makeupxdanseeeI am dying to try out this cleansing balm! I am an absolute sucker for cleansing balms. 😍
How do you double cleanse? 🧼
I've been using my Glow Recipe Papaya Enzyme Cleansing Sorbet every night in my double cleansing routine since I purchased it several weeks ago. The scent has to be my favorite. It smells so sweetly of fruit, it makes for such a great experience, and I haven't noticed any adverse effects from the fragrance. It lathers well and removes makeup, dirt and spf with the tiniest amount. The only downside is that it "lathers" very thick and takes several washes (and a lot of water) to remove the balm. I like going straight in with my second cleanse to help remove that buildup. Afterward, I don't notice a film or tightness and my skin feels smooth to the touch. Your thoughts on double cleansing? A nice touch to the double cleanse
GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm I succumbed to the Glow Recipe appealing marketing tactics and purchase their new Papaya Sorbet Cleansing Balm. The packaging and presentation is an absolute delight, it definitely gets 5 stars and proudly would display this as its very pleasing on the eye! I love also that it glides on the skin like a dream and really lifts the daily grime of make up off, so as far as I’m concerned, it does the job. I’ve seen reviews saying that users find it difficult to get off or becomes extremely “waxy and stringy”. Personally I have never experienced this: I massage onto dry skin, work it in for 60 seconds and then use a soft microfibre cloth moistened in luke warm water and gently remove the balm with the cloth until it’s all gone. I’m left with a very clean, fresh and soft face and then go in with my second gentle milk cleanser (like LA ROCHE-POSAY - TOLERIANE DERMO-CLEANSER ) I gave it 4 stars only because I do find the smell a bit strong, and as a first time user of this problem I’m just wondering as time goes on it’ll become quite a sickly smell - for me. I also prefer no fragrance anyway. Would I repurchase? I would say “yes”, but only as a splurge once or twice a year. As it is quite expensive for something that’ll be washed off your skin in 2 minutes. But I was quite excited to use it and may even keep the jar once it’s all used up!
The new Glow Recipe Papaya Cleansing Balm!
I recently decided to be gentler with my skin and purchased my first cleansing balm! I also dislike that I have to cleanse like 4 times with a regular soap to really get all the gunk off—which happens even after using micellar water and makeup wipes. My initial worries were that I would be left with yucky residue and/or get cloudy eyes from the product. But alas! This is everything I wanted—and more. GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm Dipping the tiny spatula into the balm for the first time was like getting that first scoop of ice cream—extremely satisfying. The texture at first is indeed like a thick balm, but melts into a rich oil with movement. The scent is subtle and fresh, not overpowering nor cloying. I used probably the size of my thumbnail, but I know I could get away with using half that amount because it spreads very easily. After cleansing for a minute, I added some water to the mix to create a sudsier emulsion. After fully rinsing, I was very pleased to find my skin free of any residue at all! Like literally none. And I never once had product cloud up my eyes. I felt so fresh I could’ve gone to bed without double cleansing at all (but I did of course because I’m crazy for a good dc). I have never been so 100% clean yet also moisturized after cleansing?! If you are looking for a less abrasive way to remove the day off your face or if you already love cleansing balms, you should give this a try! This is a nice little treat for your skin! It really gets everything off in one go—no more wasteful quadruple cleansing with regular face soap. PRO TIP: use pretty warm, not too hot, water to rinse this off! It will come off easily this way! Already have this? What do you think? Are there other cleansing balms you guys could recommend to me? Leave it in the comments! 🤍

FRESH JUMBO SOY CLEANSER 🤤
I can't even describe how excited I was when I found out that Fresh Beauty was launching their Soy Cleanser in a massive jumbo size version. I was thrilled to have been gifted this giant bb by their team, and after just having ran out of my regular sized Soy Cleanser, this couldn't have came at a better time! This bottle is even more massive than it appears in photographs, and will absolutely carry you throughout the year ( depending on how excessively you cleanse that is ). There's truly something special about this product, in that it's super gentle on the skin, yet extremely effective at giving just the right amount of cleanse & removing dirt and impurities. It makes your face feel so hydrated & nourished, and leaves a beautiful glow to the skin. If you have been on the fence about trying this product, and are unsure whether it's worth the investment, I can absolutely assure you that it is. If your not comfortable with purchasing the jumbo size ( which is definitely the better investment imo ) then you can always start out with the original size cleanser. But as far as value for your dollar, this jumbo is the way to go. I love Fresh Beauty products and the care & quality they put into them. This is one brand I wholeheartedly trust with my skin, and who's products and ingredient list I never have to second guess. I reccomend this fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo along with all the other beautiful products they create. #cheriepartner

DOUBLE CLEANSING 101
This duo is super effective and gentle if you’re new to the world of double cleansing. Double cleansing is basically the process of using an oil/balm/sometimes micellar cleanser to remove make up and SPF before using your regular cleanser. I love using GO-TO - Fancy Face as my first cleanse to remove make up and SPF, I use about three to four pumps and that removes a full face of make up. It has good slip, is non irritating and leaves my skin feeling nourished afterwards. Work the first cleanse around your face for about a minute to really get it all off. Then, add a little water to start to emulsify and remove with a damp muslin cloth. You can then go in with your second cleanse. This is where you want your hydrating/clearing/ foaming sort of cleanser, that’ll remove anything left from the first cleanse and give back to your skin. My current choice is GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser Work this around your face for a good minute and then remove with a damp muslin. So good! Skin is now prepped and ready for the rest of your routine ☺️
GLOW RECIPE-Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
I’ve been hearing a lot about double cleansing lately and so I thought I’d dive in and try it myself because, why not? 🤷🏼♂️ I’m just trying to get the best skin possible! You’re suppose to start with an oil cleanser to remove makeup, serum, sweat, etc. After you cleanse with you’re oil cleanser you’re suppose to follow up with a water based cleanser so that it can penetrate deep after you have removed everything with the first cleanser. I tend to be more on the dry side so I was a little nervous to start double cleansing at night, especially since I rarely wear makeup unless my skin is having a seriously bad day. I already had the two cleansers I’ve been trying it with, I’ve always thought both did a great job by themselves and are gentle enough to use together. I’ve been double cleansing at night for about a week now and I gotta say, my skin is looking pretty clear and has remained hydrated. I’ll honesty keep it up for now because I’m liking what I’m seeing. Is anyone else double cleansing these days? Do you think it’s worth it? I’d be curious to know what you’re using as well because it’s a totally new concept to me. TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser Love the ingredients in this oil. Been using it awhile and even find that it removes makeup well. HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash This is a newer product for me but I’ve been loving it! Great texture and is super gentle and hydrating.

Smooth like buttah
If you’re a member of the glow gang, you probably got alerted when they released their new product last week. This papaya sorbet enzyme balm takes away makeup, spf, and oils from your skin. I immediately bought it the morning it was released and have been enjoying using it the last couple days. Today was the first time I’ve worn makeup so I really got to test this sucker out. And wow am I impressed! The blueberry bounce cleanser claims to remove makeup, but it just couldn’t handle the eye makeup and I always had to use a makeup wipe anyways. This product however, completely removed all of my makeup, was more gentle on my eyes, and leaves my skin feeling buttery smooth. I still plan on using the blueberry bounce cleanser after, so I am def hopping aboard the double cleansing wagon and tossing out my makeup wipes! I can already tell that my skin and eyelashes will be thanking me.
GLOW RECIPE-Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm
A gentle cleansing balm
GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm I love double cleansing and cleansing balms are precious. So, when I got to know Glow recipe is launching a cleansing balm, I was quite excited and had to try that. Did I like it? Lets find out. . 🔍WHAT IS IT? A cleansing balm with a smooth buttery texture that emulsifies pretty well when in contact with water and is gentle for all skin types. . 🔍KEY INGREDIENTS: This balm to milky oil formula is packed with exfoliating and calming papaya seed oil, papaya enzymes, papaya extract, and antioxidant-rich blueberry. It also contains Camellia japonica seed oil, strawberry extract and apricot kernel oil. It uses polyethylene but it is a safe, cosmetic-grade polymer, and is different from the household plastics or microbeads (as described). . 🔍MY EXPERIENCE: (I have a normal to dry skin): The formula dissolved the makeup/SPF effortlessly without causing any irritation or stripping my skin. It did not sting my eyes, unlike a few other cleansing balms. I have not done an eye makeup in a while, so I still need to find out if the balm melts away the eyeshadow or the eyeliner. It has a thicker texture, so need to rinse well to remove it. But that slight film on the skin was not an issue as I followed with a water based cleanser. I love the light fresh fruity scent. There is no added fragrance (in case you are sensitive to it). I did not like the plastic spatula that comes with this balm. . 🔍PRICE: $32 for 3.4 oz . 🔍WILL I REPURCHASE IT: NO. I have some other cleansing balm which I like more (just a personal preference). . Vegan. Cruelty-free. Free of PEG, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Sulfates, Silicones, Phthalates, Drying Alcohols, Synthetic Dyes, Fragrance. I like that it comes in a recyclable packaging. #CheriePartner #CherieCreator
