COFFEE INFUSED ☕️ EYE SERUMS
Have you tried a coffee infused eye serum? This eye serum is from a brand called G.M.K also known as Good Morning Kiss. GMK is a all natural brand. They only use certified organic, therapeutic grade essential oils. I also love that they are ethical and all their ingredients come from ethical suppliers — environmentally, socially and economically responsible. Another thing that for sure caught my attention is that they are convenient. All their product kits include everything you would need for an at-home facial. Products are numbered to show order of use and steps are easy to follow! ••• This eye serum is supposed to be “step 6” in your skincare routine. If your doing a long one, your skincare routine should include cleanser, scrub, mask, toner, face serum, eye serum, then spot treatment (if needed). That’s basically a basic routine — scrub and mask are normally done 2-3x a week. ••• Anyways, this is one of the eye serums I’ve been loving a lot this 2019. This serum has lasted me a long time and it’s very hydrating! I love using this in the morning to help me wake up more as it is coffee infused but of course I end up using it at night at times as well ❤️ I love that this eye serum only has 2 ingredients and that is almond oil and organic coffee beans. This is also best to use to combat under eye puffiness (it honestly works!) ——————————————— I just recently found out that eye serums are designed to penetrate deeper and contain more nutrients than cream. So if you have dark circles and heavy bags under they eyes, it’s best to use serums that creams. Also it is always good to start eye care before the age of thirty to help prevent the damage from becoming too extent. : For $15 (10ml), this eye serum from GMK is definitely a good one especially to help with dark circles. I’ve noticed that ever since I started using it, my dark circles slowly lightened and it’s barely there. As for the texture, it’s a very light watery texture that definitely feels like the skin can easily absorb. I highly recommend & rate it 5/5 ⭐️
Don’t waste your money
I thought this product was supposed to reduce the lines and bags under your eyes - not enhance them? For starters this product comes out in such a thick consistency. My olay retinol cream doesn’t even have that thick of a consistency and that’s a night cream! It’s a thick white/beige cream that you’re supposed to “dab” into your under eye. However if you just simply dab - it doesn’t dry. I’ve applied this and for 30-45 minutes it doesn’t settle. God forbid I try to put make up over this I would have such creases where my concealer is. Also - I do not have sensitive skin BUT IF YOU DO -DO NOT USE. I have pretty good skin, but even for me it causes major red eye, and a reaction around my under eye which hasn’t been pleasant. I’m tearing up constantly and it burns. Clearly NOT the reaction you want when you’re trying to make yourself feel your best. This was at night time mind you. The one positive - You don’t need a lot. I used a sample size and I have gotten 6 uses out of it. So amount wasn’t the issue. For $50 I would absolutely not purchase this. I’ve had such better results with my drug store brand eye cream than this high end brand. It’s thick - too thick in fact . Takes awhile to settle and looks crappy under make up. All in all - for kiehls I expected better. Kiehl's - Powerful-Strength Dark Circle Reducing Vitamin C Eye Serum

High Frequency Is Here!
My high frequency facial wand is my new favorite skincare tool that I have recently purchased! I have always had it used on my skin when I have gone to get my monthly facials and I never really could notice if it did much or not since I was just getting it done once or twice a month. I currently live in Los Angeles and one of the facials that I got was at Glow Skincare. The facial was nice, but something that I really liked about Glow Skincare was that they put up an amazon list of skincare items that they use for their treatment rooms on their website. So, when I was looking through their amazon list, I found two different high frequency wands that I could purchase from amazon! I have had my wand for about a week or two now and I absolutely love it and I am so happy with the purchase. I purchased the Pure Daily Care NuDerma Machine and it is beneficial for acne treatment, skin tightening, wrinkle reducing, dark circles, puffy eyes, and hair follicles. What I have recently been focusing on with using the machine is using it as an acne treatment as well as for my hair. I really like how this machine works on cystic acne. I recently was on my menstrual cycle and had a few cystic pimples and with using this machine on it for a few mins for a few days they just kept decreasing in size and eventually went away. I love using this machine for cystic pimples because before I used to try and pick at them and it would just end up being a terrible scar and I would end up being embarrassed of what it looked like after picking at it so much. This high frequency is a lifesaver for whatever cystic acne that may occur. With using the attachable hair follicle piece, I have noticed that my hairline is really benefiting from it and it is really waking up my baby hairs to get moving! I have noticed in just a week or two that my baby hairs are gaining some motivation to grow. With high frequency there are two different types of electrodes. There is orange and violet. The violet is argon gas and the orange is neon gas. Traditionally, the violet argon gas is to help acne prone skin, and then the orange neon gas is more to help with anti-aging. Personally, the machine that I purchased from amazon only came with the orange neon gas. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to purchase it because my main focus was for it to help me with any acne problems that may occur. But I am so glad that I purchased, the orange neon gas works perfectly fine on acne as well! I tend to have very mild breakouts, so I am not sure if the orange would work on someone just as well that has severe acne, but the same brand I ordered does have a machine that comes with both violet and orange, it is just a little more spendy. If you are looking for a skincare tool to kill bacteria and zap your zits away at a quick rate I would definitely recommend getting a high frequency machine and it has so many other benefits as well :-) - CC

I’d rather get coal than hydrogel eye patches...
Product Function: Hydrogel eye patches, as a whole, claim to help depuff and brighten the area under your eyes. The EVERYDAZE Gold Charcoal Hydrogel Eye Patches claim to do the same thing, but are also marketed towards those looking to tighten and lift the skin around the eyes. They are to be used as an undereye mask for 20 minutes. Product Target Concerns: Claims to help target undereye wrinkles, puffiness, and darkness. Suited for all skin types. Texture/Consistency: gel eye patches drenched in gooey, viscous serum. Overall Thoughts & Opinions: I don’t like hydrogel eye patches in general and these are no exception. They move around too much for you to use them and the fit is uncomfortable on the eyes. I’ve also noticed that I break out around my cheeks where the patches have come into contact with my skin. I was sent them from Sophie’s Beauty Box and wouldn’t repurchase these myself. These won’t live up to the claims of depuffing, tightening, or lifting. They might feel nice under the eyes, but as far as actual skincare benefits go, I promise you that they’ll be minimal. Would I recommend? Nope. $28 for 60 patches is too steep for the minimal results that you’ll get. Not worth your time or effort.
the roller wars 🌚
jade rollers and rose quartz rollers have recently made a big hit in the skincare industry, but which once is better for you? surprisingly they aren’t the same, both have special effects specialized to themselves. the jade roller 💚 - moderately smooth - reduces puffiness and wrinkles - relaxes nervous system - balances energy - relives toxics from the skin - tightens and reduces pore size - improves elasticity in skin SKIN GYM - Jade Facial Roller the rose quartz roller 💖 - tool is ultra smooth - strengthen circulatory system - brings oxygen to skin - reduces tension - removes puffiness - lymphatic drainage - tightens and reduces pore size - eliminates toxins SKIN GYM - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller in conclusion, both these rollers do share many factors to help make your skin softer and better. either would truly work for your skin, but one might work slightly better.

Lilfox Miami Kalahari Brightening Eye Serum
*product not listed in catalogue Another product discovered through a Beauty Heroes monthly box. I’m personally so avoidant of eye products, serums, creams, gels, as I’m extremely prone to milia and would understandably like to avoid that at all costs. So I approached this eye product with apprehension, used once every 3 nights for a couple weeks, then increased frequency until I reached a nightly basis. This “serum” is an oily texture, I usually associate serums with products that are thinner and sink in and oils are oils but being a very thin oil, I’ll accept it as a serum category and move on. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave the eye area feeling too greasy, that being said, idk if I’d ever recommend using it during the day (idk how it interacts with concealer under the eyes because I don’t conceal my dark circles) I love and hate the delivery system. The rollerball feels great but I can’t tell if that’s a surefire way to contaminate the rest of your product, so I’m pretty meh on that. Honestly I didn’t see much of anything happen when I used this product. I don’t feel like it brightened my under eye area or make it appear more firm or lifted or anything. It didn’t give me milia and for that I commend it. There isn’t much more to say about that. It’s $68 for 10 ml and didn’t do anything for me. For that I can’t recommend it for anything more than moisturization purposes and even then I’m sure you could find that in a much less expensive product. You’d really have to love the brand or ingredients list to pick this up. 2/5 stars - amazing ingredients, love the brand, iffy on the rollerball, didn’t do anything.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
