I have been wanting to try these /kit·sch/ - Microfiber Towel Scrunchies
out for so long and finally placed the order for them. They come in multiple different designs to chose from so I’m sure you will be able to find a style that fits your esthetic. The are made of microfiber material and they claim to: 🤍Reduce dry time 🤍Absorb more moisture 🤍Be gentle on the hair 🤍Tame frizz and avoid breakage Why I bought? I bought this as an alternative to using a towel to dry my hair. Towels tend to cause breakage by pulling on the hair. My first impression? I was shocked to see how big the scrunchie is (5.5”). Are the claims true? - Reduce dry time? did not notice any difference compared to a towel - Absorb more moisture? Compared to a regular elastic/scrunchie, definitely! - Gentle on the hair? YES, I was shocked/impressed -Tame frizz/avoid breakage? My hair did not get the usual towel frizz, so that is a good sign. Also, since the scrunchie does not pull on the hair, I did not notice any breakage. Do I recommend? YES! I reccomend because even though it’s performance with drying the hair is so similar to a towel, it’s other benefits mentioned above do not compare to towel-drying my hair. What are your thoughts on the towel scrunchie?💭 🎶: chocolate prod. by lukrembo #CheriePartner

MAINTAINING THICK, KNOTED HAIR AT THE BEACH✨
MAINTAINING THICK, KNOTED HAIR AT THE BEACH✨
Hi everyone! Having thick hair is great because it comes with added volume and allows for endless updo possibilities. With that being said, there are obviously some cons. In the summers by the pool or at the beach I used to struggle with maintaining my hair. The straight strands would knot up when I got out of the water, frizz from the humid weather, and in general, overheat my body. If this sounds relatable, here is a product I always pack in my beach bag that has changed my beach-going experience. GARNIER - Fructis Triple Nutrition Curl Nourish Butter Cream leave-In Treatment is made with coconut oil which is designed to strengthen the hair. The cream also provides frizz control which is great for those extra humid days. This product is advertised for curly hair (which it works well on) but has also helped with my straight hair. I apply a decent amount from the ends of my hair working it up to the top. Next I brush out my hair with a wide-tooth comb (mine is from Target, but you can find one everywhere). This cream has left my thick hair softer, more manageable, and knot-free. At the end, I braid my hair out of the way so it can be maintained off of my body in the heat. What tips do you have for maintaining thick hair in the summer?⬇️⬇️

HOW TO COMB HAIR TO REDUCE HAIR LOSS
HOW TO COMB HAIR TO REDUCE HAIR LOSS
Here’s the thing—some hair loss is totally normal. We all lose anywhere between 50-100 hairs a day and it’s a totally natural part of our scalp’s hair cycle. However, if you think that you’re losing a little too much hair, it’s time to take a look at how you’re treating it. There are a lot of great products for treating hair loss starting at the scalp, but today I’m going to talk about how you treat the lengths of your hair—not the scalp. My hair is medium length, straight and a bit dry—if I’m not careful, I can get my hair quite tangled and if I don’t take care of it properly, I might make a bit more of my hair fall out than I want it to. For me, this means brushing my hair properly to prevent hair fall—I know, it sounds simple but it makes a huge difference. I have three simple rules to follow when I brush my hair to keep it healthy and prevent hair fall. Always detangle hair when dry (and preferably before washing). Your hair is most vulnerable to breaking when it’s wet—because the cuticle is full of water, it’s prone to stretching and snapping the hair instead of combing through. When you detangle and brush your hair before washing it, you avoid the possibility of damaging your hair and accidentally pulling out more. Brush hair from bottom to top when detangling. When you brush your hair from bottom to top, you’re also less likely to cause excess hair fall from improper detangling. When you brush it from bottom to top (holding your hair in between) you don’t put a lot of pressure on the roots of your hair, which can cause hair fall and breakage. Only use a wide-tooth comb to detangle. I was recommended to only use a wide-tooth comb to detangle from the best hairdresser that’s ever cut my hair, and I still follow his advice to this day to prevent hair loss and breakage. If you have super stubborn hair that won’t detangle without breakage, it’s safe to use a wide-tooth comb and a generous amount of conditioner in the shower to get knots out without causing extra hair damage and hair fall. A wide tooth-comb is the best for detangling, then use a regular hair brush to start to style your hair.PATTERN - Wide Tooth Comb[]

Braided bangs and a high pony
Braided bangs and a high pony
So braiding is not my strong suit but I wanted to add a little something to my basic high pony! I def need some practice. Does anyone have tips for braiding hair?? The one thing I have perfected is my high pony! The key is to run pomade through the front of your hair to make it easy to pull back. Also, secure it with two pony tails! Then slick it all back with more pomade :) SheaMoisture - Jojoba Oil & Ucuuba Butter Laydown Lacquer RENE FURTERER - Style Vegetal Styling Wax

before and after from my hair cut and style
before and after from my hair cut and style
This is the before and after from my hair cut and style by nubiarezo. I didn’t get any footage from the cut itself but I wanted to show the transformation ✨••✨ The before clip is my hair with absolutely NO product or styling at all. Nubia is amazing and I definitely recommend any curly girl so see her for your next cut! She was able to tell me exactly where the damage was and showed me a new way to apply product, which I’ll be sharing with you guys!

SUMMER WAVES I’VE BEEN LOVING FOR PARTIES✨
SUMMER WAVES I’VE BEEN LOVING FOR PARTIES✨
My hair is straight and lays flat on my head so for nights out I love to add some texture to it with waves/curls. A new curling wand I have been loving is the CONAIR - Double Ceramic Triple Barrel Waver It creates effortless waves in as little as 15 minutes. How to: To start, I prep my hair with MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment to add some shine and tame down fly-always, and CHI - 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray to protect from heat damage. Next, I work in 1-2 inch sections starting from the back to the front until all the hair is complete. As you can see, I start from the top of the hair piece and work my way down the hair. I hold the wand for about 5 seconds over each section. Lastly, I add drybar - Triple Sec 3-in-1 Finishing Spray Blanc Scent for some extra texture and volume. Have you tried a 3-barrel curling wand yet? I would love to try a wand with larger barrels.

Another way to deal with thin hair
Another way to deal with thin hair
First of all I want to say I almost was about to not post this because literally this is me completely unfiltered and I dunno, I just hate my barely-there eyebrows and grey roots, but this is Cherie- where we celebrate beauty without barriers so 🙌🏼 I thought I’d add a few of my tips to dealing with my thin hair and how to naturally add volume with next to no effort. First of all, after a shower I spray with a detangler. Having thin hair, we want to keep as much of it as we can, so spraying a detangler in will make your hair easier to brush and lead to less fall out. Second- and this is a tip I found out years ago, but not sure how common knowledge it is- but I brush from the root, upwards. This again, helps decrease fallout because if you start from the root, you are prone to more breakage and hair fallout from the tip. Brushing from the ends-up kind of decreases tension when you do finally reach the roots and brush from root to tip. I also only brush my hair after a shower, I never brush during the week, and again, this is all to prevent unnecessary hair loss and breakage because honestly I’m shocked at how much hair I find in my brush every time i brush my hair. Again these are all tips on how to thin hair, through managingAG hair - Moisture Conditioning Mist Detangling Spray breakage 👌🏼
