful ingredients to nourish the skin. I also know I am applying it correctly because my dermatologist told me so. She also told me to stay clear of this product while i’m struggling with acne. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Overall I would recommend trying it out if you want to. But good acids for chemical exfoliants are The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I love these. They help with hyperpigmentation as well.

What kind of Acne is this!?
I may believe this could be hormonal acne due to my recent birthcontrol i got about 2 month's ago. I have the Mirena IUD. I do, in fact, wash my face EVERY morning/night. Before the IUD my facial skin was GREAT with not really any pimples. I wash my face with warm water using the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily CleanserNeutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser (foaming one) Then, i use Clean&Clear - Acne Triple Clear Exfoliating Facial Scrub about 2/3x a week. i also use, The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 2x a week. i recently started using The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution about a week ago but i only use it Wednesday's when i don't use any other products to wash my face other than the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser, and i only use The Ordinary Peeling Solution on Wednesday at night. I then Lastly, follow up with CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin every morning and night. I'm not sure why i brake out when i wash my face every morning and night and my boyfriend doesn't wash his face at all (only in showers) and he does not have breakouts like me 😭 oh the joy's of being a female and having to deal with hormonal acne. P.S soo sorry for the embarrassing photos of me and my ugly horrible acne breakouts 💩 im sure im noy the only one!

The 15$ rule
I wholeheartedly believe that you don't need to ever pay more than 15$ for a makeup or skincare product. 15 dollars Through advertisements, celebrities, and even TV shows the skincare and makeup industries have tricked you into believing that more expensive things are ALWAYS better. This simply isn't true. You can get much more for so much less. Drugstore makeup gets a bad rep, but ive had better products from ELF than morphe or urban decay. Don't let pricetags fool you! Sometimes you can get better products for more money, but you can usually get a product that does 90% as good for under 15$. Here are some examples: URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Correcting Concealer A drying concealer for 30$ e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer A hydrating, long lasting concealer for 10$ 😃 NARS - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation A cakey, drying foundation for 50$ The Ordinary - Colour. Serum Foundation A standard, everyday foundation that smooths right into your skin! 🙂 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream A healing, repairing cream, but is overpriced. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Extremely similar, but wayyy cheaper!! 😌 I am in no way judging you if you have expensive products, im not criticizing. And im definetly not saying cheap products are better than expensive ones. I've seen some terrible drugstore makeup 🤢 Im saying is that you don't need hundreds of dollars to get decent products! Thanks so much for reading! :))

Hi friends👋🏼 I’ve been using this wreck of a year to FINALLY start taking care of my skin! I did a TON of research over the summer and finally started a multi-step routine last month. I’d appreciate some seasoned skincare advice, since I’m still mostly a newbie 🥺 ☀️ Cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin (works well, no strong medicated scent, and it makes me feel clean right away!) Toner: DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner (not great, not bad, just an average toner) Serums: COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (can already see a difference on my nose/chin after just a week!) DERMA•E - Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (LOVE this serum! I can already see a slight brightening of my skin after 1 week. I also love the smell🥰) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Only gave 3 stars because I can’t tell if the recent decrease in acne is due to starting this or my period ending?) Eye Cream: VERSED - VACATION EYES Brightening Eye Gel (pretty sure this isn’t doing anything... I just keep using it because I already have it...) Spot Treatment: Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment (Similarly to TO, can’t tell yet if this is working or if my acne was more hormonal¿) Moisturizer: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Sunscreen: Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 🌚 Make-Up Remover: CeraVe - Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths (I use these on my lazy evenings) 1st Cleanse: VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm (LOOOVE. Helps get everything loose for my 2nd cleanse) 2nd Cleanse: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin *Same Serums/Eye Creams/Spot Treatment as AM* Retinol: CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum (using every night and I don’t think it’s too harsh, but it’s also not doing much?) Moisturizer: CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream (very rich & creamy!) Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Healing Jelly, Rich Moisturizing (on lips and extra dry areas for locked in moisture through the night) What’s the verdict? Are there products I should add/remove/change the order of? I REALLY want a better eye cream and have heard good things about THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream??I’m also thinking about replacing my current toner with THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Liquid Toner 100ml. THANKS 🖤

Updated Night Routine 🌙
my night routine consists of 5 products. this is the order in which i use them and how i'd rate them! 1. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin this is a great product. it does everything it should be doing as a cleanser, and for something that costs less than $15 and can be used for upwards of 5 months, it's even better. but for my acne (hormonal) needs, i want something stronger, which is why i won't be repurchasing this when i finish it. however, if you get a pimple here and there, have normal skin, and just want to maintain its clarity, this is a great option! 2. Cetaphil - Gentle Foaming Cleanser[FourStars] this is another great product. i use it to double cleanse on days i feel my skin needs it. it's not strong enough to fight hormonal acne, which is why i wouldn't use it by itself. it's just good to have if you want to get another extra clean, and is super gentle on the skin. the only downside it has is that it kind of smells like bubble soap? which isn't a big deal at all, just something i feel i should mention! if you have sensitive skin, this would be a great product to use. 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% i've written a long post on just this product alone, so if you want to see a more detailed reasoning for the rating, you should head to that post! but in summary, this product can cause me to get pimples if i use too much at a time. but it has worked to fight acne, and has done wonders for other people! 4. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% this product is one of the best i've ever owned, and if you have dark spots like me, it's a fantastic way to lighten them. i also wrote a review on this in its own separate post if you want more details. there's also pictures from a few months ago vs. now to show progress! but basically, this product has worked amazing for me. 5. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin just like the cerave cleanser, this moisturizer does its job! i usually don't use it at night because it's difficult to layer on the azelaic acid, but i do in the morning and it keeps my skin hydrated! i've all been using this for months and still have plenty left. that's my routine! thanks for reading ☺️

🥵This serum is not it🥵
So I’ve been using PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator L'ORÉAL - Revitalift Derm Intensives Vitamin C Serum The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water My skin looks great using all of the products listed above, you can see in the second photo. After my skin was reallly vibin and adjusting to my current product use I was like “let’s mix it up to try to see if I can get even better results” 🤔 which was me adding the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum into the mix. The night after I used it my face was full of red spots and just overall blotchy skin with redness, you can see in the 1st photo. I do not recommend LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum it is full of fragrance which I’m think is what keeps giving me a reaction? Not sure either way it is not worth it and I’m pretty sure it’s around $30 so it’s a definite no. Save your money on this one.

Bumpy texture and acne
Hello! I’ve recently tried to stick to a more consistent skin care routine, although I did get help selecting the products based on the skincare goals I had I have yet to achieve the goals I had in mind. As of right now I’m using : THAYERS - Unscented Facial Toner Followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 And my moisturizer is normally : CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ And a pump of CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum Occasionally I will use the following ( on alternate nights) : The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream I’m starting to believe that the little bumps on my cheeks won’t go away because they may be fungal acne, but can’t tell. I need help in finding out what this is and how I can clear up my skin! 😩😩😩 Overall I just need help! Thank you ! xxx

Day and Night facial products
So as I turned 41 this summer, I thought it was about time to pamper my skin. I used to be into skincare products, I guess working in a mall and being able to browse and test products will do that. But then I had my son and I didn’t even think about my skin until I started to notice how dry my skin was looking, let alone the wrinkles which seemed to creep up on me before I knew it. The first product I bought was CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser and I’ve used it most faithfully since March every evening. I wanted to start with something simple and this fits the bill. I’d tried Cetaphil products before with no luck so I thought I’d try CeraVe which were specifically for dry skin. Then I needed something for my Occasional acne breakouts. I bought Neutrogena - Pink Grapefruit Activated Cream-to-Foam Facial Cleanser A little goes along way. I don’t find it too drying because I don’t use it everyday. I needed a facial scrub first so I bought OLAY - Pore Perfecting Face Scrub with Vitamin C & Dragon Fruit I’ve used this scrub a handle of times and like it and can’t find anything bad about it. I like the scent. I decided to add a couple of serums to my collection - CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I guess this is ok but I was using this at night and maybe it would be better off used during the day? I will likely incorporate this back into my morning skincare routine and see how it goes, and next serum I added was PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum I use this on my cheeks during the evening when I remember haha. It’s a bit sticky but it’s an added boost of moisture they my skin needs. I was looking for a toner next, I remember the days well when I was a faithful user of Bonne Bells 10-0-6 toner but I didn’t want something with alcohol in it, and so I started to use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner I love the scent and I don’t find it drying to my skin at all. I work in fast food so I find this feels nice and cooling at the end of the day and helps with the grease factor. I’ve started to use it in the morning before my moisturizer and makeup. Lastly, I will started to use CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and it it just what my dry skin needs at night! It’s thicker than I thought it would be so a little goes a long way. I am also digging the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser & Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Smoothing Gel Exfoliator 150ml What about anyone else over 40? What’s your skin care routine like? I’m always up for product recommendations and trying new things!

Glowing skin
I struggle with pores on my cheeks, some blackheads, and redness. I’ve been using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for 9 weeks about 3x per week. Formulation wise 10% niacinamide packs a punch. I’ve noticed an immediate glow after using and my skin looks bright. Unfortunately I haven’t seen an improvement in pores or blackheads. Furthermore the texture of TO is a little sticky and has a tendency to foam. I’ve recently added in GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner and find I prefer it. Review on that product to follow once I give it enough time. TO is a great price point (around $6) so you can always give it a go without breaking the bank. I like the glow it gives my skin but am not sure if I will repurchase once I finish the bottle.

Skin so 🌼glowy & bright🌻 —> Vitamin C
👋 I’m Sarah and I’m 24 years old. I’ve recently gotten really deep in to skincare. I always liked taking care of my face but I didn’t know the products i had been using were terrible until a few months ago (cuz U kno skincare tiktok) so I revamped my skincare routine and here we are with some before and after pics of my skin. Honestly the main thing I notice is how much brighter my complexion is (Thank u Vit C). I’ll leave a list of products I use/d. I’m introducing a few new products into my routine and trying to get my skin used to retinol in the next few weeks so wish me luck 🌝 CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream I find this can be too heavy on my skin but besides that I really like it and think it’ll be great to have for winter L'ORÉAL - Revitalift Derm Intensives Vitamin C Serum this is my favorite vitamin C serum I’ve tried so far. It’s so gentle on my face but still get the job done. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I WISH I would have discovered this years ago BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water tbh regular micellar water but still great LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum honestly a waste of money, not that is doesn’t work but, for me, all of my products already have hyaluronic acid in them so my skin would break out in little bumps from using too much or the terrible fragrance or both probably. I do still use it sometimes but mostly bc it was $30ish. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I just started using this a few weeks ago but I have high expectations. I use it once a week atm. So far so good. CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum I’m still trying to figure out how to incorporate this into my routine w/o my skin flaring up. I’m put it on top of my moisturizer tonight, hopefully that does the trick.

Hello! This is my first post and I’m extrémalo excited to join this community and share what has worked for me. In these pictures there is about a 2 months difference but my skin has been this clear for about a month so I’m order to see my results it took around a month. 😊 I’d be lying if i said that I accomplished this with just skincare products because what made the real change was Accutane. Yet, a good skincare routine helps a lot! And is what I’ve been doing to keep my skin this way. I use CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser and I love it! I exfoliate with the DIOR - Hydra Life Time to Glow Ultra Fine Exfoliating Powder which I really like(it was gifted)! Next what I do is use the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which has helped my little hyperpigmentation. I also use the DIOR - Hydra Life Deep Hydration Sorbet Water Essence (gifted) I love it because it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated! After I use the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream which is great at night! And to finish it off I use TULA SKINCARE - Go Away Acne Spot Treatment

• I have been following this skincare routine for roughly a month or so.. I have Normal/Combo skin, and so far, I haven’t been seeing many noticeable changes on my skin. I struggle with small white bumps on my face, uneven skin tone, as well as hyperpigmentation. I did lots of research about skincare prior to purchasing these products, and I was recommended these products based on my skin type + struggles. • step 1.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying I use this product every night to take off makeup and/or sunscreen. The bottle says to use a cotton pad, but I use my hands because I am trying to be more environmentally conscious. • step 2CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I heard good things about this cleanser from the Youtuber Skincare By Hyram. I also heard it worked excellently for other people, so I gave it a try. It’s been working pretty well for me so far. I cleanse every morning + night. • step 3 The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I struggle with dark spots (hyperpigmentation.) I heard this product is supposed to help brighten + fade dark spots, so I ordered it. I’ve been using it for roughly a month now, and I’m still not seeing results. I’m not gonna give up on the product, though. I use this every morning + night. • step 4The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Okay, I’m just gonna come clean and say that the only reason I bought this product is because Skincare By Hyram recommended it. But I ended up finding out it works well with The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. I use this product every night. • step 5CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I heard this product was good, and everyone needs a good moisturizer in their life! I have nothing bad to say about it, its lightweight, and a go-to for me! I use this product every morning + night. • step 6Neutrogena - UltraSheer Face Sunscreen SPF 60I’ve heard good & bad things about this sunscreen. But so far, I dislike it. It feels heavy on my skin and it leaves a HUGE white-cast. It also doesn’t even dry on my skin. I kinda feel like its contributing to my acne because its so thick. I use this product every single morning. • Please criticize my routine, or tell me why it isn’t working all that well on my skin. Also, if you have any product recommendations for me, please, do tell!

review my skin routine (dry/eczema prone skin) ✨
step 1. CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin Best face wash for dry/eczema prone skin, recommended to me by very single doctor, dermatologist and skincare specialist step 2. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is formulated to help with hyperpigmentation (which i have loads of due to my pesky skin picking habit). isn’t abrasive or burning towards the skin. step 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% has helped a lot with my acne scares, but hasn’t really helped with my large pores. step 4. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin HOLY GRAIL FOR DRY SKIN. really lightweight and absorbing makes my skin soft and has helped my dry skin. step 5. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100 this is a pretty basic sunscreen i haven’t been going out in the sun too much so i don’t know if it’s working but it has lightened some of my acne scares/prevented them. i’m looking for batter one but this is the only one i have extras: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has legit made it so my skin doesn’t get massive pimples or breakouts anymore. burns the first time but it’s nothing i couldn’t handle and i have pretty sensitive skin. sometimes i use this as a spot treatment for 10 min. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil i use this when my skin feel really dry and it always softens the texture of my face. can be used for double cleansing or oil cleansing which really gets rid of sebum in the pores

Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to work on my skin for the last year but I haven’t seen many results. I’ll share my current routine and I would love any advice you have to offer. Thank you!! In the morning I just wash my face with water and at night I use the Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash. I’ve used the Cerave SA cleanser in the past but it dried out and irritated my skin to the point where it was painful, which is why I switched to this one. I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%morning and night right after rinsing my face. I use The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%at night, right after the niacinamide. I use theCetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotionmorning and night. I use the The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalaneat night for added moisture I use theAveeno - Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50in the mornings- but it leaves a white cast so if anyone has any POC-friendly mineral sunscreen recs send them my way 🥺 I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutiononce a week for five minutes- I used to use it every 5 days for ten minutes but I heard that can worsen hyperpigmentation for POC so I cut back. I own The Ordinary Lactic Acid in 5% but I haven’t used it yet since I’m waiting to see whether or not I feel the Azelaic Acid is helping. This is my current routine- I am open to any and all advice as I am desperate at this point.

NURSING MAMA’S PM SKINCARE
NURSING MAMA’S PM SKINCARE
If there is one thing I can NEVER skip, it’s my PM skincare routine. I can’t relax at night until my skincare is done. Doesn’t matter how simple and quick my routine may be, it’s something that really helps me unwind and feel done for the day. Before I was pregnant, I used Retin A every night and loved it. It helped keep my acne calm and obviously helps with anti aging. I look forward to the time I can safely use Retin A again (honestly, more than I look forward to having a glass of wine 😬). Now as a nursing mama, I’ve had mixed reviews from different doctors on the use of topical Retin A. As a personal choice, I’ve decided not to use Retin A while nursing because I wasn’t comfortable (same goes for that glass of wine 🙂). It’s taken some time for me to find some nursing friendly products that I like, but in the end, I’ve found that simple is best for me. 🍼CLEANSE: Same as AM, my go-to CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin If I wore makeup during the day, I will either double cleanse with this, or use POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser to break down really stubborn make up before washing my face. If I’m struggling with a bit more acne, I’ll use the CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser as my cleanser. 🍼TONE: I use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution at night only. The mild exfoliation helps with texture, uneven skin tone, and anti-aging. 🍼TREAT: Same as AM, I use the PCA skin - Pigment Gel HQ Free This is used as a spot treatment to target hyperpigmentation from acne scaring. I’ve loved the results so far. Just make sure it is the HQ free version for all of you nursing mamas. I then dab 2-3 drops of The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA which also helps with texture, radiance, and anti aging. 🍼MOISTURE: Same as AM, CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin The best. Need I say more. To lock it all in, I finish with CeraVe - Skin Renewing Gel Oil to Improve Skin Radiance This gel oil formula works to seal in the added moisture. It is a bit thick and oily (hence, gel oil) which is why I only use the product at night. It does eventually sink in well and never feels greasy on my face, but I just don’t have the time in the morning to let it sink in before applying any make up and being on my way. That’s it. Definitely more steps at night than in the morning but this is my “me time”. What’s your go to PM skincare product that I should check out? As always, consult your doctor before using any new products while pregnant/breastfeeding.
