INTERVIEW MAKEUP + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB💼✨

HOW I DID MY MAKEUP FOR INTERVIEWS + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB I have been on the search for a new job for sometime now. I am a fairly recent graduate with little experience and plus being in a global pandemic it has been challenging to find the right fit. Throughout my research on how to look presentable during interviews, here are some tips I gathered that helped me get multiple job offers.  Less is more:  •Makeup: Now I am not a fan of this saying because I love being extra with contour, and big lashes, etc. but when you are doing makeup for an interview less is more. The interviewer’s main focus is going to be listening to what you can bring to their company. If they are distracted by glittery eyes or a bright pink lip they might not be fully listening to what you have to offer. I would recommend to stick to a more “conservative” look with a clean makeup base, minimal eye makeup and possibly a lip color that you feel comfortable in.  •Hair: When choosing the right hairstyle for an interview, you still want to keep in mind that your face will be the main focus. With that being said, you do not want to take away from what you are saying by any hair distractions. It would be best to keep your hair pulled back and out of the way so it does not cause any interferences. (Especially if you play with your hair, that could be a big distraction away from what you are saying.) If wearing your hair down or a bright lip color makes you feel confident then I would go for it. Ultimately you want to be comfortable with how you look so that confidence can transfer over well into your interview Dress the part: Companies want to see if you are a good fit by imagining yourself in the role. When you dress the part you are saving them this step. If they can see you professionally as one of their own, it will be easier for them to determine if you are a good fit. I would recommend sticking to basic/neutral colors and solid pieces. Blazers are always a good choice when it comes to layering and they make me feel more professional and confident going into an interview. Again, like mentioned before, wear what you feel most comfortable in.  Check your background: This tip has nothing to do with your actual physical image but I still think it’s important to mention now that a lot of interviews are being conducted over video-call platforms. I recommend choosing a background with MINIMAL clutter and possibly adding greenery into the scene. If none of this is possible, opt for a neutral-solid color background. You can even hang up an ironed white sheet if necessary. Also, make sure there will be minimal noise distractions wherever you are interviewing. If you live with others, make sure you let them know that you will be interviewing so no distractions can occur.  SMILE & relax: Unless you are applying to a job where you do not need to be friendly… SMILE. It looks good to see that you are friendly and confident in the way you carry yourself. Also, it is important to relax and don't let the nerves get the best of you.  • Psych tips:  ◦Even if you mess up, if you are still smiling you can trick the interviewer into thinking you still have yourself composed.  ◦The feeling of excitement and fear are SO closely related that you can turn one of those feelings into the other. When I get very anxious I like to tell myself I’m actually excited and it will help calm my nerves. Makeup used: •foundation:Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation •contour:MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect •blush: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Loose Powder BlushI like this blush because it has a little bit of shimmer in it and acts as a highlighter as well •mascara:Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara •false lashes: (custom) •lips:  MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in ‘subculture'  I hope these tips were helpful and good luck if you are in the interviewing process!

I came across a run down on Cremes Come True blog about drug store dupes of high end products. I’m a lover of beautiful makeup products but I’ve been on a tighter than usual budget recently so decided I’d work my way through each of the dupe products, try them and review them for you guys since drug store products have come so far in the last few years. The products Cremes Come True compared are: PRIMER High End — TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer Drug Store — e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer FOUNDATION High End — Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation Drug Store — MAYBELLINE - Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation CONCEALER High End — tarte - Shape Tape Concealer Drug Store — MAYBELLINE - Super Stay Full Coverage Under-Eye Concealer BLUSH High End — Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color Drug Store — MAYBELLINE - Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush HIGHLIGHTER High End — rms beauty - Luminizer X Quad Drug Store — e.l.f. - Shimmer Palette MASCARA High End — Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara Drug Store — L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara LIPSTICK High End — ARMANI beauty - Lip Magnet Liquid Lipstick Drug Store — L'ORÉAL - Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick Make sure you follow me and keep an eye out for incoming reviews on the e.l.f. 5 products 5 minute makeup look
I never really wear makeup at all but sometimes it’s fun to experiment and feel confident once in a while ! this is really simplified makeup look for natural all day makeup that doesn’t look cakey or anything my go to foundation for years now has been the benefit - Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation SPF 15 and I haven’t really been able to find anything like it! it’s not too full coverage (which is perfect for me), but I think it can definitely be buildable! benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel this is a lifesaver! I have never tried to fill in my brows at all really so this is something that is perfect for me. it makes your eyebrows pop and doesn’t look like much has been done to them at all. I use shade 3.5. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara the wand and application of this mascara is incredible ! it makes my lashes look longer and more full! I also have their waterproof mascara that is amazing. for me, this is better than any benefit mascara I have used. up until mascara I wore mascara EVERY DAY for 3 years straight.... yup.... i know... and this is definitely my fav. NARS - Motu Tane Face Palette I really like this palette because it has al lathe basics you need for bronzer, blush and highlight! everything is really pigmented and it doesn’t take much product to get the result that you want. STILA PALETTE- (unfortunately I couldn’t find this exact one on here). I got this recently so have only used it a couple times but the shades are so beautiful and they range from both neutrals to deeper glam shades. they are really pigmented and there isn’t any fall out. for my eyes in this I used the top middle shade.

DIY TINTED MOISTURIZER 💫
DIY tined moisturizer is one of my oldest tricks in the book! I’ve been doin it for years and it has saved me so much money and counter space because I can use products that I already own. It’s great for days off when I want a little coverage for my face but I want it to be quick, easy and natural. The products I’m using to make my tinted moisturizer are dermalogica - Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 Moisturizer and Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation . How to! 1. Put a pea size amount of both your moisturizer and foundation on the back of your hand 2. Use a small makeup brush or Q-tip to combine together (I would avoid using your finger because of bacteria) 3. I use a foundation brush to apply all over my face and blend in 4. Finish with a setting powder, I love Glossier’s Wowder so that you’re not too shiny 5. You’ve got a little bit of coverage plus spf and you’re good to go!

Second love affair..
The classic Mac, lip liner/pencil. Believe it or not, I've been using Mac's lip liners since the end of highschool! I'm talking 15,17, 18 years! What I do, as a hardcore makeup lover, a smart shopper & to always have what I need, on hand. Buy classic colors. So, one red. One plum. One on the nose side or pink. Most of my lipsticks are either red or plum. All different shades, but one mac plum lip liner, or red etc (at least for me) match every other plum lipstick. So stuck with one main lip liner shade in each category, matching what you wear. I have one red 1 plum/wine and 1 in the softer side I'd consider nudes. And whether I'm wearing covergirl lipstick, or NYX.. I never need to spend even more money to buy yet another lip liner. I've had this problem with other lip liner brands. But at least for myself, I find ma's liner pretty amazing in the fact that they match almost 100% of my lipstick shades. As long as I have one per category of main color. I dont bother buying any pink, as I dont wear pink, I wont and wont waste money.MAC - MAC Lip Pencil

YEAR 3000 HALLOWEEN MAKEUP PT.1👽 #CheriePartner
I have glitter hairspray that I never use so I was thinking of ways to use the glitter for halloween. I came up with this alien/space girl makeup and hair.  Products used: •concealer: JOSIE MARAN - Vibrancy Argan Oil Full Coverage Concealer Fluid •setting powder: laura mercier - Secret Blurring Powder •liquid highlighter: COVER FX - Glitter Drops in mirage (shake before use) •contour: MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect •eyeshadow:aLamar COSMETICS - Reina Del Caribe Eyeshadow Palette •liquid eyeshadow: stila - stila Liquid Eyeshadow Set •mascara: Charlotte Tilbury - Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes! Mascara •Lip liner: MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in naked •gloss: (I honestly have no idea, the name is rubbed off and it was a gift) but it is clear and sparkly •glitter: from michaels crafts store This makeup was super quick and took under 10 minutes to create: •First i concealed any blemishes with concealer and set with powder so I had a clean base to work with •I applied the liquid highlighter heavily to my cheekbones, inner corer of the eye and to my brow bone. I really wanted the look to be glowy and holographic and this product helped with that.  Shake this product well before use because it can become clumpy. •next I lightly contoured my cheeks because i like my face contoured but you can skip this step •For the eye makeup I applied the blue eyeshadow with a liner brush and created a thick wing. This eyeshadow is supper pigmented and shimmery. It picks up holographic which adds to the alien vibes. I also used this product all over my lid. I stopped the blue at the inner corner of the eye. With the liquid eyeshadow, i dabbed it into my inner corner and blended the two colors together. I applied the blue lightly under my eyes. •I added mascara and curled my lashes. •For my lips, I lined them with the lip liner and applied the shimmery gloss all over. Applying the nude liner helps to create the gloss more pigmented. This lip combo created a very nude but shimmery lip. I wanted to keep the lip neutral since there is so much going on on top of the face.  •lastly, I applied thick sequined glitter on top of my cheekbone to add a dimensional highlight. I adhered the glitter with vaseline and it stuck well.  I choose blue for my look but any color would look good for the space-girl/year 3000 look. I will be posting the hair tutorial to go along with this look soon! #CheriePartner

Makeup with a face mask
Makeup with a face mask
I’m an independent artist with Maskcara Beauty and let me tell you, this makeup is amazing. I tried to go back to my old routine with traditional foundation and didn’t even like the way it looked (and I LOVED my old routine). But Maskcara beauty just looks so much better. It looks flawless and natural and it feels so light on the face. THE BEST PART...I wore this mask all day with my makeup and after taking the mask off, the makeup had stayed on and not moved. Message me if you would like a custom color match. You won’t regret it! Instagram- Bridgette.19

“Subtle” eGirl makeup? 🤔 (she tried)
“Subtle” eGirl makeup? 🤔 (she tried)
If you’re on the internet a lot like myself, chances are you’ve come across someone sporting “eGirl” makeup. What is an eGirl you might be wondering? Well, I’m not pretty sure of what the term really means.. or who would be considered an eGirl? I have so many questions lol but if we’re talking eGirl makeup then I do know the aesthetic is very similar to what emo/punk makeup was in my day, but with an “I’m baby” quality and kinda more glam? This type of makeup is often characterized by the use of soft pinks, purples, heavy winged liner, big wispy lashes, glossy lips and blushed noses ✨ I tried following a tutorial i found on Pinterest, but kind of more subtle to make it something I would personally wear out 🥰 I’ll list what I used below 💜💜 ⭐️ DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation I love lightweight foundations that give me a natural finish but that I can build up in case I want a more medium coverage. This is my absolute favorite!! It’s simply amazing, it’s creamy but not heavy. ⭐️ DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer eGirl always have flawless skin, so I used my favorite concealer on some areas like my under eyes, around my nose and on my chin to cover up some redness. ⭐️ COLOURPOP - Sailor Moon x Pretty Guardian Eyeshadow Palette if you’re able to get your hands on this palette I’d say get it! I think the CP Sailor Moon collection is such a polarizing one but I personally loved it. Aside from the fact that it sells out every time in like 0.3 seconds 🙃 I think it’s such a cute collection. ⭐️ COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush I don’t know if this shade is still available, but Colourpop has such cute blush shades, but also any peachy blush works just fine. ⭐️ BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter a friend gifted me this in the iconic Champagne Pop shade, I love it. So creamy and blinding! ⭐️ Glossier. - Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner solid eyeliner, reminds me of my favorite Japanese brush tip liner. ⭐️ flesh - FLESHY LIPS Sheer Lipstick idk if flesh is even a brand now but I love the formula of this lipstick, it’s balmy and feels hydrating. #CheriePartner

🇺🇸 happy memorial day weekend! 🌊 explaination I’m an active duty service member in the Navy. Balancing femininity with the confines of a uniform can be pretty difficult at times. A lot of people question how much makeup I am allowed to wear and how/when. And I wear a full face! 🌊 so what can you wear? The general guidelines (lot of paraphrasing here) are that makeup must look natural looking, not be faddish, and not use overly bright colors/glitter. Special occasions do call for special looks, but I tend to wear the same products everyday. 🌊 what I do My goal is to make it look like I’m not wearing makeup even though I probably spent 30-40 minutes on my face that morning. I tend to skip eyeshadow to save time, especially with my hooded eyes. feel free to ask any questions! 🌊 My current daily makeup lineup Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Concealer: MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Better Skin Concealer Setting Powder: REVOLUTION - Conceal & Fix Setting Powder Blush: Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Bronzer: Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Brow Pencil ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil Brow Gel benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Setting Spray Urban Decay All Nighter Mascara Too Faced Damn Girl!
