When you finally hit pan...
Hitting pan on a product denotes a certain level of commitment! Today I gonna introduce 3 power foundations that I have hit pan on. bareMinerals - Matte Loose Powder Mineral Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 bareMinerals is a brand specializing in mineral makeup. I love their foundation products which offer full coverage and yet are thin and lightweight. They don't clog pores, so are great for acne-prone skin. Perfect for summer. Sekkisei Snow CC Powder This refined, non-drying powder foundation from Sekkisei blends well into the skin. You also don't see traces of touch-ups. It offers a moderate coverage and is not expensive either. GUERLAIN - Lingerie de Peau Compact Powder Foundation 8.5g Apply with the applicator that comes along with the case, or with your own soft brush after applying sunscreen or primer. It provides a velvety-matte finish when you apply a thin layer. It is buildable for a fuller coverage yet it doesn't feel heavy on the face at all!! Relatively speaking, it doesn't have strong shine control, so those with oily skin can probably only use it in autumn and winter. People with combination skin will need to use this product with an oil control primer in summer. It's very suitable for dry skin in spring and summer but you'll need to use it with moisturizing primer in autumn and winter.

Comparison of Rose Face Oils: Kosmea VS. Korres
I used each bottle for about a month. I have combination-type skin with an oily T-zone. Kosmea KOSMEA - Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil Kosmea is more yellowish and has a thicker consistency, so you need to use it with a toner. Apply your toner and before it's absorbed, apply the oil. I use four drops for my whole face and follow up with a serum and facial cream. Your face will feel a bit oily after applying it, so I recommend using it at night so that it will be completely absorbed by the time you wake up. Korres KORRES - Wild Rose Brightening Oil I recommend Korres more. 😍 First of all, it has a thinner consistency and spreads easily without the need for hydration of any sort. I also use four drops of it. It's not oily on the face so it can be used both in the morning and at night. It's said to have anti-oxidation, whitening, and skin rejuvenating effects, but I feel that it also helps with absorption. I usually use it as a base to rejuvenate my skin.

Foundation Battle! Bobbi Brown VS. Estée Lauder
I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, which become especially dry in winter. I am pretty satisfied with both of these liquid foundations. 💖💖They're both moisturizing and can be easily blended using a beauty blender. Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance lasts longer and stays on the whole day. It is a life-saver for people with dry skin. I'll mix it with a drop of Aesop - Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum if I still find it a bit dry so that it's more moisturizing. 💓💓 BOBBI BROWN - Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF on the other hand, is lighter and makes my face look naturally moisturized. For the same reason, it doesn't conceal well nor does it last long, so proper pre and post-makeup is crucial. 💦💦

My Thoughts on Fresh
I recently bought some Fresh skin care products. I feel that they lean more towards moisturizing and nourishing, so I wouldn't recommend them to those who are looking for products with firming and anti-aging effects. My recommendation: The black tea seriesfresh - Black Tea Shop Gift Set, lotus series fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Creamfresh - Lotus Anti- Aging Daily Moisturizer, and the peony series 😍 I'd recommend the black tea series to those aged around 25, but not at all for those over 30 since it only has a mild anti-aging effect. The extract combination from black tea, yeast and blackberry are kind of similar to the SK-II facial treatment essence and Estée Lauder micro essence in their bio-ferment effect, though it's not as effective as those other two. I don't feel the anti-aging effect and see no improvement in my pores, but it does brighten up my face and improves dullness. Both the lotus and the peony series are refreshing and moisturizing, suitable for young girls to use as moisturizing bases. Steer clear of: Rose Series, Creme Ancienne Soft Cream The Rose Series is quite useless. Besides smelling nice, it does nothing else. I feel like I am applying mineral water on my face when using this product. The Creme Ancienne Soft Cream is both expensive and doesn't really work for me. I have three 6ml medium samples but I won't buy it after I finish the 18ml because it's not worth the price.👎

I want to talk about Clarins...
I recently bought the popular Clarins extra-firming day and night cream CLARINS - Extra–Firming Day Cream All Skin Types, treatment essence, and double serumCLARINS - Double Serum refreshing set. I have combination-oily skin, so my T-zone gets oily while my cheeks stay dry but it doesn't feel greasy even when I use it in summer. The essence is a bit sticky but it moisturizes my face immediately after it's applied. Those who do not like a thick texture may find it a bit too sticky. The day cream is a bit pinkish-orange and it feels like a normal cream, but it really balls up when I apply it. The night cream is milky white and very moisturizing without being greasy at all. I could really feel my skin becoming softer and brighter the next day. Finally, let's talk about the double serum. The official website says that it gets rid of tired looks resulting from staying up late. It's neither oily nor stuffy. It's moisturizing and softening, but I feel like it doesn't really brighten up my skin. Conclusion: The day cream balls up easily and I felt no difference after using it, so I wouldn't recommend this. I love the night cream, so I definitely recommend it. With the double serum, you'll need about two to four weeks to get used to it then you might see your skin brighten.
My thoughts on Murad Retinol Youth Renewal
This is a best-seller this year but I've never used it before so I just bought a set (serum+cream+eye cream) and gave it a go. I've been using it for about a week as of now and here is my review. I have combination-oily skin. Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Serum It looks thick, but it actually absorbs very easily after application and doesn't feel greasy at all. It feels very moisturizing instead and smells nice. I've also been using retinol for a year already so I didn't find it irritating at all! I couldn't see any immediate anti-aging effect, but I could feel my face revitalized. The only downside is its bulky packaging which means it doesn't come cheap! 🙃 Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream The texture of this one feels a bit granular, so it's not very delicate and is relatively oily but it's still quite easy to apply. It feels a little oily on my face but not so much that my face shimmers. But I really dislike its smell. 😰 Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum This has a very thin texture and absorbs quickly. As an eye product with Retinol, I think it is worth a try. It does take a bit of time to see the effect of retinol on our skin, to me, the most important thing is to find the right product then use it consistently. 💪🏻💪🏻
