CND - Vinylux Weekly Polish

Current Nail Obsession
CND - Vinylux Weekly Polish I’ve been obsessed with this color (field fox). I just repainted my nails and topped it with Vinylux’s clear topcoat and had to take a photo! Iove how this polish wears and how it lasts. It’s like having the look of gel nails with having the ease of regular polish to remove. I’ve already purchased a second back-up. But thinking of adding a new color to my arsenal...any suggestions?
how to get the perfect at-home mani
there’s nothing more frustrating than going to paint your nails and ending up with a mess 🙃 that’s why I love OLIVE&JUNE - The Poppy Manicure Tool . it’s a universal nail polish handle that’s ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip that gives you more control while you paint your nails. I didn’t know I needed this all my life, but I sure did. it fits over the cap of any olive and june polish, and while I haven’t tried it with other brands, it seems like the silicone (?) poppy would fit over other caps as well. I have olive and june’s clear top coat, so I used it with the poppy to seal my latest at-home mani. I love this because I can see it being especially beneficial for those with conditions that make it difficult to hold a small nail polish cap. the poppy is much more comfortable to hold, and I love seeing inclusive design (I’d love to hear from anyone on this who tends to struggle with painting their nails—did this help?) the poppy is $16 and comes in white and pink. if you paint your nails on a regular basis and/or if you’re someone who needs a little help when it comes to control and/or grip, I definitely recommend checking it out.

🖤 DIY Almond black nails on Press-Ons 🖤
The struggle to grow your nails and not break them is real. I rubbed them with castor oil all the time, but they just kept going *snap*. But I have small nail beds, and the almond shape is my favorite. And by painting press on nails, I think I saved time and money. I did it in 2 steps: 🌟 Step 1) Glue your press-ons. I used the KISS - Kiss Salon Acrylic Natural Nails Forbidden Stiletto Shaped Nails from Amazon. I had to shave the edges of the smallest nails to fit mine, but the acrylic material is REALLY strong. I can hear the click clack of my nails on my phone while typing 😆 It comes with a glue I just applied directly to my clean nails. Then you need to act fast- press the acrylic firmly on your nail. It’ll be dry in 10 seconds, really. Careful, though~ It CAN tug and bond your skin together 👎🏼 my only criticism besides size is that the glue stick hurts to squeeze. It’s tiny and tough to release a little bit at a time, but still- a softer grip would be nice. 🎨 Step 2) Paint time I used the Sally Hansen Xtreme wear polish in 629) Black Out. 🌑 Here’s a review of each: ORLY - Orly Base Coat & Top Coat One of the best base coats imo. With regular polish on my natural nail, this has prevented chipping for up to 5 days. It has a tiny orange tint, evening out nail tone like a primer. Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear Nail Polish In two coats, this black was super opaque. It’s a true black, not blue-tinted or brown. But as shown in pic 3, 1 coat is a little translucent under the sun. The polish also smells more like chemicals, stronger than other brands. Still, it delivered in the color department. essie - Gel.Setter Top Coat I love this little one. It’s thick and viscous, but way glossier than traditional lacquer top coats. It made my nails shine like a mirror. Don’t lay it all at once to avoid air bubbles, but pick this up if you like extra glossiness. 🌰 On nail shapes: Almond Some people label this as stiletto nails. I think it’s more almond because the end is round instead of sharp and pointy Almond nails give the illusion of a longer nail than square, oval, or ballerina nails do. I thought fully sharp stiletto nails would look too vampiric for my taste, but that’s just me. But if you get these nails and want them to be sharper, you can definitely file them They’re flexible enough to fit comfortably, but strong enough for reshaping. 🌹 FINAL NOTES 🌹 I’m happy with each of these products, all things considered. Something about applying polish to press on nails also feels like it dries faster. This method doesnt have the same security as salon-grade acrylics. I had to re-glue my pinky nail last night. 💫 But if you want DIY acrylic nails, this is worth a shot.

It is between elegance and cute💓You can never go wrong with it!
Summer is the best season to change manicure style, and the season I most frequent the manicure salon. I prefer gel manicure, since it lasts longer and always stays shiny! Keep on note to wear sun cream on hands before put your hands into UV light if you don’t wanna get tanned! Pink ombre nails is my frequent wear in summer, it looks more special than crème and not too stand out if you still need to work or school. Pink ombre is at the perfect balance between elegance and cute, suitable for any age or any occasions. More important, it’s the best match for whatever you wear! Jeans, OK! Evening dress, OK! Business suit, OK! T-shirt, OK! Since it’s a simple style, the time for doing it doesn’t take long, if you have done the filing, it takes only 30 minutes, including the time for UV light. If you start from the first beginning, it might need 50 minutes. The cost is quite fair, with around $20 or up, if you wanna put on some ornament, it charges as well. The shape designed for my manicure is soft square, with square shape and softer edges, which is my favourite shape ever! Because I don’t wanna my nails grow too long, as it’s quite disturbing if I cook or type. Square shape requires longer nails, but softer square only needs medium long nails. It remains the elegance and convenience in daily life at the same time! Soft square also doesn’t pick colours, but if your nails is too short and wide, you might need to choose darker or bolder colour.

🩰 OPI Dulce de Leche is Stunning
So I wrote about my experience painting on press-on nails in my last 🖤Almond black nails 🖤 post. I used the same acrylics, base coat, and top coat in that post as in this image. If you like the look of this almond-shaped base, I suggest you read that post! Otherwise, I’m gonna review 2 other products today! OPI Dulce de Leche and Sally Hansen Dry & Go Drops. 🥮 OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer 🍑 COLOR- I found this color through reddit, where it got a lot of love from Laqueristas. It seemed to be universally loved for all skin tones. It looks nude or even cool toned on lighter skin. On darker skin tones, it tends to look like a warmer pink I’m hesitant to call it a universally flattering color because there’s a wide range of skin tones. But since it looks cool or warm depending on the setting, I think it’s a good first nude pink to test if you’re new to polish One more thing: on myself, it looks a LOT better on long nails than short nails. On short nails, it somehow looked too dull and blended in. Longer nails suited it more for me to make it look elegant and bring out its rosy tones. 🏹 PERFORMANCE- This color went on opaque in 1 coat! To be fair, I laid my first coat on thick. But there’s no need for a third coat to get vivid color at all It went on even, not patchy or runny. Plus, the brush is a little flat to help even application. I liked it more than the thin brush a lot of Essie products give you to work with (though I think they’re changing the packaging.) It didn’t take too long to dry- maybe an hour, though I got help from the next product. 🌊 Sally Hansen - Salon Manicure Dry & Go Drops I put two drops of this product on each nail. It covered it completely. In between coats, I didn’t wait more than a minute for each to dry. This solution feels like it creates a protective thin coat around your nail. 5 minutes after application, you can safely (though gently) touch the surface of your nails together without damage. What you CANT do though is put a lot of pressure on it. That will cause a thick smudge that looks like beautiful ocean ripples of dulce de leche. But the product is worth it because it protects your nails from surface level nicks. 🍯 WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT ? 🍯 Yes, 100%. I’ve used patchy, uneven nude polishes before. This is not one of them. I can see why it’s a classic. Almond shaped nails are my favorite because of how elegant they look, but this color would also look STUNNING on ballerina shaped nails. 🩰
