Skincare gems at Trader Joe’s
These are some of my favorite products from Trader Joe’s and would recommend to anyone ! TRADER JOE'S - Nourish Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum if you’re looking to start using hyaluronic acid in your skincare routine I would highly recommend this product. Hyaluronic acid is a “ water holding” molecule so it can help bring hydration (water)to your skin from the air ( if the humidity is high enough, if not it actually will pull water out of your skin !) I will usually use one pump at night and add a couple drops of water to it or make sure my skin is slightly damp. TRADER JOE'S - Rose Water Facial Toner this is a great facial spray! You can use it in the morning, night or any time of day if your skin is feeling a little parched. I work in a greenhouse so I will often spray my face with this stuff for some added hydration and a nice cooling effect. TRADER JOE'S - Watermelon Mask and Facial Mist Set (ok I did not get the set but that’s the only option there was for the product on the app sorry !) I have only tried out this mask a couple of times but I enjoy it so far ! It’s not as moisturizing as I would like so I usually do my whole night time skincare, moisturize and then put on this mask. But it smells sooo good and one of the main ingredients is squalane so if you know your skin loves that ingredient I would highly recommend trying this !

Great no frills moisturizer from Olay
For the price I was pleasantly surprised by this moisturizer. I got this from grocery outlet for about $5, hopping to find a nice moisturizer to use before applying my sunscreen in the morning. It was a little thicker ( but not oily feeling) than I was expecting but for the dry California weather it was perfect for keeping my skin hydrated through the day. I don’t know if it was just me but I also feel like this helped with the texture and small bumps on my skin. But there are no aha’s or bha’s in this moisturizer so maybe it was just wishful thinking ? For the price and pretty good ingredients I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone looking for something basic and good for their skin!

New products from Grocery Outlet
Found these new products today at my local grocery store ! The 4 pack of green tea and aloe face mask was $1.99, the Olay moisturizer was $4.99, the clay cleanser/ mask was $3.99, and the Santa mask was a whopping 25 cents ! I’m so excited to try these out and will update you after I’ve used them !

Tamanu facial oil 😍
I haven been looking for way to help my dark spots and hyper pigmentation and heard tamanu oil might help. So I thought why not try it out ? I bought this bottle off amazon for around $10 and have only been using it for about a week and I love it! I use it as my final step in my skincare routine at night and I feel like I have seen a slight lightening in my dark spots. This oil also feels so luxurious and leave my skin feeling soft. I personally don’t mind the feeling of oil on my skin but if something like that bothers you I would not recommend. It also dose have a slight green color so if you have white pillow cases it might stain a little bit ( i just put a soft cotton shirt on my pillow to avoid stains). But over all 10/10 would recommend!
Leven Rose-Tamanu Oil
I absolutely love shopping at the Grocery outlet in my area, you can find brand name skincare for cheaper than drugstore prices ( hydro boost was $9.99 and Simple hydrating sheet mask was $1 or less) ! I picked up these two today and am so excited to try them!
Neutrogena-Hydro Boost Gel-Cream
Last night's skincareroutine was focused on nourishing and hydrating: indielee rosehip cleanser: I really like it so far; it's a gentle low foam cleanser secretkey starting treatment essence: I've been frantically doing the 7skinmethod with this to finish it off, not because I dislike it but because I have a short attention span mamonde Ultra Moisture Skin Softener: this moisturizes pretty well but I feel kinda meh about it Dermapeutics Vital C: Empty!! I finished this gentle vitamin C (SAP) and hyaluronic acid serum that I found at #tjmaxx for $7.99 and I highly recommend it! TheOrdinary Alpha arbutin: like the texture much better than the niacinamide from the brand oneoseven coreflex cream essence: like this a lot so far, very nourishing and rich, perfect for people like me who need a little anti-aging! neogen white truffle oil drop in serum: enjoy this so much! Light but very moisturizing. Great for those who want to try an oil but worry it will feel too greasy. thesaem Chaga anti-aging emulsion: quite rich and nourishing for an emulsion! I notice this helps my skin stay more moisturized over a long day than if I just use cream. ladykin Vampir cream : you know I love this. Mixed with two drops of biossance revitalizer oil: not sure how I feel about this yet; maybe it was too much after such a hydrating and moisturizing routine as I felt it didn't absorb as well as I'd like.

DIY MASK BETTER THAN ANY STORE BOUGHT MASK
I have tried many many masks, both homemade and store-bought. I’ve tried Glam Glow, many from the body shop, lots of sheet masks and countless at home diy masks. This one however takes the cake, my acne has gone down considerably since using this and it doesn’t dry your skin out !! (a common issue I have with store bought masks). It’s super easy to make, and you definitely have the ingredient at home — i didn’t measure any of this but I think this is roughly what I have been doing): 2 tbsp ground oats just throw your them in the blender) ½ tbsp honey ½ tbsp milk (i used almond, but you can use anything) ½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil ½-1 tbsp turmeric Leave it on for 15-20 min and wash off... It will stain your skin a little but it’s not noticeable to anyone but you, and will go away quickly, so worth it though :)
