This is my first attempt at nail art. I do not have a steady hand so that doesn’t help but I still like the way they came out. I created a tutorial on how to recreate the look. I will post it later on so I won’t go into to much detail on this post ☺️ Products used: beetles Gel Polish - Poly Gel Kit for Nail #Sexy mix - Poly gel nail kit[products]#[FourStars] L.A. Simple Fall Nails with ONLY 2 Products 🍂🍁🍂
If you’re on the East Coast, then you know the temperature has dropped. With less than a week left before summer officially comes to an end, I think it’s safe to start planning your fall looks. Aka plan those fall outfits and matching nails, boo 💁🏻♀️. To be honest, I am not comfortable going into a nail salon just yet so I’ve been okay with doing my own nails at home! Today I’m going to share with you how to get this simple but CUTE fall nail look using only two products 👏🏼. They’re the Sally Hansen - Miracle Gel in shade 479 - Wine Stock and the Sally Hansen - Miracle Gel 3.0 Shiny Top Coat ! Both have been repurchased many times and in my collection for a good four years! The Wine Stock shade is perfect for the Fall season as it is a stunning dark burgundy shade. I start with clean nails, file nails to desired shape if you would like to, and then begin with one coat of the Nail color. In my picture you can see how one, two, and the final look (with three coats) appears. I like them to be extra dark hence why I go for a third coat of nail polish but two works fine. Once you are happy with your nails, let them set for 10-15 mins before applying the top coat. When I mean this top coat is life changing - I use it with ALL of my nail colors even if they are not Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail colors 😅. The shiny top coat is thick but easy to spread on the nails! One coat of the infamous Step 2 and you’re good to go! Let the nails dry for another 10-15 mins and the you go on and rock your classy nails! Nobody needs to know you didn’t pay $40 for a mani at a nail salon or if they are press on because that’s how good your nails will look afterwards. I get people asking me if my nails are fake or real all the time. Never forget my number one tip - don’t shake your nail polishes, instead roll them between your hands to avoid air bubbles in your final look! 👍🏼 I really hope this nail trick helps with time and money! The nail color retails for $9.59 and the top coat is $7.49. For less than $20 you’re nails can look fly and shiny all fall season long! 🍁🍂🍁 #CheriePartner
2 PRODUCTS FOR LONGER NAILS✨ #CheriePartner
My nails grow quite fast but no matter how long they grow they are constantly breaking. For the past two years I have been using two products to help my nails become healthier so they are able to maintain there long length. The first product I use is Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab $10 This product is formulated with jasmine and rose extract that help hydrate damaged nails. The polish helps hide any imperfections of the nail as it regrowths its self to maximum potential. Aside from all of its capabilities, the color is so beautiful on its own. It is a light pink nude that compliments all skin tones. The second product I use is ADESSE - Nail Care Sweet Almond Cuticle Oil $18 this product contains vitamin E, shea oil, sweet almond and jojoba oils to provide ultra hydration to the cuticles. When the cuticles are dry they are prone to damage like splitting. Keeping the cuticle well moisturizer can stimulate growth in the nails. I love this product because it is not heavy or sticky like other cuticle oils I have tried in the past. After introducing these products into my nail care, I have noticed that my nails can grow longer with less breakage than before.
DIY: At-home Mani!
My nails (pre-COVID) sucked. I had to wear bio-gel nails because of how much they would break. But when things closed, it forced me to change my routine (for the better). To be completely honest, my nails look better now than they ever did before so I might keep my own at-home routine going indefinitely! S T E P S : 1. NAIL SOAK: I finally found a use for all those facial cleansers that my skin simply couldn’t handle! I put a few pumps into a bowl with warm water to soak (and soften) the nails and cuticles. I leave each hand for about 3-5 minutes. NUXE - Rêve De Miel Face and Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel 2. CUTICLE CARE: as a first step I will grab a cuticle pusher (got mine off of amazon for under $7), and push all the cuticle down to expose more nail bed. Then if there is a lot of excess cuticle skin (and some hang nails) I grab my cuticle nipper and gently trim those pieces off. 3. NAIL FILING: I usually won’t cut my nails unless I am losing some serious length (broken nail for example). I instead opt for nail filing with a medium grit (180 grit to be exact). I like to change up my nail shape depending on my mood or colour choice for that week too! Not sure what grit is? Don’t worry, it’s something I had to look up at first before purchasing too 😉 The grit is how course the nail file is. So, for example you will use a much lower grit for acrylic nails, and then increase the number depending on how thick your nails are. For very thin or brittle nails, I would suggest something 240 or higher. 4. OIL: CND - Vinylux Rescue Rxx Treatment I LOVE this product for my nails. I spread it around the nails beds then massage the excess onto the entire nail. I leave it for a few minutes to absorb before continuing. The keratin strengthens, while the jojoba oil in this product is fantastic for moisturizing! In my case I had really, really brittle nails that peeled easily. It didn’t matter what I used, they peeled or even got white spots. Since I began using this, I haven’t had this issue. 5. GROWTH TREATMENT: Nail HQ - Growth Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab I use both of these products interchangeably. I prefer the NAIL HQ, I find that my nails grew noticeably faster when I used this product regularly. The best part about this specific product is I can regularly find it at a Marshall’s for half price (so I don’t feel guilty over using it). 6. MOISTURIZE: THE BODY SHOP - Hemp Hand Protector I worked at The Body Shop when I was in College and honestly got hooked on this hand cream. It’s been my tried and true since 2008! The smell isn’t my fav, but it’s not awful. You also don’t need a lot of it to do the trick! If I recommended one thing to add to your routine it would be the CND RescueRXX, hands down. Nothing short of miraculous! Hope this inspires some DIY! ✌🏼
Fun Summer Gel Polish Art 🌞
I did this summer tie-dye inspired gel nail art and I'm so happy with how it turned out! First off it is sooo easy! All you need are a few colors - I went with mostly light pastels and a pop of bright yellow. Prep your nails for gel polish, I use a base coat and a builder gel to do this. Then I go right in with colors. Dot the colors all around the nail, it's okay if they touch! Then using a small brush, lightly blend the edges together, cure for 60 seconds in a UV light. Then using a milky shade, I used OPI - OPI Gel Nail Polish in Funny Bunny, go over the entire nail. I did two coats of Funny Bunny! This is what will blend it even more and give it that melted tie-dye look. Top with your favorite top coat and your done! It's super quick and easy - plus requires very little effort or skill! If I were to redo this set, I'd only use cream and sheer colors. The #Gelish - Switch on Color Collection[products]#[FiveStars] colors all have gold shimmer throughout which doesn't look great underneath the milky white that I used.

Achieve Glossy Nails with NO POLISH
This 4 Way nail file by Tropical Shine is a great tool if you suffer from dull or bumpy nails. It grooms and buffs the nails leaving a smooth surface and glossy shine. It is a simple 4 step process: 1 - File the Nail 2 - Remove Ridges 3 - Smooth the Surface 4 - Buff for a Super Shine Done! It gives your nails a healthy look without needing to use any clear polish. It is also great in creating a smooth base prior to nail polish application, allowing for a smooth even application. You can pick this up for just a few dollars (I got mine from Amazon), so if you’re interested, give it a try!
Salon ready gel manicure @ home!! 💅🏼
If you go to the nail salons twice a month like me to get your nails pampered and polished, you’ll understand the struggle of keeping your nails looking good in quarantine. At first, I went with regular nail polish (I.e. Essie and OPI) and got frustrated that it wasn’t lasting too long or looking too great. I picked up DASHING DIVA - In the Blush from Target because it claims it wear just like salon gel. The design was cute so I wanted to try it out. It comes with several different designs and a lot of sizes. It’s pretty easy to apply. All you have to do is : Prep your nails by cleaning them with an alcohol pad find the appropriate design/size for your nails and place it so it fits and PUSH down & apply pressure Fold it down and file away using the white side of the nail file so the excess material comes off File down the edges and smooth with the pink side of the nail file Voila! Your salon gel mani is finished. It’s quite fun to mix and match the design. A tip: the more narrow side of the sticker is for the TOP of the nail and the wider side of the nail sticker goes where the nail bed is. Don’t make the mistake I did and place it upside down 😂 The downside of this is the stickers may not fit your nail size exactly (which is understandable) and sometimes it might lift off or be slightly bump if applied wrong. It’s not a replacement for a salon gel mani by any means but it’s good enough for me at the moment!

Pop On & Go
My Absolute Favorite Manicure! When I first tried these at the recommendation of one of my close friends, I loved how they looked but rolled my eyes at “reusable”. The press on nails I had tried from the drugstore were super flimsy and DEFINITELY were not reusable, but these bad boys actually are! They look great, they’re super easy to apply, don’t require any trimming or shaping like cheaper nails, and I can usually get 3-4 wears out of each pair for less than an acrylic set at the salon. They’ll start popping off after about a week and I just file off the old glue and glue it right back on like nothing ever happened. If you’re less rough on your hands than me you could probably do more than 4 wears, but after that I start to get gouges/dents, but I’m really not careful with my nails. It also comes with the glue and and an emery board, so you’re ready to go! #CherieCreator
STATIC NAILS-Toasted Sugar Pop-on Reusable Manicure Set
🍧This polish is #Sally Hansen - Sorbet[products]#[TwoStars] from the Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect line. It retails for about $6 and can be found at any drug-store. I was super excited to try out this line so bought both Sorbet and Air. The packaging is super minimalistic, cute, and sturdy so it drew my attention right away. I was so disappointed when I tried them though. The application process is super smooth since the brush is a large flat brush, making application easy with one swipe. However, this is the most opaque and non-buildable nail polish I have ever seen. 🍧The color is has a pearly peach hue but completely does not match my skin tone so after two coats I stopped. I feel like there is potential in this formula though since it claims to hide ridges and imperfections of the nail and is enhanced with all sorts of good ingredients (ginseng, camelia oil, louts). However, the color and sheerness of the polish are just not for me. 🍧If you want to try this one out, I recommend applying multiple thick layers. I might give it a go again next time but for now, it's not my shade. Will review Air next, might try to make it work more than this one because I really really like the color. read my next review to find out how it turned out! #cheriepartner
