End of Day 8, Before Routine
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been caught up with work but still continuing my routine. These pictures were taken before washing my face today just to see if there's been any improvement. So far I've noticed my acne isn't the main issue today, it's the red spots. I have a few pimples here and there compared to how it was at the beginning of this week. I am still waiting to receive my products from Hero Cosmetics, and I am looking forward to trying out the HERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for Blemishes, HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm, and the HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wandthe most! I will keep you guys updated and thank you for being here with me on my journey to healthier skin (:
The top pictures are from August, and the bottom two pictures are my face currently, November 1st. I've always struggled with acne throughout my life but it was finally clearing up. I don't know what happened but at the start of October, I started breaking out terribly! I'm not sure what to do, I have a couple products I use already and I read a post on here saying it might be hormonal, so I'm going to start birth control again. My current products are CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum and I just ordered some things from Hero Cosmetics as well. The products I ordered are HERO COSMETICS - Rescue BalmHERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Surface for MadewellHERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for BlemishesHERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewelland I also got their Lightening Wand. I will keep you guys updated on my skin journey and if anyone has any comments or recommendations please let me know!

So I try a lot of acne patches because although my skin is usually fine, as a woman we get periods and those hormones cause me to break out. I usually use HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell and get this off of Amazon but I found it to be on the tad expensive side even though it does work. I then also bought the ZITSTICKA - Goo Getter which I have yet to use and is also not super cheap but I think it will work as well. I recently purchased the CRÈME shop - Cotton Candy Skin Hydrocolloid Acne Patches and the CRÈME shop - Dreamy Skin Hydrocolloid Dark Spot Acne Patches after seeing one of my fav youtubers talk about it and well, it’s not only affordable but it works! I got it directly off their site and it works amazing not to mention that it smells great and looks cute! They’re like $4.50 each so I bought a few and I would totally buy more! Don’t spend a lot when there are affordable options! My dark spots are clearing but slowly (after a few days) and my acne just vanishes! I definitely recommend this!
Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.
Pimple patches to the rescue!!
Loving this NEW product by Hero Cosmetics for pimples. I love their original and invisible (my fave) patches and these new ones have tiny micropoints to reach under the skin pimples. They come in a box of 6 for $12 ish dollars. Not the best price in my opinion, but definitely worth the try! (These were gifted to me by the brand).
New from Hero Cosmetics
HERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for Blemishes I have acne prone skin and pimple patches are must have for my skincare routine. Mighty Patch Original & Invisible are one of the most effective Pimple Patch in the market! But here’s the new addition to the collection. Micropoint works for early stage blemishes. The regular patches works amazing on popped ones but did nothing for under the skin acne. This Micropoint dissolves into skin and delivers acne fighting ingredients. When I received this, I did have painful blemish on my forehead under skin. I used this immediately and left it on for 6+ hours. After I initially put it on, I completely forgot about the patch since it’s so comfortable. When I took it off, my blemish was small and almost gone.

I want to talk about pimples! More specifically, 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒! 🤬 Those 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐢𝐠, 𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲, 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 that love to make appearances in the worst places at the worst of times!! You know! ⭐️ Although I’m pretty guilty of doing this...we all are even if we preach other wise & probably the worst thing you can do is 𝐏𝐎𝐏 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐒! Popping your pimples not only can 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 & pus from the infected pore to the surrounding area but it can also lead to infection & scarring. 🌟 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 ?! A pimple patch! More specifically @starface they’re a spot treatment for your nasty face invaders! These hydro stars will not only zap your pimple but it’ll do it in a much more gentler way. It literally sucks the gunk of your pimple & shields your skin from bacteria & protects it from the need to want to pick at it! These babies are amazing! ⭐️ I usually get hormonal breakouts along with several 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 invaders that last for weeks & can be painful too! I’ve used several of these & I will say depending on the size and type of pimple on average it took 3 days to zap my pimple using a @starface patch. 𝟑 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬?! I’d say that was pretty impressive, not to mention they come in this adorable pocket sized case with a baby mirror! 🤩
Anti-Acne Remember This Do And Don't
Skin type: combination, oily T-zone in summer/ dry in winter Main concern: Acne I've had acne since the 8th grade, and it hasn't stopped for almost ten years. I've experienced several kinds of breakouts, such as hormonal acne, zit, pustules, stress acne etc. This can be said the nightmare of my life. Every day I wake up with annoying new breakouts. And I don't know how to cover it. Later, when I entered university, I learned to apply makeup, and I bought a lot of concealers and foundation with good coverage. But the truth is, the more I wanted to cover acne, the more acne bumped up. Here are two products and related tips I want to talk about. # Thursday Plantation Farm Tea Tree Acne Gel 25g It is a tea tree medicated gel for acne, which will heal pimples and acnes slowly. It contains tea tree oil, which is a natural antibacterial agent that penetrates the skin. It's my DO products when I endure severing breakouts. I usually apply a small amount to the affected area after the shower. Because I also experience back acne and breast acne. Cleansing is the most important part of healing acne. If you cannot keep inflamed are clean, it would be hard for this gel to play its role. And I would use gel when I saw pimple that tends to appear. This gel can dry it before it tends to breakout. I found it is not useful for pustules that resemble a whitehead with a red ring around the bump. # Cosrx, Acne Pimple Master Patch, 24 Patches COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch This acne patch is my DON'T. I couldn't remember when I bought it. It is such a trendy on the Internet. I saw many influencers use it, which is why I want to give it a try. But it is a no for me. I apply it to my bump, which is typically filled with white or yellow pus after picking or squeezing. Remind: Don't pick or squeeze your breakout, it may cause inflammation. I squeeze it only when it breaks naturally. And I would clean the around area of it. This acne patch's shape is suitable for cover. But it cannot soak the pus entirely, which makes my bump keeps inflaming and may lead to a scar. To sum up, though this Cosrx, Acne Pimple Master Patch, Acne patch from 3M is perfect. If you are experiencing breakouts like me, give it a try.

The product✨ These cosrx acne pimple patches have a hydrocolloid dressing which acts to extract impurities and provide a protective barrier. Simply place on a blemish after cleansing your face and leave on overnight or during the day time. These are thin patches that aren’t too noticeable on the skin (at least for me, because I have a fair skin tone that matches these quite well) ••• My thoughts✨ These are pretty good. Each sheet comes with 24 patches with a variety of sizes to chose form depending on your blemish. You can find these at a bunch of different places, including amazon which is where I got mine, you can get 4 sheets for $12, or one sheet at Ulta for $6, which I think for pimple patches is a great deal. I’ve had mixed results with these, and part of that might be user error. I think I tend to put these on after I’ve done my whole routine, when I think it’s best to apply just after cleansing to really allow forte to make contact with the skin and blemish. I also think it’s best to use these overnight. I do think these are comfortable and often forget I’m wearing it. I will continue using these and messing around with what works best, but I would definitelyly recommend these to anyone who struggles with acne because these are so affordable. ••• COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch

The Best Pimple Patches So Far
I’ve tried several pimple patches. some have been hits, some not so much (cough cough, truly & dr. jart+). so i’m here to talk about the hits. - COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch these are amazing! loved by many, i am one of those people! they absorb dirt, oil, bacteria, and pus from any pimple OVERNIGHT. they work so well and so fast, i have quite the addiction. i can’t go to sleep without these on. super affordable at $6 and some change, but the real deal comes from ordering on a site called stylevana, where they are $2 something. plus, there are several codes out there for 10% off this website as well. - dermala “patch me (if you can)”: these work the exact same as cosrx. they are more expensive, but you save money if you get one of their acne kits. they also come with more in the pack (36, as opposed to cosrsx’s 24) and they have a variety of sizes. - NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch these are amazing as well! i find them a bit better than the others, as they have an outer ring of sticky, which holds the patch on better. especially helpful if you’re applying skincare afterwards. they also seem to work faster than the above mentioned, but the sizes are smaller.

My Canadian acne lifesaver!
My story: After I went off birth control I seriously didn’t have a week without a pimple. While this might not seem like a big deal, my pimples almost always leave scars, even if I leave them untouched (and I must say, that takes a lot of will power). I was seriously at a loss when I finally found this product. I had given up dairy, I was drinking less alcohol, I trying to eat essentially less of everything except fruits and vegetables because I was desperate to fix my skin. I tried salicylic acid products, niacinamide products, pimple patches... a lot of money and a lot of different products. I was so crushed. I hated taking pictures, I was so self conscious and I wore wayy more makeup than I usually do to cover 1) the pimples and 2) the scars. My confidence had hit a new low. THEN I was watching a YouTube video by a Canadian blogger named Allegra Shaw and saw that she had had the same issues with acne after going off birth control. She mentioned that this product was one of the only things that helped. So I rushed to Shoppers Drug Mart and bought one immediately. I opted for the face wash over the gel because I heard the gel is drying and honestly I know benzoyl peroxide might not be the best thing for the skin, so I figure quickly washing your face with it and rinsing it off is the lesser of two evils. This is one of the only products where I noticed a difference right away. I immediately stopped having acne and I haven’t had a pimple since. NOT ONE in over two months which used to seem so impossible to me. This and my Then I Met You toner have seriously changed my skin and kept my acne at bay. And the best past is that this face wash is less than $10. I try to use this just once a day in the evenings after I take off my makeup. If I ever feel like I’m at risk of a flare up (say during my time of the month) I’ll let this stay on my skin for about a minute before washing it off. Otherwise, I just gently apply to my skin and rinse it off right away. Worth it? If you’re desperate, 100%. I seriously always have two backups of this in my cupboard. I will never not have this on me. I know it might not be the best products for your skin because it can be harsh, but I just always make sure it rinse it off well and use a good moisturizer afterwards. I can’t describe to you how much more confident I have become since purchasing this and I finally feel like I can go makeup free. And now I just need to find a way to get rid of the pesky acne scars...
