HEATLESS COCOON CURLS 🦋 👎🏼👍🏼
I recently tested out heatless curls with the sock method and have been wanting to try out more of these styles. I saw that the cocoon method created smaller curls so I wanted to try it out. What your need - brush - Gel: got2b - Göt2b Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel - Damp hair or a water spray To do: - To start you were going to want damp hair if your hair isn’t dance to keep a spray water bottle nearby to keep it damp - Next I brushed out small sections of my hair and twisted the piece. The closer you twist to the root the closer the curls will start at the top of your head - Then I created a loop with the hair around my fingers and twisted the end of the hair all the way up the strand creating a coil. I tucked the end piece into the loop and pulled the coil all the way down to secure the the knot. I repeated all the way around my head and slept with the knots in my hair. - In the morning, I undid all of the coils. I use my fingers to separate out the curls and then apply some gel to hold the curls. Overall I don’t think this is the best method to get curls in your hair because of the loose at the end the girls can look a bit unnatural. I would recommend doing smaller braids to get the same, but better affect. Have you tried this method out yet?

INTERVIEW MAKEUP + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB💼✨
HOW I DID MY MAKEUP FOR INTERVIEWS + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB I have been on the search for a new job for sometime now. I am a fairly recent graduate with little experience and plus being in a global pandemic it has been challenging to find the right fit. Throughout my research on how to look presentable during interviews, here are some tips I gathered that helped me get multiple job offers. Less is more: •Makeup: Now I am not a fan of this saying because I love being extra with contour, and big lashes, etc. but when you are doing makeup for an interview less is more. The interviewer’s main focus is going to be listening to what you can bring to their company. If they are distracted by glittery eyes or a bright pink lip they might not be fully listening to what you have to offer. I would recommend to stick to a more “conservative” look with a clean makeup base, minimal eye makeup and possibly a lip color that you feel comfortable in. •Hair: When choosing the right hairstyle for an interview, you still want to keep in mind that your face will be the main focus. With that being said, you do not want to take away from what you are saying by any hair distractions. It would be best to keep your hair pulled back and out of the way so it does not cause any interferences. (Especially if you play with your hair, that could be a big distraction away from what you are saying.) If wearing your hair down or a bright lip color makes you feel confident then I would go for it. Ultimately you want to be comfortable with how you look so that confidence can transfer over well into your interview Dress the part: Companies want to see if you are a good fit by imagining yourself in the role. When you dress the part you are saving them this step. If they can see you professionally as one of their own, it will be easier for them to determine if you are a good fit. I would recommend sticking to basic/neutral colors and solid pieces. Blazers are always a good choice when it comes to layering and they make me feel more professional and confident going into an interview. Again, like mentioned before, wear what you feel most comfortable in. Check your background: This tip has nothing to do with your actual physical image but I still think it’s important to mention now that a lot of interviews are being conducted over video-call platforms. I recommend choosing a background with MINIMAL clutter and possibly adding greenery into the scene. If none of this is possible, opt for a neutral-solid color background. You can even hang up an ironed white sheet if necessary. Also, make sure there will be minimal noise distractions wherever you are interviewing. If you live with others, make sure you let them know that you will be interviewing so no distractions can occur. SMILE & relax: Unless you are applying to a job where you do not need to be friendly… SMILE. It looks good to see that you are friendly and confident in the way you carry yourself. Also, it is important to relax and don't let the nerves get the best of you. • Psych tips: ◦Even if you mess up, if you are still smiling you can trick the interviewer into thinking you still have yourself composed. ◦The feeling of excitement and fear are SO closely related that you can turn one of those feelings into the other. When I get very anxious I like to tell myself I’m actually excited and it will help calm my nerves. Makeup used: •foundation:Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation •contour:MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan •blush: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Loose Powder BlushI like this blush because it has a little bit of shimmer in it and acts as a highlighter as well •mascara:Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara •false lashes: (custom) •lips: MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in ‘subculture' I hope these tips were helpful and good luck if you are in the interviewing process!

MY HAIR COLOR JOURNEY✨
For starters my natural hair color is closest to the 5th picture shown. I first started dying my hair around eight or ninth grade. The first thing I ever did to it was die the bottom half of my hair jet black I absolutely loved it because I’ve never done anything with my hair before but the black was so so damaging to my virgin hair. I knew once I started dying my hair I had to keep up with it. From the half died hair, I then turned it into my whole head being dyed black. Ever since then I have been switching back-and-forth between dark black hair dye and bleaching my hair blonde. The process would go something like this... I would die my hair black wait for it to fade then bleach it and then start the process all over again. During this year I really started to see the damaging effects of bleaching and dying my hair. I have seen my once shiny and thick hair become dull, damaged and even starting to thin from the breakage. Recently, I have opted for my more natural color after being every shade. This is easy to keep up with and when my hair grows out it will not matter as much. Some things I would recommend if you plan on switching up your hair color are: if you plan on making a drastic change (3+ levels) go to a professional: all though it will cost more, they are trained in what they do and honestly will save you so much time (and possibly money in the long run.) invest in hair products to protect your color-treated hair: if you have a red undertone or even really dark hair, being a blonde will require more maintenance. Red hair/highlights are so stubborn and will always be there unless you remove the color completely becoming a level 10 blonde. Using products designed for preserving your hair color for longer will allow a little more time in between coloring sessions. don’t expect to go dark to blonde overnight: you hear this all of the time but it’s so true. Especially if the change is not done professionally (and with lots of olaplex) it is highly unlikely to be done in under 1 process. These pictures are in order from lightest to dark, not from oldest to newest. If you have a hair color journey, share your story (and tips) and tag me in the post so I can check it out 🥰

THE GOOD WITCH OF THE SOUTH 👑🌟💗
The inspiration behind this look was obviously the Wizard of Oz. I wanted to do a modern twist to the look and this is what I came up with. Products: •contour/bronzer blushes: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Blush LAURA GELLER - Match Blush-N-Bronzer Duo WANDER BEAUTY - Dusk to Dawn Blush and Highlighter Palette •eyeshadows: HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette Too Faced - Bon Bons Chocolate Shadow Palette •liquid shadow: #L’Oréal - Infallible paint eyeshadow[products]#[FourStars] •glitter shadow: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Extreme Shimmer Shadow Nude Palette •highlighter: benefit - Dandelion Brightening Finishing Face Powder FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter •lipglosses:KKW BEAUTY - Kkw Crème Liquid Lipstick How to: •On a prepped face (foundation, concealer etc.,) I applied a mixture of the three blushes listed above. I applied the darkest shade to “contour" and the the other two shades all over to “bronze” the face. In the movie, Glenda has so much blush on so going overboard on the blush was a nesessity. •For the eyes, I wanted to create a soft pink look. I used light pink matte shadows all over the crease and blended it outwards towards the temples of my face. I then took a flat brush with concealer and cut the crease of my lid. I applied the white liquid shadow in the inner corner of my eyes/lid. Then I applied the pink glitter shadow in the inner lid space of my eyes. •For the under eye area, I applied the matte shadows and blended it out. •To finish the eyes I applied highlighter to the brow bone, and added mascara and false lashes. •For the lips, I applied the lipgloss in the shade ‘kiki' and topped it off with a clear liquid lipgloss •Lastly, I heavily applied highlighter to the high points of my face. For the outfit, I chose something pink and with puffy sleeves as she wears that in the movie. I didn’t want to wear a crown for this look because I wanted to make it wearable so I tied a necklace around my ponytail to recreate a modern take on the tall jeweled crown she wears in the movie. #CheriePartner

WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST 🧙🏼♀️🔮💚
The inspiration behind this look was obviously from the Wizard of Oz. I wanted to recreate this look in a way that didn’t require a full face of green paint and this is what I came up with. Products: •green cream face paint (can get at any halloween store) •green and black eyeshadow ( I used the green/black in MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler The Imagination Palette ) •gold shimmer shadow (I used the gold shadow from HUDA BEAUTY - Rose Gold REMASTERED Eyeshadow Palette ) •black face paint (can get at any halloween store) •lipgloss: BECCA - Glow Gloss Collector's Edition How to: •On a prepped makeup base (foundation, concealer, etc.), I applied a green, cream face to the contours of my face. I extended the product upwards towards my eyes and began to blend the cream onto my eye crease, lid and under eyes. •Once the cream was well blended, I packed on a green shadow over the cream to set the look. I then took a black shadow and used it to deepen up the outer crease area. •To create some dimension in the look, I applied a gold shimmer to the inner corner/eye lid area. •I applied mascara and false lashes and the eyes were complete. •For the lips, I used a black face paint and a lip brush and created a lip liner. I then filled in my lips with the paint. •Next I used a mixture of the green cream face paint and the lipgloss listed above to create a gloss color. This lipgloss has specks of green glitter so I thought it would work perfectly for the look. Lastly, I put on a witch hat and a black outfit to go along with the dark clothes she portrays in the movie. #CheriePartner

Trending skincare: anti-bluelight
My skin type: combo skin with hormonal acne. I also spend a lot of time in front of a computer because all my classes and work are online this semester. I was really excited to try this blueberry booster from BYBI beauty because it’s supposed to protect against the harmful blue lights that come from our computers and other screens! This booster is a thick oil that is yellow and scentless, and it can be mixed in with my morning moisturizer or alone under sunscreen. Honestly, I haven’t seen any significant changes in my skin from using this product everyday. I use it every morning mixed in with my moisturizer especially on days when I know I’ll be on my computer all day, but I haven’t seen any positive changes in my skin. Nor have I seen any negative changes from using it so it definitely is a nice hydrating oil. However, I will caveat that statement that I think this is more of a long term issue - the effects of blue light will likely not show up on our skin for 10-15 years so this is more of a preventative measure I’ve been adding in to my skincare routine. Have you tried any anti-blue light skincare products? #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

So you want shiny, healthy hair? 😎 Let me help
I’m back with another Amazon find, that will change ya life!! 🤑 If you’re like me, your hair is dry, damaged (color or heat) and loves a protein treatment. This is not an exact dupe of Olaplex (literally nothing is, it is a patented formula so beware of anyone claiming to be). However, this replicates some of the benefits that an Olaplex treatment gives you for a fraction of the price. Pros: Affordable Works for every hair type Delivers SHINE honey and hair feels healthier Defines curls, waves after rinsing Cons Small bottle, be conservative with application (maybe 1x a month) If you are protein sensitive this won’t be for you. DIY Microblading? 🤔 🖋
Hey Cherie beauties! I finally got Benefit’s new brow microfilling pen! This has been sold out for the longest time and once I saw it finally available on Sephora, I added to my cart right away. I got my brows microbladed 2 years ago and it’s honestly so life changing! It was worth every penny I spent on it and worth the pain. My brows never looked this good. I was supposed to get an annual touch up this year, but shelter in place hit and my brow artist isn’t taking any appointments and I don’t know when I will get my touch up, but I don’t think it’s any time soon. When Benefit announced this, I was over the moon about it because I can see that my brows are fading a bit. This would be a good product to use until I can get a touch up. I got the shade in dark brown which is the darkest shade and I’m glad I got the it. This may be the dark shade, but I could use a deeper shade. If you’re on a fence which shade to get I would definitely go with the darker shade. This is a subtle change, but makes my brows look fuller. It still looks natural. The applicator is easy to use and you can easily control how subtle or dramatic your brows you want to look. I did a light resistance training sesh last night and this stayed. However, I used a brow gel so I’m not sure if that changes things. My only complaint is it takes some time getting used to so practice makes perfect. Overall I am very happy with this product! It’s such a game changer. You can now get temporary microbladed brows without committing to the actual tattoo. Benefit slayed it again! 😍😍😍 What is your HG brow product? Would you consider getting this? Let me know in the comments down below.

I tried this hyped enzyme cleansing powder
Kanebo cleansing powder has been ranked #1 in Japanese Cosme (skincare and cosmetic ranking) for many years, this profuct named SUISAI enzyme cleansing powder, delicate foam and gentle cleansing of the skin, two yeast ingredients decompose the old keratin and excess sebum, making the skin soft. suisai - Beauty Clear Powder from Japanese brand Kanebo. This is one of my few favorite enzyme washes. The cleansing powder can be used for weekly cleansing, but It's not for everyday use. don’t use it too frequently to avoid thinning of the stratum corneum. It's so refreshing. As an enzyme cleaner, It’s strong enough to eat away at the dullness of your skin and gentle enough not to sting or irritate sensitive skin. It remove dirt from the pores and excess sebum and provide smooth skin. Overall It's doing a deep cleaning but doesn't feel tightening and drying on skin. It can remove blackheads and keratin, improve dull and rough skin, enlarged pores, adult acne, and acne. It is also suitable for dry skin. The skin is smooth and not tight after washing. This can has a total of 32 pieces . Each capsule is individually packaged, and one piece is a one-time quantity and has just the right amount for each use. And It's also super cute. It is much more convenient to use than a cleansing mask. It’s free from fragrance. I used it with a foaming net to create more foam. Each capsule is small in size. If you are on a business trip, it will save more space than you normal face wash. The powder is white. After wetting the face, pour out the cleansing powder. A lot of foam will appear after rubbing with a little water for a few times, and then apply it on the face like washing your face and massage for about 30 seconds, and then wash it off. After washing, it will be slippery and not particularly dry, but there will be a kind of Transparent feeling, great cleaning power. I am a combination dry and I love this powder. It’s drugstore price, but voidable changed my skin condition. Overall a great option for deep cleaning👍

Rhinestone liner !
I constantly get asked how I put on or where I get my rhinestones from. I honestly just use my lash glue to apply it. I use the .KISS - Ever EZ Lash Adhesive You don’t need to use a lot. I order the rhinestones from amazon. I suggest getting the flat back rhinestones. Those are way easier to lay on your skin. I usually apply them with my finger or tweezers. I know that may be difficult for some people. When you order the pearls or rhinestones from amazon they come with a white pencil tool that helps pick up the stone for you. I haven’t had any problems as far and breaking out or any irritation of the eye from using the lash glue either !
