My Simple Contour & Highlight Routine

My Simple Contour & Highlight Routine

Here’s my guide to my everyday, wearable contour and highlight routine & what products I use! 1. After applying your favourite foundation take a cream contour stick and apply it to the perimeter of your face in a “3” shape (forehead, hallows of cheeks, and jaw). I also love to contour my nose a little bit to slim it out and shorten it. My favourite contour stick is the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Medium Stick. Its super easy to blend and the shade is perfect for my skin tone. KYLIE COSMETICS - Bronze Medium Bronzer Stick
2. After blending your contour, take a concealer that is about 3 shades lighter than your foundation. Apply it to the areas you’d like to highlight. For me thats under my eyes, temples, tip of my nose, chin, and centre of my forehead. Then blend! This is what really snatches your face! I like the Rare Beauty Concealer shade 170W, its super light weight and extremely brightening. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer
3. Next I like to set the areas that I highlighted with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder in the shade light. This powder is MAGIC! It’s so fine and blurs out fine lines, brightens, and smooths the skin. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder
4. Set the rest of your face with translucent powder, I like the Kylie Cosmetics Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This is going to lock your makeup in place! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Loose Setting Powder
5. I like to go over top the contoured areas with a bronzer to further enhance the contour. My favourite bronzer is the Il Makiage Waka Waka Baked Bronzer. This is the most beautiful, pigmented bronzer I’ve ever used, a little goes a long way! IL MAKIAGE - Mineral Baked Bronzer
6. Now for blush, this is a crucial step in my routine, and surprisingly a big step in any contour routine. Blush adds a little colour back to your face and gives a beautiful healthy look to the skin. The placement of your blush is very important and helps shape your face. I like to place my blush mainly above the contour and drag it out to the apple of my cheeks as well. My favourite blush is the Kylie Cosmetics Pink Dreams Blush. I love a super bright pink cheek! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Blush
7. Lastly, you can highlight your cheekbones with a glowy highlighter, although I’m not a huge fan of highlighter (I know— weird!!) I prefer a matte face. I only highlight the tip and bridge of my nose to make my nose look more pinched. I use the shade “Boli” from the Carlie Bybel x Anastasia Palette. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette
And voila! Your face is snatched!

🤪Glowy natural makeup when I’m late😌 (~10min)
SKIN TYPE: Very dry skin, eczema, sensitive and acne-prone all at the same time🙃🙃 Sometimes using prescribed cortisteroid ointments (Novasone) for eczema flare ups or reactions. PRODUCTS USED (in order): Primer I use e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer , it’s so cheap but acts as a nice bond/barrier between skin after skincare routine and applying makeup; it’s so good in preventing drying out my skin but it’s not very hygienic as fluff or dust gets stuck. Usually patting the primer into the skin and waiting a moment for it to melt into the skin. Foundation is a cushion #CHANEL - Vitalumiére Glow[products]#[FourStars] (#21), gives a shine upon application while still looking like natural skin. It’s a light to medium coverage and I find it doesn’t cling to my dry patches. I don’t use concealer most of the time but I do use the powder Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder to set under the eyes, smile lines, nose contour area, chin and forehead. I don’t produce much oil through the day at all but I do sweat and the powder helps set makeup while still looking natural and doesn’t take away the glow too much. For the price though, there might be better cheaper alternatives🥺. Brows I usually use the innisfree - Auto Eyebrow Pencil or the ETUDE - Tint My Brows Gel New +benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel, the tint can last ~2-3 days so it saves time if I’ve already filled in and drawn my brows the night before😂. The only con is that on initial application the tint looks green-ish in the camera. #NARS - Original blush - Orgasm[products]#[FourStars] for the slight golden shimmer enhancing the glow of the cushion foundation, usually building it up for a slightly brighter flush of colour on the cheeks as the colour doesn’t show too much when you first apply it. Highlight usually the FENTY mini Kilowatt highlight in the shade Hustla Baby, it’s a golden sheen that really blends in with my skin tone and not too glittery while also blends in with the NARS blush. If I’m feeling extra then also lightly adding in the FENTY mini Diamond Bomb highlight. Eyeliner is the brownUZ - Eye Opening Liner Usually use various lengthening falsies or innisfree - Skinny Microcara Last but most crucial thing for me is the URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray , it really pulls the whole look together, adding back some shine where I’ve powdered thus making the whole look more natural. Also with the spray I don’t have to worry about the makeup transferring or fading/melting away during the day unless 8+ hours. Lip products include: CHANEL - Rouge Coco Flash Lipstick(#212) #CHANEL - Rouge Allure Laque[products]# romand - Glasting Water Tint 6 Colors FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer FENTY BEAUTY - Diamond Bomb Baby Mini Lip Gloss and Highlighter Set

Acne Cover up Pro Tip
My go to makeup tip is for when I get acne. I like putting concealer on the pimple and blending out with my finger then applying foundation then another concealer layer then add powder to lock it in. I start with the CATRICE COSMETICS - Liquid Camouflage Concealer then go in with any foundation followed by FLOWER - Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer my holy grail concealer then I go with Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder to set! It camouflages the pimple and redness all day!

Favorite Eyeshadow Palette
When this eyeshadow palette was first announced, I WANTED it. I've been a huge Bybel supporter since day one, and honestly these shades are beautiful. I ended up purchasing it this palette early this year for only $22.50! This palette is normally around $45. I'm not a pro with eyeshadow, but everytime I use this palette, I love how my eyes look! This palette includes perfect everyday shades whether you're into warm, neutral or cool shades. But it also has interesting pops of color. Although this palette is beautiful, it's not perfect. The shades Jode(Shimmery teal) and OA(duo chrome blue and purple) are soo similar, so it's kind of a waste of product (In my opinion). The Shade Boie (matte ash brown) is also hard to blend out and a little patchy. Here are some of my favorite shades of the palette and how I use them: -Mandala (Metallic/Duo chrome light purple) This shade is beautiful on the lid for a soft pop of color! -Bybel (Matte redish-purple brown) all over the eye or crease -Bear (Matte Beige) inner corner -Moo (Metallic light gold) GORGEOUS face highlighter, inner corner or lid shade -Chai (Matte light brown) perfect to wear everyday all over the eye or crease -Cindy (Bright Orange pressed pigment) blush! This palette is still available on the ABH website gor $31.50! ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette

WEAR A MASK BUT MAKE IT FASHION😉😛
who said wearing a mask nowadays had to be boring?! Not me for sure! I love playing up my eyes! 🤩 whether that’s with a inner corner highlight, a big bold liner or even a fun eye look like this! So for this look, it looks very complicated but it’s super simple and easy! 🥰 when it comes to shadows, all you have to ensure is there is a lot of blending and that’s it! Otherwise once you add the shimmery lid shade, it all comes together really well so let’s go through it 😊 FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer I always use a bronzer as my crease shade to start off any look, especially one with colours to help blend other shadows HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette so far this palette is gorgeous and I took multiple shades from this palette to create this look! I used the shades karma and utopia on my crease and they are wildly pigmented🙈 I then added some of the shade Libra (lavender) on my lid as a matter shade before adding in shimmer. For the lid colour I used cosmic with a dense brush to pack a punch and a little of the shade off balance to add some depth into the crease NYX - Epic Ink Liner created a very think link super close to my lash line and used the shade vortex from the huda palette on an angled brush to smoke out the liner! This worked perfectly with the eye since the eye was a lavender purple toned and vortex is a deep rich purple (close to black) ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette this is the final palette I used in this look and I used the shade mandala all over the lid as well to enhance the purples, the shade Bybel through the crease and smudged the shade boie on my lower lash line & shade boli for my inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight essence - Extreme Lasting Eye Pencil and used a shimmery purple shade on my bottom waterline to tie in more purple MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect my favourite mascara to tie in the look all together and that’s it!! This look is super simple and honestly it’s all in the blending of all the soft shades in the crease 🤗 also I’m still trying to figure out how to keep my makeup off my mask so maybe I’ll come back with more tips and tricks regarding that #cheriepartner

How to Make Your Beauty Bones Pop in One Minute?
How to Make Your Beauty Bones Pop in One Minute?
Clavicles (aka your collarbones) are sometimes referred to as beauty bones for a reason - the more defined those lines are, the more “lifted” and dancer-like you’ll look! Collarbone contouring is not something I do every day, but it’s no longer a trick exclusively for red carpet events either. Since it’s the season of exposed collarbones, I like to pull out this trick when I’m in an off-shoulder dress or spaghetti strap top, ready for parties and drinks.   You may not have tried it, but collarbone contouring is actually pretty easy. Essentially only two things are required: a bronzer and a highlighter - nothing different from what you use for contouring your face. I use MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder #Dark as an alternative to bronzer. It’s a slow-baked powder that has a super fine texture. This colour I use is two to three shades darker than my skin tone and has low-level pearlized pigments, so it adds dimension to my collarbone area in a very natural way. I also like how it works on foundation-less skin: it blurs pores, fine lines and sunspot effortlessly! For highlighter I use the MAC - Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter#Double Gleam. It’s a liquid powder highlighter with prismatic reflections. With just a smidgen of it, I find my skin shine with a soft, luminous glow. With the right products, contouring per se is easy. First draw some dark lines along the outline of your collarbones using the bronzer; then sweep some highlighter on top. Use a fluffy brush to blend well - you’re all set! Make sure to buff those harsh lines away, because we want a dimensional yet natural look. Now, change into your favourite low-cut dress and turn some heads with your sexy beauty bones!

Guys, I cannot express how much I love doing red hair. Hands down, it’s my favorite color to make. I WISH I could pull off a brilliant copper red...sadly..I’m too pink for that. Hope has extremely thick hair with a LOT of body and we live in the South. It’s too hot for that! So, we always shave it down in an undercut with a longer top, so that she has the flexibility to wear it straight or wavy. The result is this edgy but feminine textured cut that brings out her eyes and personality. For a little added pop, I foiled in a few highlights before applying her color. By using a 20 volume developer it helps lift her natural hair so that it can become a brighter red tone. Formula: Lightener = BlondMe 9+ with 7 volume developer Color = Goldwell Topchic 7KG + 20 volume + Yellow, Red, and Orange Goldwell Pure Pigment drops Toner = Goldwell Elumen KK@all
