The 👏🏼LITERAL👏🏼 HOLY 👏🏼GRAIL👏🏼

Let me tell you about this product from @LUSH, LUSH - Ultrabland
. This is the HOLY GRAIL of oil based cleansers. I cannot speak highly enough. It’s actually somewhat of a controversial recommendation that I have given people because on some skin types it causes breakouts the first week or two that you use it. Do not be alarmed if this happens because I think the skin is getting used to having a thicker cleanser that is oil based. That being said, if you stick it out for the first two weeks then you will not be disappointed. Ultrabland is a thick oily cream that you smooth onto dry skin and rub in for 2-3 minutes before washing it off with a hot (and I mean HOT 🥵) wet facecloth. Don’t tell anyone but I steal the towels from my gym for this purpose. I know it sounds gross but I wash them very thoroughly. Anyway, I just wipe it off with my hot facecloth and you can see just how much your makeup remover left behind or if you didn’t wear makeup, the residue from the day, comes off your skin. The feeling after wiping it off is soft and moisturized skin. I can understand how it may be too thick and leave a residue for some people but I assure you if you wash it off with a hot facecloth it feels soooooooo good. It can be moisturizing enough to not need a night cream but sometimes I will follow up with serum and moisturizer (totally a personal choice and depends greatly on how much time I have or how extra I want to be). The only (and I mean only) downside to this cleanser for me is the time it takes. It’s not an easy low maintenance addition to your routine with all the rubbing, waiting for the water to get hot and wiping but it’s totally worth it. Oh and last thing to note is that I never use this in the morning mainly because I think it leaves too much moisture on my face and makes my skin feel thick. This being said, it’s great before bed year round but especially in the winter. I urge anyone and everyone to try this. It comes in two sizes and isn’t crazy expensive. Plus, I’ve found that most LUSH products last me a good six months before I have to buy again. NOTE: this review is from a dedicated LUSHie yet I’m not biased because, like with any brand, there are things I didn’t like that I’ve tried BUT, I’ve been using Ultrabland for 5+ years now and am obsessed with it.

Uncommon reaction?
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on here so I’m not too sure if anyone will actually read this but if anyone does, I would really appreciate the advice! I recently purchased the Cerave PM moisturizer because the ingredients seemed amazing and I was super excited. I love the texture and really enjoy applying this but for some reason it has been causing me a lot of redness (specifically around my cheeks and nose). I also feel minor stinging and tenderness to the touch. I’m not too sure why this could be as most of the ingredients are already familiar to my skin (I’ve been using hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in the morning for months). In case there is another red flag in my routine that could be causing this, I can share current PM skincare routine! • LUSH - Ultrabland I use this as a cleansing balm on nights when I double cleanse (I know it’s not the best but I want to finish my tub before buying a new one). •DERMA•E - Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser I don’t mind this but I think I’d like to try out a more gentle cleanser once I run out of this! •The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' I really enjoy this serum but I’m not too sure if I’ve seen many results after using it for about 2 months. •The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Amazing for under eyes! • CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Still figuring out if my skin can handle this but I was previously using The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and I really enjoy this moisturizer, but I think I would prefer a gel consistency similar to the Cerave one. •The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I don’t fully know what this does for my skin but I absolutely love using it. It has never clogged my pores or caused me to be more oily in the morning like other oils have. Not to mention how amazing it feels on your skin! Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to try to help!

My skincare routine
NOTE: I have since updated my routine! New post coming soon A little background on my skin: I have struggled with acne seen I was a teenager. I’m now dealing with comedonal acne on my cheeks/ chin. I have combo skin that is quite dehydrated. I wanted to develop a skincare routine that would help with acne and textural irregularities, even my skin tone and give me glowing skin! So here it is! Let me know what you guys think! PM (daily): CLEANSE: I double cleanse starting with removing my makeup using LUSH - Ultrabland . It’s good at removing makeup but it is super thick and hard to get off so once I’m done with this tub I will probably try a different makeup removing cleanser. I then go in with either the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser or CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I keep one in the shower and one by my sink so whichever one is handy is the one I use. TONE: toner isn’t a necessary part of a skincare routine but I like the way Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner feels and it’s Hyram approved so I figure it can’t be doing any harm. TREAT: I have used a prescription retinoid (tretinoin) for the past year or so. Helps with acne and signs of aging. I then use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 to hydrate my skin. I used to use this in the morning but I don’t love the way it feels under my makeup. MOISTURIZE: I use CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion which is great for hydration but even though it’s targeted for oily skin I feel like my skin is super oily after... so I might switch back to using Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream which feels really cool and calming on the skin and doesn’t leave me oily. AM(daily): Cleanse with one of the two cera ve cleansers listed above. Tone with the same toner. TREAT: I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and I absolutely love it. It has helped with controlling my oil production and it has so many other amazing benefits. If I’m feeling dry I will use Kiehl's - Hydro Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate which has glycerin. I will then moisturize with CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 . I will then use The Ordinary - High-Adherence Silicone Primer as a base for my makeup. Once a week (Sunday) I use The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque . My skin feels so smooth after. Twice a week in the PM (instead of tretinoin) I use The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA for mild exfoliation. Thoughts?

An OKAY cleansing balm! 😯
An OKAY cleansing balm! 😯
FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm I just finished this balm, and as you can tell my jar is busted up and been through it lol! The Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm is great and it gets off all your makeup. Although, I found it giving me a blurred vision when I applied it around my eyes. Anyone else having this problem? I like how the product takes off the rest of the makeup, so to avoid blurred vision I use Micellar Water and a cotton pad to remove the makeup around my eyes. Although, I will not be repurchasing this product because it does contain polyethylene which is a form of plastic and can be harmful to marine wildlife. Do you double cleanse? Double cleansing is an essential process in your night time skincare routine if you are wearing makeup everyday or are wearing heavy products such as sunscreen on your face throughout the day. Double cleansing involves applying an oil or balm based cleanser as the first step in your skincare routine. Apply with dry hands and watch all the makeup simply melt off. Then, use your regular cleanser as your second step. This method breaks down the products on your face and allows for a deeper cleaning system. It may seem like a longer process but your skin will thank you in the long run. Ditch the makeup wipes and stick to a good double cleanse!! Always do your research before trying new products!

“makeup melting” balm

I’ve used this product around 10 times so I feel I can confidently give my opinion on it. Product info- So, as an oil cleansing balm it’s made to be rubbed into dry skin with dry hands, and it will take off any makeup and/or sunscreen you have on from the day. Oil cleansers are great for a first cleanse, because then you can use a deeper cleansing cleanser afterward. As you can see from the pictures, it is in solid form but once warmed by rubbing into your skin, it solidifies into an oil. My opinion- I did not dislike this product, however it is not my favorite cleansing oil/balm, for a few reasons. One being that it leaves a slight film over the face once rinsed off- however I don’t mind too much because my 2nd cleanser will wash that away- just inconvenient for the people who don’t use a 2nd cleanser, OR if I just wanted a quick cleanse sometime. Secondly, it stings the eyes quite a bit if it gets inside of them, and that usually happens with a makeup removing product as you’re taking off eye makeup, so of course that isn’t pleasant. Thirdly, the scent is a little strong- it isn’t a bad scent, it reminds me a lot of grape flavored candy. I’m personally not too sensitive to fragrance so it was fine for me but I know there is a lot of people who are so I’m sure that could be a little irritating to some. Overall- Because it’s a fair price point, I would recommend to people who need a makeup removing cleansing balm but don’t want to break the bank - however not if they have sensitive skin. But if they have normal skin, I would recommend. I think the product is worth it as it does the job it says and that is removing the makeup- which it does pretty well. That’s why I rate it 3/5 because the cons take off 2 stars but because it still works and does what it’s market to do at the end of the day and did not cause me any breakouts and/or irritation, so I give it a 3/5 stars. The Farmacy Clean Bee is a fac
The Farmacy Clean Bee is a facial cleanser that is meant to remove excess oil and makeup. It has thick consistency but it lathers up well when you use it. I love the bottle this product comes in. It’s a simple package with a pump, and the bottle is clear so you can see how much you have left. I used the product for a few days because it was recommended to me and I needed a new cleanser. I started noticing I was breaking out more than usual. I kept using this cleanser because I didn’t know what was causing it. The breakouts weren’t going away and then I realized it is probably cleanser. I stopped using it immediately and my skin began to clear up. I then tried this cleanser again, because I’ve seen so many rave reviews and thought “that couldn’t be what made me break out, everyone loves this!” Nope, started breaking out again. Since then I have stopped using this cleanser. I did like it though, it helped remove all my waterproof makeup easily and it felt nice. My skin just didn’t like something in it. It does have a light scent, which I didn’t like but it went away as soon as you washed it off your face. It is $28 for 5 oz, which is on par with most cleansers. Even though it didn’t work for me, I would still recommend anyone to try it at least. If you start breaking out, you’ll know its this. I suggest getting a sample to try out before committing to a full bottle.

Always sad when I get down to the bottom

This mini of the FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm has been in my travel bag for some time. It probably would have been gone two months ago if I was still traveling for work. I recently went on a short weekend trip back to my hometown for some wedding-related appointments. I am hoping to get one more weekend trip of use out of what’s left! Green Clean is somewhat of an “OG classic” here in the beauty community for a good reason - it’s awesome. This very lightly fresh-scented, silky balm melts almost instantly down to an oil in my hands. It breaks down even the most stubborn makeup. I always use cleansing balms or oils as my first cleanse, remove with water or a reusable cotton round, then follow with another cleanser. This cleansing balm contains sunflower and ginger oils, turmeric and moringa extracts, and papaya enzyme to break down makeup and SPF, remove impurities, and natural exfoliate pores without leaving a filmy residue behind. Of course, this is all without drying skin out! This balm is suitable for all skin types. A little goes a long way, so a full size can last many months. I have 1 more of these minis to pop in my travel bag in the future. I will continue to repurchase this cleansing balm! Price: $34 for 3.4oz, $22 for 1.7oz Availability: Sephora, Farmacy’s website, and other online retailers

Skin type: combination, acne prone. The product: lightweight makeup remover quickly dissolves eye and face makeup’s and sunscreens. Texture: silky balm. Experience: It’s a non-drying, non-greasy cleansing balm that removes makeup and skin residue very well. Remove everything easily without damaging my skin, love it 😍. In a purchase at Clinique site got a sample of the make-up remover of eyes and lips and I didn’t like it, it’s formula is very greasy and it clouded my eyes, this balm is better. 👍🏻👎🏻: like. Uncover The Truth 3-in-1 Melti
Uncover The Truth 3-in-1 Melting Cleanser🎃 • Thought I’d get my ~Spooky Vibes~ on with this orange beauty!!! • It contains rosehip, sweet almond oil, vitamin E & vitamin C. This cleanser turns from gel to oil to milk, (hence 3-in-1) melting away makeup, spf, and impurities from the skin. • I really like this cleanser as the first step of my double cleanse. The gel consistency it begins as is very light, and overall the cleanser isn’t super heavy or oily, which I like. • It’s also super satisfying when the cleanser turns milky 🙌🏼 My acne prone skin has had no issues with this cleanser. It’s currently one of my faves, I’m always reaching for it for my first cleanse! • I’m not sure if I would repurchase, only because there’s a lot of product to get through, and by the time I’m finished it I am going to want to try out something new!
