✨MY BLACK FRIDAY MUST HAVES✨

avatar
madihomewood
So... Black Friday has always been a big deal for me. Every year I make a point of staring a note in my phone of everyone I will have to buy for and what I want to surprise them with. I keep this going through the year and whenever I have a good idea I just pop it in my note. (I didn’t come up with this, I stole the idea from my super organized boyfriend) And then every year I buy all my presents for everyone on Black Friday, or whenever the B.F sales start. I love doing this cause I always feel like I get the best price, and I know that everything will arrive before Christmas. Now, it’s best to stick to the list but I can’t help but get caught up and snag a few things for myself. Here’s the deals for me that were simple too good to pass up; Biossance - 30% off site wide! now if you’ve been on my profile you know that their eye cream is a holy grail product for me! I decided to spring for the full size and try something new as well! I grabbed the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream
and the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask, and for only $7 I couldn’t pass on the travel size BIOSSANCE - Eye Rescue Duo. The Laurel and Reed 3 month clean skincare box subscription - 25% off on Cratejoy! I’m absolutely obsessed with this box subscription. If you love clean skincare the products are AMAZING and the value is incredible. It’s all full size products and the brands they work with are killer! I also love that they do a colour theme every month so the boxes are so aesthetically pleasing. These boxes are only $47.95 for a 3 month subscription and have at least $125’s worth of goodies but honestly usually way more... it’s a good deal at the best of time but right now you can get an additional 25% off. Some of the items I’ve received in the past from L&R include; GRAYDON - Face Glow #Ere Perez - Cranberry Lip & Eye Butter[products]# LOLI - Plum Elixir LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract SRANGE BIRD - Inner Clarity Cleanser ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serum PURE ALCHEMY BEAUTY - Turmeric Glow sahajan - Nourish Face Cream Any deals you just couldn’t pass up this Black Friday ?

❄️AM - WINTER ROUTINE❄️
Hey friends, With the first day of Winter (Dec 21st) quickly approaching, I wanted to talk about my morning skincare routine and what I am using right now. We get a lot of snow, and the air can be really dry where I am from so hydration, redness and sun care are my main Winter skincare focuses. The routine is really centred around maximum hydration and creating a protective barrier for the cold dry winds, coupled with having an appropriate amount of UV protection. Although the sun doesn’t feel as hot as in the summer, it’s reflection off the snow is still damaging to the skin. With redness and sun damage being one of my constants skin concerns I always make sure to have added protection on that front. Also, something I think is worth noting - When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is apply sunscreen. I don’t rinse my face or anything, just put on sunscreen straight away. I have a dog that needs to go out early in the morning and want to make sure I am protected, then I usually do a workout with my partner shortly after and then after that I do my AM routine.  Tbh, I cleanse my face in the shower (I use CLARISMA - Cool Ocean Breeze Daily Cleanser). I know everyone says not too but I don’t actually take particularly hot showers plus I think it’s pretty easy to turn the temp down.. So I think it is sort of a weird blanket statement to say that it’s bad for your skin.. like sink tap water can get pretty flippin’ hot too. Then when I get out of the shower, skin still damp, I spray EARTH HARBOR - TIDAL ROSE Crystal Hydration Tonerall over my face followed by EARTH HARBOR - Celestine Hydra-Plumping Peptide Serumall while skin is damp. After that is dry I use a Vitamin C serum to help hyperpigmentation / redness and for added sun protection! I usually use Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumor ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serumfollowed by BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream, not everyone needs to use an eye cream but I have really bad sun damage under my eyes from when I was a kid and I find this product really helps me. Then moisturize with BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Omega Repair Creamand LAST but certainly not least 2 fingers of THANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream! And that’s it! It seems a little extreme, but doing 3 of the steps in and just out of the shower makes it actually a pretty quick routine ☺️ Are you using any of these products ?! What’s a must have in your winter routine ?

THIS OR THAT 🍊
Hey everyone,  I wanted to do a quick this or that with two of my favourite Vitamin C serums! I started incorporating Vit C as a treatment step a few months ago into my AM routine. I’ve been trying to target hyperpigmentation, get rid of my dark spots and signs of sun damage. Plus alongside my daily spf it’s nice to have a little extra UV protection. I knew for a long time that I wanted to get a Vit C serum, but the price can be a little overwhelming. And although I love these both, there are definitely some major differences and hopefully this will help you choose the better option for your skin and preferences! I think the texture is the most noticeable difference between the two serums ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serum is an oil based Vitamin C serum making it a suitable choice for dry and sensitive skin vs. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum is water based gel like serum and is wonderful for sensitive and acne- prone skin. Then the price is the next big difference - Mad Hippie retails for $47 CAD, and One Love will cost you $95. (I got the One Love serum in my September Laurel and Reed box, which was only $49.95! - and is still available on their website, such a steal to get this amazing serum.. Plus you can use MADI15 for an extra 15% off)  Both serums have stable sources of Vitamin C as well as other beneficial ingredients. In the One Love serum you will find what they call their ‘plant powered c complex’ which is a blend of rosehip, baobab, acerola cherry and seabuckthorn to offer a full range of plant based C nutrients. They also add hops extract to encourage a radiant complexion.  The Mad Hippie formula contains Konjac root, Ferulic acid and Vitamin E to offer compounding antioxidant effects, reduce appearance of wrinkles and discolouration and form a thin protective barrier to help soften and smooth skin.  I truly love both of these serums, I’ve been gravitating towards the Mad Hippie serum lately because it is so lightweight, absorbs quickly and is very effective. That being said, with the dry winter months rolling in I will probably switch back to the One Love because I like the richness and hydration from this oil based serum.   If I could only choose one, the Mad Hippie serum is simply more affordable for me and equally as effective - but while you can get the One love for such a good price through Laurel and Reed it’s kind of nice to use the two interchangeably depending on how your skin is feeling. Hope this help if you’ve been trying to target hyperpigmentation but don’t really know where to start when it comes to incorporating a Vitamin C treatment step!

Is the Biossance Eye Duo Worth It?
I really struggle with my under eyes. The shape of my eyes makes them slightly wrinkled and I also have dark circles and they can get pretty puffy if I cry or don’t get enough sleep. They are also EXTREMELY sensitive. Concealer can make them sting and flake, and anything that touches them (facial moisturizer, serum, eye cream, etc.) can make them burn. Because of this it is hard to find an eye cream that doesn’t cause issues and I can’t always skip this step in my routine because I do wear concealer under my eyes and if I don’t take care of them they start to flake and it just looks awful. I found this Biossance trial size eye duo and had to test it out! I do typically think of eye cream as an expensive, glorified moisturizer unless it has active ingredients, but with my sensitivities I am willing to try them out to see if they help my issues. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream Of the two, this one is my favorite. Yes, it is essentially just a moisturizer, but I think that is what under eye skin has been needing because my facial moisturizer wasn’t cutting it. This one doesn’t cause any irritation and, once it sinks in, is good under concealer. BIOSSANCE - BIOSSANCE Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel This eye gel works well for puffiness, but I took one star off because on my sensitive days it can sting my skin a little and it also isn’t quite as hydrating as the other Biossance eye cream. It is a gel, so if hydration isn’t your main concern this would probably be great for you! I really do love both of these eye creams and highly recommend getting the trial duo if possible, but the full size products are so expensive that I just can’t justify repurchasing them for myself. If these are in your budget and your only real concerns are dryness and puffiness, then please get this! But if you are looking for a product that will make a long term difference in preventing/treating wrinkles, darkness, etc. you should try an eye cream that contains retinol. These are my suggestions for retinol eye creams listed from least to most expensive: 1️⃣ THE inkey LIST - Retinol Eye Cream 2️⃣ GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask 3️⃣ FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid If you have tried these products or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!

The Perfect “No-Makeup” Makeup Product
I’m not really one for foundation. I usually use a very light foundation if I do wear some — i.e. The Ordinary’s serum foundation. I’m unfortunately a “face toucher” so I can’t be bothered with face make up very often. I usually slap on concealer and bronzer in terms of face make up. With that being said, I’ve been loving the Graydon products I currently have and when I saw that they had a tinted moisturizer primer I had to try it. I read so many good reviews! GRAYDON - Face Glow For 40 mL this cost $24 CAD. I find I only use a tiny bit so the 40 mLs will last me a while. 🍁(PS it’s on sale. Regularly priced at $46 CAD)🍁 After my skincare I’ll pop this onto my face like I would any normal moisturizer. I use such a small amount and find it blends in beautifully. You can use a sponge or a brush but I’m lazy so I just use my fingers lol. This is perfect for a “no makeup” makeup look. The tint is gorgeous and gives me a healthy glow/complexion. Your skin looks radiant without looking like you’re wearing anything! I think it could work on most skin tones if you also wanted to just apply it as a highlight to your cheek bones or brow bones, or even under makeup as an actual primer. My concealer sits nicely over top of this and doesn’t cake or crease :) And with my bronzer I get a nice sun-kissed glow. I haven’t noticed any break outs, which is always good! 👌🏻 Haha! Why It’s Amazing: + It firms skin and improves elasticity with semi-precious smithsonite +Your skin glows with mineral-rich sustainably sourced mica +It brightens your complexion with ellagic acid rich raspberry seed oil +It minimizes the appearance of dark circles and spots with nutrient rich spirulina +It soothes your skin with aloe vera juice and zinc-rich pumpkin seed oil +It renews your look with skin nurturing sea buckthorn seed oil +It shields your face against the elements with non-nano zinc +It protects your skin from environmental stressors with rich buriti oil 100% recommend ❤️

🌙 CURRENT NIGHTTIME ROUTINE 🌙
My biggest skincare goals right now are focused on texture and hydration. I find it can be challenging to find a routine that is balanced in exfoliants and hydrating/ calming products. I’ve tried to rush my skin into results and it never works, and while I wouldn’t consider this my “holy grail routine” it’s something that’s working for me right now to target specifically texture, without drying out my skin. Here’s what I’m using, and why I love it! 1st cleanse: EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil a heavenly smelling, effective oil cleanser that gently removes any sunscreen, makeup, or gunk from the day. 2nd Cleanse: CLARISMA - Cool Ocean Breeze Daily Cleanser this cleanser has really been the driver in retexuring my skin, the fruit enzymes in this cleanser are gentle exfoliants that didn’t give the dead skin cells on my face a chance! It really brightened and purified my skin. Serum: #Intoxicated Cosmetics - Snail Venom Serum[products]#[FiveStars] I just did a results post of this serum, and was amazed and how effective this serum was! Check out the post, you gotta see it to believe it 😉 Eye Cream: FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry I like this eye cream, nice texture and good brightening results! I’ve enjoyed using this eye cream but will probably go back to BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream when this pot is finished. Treatment: HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum I love this natural retinol alternative! I’ve been nervous to integrate a retinol into my routine so I’ve been happy to use this alternative as a placeholder. Great hydrating and plumping qualities! Moisturizer: SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream love the bouncy gel texture of this cream. I like that it’s a little bit cooling upon application, calms my skin and makes me feel ready to catch some zzZZzzZ’s. If my skins feeling really dry I’ll add 1-2 drops of HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil to my moisturizers, this oil is amazing for hydrating, calming and reducing redness! And of course lip care! I always slather on a nice coating of SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm before bed, smells amazing and gives my lips a nice drink! Helps me wake up with soft, hydrated lips. I also have been rotating these three masks and using each once per week! LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract : For deep hydration, and soothing dermatitis flare ups. HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask : For resurfacing. I only use this for 8-10mins at a time right now to ensure I’m not over exfoliating or over-drying my skin ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores : For pores, T-zone only!

🍯 UH HUH, HONEY 🍯
The cold weather, paired with wearing a mask has been really triggering some dermatitis flare ups around my nose and chin. My face is so itchy and red in those areas, I can’t stop reaching for the soothing calming products in my collection. This LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract , is one I’ve been waiting to bust open and this past week I’m so grateful I have it. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| This super hydrating mask has really help calm down my flare ups and reduced the itchiness, which is super helpful when trying to fall asleep. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| thick cream texture 👃🏻|SCENT| floral raw honey 🍯 💦 |INGREDIENTS SPOTLIGHT| 🍯honey - a super hydrated humectant that revitalizes skin’s texture and relives stressed skin 🍯propolis extract - a powerful tool to fight off acne with its anti-bacterial and anti- inflammatory properties. It also helps soothe, by cooling the temperature of the skin. 💸 |VALUE| 4oz of cream will cost ya $27USD. At first I was kinda meh in the value cause I felt like there was way too much product that you could every use in the 6month to a year shelf life... but now I think I wouldn’t just use this on my face, and some recommended trying it as a hair mask too. So for such a multi faceted products, I think it’s great value for a useful product!

WINTER HYDRATION MAGIC ✨🔮💦
What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda literally means “the science of life” A 5000 year old science developed by the sages of India. It emphasizes mind-body balance and plant-based healing. I just received this face cream from my Laurel & Reed box, one of my favourite clean skincare box subscriptions. It’s a super thick, velvety cream. Its got an earthy spicy scent to it a little bit like chai almost, but I can’t really but my finger on it. This tub goes for $60 CAD, for 50ml and has some amazing natural ingredients including: Triphala - Ayurveda’s Vitamin C powerhouse, boast the most antioxidant rich fruit in the world. and Gotu Kola - A member of the Parsley family, has the ability to stimulate the production of collagen. That being said this product does contain coconut oil, which has a very high comedogenic rating. So if your skin is dry, this is definitely a good option but if you are oily or acne prone I might pass, due to the risk of causing blackheads. This cream is quite thick, so I think it’ll be perfect for Canada’s harsh dry winters and will probably end up using it on my face and overnight on my hands. Because of the coconut oil, I’ll probably put this aside for a little longer since I don’t think it’ll mix well with having to wear a mask all the time, and some of humid days that are keeping my skin a little more oily than I’d like. Have you tried this face cream? Or any other products from Sahajan? Or do you have another Ayurveda science based skincare brand you reccomend? sahajan - Nourish Face Cream

My Skincare Awards 🏆 Moisturizer Edition
Finding a good moisturizer for eczema and milia prone sensitive skin is key! Over the years, my skin type has ranged from oily to dry to combination. Here’s my selection from favourite to least favourite: 1. GRAYDON - The Putty This is a moisturizer that has really come through for me, specifically during the eczema days 👏🏽 Scent: oatmealish Price: $46 CAD/50mL I gave this product a try after receiving for free at work, I found it a little thick for the face at first so I mostly used it on my neck, where I had eczema. With ingredients like zinc, colloidal oatmeal, hemp seed oil, manuka honey, turmeric, it’s meant to be soothing for irritated skin... and it proved to be so, I’m glad it fell into my hands 💝 I really admired what it did for my neck that I started using it on my face too *over damp skin* so it would absorb better, and it kept my face moisturizer and protected during the cold winter. I’ve repurchased this in a FULL SIZE quantity and recommended it to friends ✨ 2. sahajan - Nourish Face Cream This is great for everyday use, under makeup too. Scent: mature lotion Price: $60 CAD/50mL I also got this for free at work and was excited to try it as I really admire the premise behind this Ayurvedic brand. Though after a few months, the cream’s texture goes from silky smooth to a bit hardened with some crunchier bits, once it melts in your palms it makes for a nice application that mattifies the skin. Great before applying makeup or just having fresh, semi-glowing skin. I apply it on over damp skin as well. Although it contains coconut oil, I find that it doesn’t break me out. I’ve definitely recommended this to my friends and will probably be repurchasing this once the winter comes around. 3. wildcraft - Bergamot Rose Face Cream This was one of the first moisturizer I remember investing in once I discovered Hyaluronic acid and needed something for the eczema on my face. Scent: ylang ylang Price: $26 CAD/60mL This is a little more on the greasy side, but at the time I found it quite nourishing for my dry, flakey skin. However, after using it almost daily for a few months is when I started noticing milia starting to form on my face, so I questioned whether this moisturizer was too rich for my skin. I’ve been using it less frequently since just wanting to use it up but also not wanting to chance it anymore, so I might finish it off as a body butter 🥴 I purchased this 3 times, but won’t be repurchasing it again since finding the 2 aforementioned moisturizers that I prefer more! Won’t be recommending this to friends anymore unless they want an affordable option. What’s your favourite moisturizer?!

So I’m excited to start using the LOLI - Plum Elixirto help save my dry chapped lips! The OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil is a total holy grail for me. This hair oil is amazing, it makes my hair so easy to brush, tames frizz, repairs dead ends and shows instant results. Plus, I use this atleast every other day if not more and I’ve barely made a dent in it! And lastly the HERBIVORE - Phoenix Rosehip Anti-Aging Face Oil for Dry Skin, a super hyped herbivore product. The spookiest thing about this little guy is the price point haha, the full size sitting at $115 CAD. I don’t find myself reaching for it as much because of the price and find myself using their emerald facial oil a lot more. HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil

💰💰Money saved!9 Drunk Elephant Skincare Dupes Recommended by Youtuber Cassandra Bankson👍👍!(2)
Hey guys! In my last post, I introduced four Drunk Elephant skincare dupes recommended by Cassandra. This post, I will continue to show you the remaining five best Drunk Elephant dupes that contain similar or identical ingredients as Drunk Elephant products and achieve similar or identical results but with lower prices👇👇. The Original:  DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum$128 The Dupe: #FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum[products]# $88 " FARMACY Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum is not the perfect dupe, but they are similar." said Cassandra. They both have the key ingredient AHA, which is a glycolic acid exfoliating the skin. Also, they have a greatest-hits list of non-abrasive chemical exfoliants: tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids are all in this potent PM cocktail to sweep away dead skin cells and brighten everything up.  The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask$80 The Dupe: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask, $68 Cassandra pointed out that this dupe is a steal of a deal with some of the same great ingredients, like glycerin, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and so on, to exfoliate and renew our skin. Also, they have ingredients like squalane and hyaluronic acid plump and hydrate. The main difference is usage. The BIOSSANCE takes just 10 minutes each time and around 3 times a week while the DE recommends 20minnites and only once a week. The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream$64 The Dupe: PAULA'S CHOICE - Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Firming Eye Cream $14 Vitamin C also gives your eyes a lift, especially when it comes to correcting dark circles... which is precisely the reason why the lightweight-yet-hydrating DRUNK ELEPHANT C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream  is so popular. On the other hand, PAULAS CHOICE Ceramide-enriched Firming Eye Cream pumps up your peepers for more than half the price. This Paula's Choice product also has a lot going for it, as it blends brightening vitamin C with retinol and five ceramides, making it quite the eye cream multitasker. Also, Cassandra pointed out that they have a similar texture as well as feel.  The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum$48 The Dupe: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum$38 B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum contains sodium hyaluronate, a hyaluronic acid derivative, plus skin-brightening pineapple ceramides and vitamin B5 to lock in moisture. Similarly, lightweight and super absorbent, this First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum is a water-based gel packed with hyaluronic acid and soluble collagen for plumpness, plus allantoin, aloe, and colloidal oatmeal to further soothe irritated skin. Like Drunk Elephant, First Aid Beauty's products are 100% vegan, but opting for this same-sized serum will save you ten bucks. The Original:DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream$60  The Dupe: PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer,$35  The key of these products is ceramides. Cassandra recommended PAULAS CHOICE Omega + Complex Moisturizer as Drunk Elephant's dupe.  PAULAS CHOICE  is almost identical – Down to the whipped, cloud-like texture! The velvety moisturizer highlights rich omega fatty acids to strengthen the barrier and fruit extracts to soothe the skin. It is an amazing way to end our nighttime routine! Cassandra personally likes this one WAY better, and it still has the same three ceramides that the DE one has at half the price. While Drunk Elephant is nothing short of a buzzworthy skincare brand, there's no denying that some of our favorite buys can take a lot of coin from that hard-earned paycheck once payday comes knocking. And for this reason, these best Drunk Elephant dupes climbing the ranks of cult-favorite products are worth trying at least once!

Shelfie vs Reality 🪞🤳🤔
Happy Presidents Day!! I was playing around trying to take my first ever shelfie and was struck by two things: 1) styling a shelfie is HARD!!! I am so impressed with the gorgeous, inspirational pictures you all take where a boring medicine cabinet seemingly effortlessly highlights all your best products. I think I have a ways to go. 2) this is soooooo not what my medicine cabinet looks like every day!! I took a step back once the cabinet was full of all my beautiful skincare and just laughed at how far it is from normal. Instead, all my goodies are hidden away in a cabinet. So I restored my shelves to their usual glory to avoid my husbands confusion about where on earth his toothbrush went and thought I’d share our reality. ➡️ swipe to see what the cabinet really looks like around here 🤪 Are there any products in here you want me to review? Let me know!

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer
Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Description: Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer are created to suit the hectic schedules of modern urbanites, this product harnesses the goodness of nature and translates that into freshness and vitality for the skin. Made with premium ingredients sourced from various parts of the world, this 10-second mask is filled with the vitality and freshness from nature to ensure your skin stays healthy and clean everyday. Impression ||| The consistency is thick gels and filled with little pieces of leaves of their featured ingredients respectively. Applied all over my face thinly and let it sit for about 10 to 20 seconds and then lather it into foams, massage my face for a little bit before washing it off. The scents might be a little bit overpowering for some but it doesn't linger. Thoughts ||| As I've got both Rose and Green Tea, I do find these only slightly different as I do felt refreshed, skin became smoother and what I like the most is how well my skincare being absorbed into my skin even though I was just doing 7-Skin method in the morning and sometimes on lazy nights. I don't use these everyday as they can be intense especially for sensitive skin. Mask-to-foam is definitely a first for me and I do think these can be a game changer in anyone's skincare routine. Just don't let it sit on your skin longer than what's recommended. Overall, 4/5. I do like it and will repurchase.

Don't Buy These Facial Cleanser!😣😣😣
Don't Buy These Facial Cleanser!😣😣😣
Two disappointing facial cleanser I've used recently. Omorovicza - Cleansing Foam I had high hopes for this product as it's a luxurious cleanser, and it actually cleanses fine and feels decent. However, its packaging and paste design are just the worst! It's either extremely hard to squeeze out the paste or easy to accidentally squeeze too much out. I couldn't squeeze out the remaining one third of the cleansing foam at all, so I have had to cut the tube, but that makes the paste dry up very easily and it becomes difficult to scoop out. As a luxurious cleanser, this is a really serious problem. belif - Problem Solution Cleansing Foam I really love belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb, but when I was at Sephora, they only had the Belif cleansing foam left, and thinking that it couldn't be any bad, I bought it. What a disappointment! It creates a thin foam that falls apart easily. It claims to cleanse pores, but it actually can't, and it leaves my skin feeling dry after cleansing. It fails even as a morning cleanser, so I definitely don't recommend it.

Here are my first impressions
Here are my first impressions on rookibeauty, a brand made in Japan whose ingredients are based on superfoods 🍃 .❤️ Green Pulp Paste Masque ($46) - I LOVE THIS. This is what the farmacybeauty Bright On Mask was meant to be - a hydrating gel mask that activates into a warming paste when massaged, but free of fragrance/essential oils. The superfoods here are rich in vitamins A,K, and C and linoleic acid. My face felt sooo soft and plump afterwards, that I’ve used it 3 times this week... .❤️ Superfood Savior Cream ($57) - This is a super emollient cream with squalane, hyaluronic acid, and nourishing coenzyme q10. This is so thick and hydrating that I treat this like a mask. .❤️ Honey Matcha Cleansing Drops ($43) - This was the product I was most excited for, but I ended up having mixed feelings. I loved the look of the ingredients - lactic acid, vitamin C, peptides, matcha, honey - but this stung when I rubbed it near my eyes. My face also felt a bit tight afterward, so it might be too harsh for me. .❤️ Overall, I was impressed by the launch - especially the mask - and will definitely be tracking this brand in the future. (They do free shipping worldwide!)

ONE STAR 😕

cocokind - Oil to
ONE STAR 😕 cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser As you might have seen my previous post, I was really excited to try products from the Cocokind bundle. The first thing I tried was their Oil to Milk Cleanser. I love cleansers that feel gentle but work hard. Cleansers shouldn’t feel too stripping but make you feel clean and refreshed afterwards. This Cocokind cleanser may be a bit too gentle and not in a good way. As soon as I rubbed the product onto my skin I began to wonder if the product had all slipped away. As you can see from my video there’s a very slippery and watery texture to it that doesn’t feel like it’s really absorbing into the skin but rather gliding right off. I was confused but I washed off the product with water hoping it had done its job. Afterward I still felt like there was a layer of oil from the product on my face. My face didn’t feel cleansed. I always like to give things the benefit of the doubt so I tried it again at a different occasion and still it didn’t sit well with me. I’m sure there’s others out there that love the product. For me, I really did want to like the product. It seemed promising, but my experience with it wasn’t that great and there are other cleansers that I love and prefer. I’ll stick to those.
