WAYS TO USE FACE OIL- BESIDES ON YOUR FACE 🌞
✨your follows and cheers mean so much 💛✨ So if you saw my review from a few days ago, you already know that I was not so stoked on this face oil. I found it caused irritation and redness on my face which was a total bummer because I really wanted to like this product. That being said, it was a little pricey so I wanted to find other ways to use it and not let it just go to waste. Personally I’ve been using it as a cuticle oil, and have been really happy with the hydration I’m getting around my nails and am happy that I’m getting my money’s worth! Do you have a face oil that didn’t really do it for you ? Here are a couple different ways you can repurpose your product 💛 ✨ Put a few drops in your body lotion - adding a couple drops will make your lotion go on smoother and pump up the hydration factor ✨ Add a small amount to dry, split ends - give your ends a little TLC, or tame flyaways with a couple drops of oil. ✨ Use it as a cuticle oil - apply a small drop on each of your cuticles, rub it in then follow up with moisturizer for silky smooth hands If the product doesn’t irritate your face, but you’ve got a couple bottles on the go maybe try ✨ Using it to remove makeup - oil helps lifts makeup, but be careful not to get it in your eyes .. also be careful around your eyes if your oil is heavily fragranced. ✨ Add a drop or two to your foundation - adding face oil to your foundation and letting it absorb into the skin will act as primer and give you a hydrated glow 💛 I would love to hear if you have any other face oil hacks 💛

WORTH THE $ ???
✨your follows and cheers mean so much 💛✨ So lately I’ve been super captivated by the Biossance products. They are pretty pricey, so when I saw Sephora has some minis I just had to get them! I’ll start with the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream , which I LOVED. When I was younger I got a really terrible sunburn on my face, and I have had permanent skin damage under my eyes ever since. I’ve tried many eye creams to counteract the damage but this is the first one that I’ve been so happy with everything about this eye cream. I had great results in just a few days and will definitely be repurchasing this product. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| amazing, I was so happy with the hydration, brightening and firming of under and around my eyes. I have like little white dots under my eyes from the sun but have found this is helping to reduce the appearance and smooth them out! 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| this is a thick cream, spreads nicely - it stays in place and soaks in quickly. 👃🏻|SCENT| this eye cream is fragrance free 👍🏼 I don’t think you’d want anything super smelly under your eyes anyways. 💦 |INGREDIENTS| marine algae - visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Paracress extract - smooths and firms Squalane - Locks in moisture This is also a ‘clean’ at Sephora product 🌿 💸 |VALUE| this eye cream goes for $71 for a 15ml pot. I personally think it’s totally worth it and I will repurchase when my mini is out! I got the 3ml as a sample and it has lasted me almost three weeks now and I’ve been applying it twice a day. (There are also still doing the mini at Sephora when you spend $35 using promo code BIOSSANCE) ————————————————————————————— I have combination skin more on the oily side. I found the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil to leave my skin super greasy, I think the rose scent caused my skin to turn red and I found I was getting white heads after using this product. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| meh, was very oily. Left my skin red and greasy and I definitely didn’t feel like my skin was brightened or firmed like the claims 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| thin oil, easy to spread 👃🏻|SCENT| this oil is fragrance free, but has light rose notes from the rose flower extract 💦 |INGREDIENTS| the ingredient in this product are vegan, cruelty free, paraben free and synthetic fragrance free. The main ingredients highlighted in the product are squalane - for long lasting moisture Damascus rose extract - to awaken the senses and boost healthy looking radiance Chios crystal oil - revitalizes skin and improves look of firmness 💸 |VALUE| this bottle goes for $95 CAD for 30ml. In my opinion this is totally not worth it ... looking at the ingredients you could probably make this oil yourself lol pretty easily..
Biossance on a budget hack!
Like many of you, I got a sample of the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil and fell deeply in love. Tragically, this beauty is $72 for 1oz and that causes me and my grad student stipend physical pain 😩 Even though the bottle lasts me forever with daily use (I mix 3-4 drops in with my morning moisturizer), I just couldn’t justify buying another bottle after splurging on the first one. Luckily, I found a workaround that ended up saving me over 90% of the cost! I realized that what I really love about this oil is the feel—it’s lightweight and super moisturizing, but it never leaves me feeling greasy. I’m not sure how much the vitamin C in this does for me—Biossance doesn’t specify the percentage, and I always use a separate vitamin C product anyway (see my previous post!) I’m also not sure if the added rose oil makes much of a difference in my skin. Enter the BIOSSANCE - 100% Squalane Oil Limited Edition ! This is the exact same squalane that makes up the base of the other oil, it just doesn’t have added vitamin C or rose oil. It has that same moisturizing, lightweight feel that I fell in love with, but wait for it: this 3.3oz bottle was $22 (this was on sale—it’s normally $32, which is still less than half the price of the other oil for more than 3x the amount of product). That means I paid less than $7/oz, compared to $72/oz! I don’t think I’ll ever go back (unless I win the lottery, then maybe). This oil can also be used on hair and body, but so far I’ve only used it on my face. At that price point though, I wouldn’t feel bad about using it pretty liberally all over! Does anyone else looove Biossance?

Say hello to my newest obsession - the herbivorebotanicals Emerald Cannabis Sativa Deep Moisture Glow Oil. I’ve been using this for the past few weeks and it’s AMAZING! - Here are the deets: Emerald is made with Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Oil (to nourish & hydrate), Squalane (locks in moisture), Meadowfoam Seed Oil (rich with s to condition & soften) and adaptogens (to calm & protect from environmental stress). It’s vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and contains no THC or CBD (although I’d love to see a CBD version of this product). - I fell in love with Herbivore’s Orchid Oil , so when they dropped Emerald, I knew I needed to try it and it’s quickly become a staple in my winter routine. This oil is super lightweight and absorbs in a flash. I’ve been using it as the last step in my nightly routine and wake up with uced ness and the most gorgeous glow. Not a greased up, oily glow; more like a glow from within. - I’ve experienced no irritation whatsoever, nor does it cause breakouts or clog my . Best of all, it hydrated and plumps my dry like no other oil I’ve tried. My dry s have disappea entirely and I’ve seen some improvement in the tone and texture of my since I started using Emerald. I’m not completely sold on the scent, but I don’t hate it either. I really can't recommend it enough.

Squalane 💜 the six star skin savior
has the best options for squalane containing products. They use ethically & sustainably sourced squalane made from sugarcane. I first tried the squalane + phyto-retinol serum, and absolutely fell in love. I have repurchased twice and will definitely keep a bottle of this on hand at all times. The squalane oil 💯 saved my dry ass legs. Love how much my skin drinks you this oil, and hydration lasting through the day. Used a couple times in my hair, but prefer other hair oils. Prefer the squalane + rose oil for face. My face broke out when I first tried the micronutrient fine mist, stopped using it for about six months, but was fine after I reintroduced into my routine. The glycolic renew facial was super yummy. Spreads like butter. Will probably grab another mini, but have other masks I like more and a full size would expire before I used it up. Unfortunately the omega repair cream totally broke me out, so I won’t be repurchasing. Overall, I enjoy the majority of Biossance line, and highly recommend the phyto-retinol serum and squalane oil for body.

mega hydrating, lightweight oil.
This oil from Youth to the People is incredible! I’ll share my thoughts below 💫 I have normal to dry skin right now, mostly combo though. I am acne prone, with sensitive skin and rosacea. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil Claims: — fast absorbing — leave skin soft — hydrating — gives a glow How to use: — apply 2-5 drops to your palms, rub together and then press into skin — can be used to mix a drop in with foundation to make it more dewy! — can be used as a primer Key Ingredients: — Maqui (antioxidant) — acai, goji (antioxidants) — prickly pear (hydration) — squalane (hydration) — vitamin c (brightening) — Jojoba, sunflower oil (hydrating, nourishing) My thoughts: — this is really hydrating! It soothes my dry, flakey skin pretty fast, and I’ve been having a hard time lately so... trust me! — pretty lightweight, isn’t heavy (like honey grail from farmacy) — gives me a glow without being greasy. — I like applying this before my moisturizer in the AM, and before+after moisturizer in the PM if my skin is really dry. — makes a great makeup base as well, super dewy looks abound. — kind of expensive ($44) for the size. I also have lots of oils right now, so I can’t justify buying it until I finish them. But I would totally repurchase this! #CherieCreator

The Squalane Facial Oil by Indie Lee INDIE LEE - Squalane Facial Oil is something I use pretty much every day. I use it as part of my night routine, over whatever targeted product I’m using. It’s a lovely texture and one of the best hydrating products I’ve tried!

My favorite morning facial oil 🌹
If you’re looking to add moisture into your morning routine without ending up with a greasy face, STOP RIGHT THERE! This oil BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil from Biossance has been a recent addition to my routine (2 weeks of daily use so far) and I can confidently say I’m not afraid to use an oil in my morning routine anymore! This is a squalane-based facial oil featuring brightening properties in the form of rose and vitamin C. Now, I have used squalane oils in the past from other brands, but Biossance’s is 100% derived from plants and GIRL IT SHOWS! It’s extremely lightweight while still giving you an instant boost of moisture and it leaves you with an satin finish rather than a DEWY (or, lets be honest, greasy) finish. OH, AND, it has an amazing smell! I chose to use rose emojis in my photo because it smells so beautiful like roses! The scent isn’t overpowering either, just a nice added bonus. I have to mention since I’m a sensitive skinned lady that I have had ZERO, ZILCH luck in the past when it came to vitamin c products—they ALL gave me an instant allergic reaction of redness and itchiness. However, this is the first vitamin c product that actually soothes my skin! In my morning routine, I use 3 drops after my Hyaluronic acid serum and before my moisturizer. It gives me an awesome boost of moisture especially in this harsh, dry winter! Now, lets talk price: $72 for 1oz—ouch! However, with daily use for 2 weeks I’ve barely made a dent in it so I estimate it will last at least 6-8 months. For a high quality product like this, I find that reasonable. Is it affordable for everyone? Absolutely not, but skincare is one of the only things in my life that I splurge on, so I can justify it. I should also mention that Biossance always has a value kit with this oil in it so you have a chance to save money that way!! I have to rate it 5 out of 5 stars because it’s not only suitable for my sensitive skin, but it’s a product I actually look forward to using every day.
