🌙 CURRENT NIGHTTIME ROUTINE 🌙
My biggest skincare goals right now are focused on texture and hydration. I find it can be challenging to find a routine that is balanced in exfoliants and hydrating/ calming products. I’ve tried to rush my skin into results and it never works, and while I wouldn’t consider this my “holy grail routine” it’s something that’s working for me right now to target specifically texture, without drying out my skin. Here’s what I’m using, and why I love it! 1st cleanse: EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil

Clear skin the gentle way?
Thank you @cheriefor this amazing gift 🤩 “buh-koo-chee-all” HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum I’ve already become a diehard Herbivore lover. So to receive this beauty was super exciting. When I started my acne journey on Cherie I was (and still am) a Differin Acne Gel stan. This was my choice of retinol and I wanted it strong to treat acne and boost my cellular turnover. Now that my acne is currently under control and it’s getting hot again, I definitely want something smooth and gentle. Bakuchiol is a gentler alternative to the very popular ingredient retinol. So essentially you’ll get overall youthful results for your skin. I haven’t tested this on my acne theory yet, but overall my face has been smooth and irritation free. This serum does not have a smell which I love for products of this caliber. I also love that it’s light and not drying at all. I use this at night and since i have a tolerance to retinol I use it every night. I haven’t been using it long enough to see results (about 12 weeks) but I definitely can’t wait to finish this. Have you tried Bakuchiol?

HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Blue Tansy—provides antioxidants and soothes/ calms sensitivities, and Kukui Oil—fends off free radicals, balances serums, provides hydration and nourishment. Also contains moisturizing ingredients like plant based squalane, jojoba and vitamin E but if you’re in pinch and can’t spare the $72 (+tax) for 50ml bottle at Sephora. Just use nightly, a couple of drops on cleanse skin (after your toner, essence, serums, and other treatments). Massage in as (recommended on the packaging) in place of your facial moisturizer. Or apply it after your moisturizer. My skin having been loving this great product, my breakouts are less angry and red. And my skin doesn’t feel tight or dried out the morning after. HERBIVORE - Cloud Nine Favorites Collection We all know it’s nearly impossible to pass up a good sale! Sephora has one on now, and I figured it was the best time to treat myself to this set from Herbivore. I haven’t tried any of their products yet, but you guys seem to LOVE what they’re doing, so its about time! The lowdown on what’s inside: ✨ HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser This cleanser is said to remove makeup and impurities while hydrating the skin. Using tremella mushroom, a moisture-retaining powerhouse, soothing rose, and pure squalane, this is meant to be a silky, luxurious cleanse that leaves you feeling clean, without stripping your skin. ✨ HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask This fan favourite mask is gentle on the skin, soothing redness and reducing the appearance of pores. It uses white willow bark (a natural BHA!), fruit enzymes, and blue tansy oil to reduce redness and inflamed acne. I can’t wait to see what the hype is about! ✨ HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Another popular pick, once again including blue tansy, is this beautifully coloured face oil. Additionally, it uses kukui nut and jojoba oil to balance and hydrate, our MVP squalane, and jasmine sambac oil to boost elasticity. ✨ HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum This chemical exfoliant is becoming more popular by the day! A mix of AHAs and BHAs, Prism uses naturally derived chemicals to gently resurface the skin, as well as rosewater to help soothe sensitive spots during the process. ✨ HERBIVORE - Coco Rose Body Polish A delectably-scented body scrub, Coco Rose is highly moisturizing and leaves the skin smelling like a floral, tropical oasis. This scrub has some pink clay mixed in to help detox the skin while you exfoliate and hydrate. After seeing so many of you talk about how in love you are with Herbivore, I’m seriously excited to use these products. The kit was packaged beautifully and really made me feel like I was gifting myself something so luxurious. 💅🏻 Stay tuned to see my in-depth reviews on each of these products! 📝

🍒CHERRY EYE CREAM FOR DARK CIRCLES🍒
What is it:FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry —$45 Brightening vitamin-c eye cream Key ingredients: * Vitamin-c/ peptides/caffeine: smooth appearance of fine lines * Hyaluronic acid/acerola cherry: rejuvenates/reduces appearances of dark circles Color/consistency: This is a very lightweight tinted pink cream/gel How to use: I use a pea sized amount and pat gently all over the eye area daily Results: My dark circles have been seeing some improvement with this cream! I have been using it for about 3 weeks so I am hopeful it will yield better results with continued use. After using this product, my under eyes are hydrated and ready for a flawless makeup application. This product is non irritating and certified clean by Sephora. What were your results with this product?
Is Farmacy Really Farm Fresh?? 🌾
Me: dry-combo, currently acne prone, sensitive or very sensitive For my first dive into Farmacy products, I purchased the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit so that I could try a variety of their bestsellers. Overall, a good tester kit for your money with adequately sized samples! (Much bigger than the Glow Recipe sample sizes.) From favorite to least favorite: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This was my first ever cleansing balm and I fell in love 😍 Your skin feels so smooth and moisturized afterwards. As a dry skin person I often used this as a single cleanse and didn’t notice any breakouts. I knocked off a star because it contains fragrance.... but actually I LOVE the smell... I just worry about my sensitive skin. The next balm I’m trying out is the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This was a nice lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t like the smell quite as much as the balm but it was fine. It did leave a bit of a shiny sticky residue for me but that went away when i added oil on top. Overall, not enough moisture for my skin right now, but I could see myself loving it in the summer! The next lightweight moisturizer I am trying is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I wanted to love this one, and about half the time I loved it, but about half the time I HATED it. When it was good, it made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated, and brightened. When it was bad, it BURNED my skin, horribly at times. I guess it depends on how my skin barrier is doing? Probably not a repurchase since it was so unpredictable on my sensitive skin. I love honey and would love to hear thoughts on other honey masks to try! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry My least favorite of the group, this one was just too sticky for me. I also didnt like the smell... it was almost sour smelling? Idk, just not for me. I’m now trying the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumfor my next vitamin C product. I also now purchased FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry and it is too soon for a full review but right now I am liking it a lot! It is not sticky, and does not have the funny smell of the serum. What do you guys think?? What Farmacy products should I try next? I’m eyeing the FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizeror the FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerand the FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serumand maybe the FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papaya!! Let me know what you think!
Clay Masks for oily and dry skin
Clay masks are great for helping treat blackheads and other irritates in your pores. Here are two options for two different skin types... HONEST - 3-in-1 Detox Mud Mask If you've noticed your skin gets too tight and dry after washing off clay masks, try this one. It has some great moisturizing ingredients that will help it from being too stripping to your skin ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores Great mask if you have oily or normal skin. My boyfriend who has blackheads and has an oily skin type uses this one and has noticed a difference in his blemishes. Charcoal can be an irritating ingredient, but luckily it is low on the ingredient list that it should be ok
⚫️KEEP BLACKHEADS AT BAY⚫️
I’ve been having the hardest time, keeping the blackheads on my nose from multiplying at a rapid rate. I feel like I get them under control and then just wake up and BAM, they’re back... or take my mask off, surprise blackhead partyyyy. It’s driving me crazy, and when it gets out of control like this I have a hard time not reaching for an extractor and going to town. BUT I don’t recommend using an extractor, and think you should try the ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores instead 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I just use this mask on my T-zone, once a week for 10-15 mins, my blackheads aren’t totally gone yet but there is definitely a lot less and they are much less visible. I think salicylic acid would probably be a more effective option, but for now this is working for me and is enough to keep my hands away from the extractor. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| this mask is thinner than most clay masks I’ve used before, it spreads easily and only leaves a thin layer on skin. It goes from black in the bottle to a light grey on application. 👃🏻|SCENT| unscented 💦 |INGREDIENTS| Clay trifecta ( kaolin, bentonite, montmorillonite) - deep cleans, absorbs and draws out sebum and gunk from the skin Bamboo charcoal - draws impurities and dirt from skin and controls oiliness 💸 |VALUE| You can get the 30ml bottle of this for $17 which is what I would recommend! If you are just using it on your t-zone you will get TONS of uses out of 30ml. I have the 15ml and I’ve used it 6-7 times now and there’s still lots left. Fun fact! Bentonite clay comes in different types and colours, and the colour depends on mineral content in clay: White = rich in boron and fluoride Yellow = rich in manganese and zinc Green = rich in copper, zinc and manganese And Pink = rich in boron Pretty cool huh? How are you beating blackheads ?

Purchasing again, and again, and again......
When you find skincare that checks all your boxes - CLARISMA! In case you don’t know yet, enzymes are the next big thing. We’ve seen them here and there over the years but this line has fruit enzymes in all of its products. Yeeeeessss!! Why does this matter? Fruit enzymes gently exfoliate your skin clearing out pore clogs, built up dead skin, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, clears up acne, bumps under the skin, uneven texture, fine lines.... basically everything you don’t want, enzymes tackle. Why enzymes? Because they are gentle and we must be gentle with our skin!! Harsh acids that burn the skin and scrubs that are like sand paper is sooooo over. Gentle is best and it doesn’t mean not effective. Quite the opposite! Enzymes will perfect your skin. I’m 44 and this line has done more for my skin in mere months than acids and Retin A did over years. If I’m being honest, those probably did some damage. The best yet, this line is ridiculously affordable!! If you know of this line or you’ve used it, let me know!
❄️AM - WINTER ROUTINE❄️
Hey friends, With the first day of Winter (Dec 21st) quickly approaching, I wanted to talk about my morning skincare routine and what I am using right now. We get a lot of snow, and the air can be really dry where I am from so hydration, redness and sun care are my main Winter skincare focuses. The routine is really centred around maximum hydration and creating a protective barrier for the cold dry winds, coupled with having an appropriate amount of UV protection. Although the sun doesn’t feel as hot as in the summer, it’s reflection off the snow is still damaging to the skin. With redness and sun damage being one of my constants skin concerns I always make sure to have added protection on that front. Also, something I think is worth noting - When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is apply sunscreen. I don’t rinse my face or anything, just put on sunscreen straight away. I have a dog that needs to go out early in the morning and want to make sure I am protected, then I usually do a workout with my partner shortly after and then after that I do my AM routine. Tbh, I cleanse my face in the shower (I use CLARISMA - Cool Ocean Breeze Daily Cleanser). I know everyone says not too but I don’t actually take particularly hot showers plus I think it’s pretty easy to turn the temp down.. So I think it is sort of a weird blanket statement to say that it’s bad for your skin.. like sink tap water can get pretty flippin’ hot too. Then when I get out of the shower, skin still damp, I spray EARTH HARBOR - TIDAL ROSE Crystal Hydration Tonerall over my face followed by EARTH HARBOR - Celestine Hydra-Plumping Peptide Serumall while skin is damp. After that is dry I use a Vitamin C serum to help hyperpigmentation / redness and for added sun protection! I usually use Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumor ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serumfollowed by BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream, not everyone needs to use an eye cream but I have really bad sun damage under my eyes from when I was a kid and I find this product really helps me. Then moisturize with BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Omega Repair Creamand LAST but certainly not least 2 fingers of THANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream! And that’s it! It seems a little extreme, but doing 3 of the steps in and just out of the shower makes it actually a pretty quick routine ☺️ Are you using any of these products ?! What’s a must have in your winter routine ?

👩🔬My Tretinoin Journey ~ 8 Weeks in
Hi all! I started tretinoin / retin-a about 8 weeks ago for the first time. I got my prescription from Curology specifically seeking tretinoin, which I told my doctor so he would be sure to prescribe it to me! Always tell them if you’re looking for a specific ingredient! 👩🔬What is tretinoin/Retin-A? Tretinoin is a Retinoid; retinoids are derivatives of Vitamin A (retinol, retinaldehyde, retinal, isotretinoin, adapalene are others.) Tretinoin’s intended and approved use is for acne, as it was created for acne treatment, but it is very often prescribed for anti aging and skin texture because through the decades of research, doctors found it was great for reducing wrinkles and large pores and repairing sun damage. Tretinoin increases cell turnover and exfoliates the top layers of our skin Decreases the shedding of dead skin cells into our pores + decreases inflammation It works much more deeply and much more effectively than its non-prescription counterparts, such as regular retinol Although strengths cannot be compared across the board, it has been observed that retinol is roughly 20 times less potent than tretinoin Decades of research confirm tretinoin as the holy grail, “gold-standard” in topical treatments for fighting acne + clogged pores, as well as smoothing out fine lines + wrinkles, reducing pigmentation from damage, and evening the skin texture 🙋♀️Who should use tretinoin? Tretinoin is suitable for most people; the only people who should be wary of it are those who have extremely sensitive skin, rosacea ❌Do not use tretinoin or any retinoids when pregnant or breastfeeding!❌ Dermatologists say that tretinoin is a great option for comedonal acne since it exfoliates + prevents plugging of the pores 💊Using/starting Tretinoin - tips from me + my dermatologist I’d recommend starting with tretinoin in a lotion/cream formula as it tends to be less harsh than the gel due to having soothing ingredients included in the formula. Curology has a cream formula that I absolutely love LOW + SLOW : start with a low dose (ask your doctor and give them your history) + go slowly with use. My derm recommended starting M W F of each week but do it less if you are experiencing too much irritation always follow instructions + advice from your dermatologist. With curology, I am able to send my provider messages and pictures with concerns and requests Simplify your routine! I did cut back to hydrating cleanser(s), hydrating toner or essence, thick moisturizer, my curology formula, + an oil on top to lock it all in. As your skin accustoms you will be able to slowly work those treatment products back in SPF ALWAYS🌞 I started tretinoin at 0.005% and upped to 0.01% after one month and I am seeing smoother skin and smaller pores, with very little purging. Pictures are from ordered from oldest to new except the first which compares starting with 8 weeks. CBD as a skincare ingredient?!
Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, is a naturally-occurring chemical compound found in cannabis plants. It's one of the two primary active ingredients of cannabis, the other one being THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Unlike THC, pure CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, meaning it doesn't make you feel high. With healing properties, "cannabidiol offers some serious antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits which can be beneficial in treating skin concerns like inflammation, dryness and free radical damage," says Ildi Pekar, NYC-based aesthetician. Research shows that CBD has the potential to decrease excess sebum (oil) production, possibly due to its balancing effect on the flow of skin’s oil. I have extremely sensitive and acne prone skin and using CBD products have really helped “calm down”. What I mean by that is my skin feels less puffy and less irritated. I have some redness on my face at times and CBD products really help soothe and take away the redness. My fav cbd product is HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil It’s the perfect lightweight oil that does a really good job at hydrating my skin and calming it. ✨I found all of my sources from the Internet!
✨MY BLACK FRIDAY MUST HAVES✨
So... Black Friday has always been a big deal for me. Every year I make a point of staring a note in my phone of everyone I will have to buy for and what I want to surprise them with. I keep this going through the year and whenever I have a good idea I just pop it in my note. (I didn’t come up with this, I stole the idea from my super organized boyfriend) And then every year I buy all my presents for everyone on Black Friday, or whenever the B.F sales start. I love doing this cause I always feel like I get the best price, and I know that everything will arrive before Christmas. Now, it’s best to stick to the list but I can’t help but get caught up and snag a few things for myself. Here’s the deals for me that were simple too good to pass up; Biossance - 30% off site wide! now if you’ve been on my profile you know that their eye cream is a holy grail product for me! I decided to spring for the full size and try something new as well! I grabbed the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream and the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask, and for only $7 I couldn’t pass on the travel size BIOSSANCE - Eye Rescue Duo. The Laurel and Reed 3 month clean skincare box subscription - 25% off on Cratejoy! I’m absolutely obsessed with this box subscription. If you love clean skincare the products are AMAZING and the value is incredible. It’s all full size products and the brands they work with are killer! I also love that they do a colour theme every month so the boxes are so aesthetically pleasing. These boxes are only $47.95 for a 3 month subscription and have at least $125’s worth of goodies but honestly usually way more... it’s a good deal at the best of time but right now you can get an additional 25% off. Some of the items I’ve received in the past from L&R include; GRAYDON - Face Glow #Ere Perez - Cranberry Lip & Eye Butter[products]# LOLI - Plum Elixir LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract SRANGE BIRD - Inner Clarity Cleanser ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serum PURE ALCHEMY BEAUTY - Turmeric Glow sahajan - Nourish Face Cream Any deals you just couldn’t pass up this Black Friday ?
🍯 UH HUH, HONEY 🍯
The cold weather, paired with wearing a mask has been really triggering some dermatitis flare ups around my nose and chin. My face is so itchy and red in those areas, I can’t stop reaching for the soothing calming products in my collection. This LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract , is one I’ve been waiting to bust open and this past week I’m so grateful I have it. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| This super hydrating mask has really help calm down my flare ups and reduced the itchiness, which is super helpful when trying to fall asleep. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| thick cream texture 👃🏻|SCENT| floral raw honey 🍯 💦 |INGREDIENTS SPOTLIGHT| 🍯honey - a super hydrated humectant that revitalizes skin’s texture and relives stressed skin 🍯propolis extract - a powerful tool to fight off acne with its anti-bacterial and anti- inflammatory properties. It also helps soothe, by cooling the temperature of the skin. 💸 |VALUE| 4oz of cream will cost ya $27USD. At first I was kinda meh in the value cause I felt like there was way too much product that you could every use in the 6month to a year shelf life... but now I think I wouldn’t just use this on my face, and some recommended trying it as a hair mask too. So for such a multi faceted products, I think it’s great value for a useful product!

The lip balm face off
I have luscious lips that desire to be supple. I recently picked up the Summer Friday’s lip balm and am quite disappointed. It goes on nice but just sits there and the smell leaves a lot to be desired. For 20 bucks I can not repurchase. I have had that Elf Ride or Die balm for a while and it’s ok for 5 bucks. I do have their tinted kind and love them for a quick flush of color on Zoom calls. My holy grail is the a Laneige balm. She gives me lip gloss vibes but last. I am close to cutting it open to get all product out.
Milani - Rose butter lip mask
I’ve been using this lip mask for about a month, and I’m loving it. I can’t believe that this product isn’t talked about more, because it works just like a high-end lip mask. I use this lip product every single day faithfully. I like to apply it in the morning and also before I go to sleep. It leaves my lip super soft and hydrated. This lip mask is a pinky nude color but applies clear. I also don’t notice any fragrance so that’s a plus! Here are some other pros about this lip mask: - It’s about $8 or $9 at a drugstore. I purchased mine from target - 100% vegan & cruelty-free - it reminds me a lot of the SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm - Long lasting MILANI - Rose Butter Lip Mask

Shelfie vs Reality 🪞🤳🤔
Happy Presidents Day!! I was playing around trying to take my first ever shelfie and was struck by two things: 1) styling a shelfie is HARD!!! I am so impressed with the gorgeous, inspirational pictures you all take where a boring medicine cabinet seemingly effortlessly highlights all your best products. I think I have a ways to go. 2) this is soooooo not what my medicine cabinet looks like every day!! I took a step back once the cabinet was full of all my beautiful skincare and just laughed at how far it is from normal. Instead, all my goodies are hidden away in a cabinet. So I restored my shelves to their usual glory to avoid my husbands confusion about where on earth his toothbrush went and thought I’d share our reality. ➡️ swipe to see what the cabinet really looks like around here 🤪 Are there any products in here you want me to review? Let me know!
Is the Biossance Eye Duo Worth It?
I really struggle with my under eyes. The shape of my eyes makes them slightly wrinkled and I also have dark circles and they can get pretty puffy if I cry or don’t get enough sleep. They are also EXTREMELY sensitive. Concealer can make them sting and flake, and anything that touches them (facial moisturizer, serum, eye cream, etc.) can make them burn. Because of this it is hard to find an eye cream that doesn’t cause issues and I can’t always skip this step in my routine because I do wear concealer under my eyes and if I don’t take care of them they start to flake and it just looks awful. I found this Biossance trial size eye duo and had to test it out! I do typically think of eye cream as an expensive, glorified moisturizer unless it has active ingredients, but with my sensitivities I am willing to try them out to see if they help my issues. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream Of the two, this one is my favorite. Yes, it is essentially just a moisturizer, but I think that is what under eye skin has been needing because my facial moisturizer wasn’t cutting it. This one doesn’t cause any irritation and, once it sinks in, is good under concealer. BIOSSANCE - BIOSSANCE Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel This eye gel works well for puffiness, but I took one star off because on my sensitive days it can sting my skin a little and it also isn’t quite as hydrating as the other Biossance eye cream. It is a gel, so if hydration isn’t your main concern this would probably be great for you! I really do love both of these eye creams and highly recommend getting the trial duo if possible, but the full size products are so expensive that I just can’t justify repurchasing them for myself. If these are in your budget and your only real concerns are dryness and puffiness, then please get this! But if you are looking for a product that will make a long term difference in preventing/treating wrinkles, darkness, etc. you should try an eye cream that contains retinol. These are my suggestions for retinol eye creams listed from least to most expensive: 1️⃣ THE inkey LIST - Retinol Eye Cream 2️⃣ GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask 3️⃣ FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid If you have tried these products or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!
I love experimenting with different cleansers, so here’s some recent faves! TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser will always continue to be a go-to! This super refreshing gel-based cleanser removes dirt, impurities & makeup without stripping or over-drying. Probiotics, prebiotics & lactic acid gently exfoliate skin, leaving it purified, clarified & balanced. It feels and smells CLEAN more than any cleanser I’ve ever tried, and my skin always feels amazing after using. bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser this is a new one for me, but I can already tell I’m going to be a huge fan. This is a gentle, purifying cleanser with BHA (salicylic acid!!) and Brazilian sea water. This foaming cleanser keeps pores clear and skin balanced - without over-drying - for a clear, calm complexion every day. I’ve been struggling with maskne lately, and I truly feel like this is making a difference. SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser this is supposed to be a foaming gel cleanser made with plant based soaps to pull out impurities, clean, and balance skin. I didn’t love the consistency or the scent. I also didn’t feel like it foamed at all. Just meh. Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash this is a clinic-inspired foaming cleanser with AHAs and fruit enzymes to gently cleanse away oil, makeup, and surface impurities revealing smoother skin. More than any others, it has a nice tingly feeling and a great scent! Probably won’t be rushing to buy again, but also did enjoy it! Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser this is a creamy gel cleanser that is okay, but not amazing. It’s super gentle, pH balanced, and didn’t leave me with any complaints, but also nothing to rave about. JUICE BEAUTY - Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser I like this stuff for a gentle morning cleanse! The main benefits are it’s brightening effects! It has a great apple smell and a surprisingly runny consistency. EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil this has become my go-to first cleanse or gentle morning cleanse! It feels like rubbing a bit of sunshine on my face and has a great lemon scent! Highly recommend if you are okay with scented products!
🌞Another one of my recent new beauty buys was the EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil . I’ve been really loving this light weight oil cleanser. It’s a non greasy oil, that feels powdery as you massage it into the skin. 🌞It washes away easily with water and takes all the gunk along with it. A perfect first cleanse to ensure a squeaky clean canvas. 🌞It costs $24 dollars for a 2oz bottle, with a 6 month shelf life after being opened. I think it’s great value, you only need a half to three quarters of the dropper bottle pull to fully cleanse your face and neck. 🌞Also the smell is heavenly, it actually smells like a lemon meringue pie or something along those lines hahah definite vanilla and citrus. I’m a big fan! 🌞I always love looking at the shelf life of a product when I consider value, because I don’t think it makes sense to base value on size and price if you get a giant bottle but it only lasts 3-6months. Especially if you could never possibly use the amount before it expires. Claims: An oil cleanser that targets buildup, lack of essential vitamins and minerals and dull skin. Leaves skin feeling fresh, soft, hydrated and bright 🌞This cleanser totally lived up to my expectations, and I am so happy I picked it up. My original go to was the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser , but the smell of this Earth Harbor cleanser is too good not to reach for.

Moisturizers from Warmer to Colder months!
I have combo acne prone skin so finding a moisturizer that doesn’t break me out, doesn’t make me super oily OR super dry is a challenge. These 4 have been really great in my routine as of late! I like to use a gel or lighter formula in the daytime under makeup so my go to shave been FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya and SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream Both absolutely amazing moisturizers, the formulas and consistency of both are divine. Absolutely no complaints! I have been a fan of wFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Limited Edition for a long time. I use it frequently because I use Retin-A and have irritated skin from time to time. This cream is such a goodie, I think all skin types could get away with using it. It is honestly lightweight (almost whipped) and does not feel heavy on the skin at all! The FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer is new to me but it is GOOD. super super thicccccc. This would be an amazing winter time moisturizer for dry skin! It has amazing ingredients, humectants, ceramides, etc. I really like this one and have even used it in my nighttime routines lately. #cheriepartner
Trying new products. Versed, lamer, biossance✨
Starting off as always, with my trusty YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I did used my pmd - pmd Clean Pro but my footage got cut off 🙃 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Mask I will not review it yet as I need to use it more than once. But upon first impressions it felt good on the skin, glides on smoothly and doesn’t sting nor dries the skin out. It’s a creamy consistency but it does not run. So far so good 💁🏼♀️ will update* GROWN ALCHEMIST - Polishing Facial Exfoliant I will return the exfoliating paste from Aesop, this is waaaay superior and has a nice texture not to mention smells amazing & it exfoliates while being gentle enough!💖 *I will do a dedicated product vs product review soon. -UPDATED- Then I went in with VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW toner. Can’t really go wrong affordable, great ingredients, smells super great and awesome for traveling; plus it is clean and cruelty free. As for brightening effects I’ve used it only twice and will have to see. It doesn’t sting nor it doesn’t dry out my face which I feel would be a good everyday toner as they suggest. *will update* Sooo TONERS... 👀 I double toned (if that’s even a thing), I got the cocokind - Raspberry vinegar toner and decided to spray it afterwards as a treatment toner rather than a toner, toner! 😂. Let me tell you the toner is REALLY strong, feels more like an astringent and will burn if acne is present or skin is sensitive. NOT for those with sensitive skin, unless diluted. • Then I used my lovely Le Blanc Lotion by Chanel as usual five stars ✨ • After I used my serums in the following order: VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM I cannot say if it has done anything yet in terms of firmness and wrinkles as this takes more time. But the ingredients are phenomenal and for $20 you can’t really go wrong. Definitely will keep you guys updated!* BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum So far feels nice on the skin & left it really soft. Smells amazing. Gave it 4 starts since I need to see what it does in terms of texture. I did make the mistake of using this one first and then the retinol. In terms of consistency the latter is more runny and needs to be applied before this one. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum I need to try it more before giving a final verdict. So far it feels good, has a lightweight consistency; it’s like a really light cream that turns into a serum and sinks in quite fast. The smell is definitely natural, not strong & dissipates quickly. And lastly, it’s definitely really gentle on the skin, no peeling, burning or dryness. BIOSSANCE - Radiantly Rose Duo Bang for your buck definitely worth trying! Perfect for those who hate a greasy oil. LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream Holygrail❤️

🌙 evening skincare routine for dry skin 🌙
winding down for the evening 😴 and wanted to share some good nighttime products for my dry skin. i live in the southwest so hydration + moisturizing are critical (hence my huge water bottle!). cleanse with Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser - gentle and effective. i am always searching for a good inexpensive cleanser, but the price point isn’t too high with this product. i like the subtle rosewater scent. treat with one of the following acids - either Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector OR DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum OR pixi - Glow Peel Pads - that is in order of increasing strength. glossier or DE for most nights, and pixi sparingly (usually for hormonal breakouts, 1-2x per week max). if my skin is feeling good, i’ll skip this step. soothe with DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil - this is a light and gentle face oil that my skin drinks up. i’m always on the lookout for a new face oil if anyone has a good rec! moisturize with LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask - i just use this like a moisturizer. it soaks in overnight and leaves my skin looking plump and healthy. i really like the light gel texture. for lips, i’ll do vaseline or the laneige lip sleeping mask (trying to empty that one). sweet dreams! 💤

🌙💤Current Nighttime routine
🌚This is my basic night routine at the moment, even though I’m still considering some new products to possibly add or swap out... Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments💕 I use the products in the following order: YVES SAINT LAURENT - Top Secrets Universal Makeup Remover Balm in Oil First part of my double-cleanse. I haven’t worn makeup since the beginning of quarantine, but it’s still really necessary to break down all the sunscreen I wear. This is a nice cleansing balm, it’s very silky & light compared to others, & has a lovely scent. I haven’t tested it yet for removing makeup though. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash A favorite of mine, I did a full review of this product in a previous post🍓I love this gentle exfoliating cleanser! DIOR - Hydra Life Balancing Hydration 2 in 1 Sorbet Water Check out my review of this hydrating, prebiotic toner in a previous post. MAY COOP - Raw Sauce 🍁My holy grail essence, it’s 93% maple extract. Check out my recent post for my full review & ingredient breakdown. Sulwhasoo - First Care Activating Serum Limited Edition Such an amazing serum! I need to do a more detailed review soon. ESTĒE LAUDER - Perfectionist CP+R Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum I don’t use this every night... it’s actually a great daytime product because it’s matte, smoothing & pore perfecting. Honestly it makes a great (but expensive) makeup primer! fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer Just did a review on this night cream, feel free to check it out. I just emptied it, so instead I used: NARS - Aqua Gel Luminous Mask This is really great product to relieve irritated skin. It has a lot of marine extracts. I did a full review of this in a previous post💙🦪This product really impressed me! Finally I’ll finish my routine with a decadent lip balm LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Also previously did a full review of this new Gummy Bear scented lip sleeping mask & the corresponding lip glowy balm🧸💜so moisturizing!!! ☁️goodnight beauties☁️
NARS-Aqua Gel Luminous Mask
most thankful for all of these farmacy staples #cheriethankful🔅 i have consistently used their products for over a year now and have noticed so many positive changes in my skin. looking to try their face oil & vitamin c serum next. ✨ 🍯 the honey drop moisturizer smells like honey and is super lightweight and fresh. sleep tight is an oil-gel balm that sinks into your ⭐️ skin to moisturize and plump out fine lines and wrinkles. really seals everything in at night. 💫 honeymoon glow is an aha resurfacing serum that exfoliates, cleans pores, and helps clear acne. 🔅honey potion is a warm honey mask that is super nourishing, healing, and moisturizing. makes my skin glow. 💛 green clean is a cleansing balm that removes the toughest makeup while being super gentle and moisturizing. what are your farmacy favorites?! 🍯
FARMACY-Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
Tatcha started off as a treat for me, one product here, another product there, but it has quickly grown to be a top shelf brand for me, and I’m on my way to a fill Tatcha routine! Its an expensive brand, yes, but I enjoy the luxurious textures and packaging, but more importantly, I truly believe in their innovative skincare ingredients, their concept on skin and found them to be very effective! Lets first talk about the Hadasei-3 concentrate thats inside each one of Tatchas products. Its a powderhouse of green tea, rice and red algae that are antiaging through the antioxidant content of green tea, smoothing, through the fermentation of the ingredients which results in lactic acid, and plumping with the hydrating benefits of these ingredients. This amazong compound is also found in 98.7% in The Eessence which has been a huuuge gamechanger for me. I attribute my smooth, plumped skin primarily to this product since I use every day. Another gamechanger for me was the Violet C radiance mask. How SOFT and SMOOTH and GLOWY my skin becomes after using this mask is unbelievable. Its so beautiful and luxurious. Ive also transitioned to daily gentle exfoliation with their enzyme cleanser. The enzymes are especially gentle for sensitive skin and all skin types in fact, that its more like a dead-skin-cell digesting cleanser. I love it, super hooked and will likely always have this in my life. I used the Dewy Skin Concentrate for the longest time as a night cream, and woke up with beautiful dewy, glowy skin every day. Sadly, it is now empty but I may repurchase at some point- its really pricey 😭

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
