My Morning Skincare Routine
When it comes to skincare I like to keep it simple. I’ve found throughout the years that less is more. When I was younger I struggled with acne and I would try literally any product that claimed it could clear acne, and honestly I think that made it worse. As someone with very oily & acne prone skin I have finally found a morning routine that works for me! 1. I first start off by washing my face with the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser I like this cleanser because it’s amazing for my oily skin and preserves the skins barrier as well as soothes the skin. How to build your skincare routine
How to build your skincare routine VOL. I - for many people getting into skincare it can super confusing (even as a professional it is) 😳 • Therefore I’m coming out with a series to help anyone who needs some guidance on where to begin 😉 • 3 parts: Step 1 - addressing your skin concerns! Step 2 - doing some research on different brands, ingredients, products to use or even consulting a professional and Step 3 - buying the essentials and not splurging 🤷🏽♀️ • Many esthetician’s and dermatologists offer consultations to clients who need help or guidance so check the ones in your area to see if that’s an option for you 👏🏽 • Not splurging is KEY! The last thing you want to do is drop $500 on products, only to find out your skin doesn’t agree with them or you don’t like them 🥴 • Was this chart helpful? Are you excited about this new series? 💙 • What’s your beginner skincare advice for building a routine? ♥️ CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Advanced Replenshing Toner
So as most of you have seen on my last post I started using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin on the 26th of December and here is my progress since the 10th of January!🥰 I am in need of a facial to professionally have all the black heads removed and clear the remaining of the pores! #help I am dealing with some scarring so please feel free to recommend some products that have personally worked for you!
New Product Alert! Kylie Skin💅🏻 Not so good review😟
This hyaluronic acid serum is the first product I ever tried from Kylie skin. I tested for a week, unfortunately it’s not worth the try for me. It does has a cute package (which apparently you cat will love it), in fact the package looks better than the bottle. The serum is a lightweight, milky liquid. When you pat it on your skin, there’s no burden. However it smells a little pungent. Kylie Skin does promise no fragrance added, so this should be the natural scent of the chemicals, which to be honest is not pleasant to accept at first. It’s good to know what the things you put on your skin actually smell tho. What bothers me is that, I can’t feel any functions of it after using for a week. Usually I can see the result of an acid type product less than a week, but this one doesn’t bring me any feeling, neither good or bad. I have bad skin condition when testing this, feeling dry and getting aches. I was hoping this serum can hydrates my face, smooth it, or make it looks more brighter. But none of it happens. If you have better skin condition maybe it will works, but if you’re trying to find a product that can accompanies you in the bad days, then I don’t recommend this one.KYLIESKIN - Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Kylie Skin: A Closer Look (Part 1)
This line of skincare products had a lot of controversy around it, especially when it comes to the infamous walnut scrub. I’m going to look through each product because a brand shouldn’t be defined by one product. KYLIE COSMETICS - Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen Oil As claims, this product easily rubs into skin leaving a slight glow because of oils derived from coconuts and kiwis. There is no white cast for this sunscreen due to the reliable synthetic agents which provide much protection. -Antioxidant rich oils such as those derived from kiwis and coconuts leaves skin smooth, soft, and slightly glowing. -Fragrance puts the skin at risk for irritation. -The high amount of denatured alcohol is problematic for skin since it’s a very stripping ingredient. KYLIESKIN - Vitamin C Serum This serum has a very lightweight lotion feel to it that is suitable for all skin types. Vitamin C is the second ingredient in the form of tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate. To support the vitamin C, the formula includes ferulic acid that helps to stabilize the vitamin C. -Fragrance-free. -Also includes safflower seed oil and vitamin E. -The formulation of this product would be better if it had more beneficial ingredients included. KYLIESKIN - Vanilla Milk Toner This toner is thankfully not like most common ones with harsh ingredients such as witch hazel, alcohol, or menthol. However, this product contains fragrance in the form of linalool and benzyl salicylate which are very irritating ingredients. -Milky texture works great for normal to more combination skin. -This product hydrates and smooths skin without any sticky residue. -Contains non-fragrant antioxidant planet extracts and oils such as those from apples, sweet almonds, kiwis, avocados, and apricots. -The brand also claims that it can unclog and minimize the appearance of pores, however, there are no ingredients in the formula that help with this. KYLIESKIN - KYLIESKIN Eye Cream This is a fragrance-free eye cream that has a creamy texture, but absorbs very quickly. It also contains really good moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, jojoba oil, and glycerin. -Includes two forms of vitamin C for its brightening effects. -The formula contains non-fragrant antioxidant plant extracts such as those from green tea, kiwis, and pomegranates. -It also contains very soothing probiotic ferments. -Unfortunately, this product doesn’t have as high amounts of beneficial ingredients as claimed. KYLIESKIN - Foaming Face Wash This cleanser is an alright cleansing option. It does well to remove dirt and excess oil without leaving. As claimed, the product also contains kiwi seed oil along with vitamins C and E. -Contains fragrance, which is an irritating component. Part Two will include a surprising find along with the controversial walnut face scrub. Thanks for reading :)

The Ordinary products for acne prone skin✨
Th Ordinary has been one of my favorite brands for some time now. I love trying new products from them knowing it won’t break the bank. I previously had a post about a few of their serums but I’ve tried to branch out since. Here’s my experience with a few new TO products as well as some of my all time favorites: The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution - such a versatile product! I’ve used it for my underarms as deodorant, sometimes my feet to get rid of dead skin cells, my butt for buttne and lastly, on my face as a gentle exfoliator! I love it for all of these uses and at under $9 for 8fl oz I think it’s an amazing deal! The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA - This moisturizer is okay. It’s too thick for my oily skin and leaves a matte finish, which isn’t something I particularly like. When my skin gets too dry I love using it because it instantly moisturizes but it’s more of a spot moisturizer for me than an all face one. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution - absolute favorite! I’m on to my second bottle now. It definitely burns or stings sometimes no matter how many times you’ve used it but I’m okay with it since it does such a great job at exfoliating. I only keep it for up to 10 min and use it 1-2 times a week, mostly once now though since I don’t want to further dry my face. The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane - this product did absolutely nothing for my face. I used it for a couple of months and my skin would refuse to absorb it, so it stayed pretty oily which I hated. I also saw no benefits to my under eye fine lines. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - this is my third bottle of this serum and this time I opted for the 60ml one as opposed to the 30ml. I use it daily and once I got to figure out the exact amount my face needs, it’s been working wonders. My face feels brighter and smoother which is why I’ve continued repurchasing. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% - purchased this product to help with hyperpigmentation and I am still to see any major differences. My skin feels better overall but I’m not sure whether it’s solely because of this product. It’s a non oily cream which is a plus for me, I’ll continue to use it until it’s done but not sure whether I’ll repurchase.
[REVIEW] The Ordinary Trio
🧊 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - Used in intervals in PM routine - Slight tightening and firming sensation - Skin appears more smooth and less oily - Minimized appearance of pores - Sticky and sudsy texture when rubbed onto skin - Fairly affordable ($5.90 USD) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💉 The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution - Used 1-3 times per month / PM routine - Tingling almost burning sensation - Skin appears brighter and smooth day(s) later - Use product sparingly - May not be suitable for sensitive skin - Fairly affordable ($7.20 USD) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☕️ The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG - Used daily in AM/PM routines - Subtle brightening/smoothing effects under eyes - Slight tightening and firming sensation - One drop is all you need (30 mL / 1 oz) - No strong scent - Rim may get crusty if touched by dropper - Fairly affordable ($6.70 USD)

My Acne Skincare Routine - Results in 4 Days✨
I have always struggled with dry skin + acne since I was 18 and the moment I saw significant results on my acne, I knew that the only way I could find the one product to work on my skin type is if I get myself educated and open to trying out new things even if I think it won’t work since I am acne-prone. SWIPE LEFT TO SEE MY RESULTS: I started taking photos of myself to keep track of what I’ve been using that I can’t see by looking in the mirror everyday! (PRO TIP) So, I’m so glad to finally share this for everyone to keep in mind when trying out products and hopefully it will encourage you to try it out for yourself. Of course you need to do your research but hey, skincare is all about trial and error right? At least now you know what you don’t know! Here’s a sneak peak of my acne skincare routine👇🏼 DAILY AM & PM ROUTINE: Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser 1 squeeze + to gentle cleanse my sensitive skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 2 drops + for extra and clear overall imperfections The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 2-3 drops + bring hydration to my skin CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 1 inch or fingertip size + to moisturize CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin half a pump + I use it as my sunscreen for anti-aging Benzagel - Acne Gel 5% the reason why I got results in 4 days! Less is more due to concentration. I only applied on acne spots A few tips while using the products + keep in mind: For each products, I wait 1 min each to let it seep in to my skin applied by pressing the product on my skin to avoid premature aging applied my moisturizer and sunscreen lifting upwards (never down or circular motion) and enough to disperse the product but not as much touching my skin, if that makes sense I stopped picking my skin especially even if it was flaky! I had that habit for a couple of months which made my acne worst with marks before I tried the benzoly. So please take everyone’s advise on this! If you had to scratch your nose or you’re itchy, I usually just lightly press my fingernails on my skin. Weird but it helped to avoid irritation while I have my products on and if your hands are 100% clean, it won’t do anything + itch is gone! I hope you understood what I mean by pressing your fingernails Consistency and discpline is key! I don’t know why people don’t include disciple because without it, consistency is nothing. It’s also like saying something you don’t mean Notice that I include how much I used? Less is more and clearly, you can see the difference Notice how I only took a photo on the left side of my face? That can only mean because of my pillow. Please change it! Of course 4 days isn’t enough to get clear skin but it’s always a step closer to reach my goals so patience is also key!
My Skin Has Never Looked Better 🙌
So I haven’t done the let the app scan my face for flaws in a while so I figured why not do it right now? I was very surprised with my results. I knew that my skin was looking pretty good but over never had every category be green before! Here are the products I use: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I use it daily every morning and I pat my face dry with a towel. CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin I use this product after my face has dried from being washed. I also will put it on at night if I feel like my face is dry or has some dry spots. AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I love using this. It makes my faces feel tight and soft. My sister and I use it once a week on Saturday night for a little “spa time” in our room. I just use water but I do wanna try it with the apple cider vinegar some day
I want to clear the texture of my skin!! I think my skin is not in a super bad condition but there are little bumps and weird textures on my forehead which i want to smoothen or possibly get rid of! I want to try nizoral but i wanted to know if there are any other reccomandations?? this is my current routine > CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and sometimes -> The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

I See Progress! 🥰🤩
Hello loves! I haven’t posted in a long time because I’ve been switching up my routine and it’s almost been 2 weeks now since I’ve started using new products on my skin. For those of you that don’t know my main concern with my skin was little red bumps every where and redness as a whole. Here are some pics of my skin now ^^^ (you can check my previous posts to see how it has progressed) The products I changed up: - I used to cleanse my face with Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser and I switched it up to CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser this cleanser is amazing! And I honestly love how my skin feels afterwards. I’m not exaggerating from the first day I used this and pimples or breakouts significantly reduced the next morning. - I still use the same eye cream Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream sometimes switch it up with The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I like both of these products but I haven’t seen a significant difference with my dark circles from either. -I moisturize with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion at night. And in the morning I moisturize with Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisture I’m still on the lookout for an spf product I can use on my face every morning. I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week for 10 mins. I also use a green tea mask every nw and then. I hope you guys enjoy my updates and if you have any questions/tips/concerns please leave them in the comments! ❤️🤩

Review my routine!
Hi everyone! Still fairly new to skincare so my routine definitely still has room for improvement. I have combo skin where I can get a bit oily in the T-zone but dry around my nose, mouth, and eyes. So far this routine is working pretty well for me but I don’t feel like I am getting enough moisture. Also if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! CleanserOLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser okay I love this cleanser! It’s so gentle and I don’t feel like it strips my skin. Exfoliating cleanser THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Microdermabrasion I use this once or twice a week and it’s okay. I prefer the philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash but it’s not cruelty free and it’s fairly expensive. SerumThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is AMAZING it helped clear up my skin in about a week. Eye creams:THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream I don’t really see results from this one. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I got this as a sample and I feel like it’s nice and moisturizing under my eyes, I don’t see dramatic results though. Moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic I recently started using this and I can definitely see an improvement, my only complaint is it doesn’t smell great. Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Day Cream While I don’t use this anymore I do still love it and use it for if I go overkill irritating my skin. Acne alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch These work well and are so affordable! Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment One of the few spot treatments that actually works on me.

AM and PM affordable barrier repair routine
So I had a recent wake up call; sunscreen isn’t supposed to tingle when you put it on and serums shouldn’t just sit on top of your skin. Who knew?! Both of these reactions were clear signs that my moisture barrier had suffered. I pared back my routine to these five products. I’m planning on sticking to this routine until my barrier is appropriately healed or at least for the next two weeks. First part of my AM routine is to wash my HANDS then splash my face with cool water, just to help myself perk up and to remove any sleep acquired gunk. Next comes The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Which I’ve been using for about ten months and is really beneficial for my oily skin and prominent pores. I like to give this a good three minutes, give or take, to absorb. Although this is an active ingredient it is also an antioxidant meaning it’s really nutritious for the skin, and can be applied twice a day. (If you’re sensitive to zinc this product might break you out) Before applying a pea+ sized amount of The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I dab a bit of water on my face. I find that applying this to slightly damp skin makes all the difference. It delivers that hydration deep into my skin. When attempting to repair your barrier frying hydration into different layers of your skin is so important. The final part of my morning routine is Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 This is one of my favorite SPF’s. I find that when I give it a full 15 minutes to absorb it leaves no white cast and as a person with oily skin i was able to reapply this without feeling totally greasy. At the end of the day I cleanse with CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin This is a new addition for me. I wanted a cleanser that could tackle my oil production without stripping my skin and further harming my barrier, and so far this has been a life saver! I definitely notice a difference in my t-zone. I moisturize with The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA again. And most nights I butter myself up with CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream before tucking myself in. I love that this contains ceramides and a low dose of niacinamide. I’d like to find something with a better slip and that sinks in quicker as well. Overall it’s a great night cream though. All of these products are under 20 dollars and they’re all tailored towards repairing your skins barrier and adding extra nutrients!

Morning Skin Care Routine🌞✨
Here is my morning skin care routine for hormonal acne! I start off with the CeraVe foaming facial cleanser. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I love this product because it is gentle and non stripping so your skin is not dry or tight after use. Then I go in with the ordinary niacinamide. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I can’t say enough good things about this product. It really helps with breakouts and is good for almost any skin type. Next step is the ordinary Azelaic Acid suspension. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% This product helps to brighten dark spots I have left behind by acne. The application is very smooth and not irritating at all. I use a little less than a pea size. Finally, I go in with the equate daily facial moisturizer which is just a cetaphil dupe. This is the generic Walmart brand and I’m sure other drugstores have their generic brand of this as well. This moisturizer is lightweight, non comedogenic and contains SPF so it is a great choice to start your day. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer I try to keep my morning routine very basic. Night time is when I will go in with harsher acids. I will post my night time routine later today! 🌛💫

Review my AM routine for acne-prone skin
My current AM routine consists of a mix of products I’ve used for a long time and products I recently started using. I’m noticing improvements with the addition of the new products already, and it’s only been 4-5 days. Here’s the breakdown on each product: Cleanser: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser In a previous post I had rated this cleanser a 5/5; however, I recently learned that this product contains several ingredients that are irritants, allergens, hormone disrupters and/or carcinogens. This has knocked my rating down. I have not experienced any negative effects using this cleanser in the past and I have been using it for over 1 year. I am considering looking for an alternative product after what I found in my research. Toner: VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW I recently started using this product and I am happy with the results so far. I am on day 5 currently and I feel like I am seeing brighter skin. I am skeptical of toners and this is the first one I have used in years. So far, so good! Acne treatment: #CVS Health - Targeted acne spot treatment 2.5 % benzoyl peroxide acne medication[products]#[FiveStars] this is a generic version of a product I’ve posted about previously. It’s perfect for spot treatment or all over use in acne-prone areas due to the lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide. This product was recommended by my current dermatologist to treat my acne. It works just as well as the name brand and is less expensive. Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I am loving this serum so far! I’m on day 4 and I am noticing improvements in oil production and the appearance of my pores and acne marks already. It can feel a smidge sticky going on but otherwise I have zero complaints with this product! Eye Cream: OLAY - Total Effects Anti-Aging Eye Treatment Eye Transforming Cream I really like this eye cream. I feel like it always brightens up my under eye area and I have relatively few wrinkles and puffiness in the area thanks to this cream. My only complaint is that I wish it was cheaper. Moisturizer: Cetaphil - Facial Hydrating Lotion This is another product that I had rated higher in a previous post. I have been using this moisturizer for over a year and was disappointed when I found out that it contains ingredients that are allergens, irritants and/or hormone disrupters. I’ve never experienced negative effects with this product;however, I’m now considering looking for an affordable alternative. Otherwise, I have always loved this light yet ultra hydrating lotion. Lip moisturizer: Aquaphor - Lip Repair, Stick, Immediate Relief, Fragrance Free, 1 Stick I love aquaphor! It’s been keeping my lips smooth and moisturized for years. I recently switched from using the ointment to the lip stick and I’m loving it so far. Both work great at keeping my lips hydrated!
