Blondes you need this purple shampoo 🧴
If you’re going to spend money on blonding your hair in a salon, you absolutely need a purple shampoo. Purple shampoos are used to help combat yellow (yellow and purple are complementary colors!) in blonde hair, keep the blonde cooler and looking more refreshed in between salon appointments. They work by using temporary color which lays on top of the hair. You can overdo them but in reality you can always shampoo a couple of time with regular shampoo to get it out. I discovered Kristin Ess products a while back and I think they’re great and very affordable. I especially love the purple shampoo. KRISTIN ESS - The One Purple Shampoo
It’s really pigmented, so it actually works without having to use it every day. I use it once a week to maintain my blonde.
Smells amazing. It has a pretty strong perfume scent so if you’re into those kind of smells like I am you will love it.
The price point. It’s only $12 at Target!
You can use this product more if you’re trying to get your blonde extra ashy or even see a slight tint of purple in it. Remember you can always use your regular shampoo if you feel that you’ve overdone it!

Products + Styles for Long, Fine, Blonde Hair✨
As the title says, my hair is currently long, fine, and blonde (part natural, part bleach😜). Maintaining healthy hair while dealing with these elements can be tricky sometimes so I’m here to show you some of my favourite products for keeping my hair toned, long, and healthy. With my hair type, I mainly focus on hydration, repairing/prevention, toning, and texture (with my hair being fine + straight I like to give it a boost of texture). First up, let’s talk shampoo. I wash my hair about 2-3 times per week and I rotate between a purple shampoo, clarifying/detox shampoo, and a regular shampoo. What I’ve been using lately are - • KRISTIN ESS - The One Purple Shampoo this one works soooo well to tone all of the brassiness out of my hair AND it’s affordable. The one con IMO is it’s very heavily fragranced. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Cocomino Glossing Shampoo this is what I’ve been using as a detox shampoo and it works pretty well - not the best and not the worst. It has a nice light scent and does leave my hair feeling very clean. Downside to this one is the price tag, it’s pretty expensive for such a small bottle. IGK - Low Key Cleansing Walnut Scalp Scrub I recently started incorporating a scalp scrub into my routine; this one works decently well but I have a hard time getting the product to my scalp. BUT if/when I do, I love the cooling peppermint feeling it leaves behind on my scalp. Next up, I try to use a mask or deep conditioner once a week. I’ve been using the eva·nyc - Therapy Session Hair Mask and it’s quite nice. It leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated but again, it’s quite heavily fragranced which I don’t love. Now this next product is my holy-grail...seriously I am obsessed with it and sing its praises. The KEVIN.MURPHY - Kevin.Murphy Young.Again rescued my dead, bleached ends and brought my hair back to life and helped it to grow long and healthy for the first time in over 10 years. I don’t know what else to say...it’s magic and you need it. Lastly, some styling products I’ve been loving are - • davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray this isn’t a super drying salt spray like some I’ve tried in the past; it gives my hair some grip and texture without the crunchiness. It also has a light vanilla musk scent that I love! • KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer Me Blonde this spray contains violet reflects to help tone out brassiness in blonde hair and it’s sooo pretty. It’s like a light oil in texture and feels more like a treatment than a styling product - another Kevin Murphy product I’m in love with!! As for styles, some of my most worn are - • air dried • flat iron waves • half up pony • half up top knot • all up top knot • centre part • deep side part • scrunchies always What are your favourite hair products for your hair type?!
Best Purple Shampoo 💜
This is a MUST-HAVE purple shampoo in your shower. Especially if you don’t want to have that dewy, washed away golden hair. I purchased this KRISTEN ESS Purple Shampoo in hopes to get rid of at least mellow out the yellow. It worked! I say it worked 95% coverage. This shampoo twice a week will give you a perfect gray tone and leave it on my hair for closer to 8 minutes while I shave. It's very important to use a hydrating conditioner afterwards as well. It makes drastically improves the look of my hair!

MY HOLY GRAILS FOR COARSE HAIR
I still haven’t gotten around to getting my hair cut after lockdown, and as a result my normally straight and smooth hair is feeling pretty coarse, especially the ends. Here are some products that I’ve found help make my hair look and feel much better! Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Hair Serum This oil and silicone-based hair serum comes in a pump bottle that dispenses the perfect amount of serum for my hair. I usually apply 1 to 1 ½ pumps of hair serum, any more than that and it can weigh my hair down. It contains a mix of plant oils including: Argan, Camellia, Coconut, Apricot, Marula, Jojoba, and Olive Oil. My tip for this product is to apply it to slightly damp hair, then blow dry for maximum shine and smoothness. It has a floral smell (which I love) and a single bottle seems to last a really, really long time.I bought mine in Korea in January this year and I’m barely a quarter of the way through it now, so it will last me a while! L’Oreal Elvive/Elseve Extraordinary Oil Conditioner A good conditioner helps smooth coarse hair, too. This one also has a lot of plant oils to condition hair and make it smooth and silky. It also has a floral yet sweet scent that I love—I love nice-smelling hair care, okay?! I apply a pretty generous amount to my lengths and ends of hair (never roots, that’s how you get greasy flat roots). I’ve actually repurchased this many times before and I’ll continue to buy it (until I get bored of the scent, that is…) Both of these are affordable, drugstore picks that I’d happily recommend to anyone that’s looking for great hair care that smooths down coarse hair.
💜💜 Perfect purple shampoo for blonde babes!
I have naturally dark brown hair that is bleached balayage, therefore I still need to use purple products to keep my blonde pieces from becoming brassy. This has become my new favorite shampoo for toning my bleached hair! It keeps my blonde hair ashy and doesn’t dry out my hair like I’ve experienced with other purple shampoos. It also smells amazing! I definitely recommend this purple shampoo for anyone wanting that lovely ashy blonde look.

quench thirsty hair 💕
💕The eva·nyc - Therapy Session Hair Maskis a deep conditioning hair mask which promises to moisturize, repair and strengthen dry, damaged hair 💕ingredients in this mask Include keravis protein, buckthorn and Argan oil 💕i began running low on my Briogeo don’t despair, repair deep conditioner but my budget wasn’t allowing me to spend $36 to replace it 💕I saw the Eva nyc hair mask while browsing target ($14.49) and decided to give it a try especially since it has many positive reviews 💕so far I have only used it one time, as I still have some Briogeo left. Based on my first use, it did leave my hair feeling soft and allowed for easy detangling while in the shower. I may have to switch up what shampoo I pair it with though. 💕I will update in the future once I’ve used it a couple more times.

Managing Dry Ends ✨
Back before I chopped my hair off it was very damaged, especially at the ends. It was dry, frizzy, and all around a pain to deal with and look at. This is where IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm came in to save the day. I want to say I have naturally wavy hair that has dealt with years of heat damage, color damage, and is very thick. IGK (which is hands down my favorite hair care brand) claims this hydrating balm conditions the hair without weighing it down. For $29 you get 5 oz of products (I have a sample size of it). It contains: coconut oil to nourish and strengthen shea butter to add moisture argan oil to nourish and strengthen This really brought the moisture back to the ends of my curls. I usually used this on days when I wanted to wear my hair natural and I would distribute a little bit into the ends while it air dried. It’s a very lightweight balm that melts into the hair. I would only use this in my ends because of all the oils it has. It didn’t weigh them down or make them feel greasy. It has a nice fragrance to it but it isn’t too strong which I enjoyed because some hair products I own can definitely give me a headache. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a leave in product to hydrate any dry, damaged ends. #CheriePartner

Incredibly Silky Soft Hair (I’m obsessed!)
I love leave-in hair products. They’re easy to use - you just spray it in your hair, go about your day and forget all about it. I’m actually switching up between 3 different types of leave in treatments at the moment! This leave in conditioner by Schwarzkopf is absolutely wonderful. It was super affordable and leaves your hair feeling super soft to the touch with a lovely shine (and of course smells great). This is extremely useful for days where you don’t have enough time to condition your hair but still need something to tame your hair. The spray application is great because it’s so easy to apply. I apply this generously to the ends of my hair when I’m straight out of the shower and go in with a wide tooth comb just to ensure that it’s evenly distributed through my hair. You can either just blow dry as normal or let it air dry. It’s also amazing for detangling. Just spritz and them comb through the ends. One thing i’ve noticed is that you do need to be relatively generous with this product if you have thicker hair like me! This product is particularly great for people with dry damaged hair. My ends feel extremely healthy and shiny. The product itself is relatively thin in consistency too so it’s perfect for everyday use. I find that some leave in conditioners can feel a bit heavy and weigh on your hair – this one is lightweight and is perfect for people who want a bit more volume on the head. I’m always looking for new leave in products - what’s your favourite? I think out of all the ones I’ve tried so far, my favourite is still by far the John Freida Frizz Ease Serum (I’ve done a review on this in one of my other posts!)
