AN OBVIOUS (readers) CHOICE ✨💛🌿
✨It’s no surprise the YTTP Superfood Cleanser won an Allure readers choice award in the clean beauty category. If you haven’t found at least one holy grail youth to the people product by now, trust me, it’ll happen soon. ✨There’s so much to love about this brand. Their products are filled with consciously-sourced ingredients, vegan actives, and premium superfood blends. Their formulas are all cruelty free and 100% vegan. The are extremely plant driven, and focus on making an impact on your skin, instead of on the environment. And honestly, that just skims the surface of the amazing things this brand stands for. ✨I fell in love with the superfood cleanser, and have started using it almost every day. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| This cleanser provides such a nice deep clean, it doesn’t feel stripping at all and has a little foam to it. I love to use it in the morning after the gym as it claims to effectively help prevent built up in pores, which so far seems to be totally true! At night if I’m wearing makeup, with a couple drops of the super berry facial oil it is totally effective in removing my makeup, sunscreen and any other build up from the day and sets me up nicely for my second cleanse. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| This product has a nice gel consistency, its a perfect thickness that it doesn’t just slide off you hand when you go to apply it but thin enough that it spreads easily and coats the skin evenly and nicely. 👃🏻|SCENT| This cleanser has a faint earthy, green scent to it. It smells very natural and has grown on me more and more after each use. In the beginning I was impartial, but now I really like the smell. 💦 |INGREDIENTS| 🌿Kale -Packed with Vitamins A,B,C and K this antioxidant rich ingredient will help reduce the look of pores, make dark circles disappear, promote collagen production, prevent free-radical damage and detoxify the skin. 🌿Spinach - strengthens moisturizes and restore skin’s natural luminosity while reducing the look of dark spots and sun damage. Thanks to rich composition of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fatty acids spinach is also able to reduce oxidative stress in turn reducing the visible signs of aging. 🌿Green Tea Leaf Extract- Another great antioxidant with UV protection, and anti -inflammatory properties. Not to mention it is also anti carcinogenic and antimicrobial! 🌿Ascorbic Acid - boosts collagen production, fades pigmentation and brown spots, and boosts UV protection! 💸 |VALUE| The 8oz bottle goes for $47 CAD, which is a little less than $6 an ounce. Considering how long the 1oz bottle has lasted me, it could definitely last you 4-6 months? Considering everything comes in beautiful and refillable glass bottles, and all the amazing initiatives YTTP participates in to me it feels good to spend a little more knowing my money is going to a brand that aligns with my personal ethos. If you’ve been hesitant to try this brand, I encourage you to take the plunge. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser

My recent daytime routine for oily skin
Note** This picture doesn’t include my Netrogena sunscreen ** I always always wear it though!! I’ve gone through a ton of different products and a ton of different routines for daytime trying to combat my oily skin. This one is my most recent but it’s the one that has undoubtedly helped me the most!! Daytime ☀️ I wake up and I cleanse my face with the Youth to the People Kale+Green tea, spinach, & vitamins face wash. This cleans my face of all the nightly skincare products I use and leaves my face soft but not stripped. (This is very important! Do not use a wash that will strip your skins oils if you have oily skin, it will just work overtime to replace it 😩) I then spray my face with the Youth to the People Adaptogen soothe & hydrate mist. This gives my skin a boost of hydration but it also leaves my skin matte which is perfect! I really love this spray and I use this throughout the day as needed as well! My last step before ☀️screen, (because honestly your daytime routine should be simple) is I use the boscia charcoal gel moisturizer. I just did a review on this moisturizer and I’m not kidding when I say that this is literally my holy grail for my oily skin. It moisturizes extremely well but the charcoal and it absorbs any oil and it continues to do so throughout the day even under make up!! This is a very recent routine I’ve adapted and it’s working amazing right now!! I don’t even have to reapply powder throughout the day which is the best!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 If anything changes I will definitely make an update post! If you have oily to combination skin and you were looking for a routine that will help your face stay matte but still moisturize throughout the day definitely give this one a try!! 💧 boscia - Revitalizing Black Charcoal Hydration Gel YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
🌍Eco friendly skincare packaging = the future
Glass packaging in skincare really is the wave when it comes to sustainability! Glass jars reduce the quantity of plastic waste created by the beauty industry, and I’m for it. I love repurposing glass jars to store other items like jewelry, homemade creams and candle wax! Something Youth to the People does that I find amazing is they sell a large bottle that you can refill smaller bottles with. My mini is now a travel must for me, and instead of purchasing again and again I just refill it! 🍀🌴☘️ I also think it’s an amazing cleanser so it’s a win-win. green goodness for glowy skin 🌱
This is a small routine that I used last year that ended up being all green. Starting with a cleanser: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I have reviewed this before and I love it. It’s such a gentle cleanser and it feels so fresh on my skin. It never causes any dryness for me and the bottle is so pretty. Next onto an exfoliator: L'ORÉAL - Pure Sugar Scrub Purify & Unclog This scrub uses sugar which I like because it dissolves down while scrubbing. It was super gentle on my skin but still gave me a nice glow. It smelled like kiwi but it did not taste like kiwi (it was nasty when some got into the corner of my mouth). It heats up a bit when you begin to rub it which I enjoyed. It never was too abrasive on my face. It didn’t really unclog my pores like it said but it still worked as a pretty basic physical exfoliant. Now onto masking: PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masque This is a gel mask that I often throw in the fridge before use for extra cooking effect. It has a nice thick gel consistency. My face definitely looked refreshed after using it and I had a nice glow but this mask seems rather expensive for what it is. I don’t think I would repurchase this again.

Thoughts on the YTTP superfood cleanser!
After hearing nothing but amazing things about this cleanser , I decided to cave in and buy the mini size. I just finished the bottle and I have some thoughts. I have been struggling with teen acne for around two years now and I am yet to find a cleanser that has good ingredients and helps with my acne and this cleanser did exactly that. Directly after using the cleanser my skin felt so clean and I didn’t feel even a hint of left over oil on my skin like I generally have with other cleansers. I used this cleanser at night in a double cleanse system after my banila co cleansing balm and in the morning by it’s self. My skin always feels extra oily in the mornings when I wake up but, On nights when I used this cleanser I definitely noticed less oil in the mornings. This product also help clear of clogged pores around my nose area which no othe cleanser has ever done. I love what this cleanser has done for my skin and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped. Now let’s talk ingredients. There is no ingredients I don’t like or would find problematic in this product. There is no added fragrance and this product is paraben free which I really like because fragrance can irritate and sensitize your skin. This product has panthenol (vitamin b5) to hydrate the skin. It also contains asorbic acid (vitamin c) which boosts the skins collagen production. And it has green tea leaf extract which is a great antioxidant and a great anti inflammatory as well as a uv protectant. Another ingredient is aloe vera leaf extract which had moustrizing properties and anti inflammatory properties. Overall, this cleanser is very hydrating and great to help repair your moustire barrier. I love using it and it’s amazing. The YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser is one of the best cleaners I have ever tried. ABOUT THE PHOTO- I am very into graphic desgin on procreate so I have been working on skincare photo draws like this one! Comment any requests for photos I should draw and review next!

All hail cleansing oils!

Fenty Skin Journey - Total Cleans’r
So, it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve received all 3 of my Fenty Skin products. Since the products came out there have been mixed reviews. Due to fragrance being in all 3 of the products, many people have been seeing dry, textured, skin after a few days of usage. For me, it’s been going a bit different: In the first couple days of me using the Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, I noticed that my skin was becoming more textured. I had grown a bunch of tiny little bumps around my chin area and on my cheeks closer to my nose. This really concerned me because after watching reviews a lot of people who claimed to have sensitive skin were the main ones with issues. I never thought my skin to be sensitive so when this started happening I thought maybe I knew nothing about my skin at all 🤷🏾♀️. Fast forward to using the cleanser now, my skin responds by being more supple and softer like Rih keeps saying in all her tutorial videos. I’ve also been trying out this new technique where I don’t dry my face off and I rinse my face with cold water. After doing this with the Total Cleans’r, I found that my enlarged pores on my cheeks around my nose looked as if they were filling out. They weren’t completely gone but they seemed to be a bit more shrunken. Rihanna also speaks of the Cleans’r doing a great job of not completely drying out the skin after a wash and I would agree with that to a certain degree. Definitely feels more hydrating than most cleansers I’ve used in my lifetime. Still I would recommend this more for people with oily skin because I have oily skin and the product still dries me out just a little so I couldn’t imagine how it works in dry skin. Lastly, things I just disagree with completely would be to use this cleanser as a makeup remover. My skin is not sensitive to the fragrance in the product but using it to get rid of mascara and concealer really leaves my eyes irritated and I think that’s because of the fragrance. And overall, the peachy smell of the cleanser is just not my favorite. It’s not overpowering at all but it surely just isn’t something I care much for. Smells very perfumy to me. All in all: I love the Total Cleans’r and recommend it to my oily skinn’ed people and think it’s worth the $25 FENTY SKIN - Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser

One of the best way to us spinach 🥰
this product helps me cleanse my face without irritating it and especially by moisturizing it. I have very dry skin and the cleanser helps my skin absorb the vitamins. I no longer feel my face dry after using it, and I have a shiny face. I just add a cream to close the pores. green tea eliminates impurities and purifies the skin. it also closes the pores after cleaning it gives a more refreshing and youthful effect. spinach, it is an anti-acne it cleans toxins it protects the epidermis and reduces inflammation.so if you have redness you can boil water and put spinach turn into paste and put on the face! that's wonderful it also helps prevent aging of the skin it also helps for hair loss vitamins A and C they help produce the oil necessary to strengthen them
