Toners for Oily/Combination Skin
Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner
Toners toners toners
Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner as you can see, I am IN LOVE with this product. I have finished two small bottles, and now i am on my third and bigger bottle!!! This is my first toner i’ve ever used it’s what I am currently using and forever will be using. I really started using toners because I love the hydration it gives, and thats the whole purpose of toners (other than treatment toners). The main ingredient is calendula and also has actual calendula petals and states its alcohol free. It’s non irritating to my skin, EVEN WHEN I have compromised skin. Its super soothing, and it’s trumps all of the other toners i will talk about later. It’s the only one that works for both my oily (in summer) and dry skin (in winter). I love how it preps my skin for my other skincare care products. Honestly, some may say its not necessary, and they’re right TBH. BUT i just really love the experience, the fact that after cleansing my skin I immediately get that dry feeling on my face (even with non stripping cleanser), and when i apply this toner it just sinks in my skin and plumps it. I use two or even three layers of this at night and it makes my skin happy! LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer so i think i talked about this toner in my previous post so pls check it out! All in all, I pair it with kiehls calendula toner for the extra hydration and it’s great. Top it off with a moisturizer and sunscreen and I’m good to go. I really emphasize on protecting my skin and giving it as much hydrating as possible in the day time to help repair my skin barrier (compare to night=treatment). So oily skin folks, i don’t recommend. Winter skincare it’s 👌🏻 COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner i bought this after using two bottles of my kiehls toner, i wanted to try something new. It has a perfect spray cap¿ and i heard centella is great. It’s also alcohol free so its not drying to the skin. But i found that, even if i really love toners for its hydration, i feel like i’m just spraying water on my skin and the experience is not that great with the spray, i hated how it went on my hair lol. I think from personal experience, i wouldn’t repurchase. But centella ingredients itself is great, and i have it in my other skincare products. Haruharu - Wonder, Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner lastly, hyaluronic toner, HA in short helps retain moisture in your skin and in turn plumps your skin which is really all about hydration. BUT i was using this when i was struggling with eczema and it just wasn’t it. Idk if i used it wrong but it made my skin so swollen and my eyes sooooo puffy. Idk if i’m allergic¿ to HA but i guess ill test it out again! So i’ve been educating myself a lot about skincare, but obviously i am not an expert so please correct me if i’m wrong, and also i am not here to tell you this and that, but mostly to share my personal experience💗
Must-have products for my combination skin in summer
I have a combination sensitive skin. My t-zone is oily, especially in summer. There are acnes around my t-zone. I have two must-have products to use in humid weather. One is Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Tonerand Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream The combo helps control my face oil and brings a refreshing and cooling feeling. This alcohol-free toner contains calendula herbal extract. It can cleanse and smooth the skin without causing irritation and redness. There is Calendula in the formula, which is famous for hundreds of years for its ability to heal the skin. it heals blemishes, prevents breakouts, and hydrates thirsty skin. I have used this for a few years. The texture is lightweight. The gentle and soothing toner moisturizes the skin. My t-zone oily skin is controlled, and I noticed there is a huge difference. I use this every morning before making-up with a cotton pad. It’s a really good product and I honestly recommend it After using this toner, I use ultra facial oil-free gel-cream to deep moisturizer my face. It is a super lightweight jelly texture feels refreshing and comfortable. It can be absorbed easily by the skin and provide the skin with long-time hydration. This is my new favorite face moisturizer in summer. It leaves my skin clean and refreshed. There is no fragrance in the formula, which is perfect for naturally oily and sensitive skin.it is good for pimples and acne. This is the best combo for sensitive combination skin. My skin is hydrating, and dead cells are removed after using it. There are visibly less acne and pimples around my face. It is a good value for the money. I would defiantly recommend these and buy them again.

Good Molecules niacinamide Toner RUINED my skin
This Toner RUINED my skin! GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner 😢 I've used niacinamide, vitamin C, & alpha arbutin (even though this product uses arbutin) all before with no negative reactions, until now. I desperately wanted to like this product cuz I was looking for a good inexpensive toner to use daily. Because of this I probably used it too long hoping the reaction was only purging, not having a negative reaction. My skin was finally starting to look semi presentable, but this caused me to go back to square 1, farther back than phase 1. My skin was so horribly red & anything I put on top of it tingled. I even patch tested it (on my neck, not my face) before I used it all over my face. for weeks my skin was drastically more sensitive when using any product even when I was no longer using this toner. I haven't been able to find out the % of each ingredient they're using (example The Ordinary is 10% niacinamide), which seems 🐟 to me. Just be cautious when using this product.

A great toner for dry and other skin types
With niacinamide being a key ingredient, this toner claims to target uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores and strengthen your skin’s barrier function. My skin can be very dry and dull, especially in the winter or when I visit colder states. This has really changed my skin and I plan on sticking with this for a while. I have made a mistake of over exfoliating but this helped repair my skin barrier and I do not notice any irritation when I exfoliate. It hydrated my skin and I usually like to use 2 or 3 layers in the morning. But one layer will do! My sister has a more oily/combo skin and she hasn’t experienced any problems with this toner either. I wish it came in a travel size so I can bring it on trips!

Cult classic glow tonic
The pixi - Glow Tonic has been a cult favorite for years, to the point where it’s not available in a huge pump bottle. It contains 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate and brighten, and ingredients like aloe and ginseng to soothe. This does contain added fragrance, though it’s not overwhelming for me personally. I’ve used this toner in the past and I found it follows through on the exfoliating and brightening claims. It’s similar to The Ordinary’s 7% glycolic toner, though pricier. Luckily, they have this smaller size so you can try it out and see if it works for you. I will say that I’m a bit wary of Pixi as a brand because they seem to be constantly rolling out entire new collections of products. I tend to gravitate toward more minimalistic brands so I don’t have to choose between 27 different moisturizers and 38 serums, which can be a bit overwhelming.
(YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE) KOMBUCHA TONER first of all, this is my FAVORITE toner i’ve ever tried, especially for texture and exfoliation. the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toneris a runny, water-like in consistency toner that gives massive benefits in terms of chemical exfoliation. it is pretty strong though, so it’s best to start with using it about twice a week and slowly move up from there. i have pretty dull skin so it’s great for people like me that can’t always get a glow by just masking or moisturizing. it also claims to help smooth skin and help appearence, which i have noticed. it helps my skin texture be more consistent whenever i’m having trouble (usually on my forehead). it’s $38 for 4oz which isn’t too bad because you really don’t have to use that much per application. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This 77.78% rice toner is an elixir for dry skin
HONEST FEMME FINDS: [I’m From] is quickly becoming a favorite brand of mine and is a true ally to the dry/dull/combo skin fam. I’m picky about my toners- I feel that toners are not a true skincare necessity and if I’m spending money to use one, it better be great! Many toners on the market are either too drying or hydrating but too sticky for me personally. I’m thinking of doing a post comparing my top toners but for now, here are my thoughts on this baby 🍼. I'm from - Rice Toner 🍚 FIRST IMPRESSIONS: the packaging is so minimal, so classy. The bottle itself is made of glass which is an upgrade for my vanity but not so much for my butter fingers- I’m always afraid of dropping it! The “white” of the bottle is 100% the toner itself. The rice extract must be very concentrated because it’s nothing like the opaque rice water I get when prepping steamed rice for dinner. 🍚 NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: other than the 77.78% rice extract from Korea, niacinamide is 5th on the list. Bútylene glycol, a popular humectant, is one of the last ingredients but may tell us why it’s so intensely hydrating. 🍚 USE: After a good shake the liquid comes onto my hand in appropriate quantities, has a pigmented pearly and chalky appearance but doesn’t feel gritty at all on the face. Once it’s patted on the face, the whiteness pretty much disappears, leaving a super comfortable and intensely hydrating residue so I really only use two “turns” each time. In the morning, I use this toner after my a quick water rinse and before my Vit C serum. The toner is also my go-to midday moisturizer because of how it plumps up my skin like a normal moisturizer would. It’s also the first thing I use after the shower now. Another thing to note is how soft and moist my skin feels even hours after application but isn’t sticky at all! 🍚 PRICE: this product currently retails for $25 on Amazon prime, a little higher than I’d normally pay for a 150ml toner. I do use way less of the product as I don’t “layer up” as I do other toners. Do I regret spending the $25? Absolutely not. Cheers to carbs for good skin health 🥂

Toner for dry skin? Look no further.
GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner PRODUCT This is a niacinamide-based toner that targets uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores while strengthening your skin’s barrier function. The inclusion of licorice root extract soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production. Making this the perfect toner for anyone with dry and/or dehydrated skin. It has a very liquid texture that is slightly more viscous than water – see second photo for reference. EXPERIENCE This toner is great for daily use, especially when the skin is feeling dry or dehydrated. My skin often gets dehydrated from sun exposure, or even testing 1,000 different products at a time, so I often take a step back and cut all the unnecessary junk out of my routine and just give my skin what it needs. It is often hard to find a toner that fits into this routine because most are packed with alcohol and are therefore very drying. This one is different. Due to the exclusion of alcohol in the ingredients list, it is suitable for daily use, and works wonderfully for those times when your skin feels dry or dehydrated. I find that on my skin, it not only brightens and helps with the texture of my skin, but it is also slightly hydrating – a huge shift from other toners in my collection. This was kindly gifted to me by the brand, but I have been using it for about 3 months. I have recommended this to my friends and followers, and at $14 for 4 oz., this product is a steal! I rate it 5/5 stars!
